Places to stay in Cedar Crest
Hello. Hallo. Hola. Bonjour!! I live on the crossroads of Route 66 and the Turquoise Trail in Cedar Crest, New Mexico, USA. I live on 2.2 acres of piñon forest, in a beautiful and safe neighborhood behind San Antonio church. Behind the house, there is 80 acres of "open space" suited with running or hiking trails. Sandia Crest is 20' away. I am located one mile North of Hwy 40. Albuquerque is only 15 ' away. The airport is 30' away and you can be in Santa Fe in an hour via hwy 14.
Just North of Route 66 in Tijeras/Cedar Crest. Restaurants: Green Side, Ribs, Burger Boy, Trail rider Pizza. Music and beer: Molly's, Ale Republic. Hiking and biking in the Sandia Mountains.
  • I found Ann's place to be very comfortable (she had a warm fire going for me when I returned from dinner) and in a beautiful location with a hiking trail for an early morning walk just around the corner. She was very welcoming and made me feel welcome.

    Sally2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Another great stay with Ann! Very comfortable setting and very quiet for a good night’s sleep. Thank you again for hosting me! See you again in March!

  • Even though Ann was sharing her house with us, the area with the bedroom, bathroom, and living area was quite private. Ann is a great host, and a pleasure to talk to.

    William2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Ann’s house. She is a fantastic host and looked after all of our needs. I especially appreciated her having the fireplace going for us. The beds were very comfortable and everything we needed was right their including iron and hairdryer. Her place was very close to our destination and she had great recommendations for places to eat. We will be back.

Great location on NM State Hwy N 14 (aka The Turquoise Trail) just N of Frost Rd. Abt 30 mins to Abq and 50 mins to Santa Fe. Apt is a single unit that shares the property with a ceramics studio, a hair & nail salon and a yoga & massage studio. Several restaurants & bars in the Sandia Park, Cedar Crest and Tijeras area, as well as an excellent grocery store. Apt has a full kitchen with dishes, cooking tools, etc. Towels & bedding provided. TV, wifi, parking. Rural setting, quiet at night.
Apartment shares the property with an old stone schoolhouse built in 1919, restored in 2008 and currently being used as a yoga and massage studio. There is also a hair and nail salon on the property. Both businesses are owned and run by local residents and are often quite busy during the day and early evening. Guests can schedule an appointment for hair, nails or a massage directly with owners. Most yoga sessions are open to the public.
An old neighborhood once known as San Antonito but now commonly referred to as Sandia Park. There are still many remnants of previous times. The Old San Antonito Schoolhouse, located right on the property, is a prime example, but there is also the San Antonito church and cemetery right across N 14, as well as many historic stone and adobe structures in the area.
  • Our friends loved this space

    Susan2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, great host!

  • Sharon's place was quaint and cozy and had everything we needed. Had a nice yard for the dog. We really enjoyed our stay.

  • What a fabulous place! Convenient location, charming and extra touches throughout!

    Amber2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed for over a week and the apartment is very comfortable, private and peaceful considering it is next door to some businesses. It is in a beautiful area, and there’s a grocery store and gas nearby. Sharon is a responsive and nice host and I’m looking forward to staying again!

    Erika2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place and a wonderful place to stay would suggest this stay for anyone.

    Jimmy2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable space. My wife & I didn't feel like we were on top of each other. Full kitchen and Triangle Grocery is just 3 miles down the road. 30 minutes from pretty much any place in Albuquerque, yet the drive doesn't "feel" like 30 minutes to get there. If/when we return to ABQ, this is the only place we'll stay. Thanks, Sharon.

    Brian2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • We would like to highly recommend this place, especially if you need a quiet/secure place for equipment while working in Albuquerque. Only a 30 min. drive into town, no traffic. So if coming from Los Angeles, this is a dream. Feel the stress release while driving up the mountain, after a long work day, to this oasis in the East Mountains. Yoga is with-in walking distance or get a great massage. Theres a great little market, BBQ restaurant, Coffee Shop and Brewery all about 5 minutes away. Wifi is awesome! Anyone doing movie work and needs a long term stay, this is the place you want to be!!!

Not only did Bill and Denise provide the best breakfast, catering to my gluten free and dairy free needs, but they also provided me with a bike for transport to and from my retreat AND gave me a ride back to the airport. They were very communicative and kind. I would HIGHLY recommend this for anyone but especially for people escaping the city; you’re soul will be rejuvenated in this warm hearted home.

