Unlikely you will find anything like WALKERS RUN, only 90mins drive from Sydney! If you are over 22 (sorry,no children allowed except babies not yet crawling, for their safety due to elevated decks & cliffs). You will enjoy"W R",described as Rustic, Funky, Tranquil, with a “million dollar view".
Walkers Run features open plan living, wooden floors, ample floor to ceiling windows, spectacular views of bush-clad ranges with beautiful sunrises and sunsets,...AND only an hour and three quarters from Sydney. Situated on 30 acres of private property surrounded by native trees, Grass trees, expansive native bush and It's own bush walking track. Occasionally Kenny the Koala visits in the mating season, Kangaroos, Wallabies and Wombats graze regularly on the land. See King Parrots, Rosella's, Lyre birds, Goanna's and other native species. On those hot summers days cool off by floating around in the above ground, small but effective pool. There are 2 large decks providing outdoor dining, loungers, hanging chairs, 2 outside fire-places, (plus 2 indoor log burners) 4 burner gas bbq, (spit-roast, by request) outdoor speakers and outdoor mood lighting. Walkers Run grew from a classic “humpy" dwelling deep in the bush, to a larger “version". The original existing humpy is a cosy, carpeted lounge-room with a hand-made potbelly log-burner, reverse cycle air conditioning, a double sofa-bed and an extension dining table. Off this room is the smaller of the 2 decks, accessed through French doors to the bbq and outdoor dining table and chairs. A second bedroom is also accessed off the humpy. It has a comfy Queen size bed and unusually delightful décor. The bathroom is a mix of “Pink" vintage hand-basin, loo and original claw bath with overhead rain-shower. Towels are provided. A second toilet is located outside, in a "funky room" typical of Walkers Run. Plus an awesome shower, semi outdoors, spacious, glorious! Master-bedroom features a King-size bed handmade out of early settlers Post n Rail fencing and is “linked" with the main lounge room therefore sharing the awesome views, music, movies etc, however, can be screened off with a huge "block out" curtain if preferred. The main lounge has massive Bi-Fold glass doors onto the large main deck, floor to ceiling glass, timber venetian blinds, exposed timbers, slow combustion log burner, 65" Plasma TV, Bluetooth, Blu-ray, Foxtel, Home Theatre, vast selection of dvd's, air-con, ample seating including a second double sofa-bed, and lots of mood lighting. The kitchen is included in the open plan layout, with a stainless steel 5 Burner Gas Stove with oversize Electric Convection Oven, Teppanyaki, (only used for private functions) Dishwasher, Microwave, Food Processor, Juicer, Blender, Cake Mixer, Expressi Coffee Machine, Coffee Grinder, and Coffee Plunger. Guests have their own Fridge/Freezer (with ice on the ready). Third bedroom has a double bed and compact study with a selection of Board-games. Ample amount of parking on the property. Mobile phone reception is “patchy" unless your service provider is Optus or Virgin. Wifi on request. This is not unlimited, a guest prepay is available, 1gb $10, 4gbs for $30, or 7 gbs for $50. Sad but the best any provider can offer us in Bucketty ! There are 2 general stores and a great vege shop 20 kms BEFORE reaching Bucketty, both stores sell petrol. Private Road One is 1.25 kms of dirt road so we ask you take care, not exceeding 20 kms per hour, with respect to the road and your vehicle. for more photos follow us on Instagram. #walkersrunairbnb Or visit walkersrun.net
Soak up the peace and quiet and the amazing views. Located near the famous Hunter Valley Wineries so let Ruth arrange a Wine Tour for you, (maximum 7 people), door to door, tasting and dining without the worry of drink driving. And for the best price! CONCERTS IN THE HUNTER VALLEY: Transport can be arranged for a maximum of 7 guests, to and from the venue, during a stay at Walkers Run. Discuss cost with Ruth. For a "not too strenuous" stroll, Walkers Run has its own bush walking track and is also 2 mins drive from the Convict WalkingTrail on the Old Great North Road. Search "Convict Footprint". Once a booking is confirmed, Ruth will provide the links to several other places of interest within a 30 min drive of Walkers Run.
  • Ruth and Rob were sensational hosts. Warm and welcoming, super responsive and have created the most wonderful home, which they are proud to share. From the moment we made contact to leaving, we felt part of the family! The property is stunning, with personal touches and nostalgia leaving your senses delighted! The location, view and amenities (such as the pool, board games and fire pit) we so much more than we expected. The kitchen and cooking utensils were excellent and made cooking for 7 people easy. Waking up in the native bush to birds and wildlife was the perfect getaway from the city. We could have stayed for weeks! We also loved going to wineries, and distillery with Ruth in the Suburban! She really made our day with great chat, and more than willing to accomodate our choice of locations to stop at. Easily the best AirBnB stay I have been in by a long way! Thanks Ruth and Rob, we all loved our stay, and most of all my GF was super stoked for her bday surprise. She even shed a tear :) Can’t wait to come back again.