  • Clean private room. Very well kept and comfortable. Very close to the Sandia Tramway. Would definitely stay here again.

    J2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Marcy had so many nice touches - coffees with every flavor of creamer, singles coffee bags, lots of nice teas, even hot chocolate - so nice for coming home from a cold walk. Marcy was kind enough to check in if I needed a ride one afternoon and offered to let mtag in for a grocery run if I needed it :) I was spending a week doing Panchakarma at the Ayurvedic Institute and it was a quick 14 minute walk away. Nice neighborhood, felt very safe. This was a terrific alternative to staying in the PK house and having to share a bath. So glad I found Marcy. I will stay here again.

    Lili2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Marcy's guest suite was better than I expected. She had everything you could possibly need, ranging from towels to lotion. Amazing amenities and privacy. The room is connected to the main house. However, there is a private entrance and light noise wasn't bothersome, in my opinion. Would recommend staying here! :)

    Elizabeth2020-01-11T00:00:00Z

This is a truly unique, one of a kind guest suite. It's located in a 1940s building that was originally a Route 66 Trading Post. The suite is decorated with an eclectic mix of antiques, local photography and southwest accents. The location is fantastic, it has easy freeway access and is located at the base of the Sandia mountains for great views and easy access to hiking. The suite is just 5 minutes outside of Albuquerque for convenient access to restaurants, shopping, attractions and more.
Please note the unique layout. The bathroom is only accessible through the bedroom. This makes the guest suite great for couples, but not so great for larger groups. Also, there is a locked door and a shared wall between the guest suite and the side of the home that I live on. The main area of the guest suite is a large living area with a futon bed, full size couch, loveseat and dinning area with a kitchenette (minifridge/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, hot plate, pots and pans, electric tea kettle, dishes and utensils). Filtered drinking water is provided The bedroom has a queen bed, nightstands and antique dresser The bathroom is accessible via the bedroom and has a large vanity, and a separate room with the tub/shower and toilet. Towels, body wash and shampoo/conditioner are provided. Air conditioning is via the window unit swamp/evaporative cooler which does a great job of cooling things off. It is operational for the summer season from mid-may to October.
The house is located in the Monticello neighborhood within the community of Carnuel. This neighborhood is rural (but only 5 minutes from Albuquerque) and has many nice hiking trails.
  • Nice trails close by!

  • Anika’s place is a wonderful listing - convenient and scenic ! I would definitely stay here again!

    Alexis2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful place to stay! I was worried about how difficult it would be to access the city, but was happy to find out that Anika's place is just five minutes up the road. It feels secluded, but the cell phone signal and drive into town were better than we thought. I also loved seeing all the greenery they are growing inside! Makes everything feel so cozy.

The peace and quiet, hundreds of books to read, well-placed chairs with lovely views, and brochures of local attractions... fine hospitality and the best location ever, I'll be back sooner than later- and I'm bringing friends!

Looking for something different? Just need a small space to stay in? This will fit the bill. Small travel trailer with everything in it. Sink, 2 burner stove, small fridge, wet bath. Seating area coverts into large bed. Winter use: won't have running water. Can still use the toilet but sink and shower won't work. Trailer is heated. We use this trailer frequently in the winter months.

  • My wife became ill and was unable to travel on our scheduled days so we did not have the pleasure of meeting Tim & Lina and seeing thier great space. HOWEVER, they were terrific about communication and had a delectable menu planned for an evening dinner we had requested. They were very understanding about our cancellation and my wife and I look forward to re-booking so that we may experience the beauty of the NM mountains with fine hosts.

  • Tim and Lina's place is a lovely rustic place. Very neat and quiet. They are so friendly, easy going and a hard working couple. They make you feel at home.

  • This is a real farmhouse with hard-working people that love each other. This house is lived in (so refreshing). You don’t have to panic if you spill your juice, you don’t have to be afraid to put your head on the pillow. Some “stays”, are like visiting a museum, I don’t want to go to the Getty, I want to go home, to an Airbnb I can relax at. The home is so comfortable, views are so visually stimulating, don’t kid, I extended my stay and I’m sad to leave. Enjoy

    Monique2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Tim and Lina were wonderful!! I plan on going back again it was so peaceful!!

  • Do not miss staying at this gem of a place. The furnishings and art make the home feel truly NM. It is extremely clean and enjoyable to stay at. Loved our suite with private bath and balcony and view of mountains and I cant say enough about the warm hospitality Jim and Susan gave. We felt very welcome there and use of kitchen and living areas. Loved everything about our stay. Would recommend and come again!

  • Our stay here was amazing. If you are an inaturalist fan/user this place is great! Plus it’s close to a lot of trails. I know some people on here had noise complaints but honestly with the setup, community & communication is key. Being the grumpy old lady who goes down stairs to ask the kids to quiet down was easy. ;p Overall as female travelers, coming to this place, it felt welcoming and safe. Not once did we feel unsafe. If you are looking for a place with a cool vibe, I’d suggest booking here.

    Brittany2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Get set for down home country living. The Host, Jim, is accommodating, pleasant and even entertaining. Susan, the inn staffer, was also as pleasant and helpful as could be. The room was generously supplied with all you need to make you comfortable. The town of Cedar Crest has all the amenities most might need (store, post office, coffee shop, and best of all, a GREAT thrift/antique store). And, if you need more, Albuquerque is only a hop-skip-and-a-jump away. But what we most enjoyed was the deer eating apples off the tree in Jim's backyard, and the bobcat—one almost never sees—traipsing across the property one sunny day. A great get-a-way for the price!

    Lynda2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Jim's Inn is in a perfect location to serve as "basecamp" for a Cycling weekend. There are lots of good roads and MTB trails within a short distance from the Inn. Cedar Crest has great amenities (cafe, microbrewery, burritos, BBQ, groceries, etc) all within walking distance from the Inn. The town is also a reasonable distance (to pedal) from downtown Albuquerque. The people in town were great. Jim's Inn was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. He even provided secure space for us to store our bikes at night. All in all, it was a great experience.

Come and enjoy the serenity of the mountains, and we are only 30 minutes from Old Town and Downtown Albuquerque.
This is a getaway from city life, 2 acres in the mountains.
We live in the mountains away from City Life. Our neighbors are not to close and we hardly know they are there.
  • Great place. Comfy mattress. Warm sleeping bag. Cutest cat. Very clean bathreem

  • Tim and Lina are great hosts They were very prompted at getting back to me. The tent was only a few feet from the house wwee.i had use of he private bathroom all night. I really enjoyed my night in the tent even with the big storm. You two are great people and I would stay with you again in a heart beat, however I would stay more than one night so I could enjoy a good camp fire. I am excited to see your add one. Thank you so much doe the great night and the cup of coffee this morning Tim and Lina. Hugs Tami Smith

  • We had a great stay in the bunny tent! The property was clean and beautiful. Tim and Lina chatted with us and even provided us with homemade peanut butter cookies. Amazing experience, just enough camping with the benefit of a clean shower!

  • Great place man. I was only in for a quick stay as I was passing through Albuquerque. This place is perfect for anyone wanting camp comfortably but also have a clean bathroom and shower. Lights in the tent are nice as well as a really comfy air mattress. Great place!

    Bryant2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is INCREDIBLE. Tim and Lina were unbelievably gracious and even provided us with an extra tent to use for my friend since it was not being rented out. Coffee made up every morning, allowed us to use their kitchen for whatever we needed, downstairs bathroom was always clean and stocked with fresh towels, tents were spotless with rugs and even electricity in ours! Their property is so picturesque, up on the mountains with all of the fresh air and trees you could ever want. I didn't have any trouble at all finding the place with google maps, just a long windy road up the side of the mountain. I am still stunned at the service we received for incredibly cheap it was. I will absolutely be back in the near future to see what else they have done to their beautiful property!