  • A truly unique property in a beautiful part of the world. A large group of us stayed at Walker's Run in mid Feb and had a great time. Ruth was a great host and provided us with everything we needed for an enjoyable experience. She was even kind enough to accomodate a few extra guests that turned up on the second day of our stay. I would recommend Walker's Run to anyone and wouldn't hesitate to book the property again!

  • This is a lovely place to stay and we enjoyed the peacefulness and Ruth’s hospitality. Amazing views and birdlife !

  • Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay! We had such a great time at your magical property! The air was beautifully clean and we felt completely rejuvenated after our stay. I wish we could have stayed for weeks looking out over the valley from the balcony without any sign of human built structures. Feeding large native birds was such a treat. The house it self is exquisite! So unique and full of character. We can’t wait to come back and visit again. Thank you for letting us bring our pooch Ziggy she loved the freedom to run and around and explore the bush safely away from our norm busy streets. We can’t recommend this accommodation highly enough. Ruth and Rob you’re both such lovely people and we felt we had all the privacy we could need. Thanks for inviting us into your home! Georgia

  • This place is where you want to go to get away from civilisation for a while. Just you, and the valley. Although there are neighbours, the way the place is laid out means you can go days without seeing any other people. The deck is sensational, looking out over the valley. Turn off the smart phones and just enjoy the wilderness. Great cooking facilities too.

  • Beautiful drive and stunning farm land into property. The property itself is very peaceful and the views from deck amazing. Very friendly people and the cottage is fully self contained. Great set up and very cozy. Would return in a heart beat.

    Codie2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • It's a great place to spend the weekend. Very tranquil, other than bit of occasional noise from the road below, but that didn't bothered us when we were inside the house. We took our dog Rolly and Sammy (owner's dog) was a great companion for him. Sammy was very friendly and became our guide during our bush walk. Ranch was great, nice horses and a good view of far hills. There is a servo 10mins drive from the ranch where we bought our snacks. House was clean and neat. It had all what we needed. Our two daughters (9 & 13 years) enjoyed the board games and videos. Would recommend anyone who likes to spend a night at a ranch, would go there once again.

  • Lovely quiet location, great to go out with the farmer on the morning feed run, everything exactly like the pictures and description. Would definitely stay again.

    Alina2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous little place in amongst a large farm of horses, amazing getaway. Jenny (host) & Richard (groundskeeper) were lovely and very friendly. Was amazing to be so close to so many beautiful horses. We also loved how close we were to treetop adventure park (short walking distance!), which had a solid 4 hours of treetop adventuring with short breaks, with achieveable courses for littler ones and challenging/daring courses for those a bit older. Overall, would highly recommend staying here, definitely a world away from the city hubbub!

    Baptiste2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny’s farm cottage is a true gem. This was my second visit and as always very peaceful stay with outstanding hospitality. Arrived with late notice however were greeted with a very clean cottage ready for us to call home for a couple of days. Highly recommended!!

  • Beautiful house and property! We had a lovely weekend escape with friends and our pups. Christine's house has everything you could need for long lunches and lazy afternoons on the porch. We can't wait to go back!

    Alexandra2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 2 nights at Cedar Tree Farm and we loved every minute of it. The home was so lovely, the kitchen was modern and had everything we needed. The beds were all super comfy and lovely linens. Bathroom also nice & modern with washer & dryer if you needed. The toilet is separate so better with multiple people. The living area was great, huge lounge and large dining table. The deck was where we lived on the day bed and outdoor dining table with the view out across the paddock and mountains. There were five ladies and we also brought our horses with us too. We just needed to bring our own additional fencing as the paddocks are exposed to the creek and some wombat holes so needed to keep them safe. We just sectioned off a smaller area in the main paddock, WiFI worked well so we could let our husbands know we had arrived safely. and post to social media :) Such as great property and would recommend to anyone.

    Marisa2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Christine's beautiful farmhouse! It’s clean and comfortable as described. Great views, very spacious and prefect for family with young children. Highly recommended !!

  • Cedar Tree Farm is a gorgeous property. The house is stunning yet comfortable and the views are beautiful and relaxing. While there's plenty to do in the area we love the place for its peacefulness. The loudest noises are the birds and that's just what we needed.

Want to escape from it all? Switch off for a weekend away? Disconnect from technology and surround yourself with nature and the local wildlife in The Cabin. Find yourself in a secluded wooden cabin, built from the local trees and hidden at the end of a valley. With a newly built bathroom and kitchen, a queen and double loft bedroom, the cabin is the perfect retreat. Remember to pack the marshmallows to roast on the outdoor fire pit!
The Cabin is a wood cabin hidden in the Australian bush. It's a place to disconnect, with no WiFi and intermittent Optus phone reception. With a verandah that gets the early morning sun - the perfect spot to perch up with a book and drink your morning tea or coffee. The kitchen is equipped with a stovetop, and outside the fire pit is the perfect spot for roasting marshmallows or, if you're feeling adventurous, cooking your dinner. Above the kitchen and living area is the loft bedroom with double bed. Downstairs is a new bedroom with queen size bed and the bathroom with an instant hot shower. The Cabin is hidden in the bush and all water is collected in tanks so we ask guests to please be conscious of waste.
The Great Northern Trading Post in Laguna, 10 minutes drive from The Cabin, is a great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They also have markets on the weekends. Wollombi is 20 minutes away with the famous Wollombi Tavern and it's even more famous Jungle Juice. There are a number of great wineries around Wollombi and both Broke and Pokolbin wine regions are about 40 minutes from the property so you can taste some of the best wines in Australia. The region is known for its Semillon and you'll also find excellent Shiraz, Verdelho, Chardonnay and Cabernet. Upon arrival you'll receive a list of great spots to go for food or wine.
  • Mick’s place was incredible. It was a true retreat- peaceful, calming, restorative! We loved getting off the grid and unplugging from technology. It was an incredible opportunity to switch off and spend time together! Plus we saw so many wombats, wallabies, swamp wallabies and other wildlife. To top it off when I got a flat tyre, Mick even came to my rescue and changed it for me! Can’t recommend this place highly enough!

  • Nick’s place was a perfect getaway from the city and so close to Sydney. Very quiet spot in the middle of the bush. Plenty of land for exploring and our dog loved the space, trees and running around. Great if you’re looking to disconnect.

    Hollie2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We loved spending a couple of days at Nick's. Beautifully peaceful place (we saw 2 koalas!) just a short drive from Sydney. Roger's hospitality was wonderful (as was the beer!) and there were some really thoughtful touches within the accom too. We are planning to be back!!

    Karin2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect getaway to relax. Private and peaceful setting. Was able to explore the nearby towns and scenery as suggested by Roger who lives on the property. We were lucky to get shown around the on site micro brewery. Beers were great and managed to squeeze in a game of pool there too. We had our dog and he loved the space to run around and explore. Exactly what we all needed. Looking forward to visiting again sometime in the future.

    David2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great little retreat and so close to Sydney too. We had a great time in the studio and loved the pool , fireplace and of course the brewery. Roger was great company too.

    Tony2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The living space is a relatively small studio, but the wonder of this place lies in the outdoor experiences!! We really enjoyed bushwalking, BBQing at sunset, swimming in the pool and enjoying the view. Great communication and thank you Roger for your hospitality. We loved the extra perks... The brewery/pool table and playing Pacman!

  • Nick’s place is really special. It’s a great studio, quite spacious, but the gem is outside. The amazing porch, with great views, pool, barbecue and amazing lights at night. you can heard many different birds and the night sky is beyond beautiful... peaceful, beautiful, relaxing. for sure we will return.