Experience a Tiny House, located our small farm. Standing on the porch you have a view to the west of the Sandia Mountains. Recliners with kitchen cabinets in front of you as you enter. A ladder is the access to the loft which is over the kitchen. It has a TV and DVD player but there is no internet and cell phone reception is not great. Everyone is welcome so long as you understand that to rent this place, one must be small enough to get in and strong enough to climb the ladder to get to bed.
Located 35+ miles from the Albuquerque's airport looking east. It is a" Tumbleweed" Tiny House and "Brand New" and not made for oversized people. The interior size of the Tiny House is only 6’7” wide by 17’0”, which includes the bathroom and it only measures 32" wide. The front door is 28” wide by 6’2” high and the bathroom door is only 22” wide by 6’1” tall. The kitchen has maple cabinetry w/ porcelain countertops, a stove w/ oven, sink w/ window in front of it and a refrigerator w/ a microwave on top. The bath has a 32" shower, toilet and corner sink. All bath linens and queen size bed sheets and blankets are included. It has a mini-split heating and cooling system to make comfort easy.
We live in the country with a coded gate entry, and the views are great and the noise is minimal, a few dogs barking, rosters crowing and school buses making their morning and afternoon routes. The Tiny House is located in the middle of trees we planted 20+ years ago so the main house is not in view.
  • Cute tiny house in the country just as advertised. Provided all necessary amenities plus more.

  • We had a great time staying at Michael and Lisa’s tiny home! The space had everything we needed! The kitchen was amazing and much better than I was expecting to have access to in a tiny home! We had a great time watching the sunrise from the front porch with our coffee in the morning. At Michaels suggestion made a trip up to the Sandia peak and it was truly breath taking. I would definitely recommend booking this Airbnb for a unique stay in ABQ. Thank you again Michael for your hospitality :)

    Sarah2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Where to start?! This experience exceeded my expectations by 1000%! Michael and Lisa were excellent hosts that made my tiny home experience an unforgettably memory that I will cherish. Michael was great at communicating before, during and after my stay. My vacation was focused around the International Balloon Fiesta and Michael gave great advice on what to wear for the weather, location on local grocery stores in the area since they live in the middle of Sandia Park and they offered to use their property as if it was your own. The view of the Sandia Mountains was gorgeous during the sunrise and sunset. At night, it feels like you apart of the milky way since there are soooo many stars to see! House was perfect size for one-two people. Had all stainless steal appliances, all the necessities and utensils are there and the bed was comfortable. It was all you needed to make your "glamping" adventure successful. I would recommend anyone and everyone to stay here!

Beautiful 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms property with great views of Sandia Mountain and close to numerous hiking trails, Sandia Peak Ski Area, Cibola National Forest, 15 minutes from Albuquerque and 45 minutes from Santa Fe along the Turquoise Trail where you will encounter the small artist town of Madrid is about 25 minutes away with shops and eateries and a pub. The property has wifi, king bed in master bedroom, queen bed in bedroom 2 and two twin beds in the 3rd bedroom, electric heating.
The home is located in Sandia Park, just 20 minutes to Albuquerque, with views of the Sandia Mountains. The property is 1/2 an acre and the whole house can accomodate 7 adults.
The Sandia Knolls in Sandia Mountain has a true feeling of community where neighbors look after and support each other. There's a feeling of rural living with the benefit of 25 minutes from downtown ABQ.
  • The winding roads were fun to navigate with enough day light, be mindful to use caution on these roads after dark as you make several turns. The area is east of the Sandia mountains ski area nearby just about 20 minutes outside of Albuquerque, and 50 minutes from Santa Fe. We had no probably finding a well-stocked grocer less than 5 miles down the road and a Shell gas station as you enter leading to a 2 mile paved sidewalk where you can park at the end of and walk as you drive towards the house. The set up of the house was ideal, plenty of space to accommodate a large group and make good use of the kitchen. Driveway fits 2-3 cars but do keep in mind you must enter and exit on a steep hill. Dotie was caring for the house during our stay, arrived with treats and was extremely kind. She and her husband helped us our first night when the heating system would not cooperate in the two back rooms. The house was the cleanest I’ve ever seen, comfy beds, ample seating and lighting. Direct TV was easy to use even for my grandfather and the master bedroom had the shower and bathroom attached which was convenient for him. Great experience away from the city, I only wish we could have stayed a few more nights.

My children just had a great time, we didn’t want to leave the house! Very welcoming people! They left us a wine and sweet bread! We just enjoyed everything second spent at Oscar’s place! I highly recommend it!

    Duncan2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for the perfect spot to spend a quiet getaway, look no further! This is wonderful little home tucked away that isn't too far away if you want to see some things but also perfectly located to make you feel like you have some peace and quiet. All of the small little touches that were added prior to our arrival were just great. My kids loved the little indoor snowball fight that was left for them and the bottle of wine was just what I needed to relax after a long drive in. The house is my dream retirement home and I loved everything about it. I will definitely be back to enjoy it during the summer!! The caretakers were also super helpful and friendly!!