Knottapharm is a rural retreat set on 25 acres of temperate rainforest located at the far end of the beautiful Yarramalong valley. It consists of three pavilions constructed of hardwood connected via a covered external veranda. There is a 12.5 metre lap pool to take the sting out of hot summer days. In winter guests can remain cozy with the two internal fireplaces.
The property is 25 acres with the house surrounded by 2 acres of cleared land and the rest consisting of uncleared forest. Cedar Brush Creek runs through the property and makes for a lovely walk. If you are lucky you will get to see wallaby, wombats, lyre birds, platypus, deer and goannas. The property backs onto The Great Northern Walk providing a more challenging hike. There is paintball approx 20 mins drive away (to be booked by appointment) "The Springs" golf course at Mangrove Mountain is approximately 30 mins away. Central Coast Adventure Park is approximately 20 mins away. For mountain biking enthusiasts the Ourimbah Mountain Bike Trails are only a short 20 minute drive away. The closest shop is approximately 10 minutes drive at the Yarramalong village stocking limited supplies and petrol. If you require more substantial supplies Tuggerah Westfield is approx 35 mins by car.
  • Fantastic place! It was so quiet and peaceful. Leanne and Steven were fantastic host and so quick to reply. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

  • It’s difficult to sum up all the great things about this property but the best way to describe it is it’s worthy of six stars. Steve is the best AirBnB host I’ve ever stayed with. Helpful, accommodating and extremely responsive. The property is stunning. It’s private and peaceful but certainly robust enough for families to really enjoy. The pool is a definite highlight and the kitchen is a close second. It has everything you need to a self sufficient stay. The chickens are great to interact with and there’s lots of local fauna as well. Steve and Leanne have created a beautiful destination and we felt fortunate that they’ve opened it up for others to enjoy. We had a ball and are already planning a return visit. Would recommend to all.

  • A beautiful home and an incredible location, exceeded all expectations!

    Kim2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful bush retreat, perfect for a relaxing weekend away with family and friends. The layout of the three pavilions is great, plenty of space for everyone. We especially enjoyed sitting by the fire pit at night and gazing at the stars. Kitchen has everything you would want. Central lawn area is perfect for games with kids, and there's an enclosed veranda area that would be excellent for little ones. It was a little cool at this time of year for the pool but this would be amazing in summer! Hosts provided all the information we needed. We'd love of come back!

    Michaela2019-09-30T00:00:00Z

  • What a beautiful view! This place is on point on so many levels. Greetings from the cows, stunning views, a pool table and home theatre set up. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute at this Airbnb. We couldn’t get the oven to work, and the bunk beds (instead of queen/double beds) in every spare room was a tad inconvenient for a group of couples but the relaxing atmosphere, natural surrounds and entertainment set up far outweighed the tiny negatives. We would love to stay again!

  • Possum Cottage is located in a very beautiful setting, surrounded by trees and nature. It’s really gorgeous. The accommodation is cosy and comfortable. We visited during some of Australia’s most extreme weather conditions all in one week - extreme heat wave, storms and torrential, flooding rains, so Kim and her family had much to contend with on their property,... but she was at all times helpful to us and did everything possible to keep us comfortable under incredibly trying circumstances. We really appreciated this!

    Kelly2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Kim’s place was super comfortable and relaxing, located in the most beautiful area. The cottage was close enough to anything you wanted, but had the luxury of being in a secluded and quiet area.

  • Julie's cottage is in a country environment In a very pretty part of the central coast. The cottage is old, do not expect top conveniences, but that was the beauty of staying at Charlies' place. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need and has good air conditioning and more important good heating. We four friends had a lovely couple of days, would recommend to anyone who likes off the beaten track.

Sparkling clean with everything you need for a great weekend, including a bottle of wine, home made biscuits and jams and breakfast provisions. It’s new and fresh, I especially appreciated the complimentary refreshments upon arrival. It has everything you could possibly need for your stay. Michael and Rhonda were amazing hosts and easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend and look forward to our next stay.

  • We stayed at Rhonda's loft during one of the hottest days I've ever experienced. Once we got inside it was so cozy and comfortable that we ended up staying in for the rest of the afternoon. Rhonda and her husband were very welcoming and helpful. They even have a handy booklet with local information to help you plan your days. If you need a base for some bush walking or beach adventuring around the Central Coast, their loft is one of the most memorable Airbnb's I've stayed at and wouldn't hesitate to come stay here again.