  • This may be the nicest Airbnb we have stayed in. It is very roomy and comfortable! The kitchen is well-equipped and large. What a lovely area with hiking out the front door! On our last night other guests were renting a space at the back of the house (separate entrance) and we could hear their TV when we went to bed; this was the only drawback for this terrific home, and won’t prevent us from going back.

7 minutes away from Albuquerque. A one-of-kind A-frame tucked away in the beautiful Sandia Mountains.
    2560 square foot home.
In the middle of Cedar Crest NM while being close to Albuquerque. Two minutes away from the delicious Burger Boy and near backyard hiking up all the private trails in the Sandias.
  • The views are beautiful, the is extraordinarily clean and the host is very accommodating

  • GREAT location! Gorgeous views! Very close to a grocery store and gas station. We explored nearby Madrid for the day - so cute!

    Loren2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures do not do the house nor the area justice. It was jaw dropping incredible. House was immaculate. Very cool mid century modern / rustic natural elemental look throughout. Very well done. Not only was it stylish, it was comfortable. Our host was awesome. He allowed us to check in early due to our flight schedule and then gave us some good local green chile restaurant suggestions. The home was close to town and there was a grocery store two minutes away. Any questions I had were answered ASAP. The only thing I would say is to understand the environment- don’t leave food outside and watch the kids and dogs closely. Coming from MD, We don’t typically see bears. We didn’t see any during our stay but the area is known to have frequent visitors. This was a great escape for our family- everything we wanted and more. Would recommend this home to anyone.

This is a truly unique, one of a kind guest suite. It's a perfect stop for road trips and great for longer stays too! The 1940s building used to be Rt 66 Trading Post! Decorated with an eclectic mix of antiques, local photos and southwest accents with a fantastic location; The suite is just 5 minutes outside of Albuquerque, it has easy freeway access and is located at the base of the Sandia mountains for great views and easy access to hiking. Green cleaned, solar-powered and onsite host too!
Please note the unique layout. The bathroom is only accessible through the bedroom. This makes the guest suite great for couples, but not so great for larger groups. Also, there is a locked door and a shared wall between the guest suite and the side of the home that I live on. Access to onsite laundry room is available for a small $10 fee (detergent and dryer sheets provided). The main area of the guest suite is a large living area with a futon bed, full size couch, loveseat and dinning area with a breakfast bar (minifridge/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, electric tea kettle, dishes and utensils). The bedroom has a queen bed, nightstands and antique dresser The bathroom is accessible via the bedroom and has a large vanity, and a separate room with the tub/shower and toilet. Towels, body wash and shampoo/conditioner are provided. Air conditioning is via a window unit evaporative/ swamp cooler which does a great job of cooling things off. It is operational for the summer season from mid-may to October.
The house is located in the Monticello neighborhood within the community of Carnuel. This neighborhood is rural (but only 5 minutes from Albuquerque) and has many nice hiking trails.
  • Sweet place in the canyon!

  • My spouse and I had a wonderful stay. The Mountain View from every window is breath taking, and the space is cozy. Anika was very responsive and left a warm welcome for us, leaving the lights and heat on since we were coming in late. The guest book has helpful local tips for nearby hiking trails and restaurants, and the bed and furniture are comfortable. Easy commute just off the freeway and clear directions from Anika. Would recommend!

  • Place is amazing

    Deshonn2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • What a nice surprise - Anika's place! From outside it looks rather plain, but open the door and you find the comfiest little apartment. It is exactly the kind of space we love in an AirB&B - very tastily furnished, well stocked, not fussy or overdone. Easy, plentiful parking (if we had been pulling a trailer we could have pulled right through the driveway). It is just east of Albuquerque on Rt66. Rt66 runs parallel to I-40 so it was very convenient to stop in and then be on our way in the morning. Loved it!

  • Honestly my favorite AirBnb stay yet! Beautiful, clean, comfortable space, with a kind & responsive host, and a bunch of thoughtful touches and amenities. Thank you Anika!

  • The Route 66 Mountain Guest Suite is very clean and the bed is so comfortable. The suite was more than my daughter and I needed for just one night - I wish we could have stayed longer. Anika was very responsive to my last minute request and very hospitable. We used her recommendation of Roots Farm Cafe for a yummy breakfast. Have recommended The Route 66 Mountains Guest Suite to a friend for her future travels. It is as described and definitely an Airbnb 5 star!!!

My place features open floor plan, wood burning fireplaces, and nested in a private cul-de-sac. You'll love the vaulted ceilings the open, roomy, yet cozy master bed. You will appreciate the walking distance to brewery, restaurants, park, tennis courts, a short drive to popular trailheads, shopping, and highway.
With 2 bedrooms both with king size beds, extra sleeping space in the living room, and 2 bathrooms, a family of 5 will fit very comfortably. My place also offers a full kitchen and small patio that will make extended stay extra convenient.
Even though the neighborhood is close to the highway, it is very quiet and peaceful.
  • Nice place with great access to the interstate, restaurants, shopping and hiking trails.

Bottled water Ice Creamer Varieties of Tea The towels were soft and gorgeous. Thank you Bo! We had a blast! And we recommend El Patron restaurant! We had amazing enchiladas and went back the next morning for huevos rancheros! We highly recommend Bo’s place. Super quiet and we slept like babes.

  • Very nice townhouse. Convenient location, and we always felt safe. The beds were very comfortable, and the TV was easy to figure out! Even though you can hear the interstate from outside, it’s very quiet inside. The place was well stocked and clean. Tons of extra bedding and towels. Lots of little extras. It has a great private patio off the master bedroom. Bo is an excellent host, and I would definitely go there again!

  • Alicia's place is stylish and good even for a long stay. I visited Albuquerque for 4 weeks and stayed at her apartment for the entire time. The apartment includes everything that is needed and I found the location convenient, near grocery stores, gym, restaurants, and hiking trails.

    Stefan2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • My wife, two kids and two dogs really enjoyed the stay at Alicia's place. Alicia was very responsive and accommodating. The inside was clean and nicely decorated. It has a smart TV, and you can use your personal Netflix account to watch movies (note that there is no account for guests, so you have to use your own, which was fine with me). There was a plenty of parking space available with street lighting at night. There are many good places to eat within 5 min drive, and the grocery store (Albertson) is 5 min away as well. It's also close to the mountain and trails. We would definitely stay here again, if we ever come back to Albuquerque area.

    Daizo2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect quality and location! My family and I planned a new year's trip to Albuquerque - Santa Fe and found Alicia's place. This place contains a design essence that gives it a unique touch. In addition to being a comfortable, clean and perfect stay for a family of 4. Alicia is incredibly hospitable and communication with her was immediate and effective. We would definitely return!

  • You can expect to have all the amenities you want and need: kitchen, bath and house we’re well stocked for “living” (cook, freshen up, rest, and feel at home). We like to cook and the kitchen had all the essentials: cutting boards, knives, colander, pots/pans, and dishes. I’d advise to bring your own spices if you want more than salt and pepper. Bedding and towels were plush. The mattresses were firm (but we like firm), so can’t complain. Drive up to mountain was about 20 mins away and any shopping you needed was 5 mins or less away. It also felt like a safe neighborhood - people walking their dogs. Overall, it was a great stay.

  • Loving was an amazing host! Unfortunately Liz was away and we didn’t get to meet her this time but he was very warm and knowledgeable on the area and made you feel right at home. He was very kind and patient with my young son who followed him around almost immediately asking him a thousand questions as curious 9 year olds do lol, and gave my daughter a lot of insightful advice and talked about music and an array of topics she has an interest in. The home itself is beyond words gorgeous with thoughtful touches here and there, the shower was beyond relaxing which was what I needed after a long day of entertaining my two kids by running around ABQ doing lots of activities. The beds were super comfortable and we even had not only extra blankets but heaters in our breath taking rooms. The two pups were a hit with my kids and myself with their big personalities and sweet hearts. They were well behaved and loved playing with all of us. In the morning we were treated to a wonderful and delicious cup of homemade chai by lovins which really woke us all up and got us charged and ready for our trip back home. I could go on and on with so many more amazing things about this host and lovely home but the best way to find out is to go and stay for a night or two, when I get another chance to go to ABQ for another trip I will definitely stay with them again!

    Terry2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • I booked the Lovin's place for my parents and sister who were here for the Holidays and am glad I did! Their home was a model of cleanliness and incredibly well appointed. The bedrooms were spacious and quiet and the whole house is quite lovely. They have two sweet dogs who won my parent's and sister's affection in about two minutes. Liz and Lovins were excellent in responding to questions we had and are wonderful AirBnB hosts. Great location and better people!

We are in a quiet residential neighborhood in the Northeast Foothills of Albuquerque. We are 1.7 miles from I-40 & Rte 66. The Casita is behind our main house with private entrance to a gated yard and secure parking. We are close to the Sandia Mts, Open Space hiking trails. We are 20 min. by car from Nob Hill or Old Town, 25 min. from Balloon Fiesta Park, & 15 minutes from the Coronado Park and Ride for the Fiesta. 12 min. to Tijeras & Rte 14 "Turquoise Trail". Pool is not heated so is seasonal.
The Casita is approximate 500 square feet. The Casita has one bedroom with a new mattress full-size (NOT Queen) bed, a bureau and closet. The living area has a futon (folds out into a sleeper) and coffee table and dining table. It is ideal for 2 people and cozy for 3. There is a compact full bath and a fully equipped kitchen with small electric range, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. We supply coffee pods, tea, etc. There is NO television set. There are utensils and some cookware, if you need anything more just ask.
We are in the eastern foothills within Albuquerque. We are in a quiet mid-range residential neighborhood. Hiking and biking trails as well as the beautiful Embudo HIlls park are very nearby. Famous Sadie's New Mexican food restaurant is 2.5 miles away. Grocery stores, movie theaters and Hinkle Family Fun Center are all easily accessed via car or limited bus service ( bus stop is .3 miles from the Casita).
  • This was our third visit at the Casita and hopefully, not our last. We prefer to stay here because it’s immaculate, has amenities, private, great location and has off street secure parking. The other reason we prefer staying here is because of our hosts. This time when we arrived Johnathan (Rocket and Arlo too- the cats) immediately and cheerfully greeted us and helped us with our luggage (Johnathan helped with the luggage , Rocket and Arlo escorted us to the Casita.) And just like our previous visits, a pleasant stay!!

  • Our time at Sarah and Jonathan’s little vintage Casa was very comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. Their communication was prompt and friendly and we felt welcomed and cared about. The Casa itself was lovely with beautiful vintage touches everywhere. It was clean and well kept with helpful notes around to help you navigate your stay there. I would recommend them and will keep them in mind for any future stays. Thank you again S&J for a wonderful and hassle free bnb experience.

  • Sarah and Jonathan's place is one of a dozen Airbnb places we stopped at during our month long trip across the country . It is indeed the true standard of what a great Airbnb should be measured against. Thank you for letting us stay at hour guest house.

  • Jonathon and Sarah’s casita is exactly as described and more. I arrived Christmas Day. When I realized there was nowhere to get dinner after my flight they came to the rescue with homemade green chili stew, chips and salsa. I highly recommend thie casita to anyone looking for a little home away from home... with style and convenience!

  • This is an amazing find in Albuquerque! The host was quick to confirm and met me even though I arrived late. It’s behind their main house, close to the tram and the parking is to the side of the house behind a gate. The unit is clean and fully stocked. There was cream in the fridge, sweetners and coffee handy in the morning. Plenty of towels and extra bedding. I loved the bright colors and little touches of New Mexican flavor in the decor. The pool looked lovely, but I was only there for a short visit so didn’t get a chance to use it. I’d definitely stay again if I was in the area.

    Lara2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place was cute as a button and so well stocked in the kitchen you'll be amazed. Although I didn't get the chance to meet Sarah and Jonathan, their response was quick, they make is easy to check-in and the casita is quiet and comfortable with absolutely everything you'd need for your stay. I will be back for sure.

    Sue2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • This small casita is perfect for travelers who want the convenience of easy access to a variety of activities around the area, while providing a clean, safe small space for living. A seating area, galley kitchen, dining area, full bath and full bedroom with closet makes staying here much like home. There is gated parking and security lights come on after dusk. In the summer a pool is available. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, and provide all the information available for caring for the property. We would certainly stay here again in the future.

  • Great stay! Mei was a wonderful host: responded promptly and always insisted I tell her if I need anything. I was the only guest they had during my four days there, so I didn't have to share a bathroom, but it is a large bathroom and if you have my room, you would share the bathroom with only one other guest room. The bed was very comfortable and warm with a flat sheet, comforter, and quilt on top. It was also great to have a desk in the room because I had some writing I needed to do. Mei also has an adorable poodle/giant schnauzer mix who was super friendly which was a big bonus! My favorite part was the location: it was located within walking distance to Manzano Open Space which was a great place to watch a sunset, go exploring, and if you're me, try to climb some rocks. If I ever get to stay at Mei's place again, I certainly will.

    Helen2020-03-13T00:00:00Z

  • What a lovely space to stay in! Pictures don’t do it justice. Very clean, quiet and cozy. The views are beautiful, the fireplace a nice touch as is the jacuzzi tub. A peaceful and relaxing mountain home. Renee was very prompt in responding to my questions. Thank you for a great experience for my New Year’s getaway. I look forward to staying at Renee’s place again!

  • Beautiful retreat just outside of Albuquerque. Renee was an outstanding host, took time to assist with local recommendations and special touches (preparing the fireplace for a cold evening and really nice ambiance) Would return in a heart beat!!

Make our space your own! Open land for camping. We have 2 beautiful acres with large trees for shade. We are in an extremely safe area without crime. Located off of the turquoise trail and historic Route 66. Close to the expansive Cibola National Forest, 15 minutes to Sandia Peak Ski Area, 30 minutes from historic Madrid, 15-25 minutes to Albuquerque, one hour to Santa Fe. Great starting point for all of your outdoor adventures or nice stopover on your longer travels. Please feel free to inquire about additional accommodations.

  • Perfect stop at a great price! We just needed a quick overnight stop on our road trip and Stacia’s camping spot did the trick. Since it had been raining they let us pitch the tent on the basketball court which worked out well, and even provided an extra blanket due to the cold. Thanks!

  • We stayed here during the balloon fiesta. It was a great place to stay to get away from the hustle and bustle of Albuquerque. Albuquerque attractions were easy to access and we really enjoyed coming back and relaxing at a beautiful property. Rebecca was helpful and easy to contact.

  • Rebecca’s place is even better in person than in pictures! The space is very clean and very well decorated. The King size bed is super comfortable! She had some great finishing touches including water, snacks, toiletries, and everything you’d need for a relaxing bath in the jacuzzi! There aren’t many restaurants nearby so remember to bring some groceries or plan ahead otherwise! She saved us with the snacks our first night!

  • This place is such a gem!! Our host Rebecca has done a wonderful job creating a space where guests feel very special - the decor, thoughtful touches, and amenities are really beautiful! As some of the other reviews have said, don't let the shared space keep you away; we felt very private and set apart from the main living space.

    Leslie2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca’s brand of hospitality is so complete and easy going. My boyfriend wasn’t sure he was going to be comfortable at a home-style lodging option but he is now a big Fan! Sorry Marriott!

    Debbie2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca is a wonderful hostess and full of knowledge of the area if needed. Everything was tip top, beautiful and welcoming. Definitely recommend!!!

    Maresa2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca was thoughtful and easy to work with. Her home was clean, relaxing and very inviting. Grounds were very interesting and I really enjoyed looking around at all of the fine details.

    Rhonda2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca's home is really lovely. She has wonderful artwork inside and out and special touches everywhere! The property is lush and green, and the gardens are well maintained. (Rebecca said she really likes to garden and it shows!) The organic eggs were fabulous too. It's immaculately clean and Rebecca is a great host. She is friendly and happy to help with anything as well as a great conversationalist. It made my trip as single person so much more fun! I highly recommend Rebecca's place for anyone wanting a lovely, super-clean place that's close to restaurants and tourist attractions as well as away from the city. Fabulous, fabulous!!!

    Karen2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful AirBnb! We usually stay in AirBnbs that are stand alone (not shared space) but Rebecca's home has as much or as little privacy as you want. We loved it! The room is on the opposite side of the rest of the home and very quiet. There is a nice gated parking area very close to the room that has a private entrance and patio to enjoy coffee in the morning. The bathroom is outstanding with great towels and soaps. Rivaling an upscale hotel. In the morning we went into the common area and had coffee and sat in the peaceful backyard and chatted with Rebecca. If you are considering a stay but are on the fence about the shared space, don't let that stop you. You will thoroughly enjoy your stay! We will be back.