Her home was spotless and she provided information for all our needs, with extra special touches of the welcome muffins and a well stocked fridge as well as everything you'd need for breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and fell in love with the countryside!

A complimentary muffins by Chef Lilly is incredible tasty and you can taste the love she pour into making those muffins for us :) Writing this review with fresh, crisp air and birds chirping in Tree House balcony it’s such a relaxing and refreshing, truely a pleasant stay. Not to mention the bonfire Glenn & Trina prepare for us making our last night in here so magical. Thank you for making our trip remarkable.

We have complimentary muffins, Stan on the TV and had a fireplace set up (with complimentary marshmellows) the 2 nights we stayed there. The fridge also had some cheese and a bottle of wine! • We had an excellent stay, so peaceful and relaxing, Paul was a great host, very helpful and accomodating. Absolutely beautiful scenery, clean and comfortable accomodation. 100% recommend a stay here.

  • Paul and his wife were great hosts, we had our puppy with us and they were happy for him to be off lead! The pictures do not do it justice! Such a lovely tranquil place.

    Jenn2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place is really good specially if you visit in summer. I couldn’t watch the night views because of the cloud but it is very dark at night and in the clear sky you could see lots of stars. It’s very peaceful location with lots of beautiful horses around and gives you the complete farm feeling. I would love to visit it again during the summer.

    Vivek2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a place! We absolutely loved every single second and were gutted to leave. It’s the type of place that could cater to so many different events, stays and preferences. I genuinely think it has something for everyone. Vast space and yet so quaint. The views will absolutely blow your mind! Vineyards, hills, dirt tracks, creeks and mix of animals. Even at night it’s idyllic and all the small touches such as fairy lights on the decking, make for a perfect evening/night to enjoy a bottle of wine. Paul was a fantastic host. Very friendly and full of tips. Definitely plan to go back and experience in autumn.

    Lisa2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Paul’s place was amazing. So happy we decided to stay here. It was charming, private and so unique. Absolutely loved it.

    Nicole2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Paul is such a warm and welcoming host! We were late on our arrival, almost close to 10pm. Yet he waited up for us to make sure that we arrive safely at his lovely clubhouse. Before that, he wrote to give us updated directions to the clubhouse as well by checking the instructions on Google Maps, which otherwise would have led us on a much longer journey that will take 1-2 hours more due to road closures as precaution from the recent bush fire as well as inaccuracies with Google Maps (haven't we all experienced that?). In addition, due to the recent bush fires, I have wrote to Paul before our booking to check on the weather conditions as we were worried that given the clubhouse doesn't have air-conditioning, it may be too hot to stay there. Paul assured us that should we have made the booking but conditions aren't conducive for stay, he'd gladly refund the the booking to us. I think that gives great assurance to anyone looking to stay at Paul's. Oh, from the pictures Paul has posted, you may think that there is no proper bed in the clubhouse. Do not worry, Paul has set up the sofa bed as a permanent bed. Only thing though is the mattress is a little springy but we adjusted pretty easily. Lastly, Paul's clubhouse is simply a lovely charming place to stay at. It is a really self-contained little house. As city folks, we really loved dining at the balcony/porch with the vineyards to the left and horses to the right. We also appreciated the reclinable chairs at the balcony, which we brought out during night time to admire the star-filled sky that you'll never see in the light-polluted city. Very very highly recommended! Thank you Paul for your warm hospitality. We would love to return to your clubhouse again should we come back to Hunter Valley in the future. Cheers!

    Lawrence2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was perfect!!!

    Helen2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Fernances Creek was a cozy and sparkling clean stay. The place was equipped with a full kitchen and the bathroom was very clean and modern. The pictures don’t really do this place justice! We loved the horses and dog on the farm and loved that Paul provided plenty of firewood for the place, adding to its coziness. Paul’s communication with us leading up to the stay as well as during the stay was great as well. Location wise, it was only a short drive to the town in Wollombi and wineries. The only couple of things to be mindful of is that the place has no reception (at all) - so you are completely disconnected during your stay. But this really did add to us being able to completely wind down. The other thing is that the additional beds were outside in a tent - however we used some foam mattresses that were in the place and was comfortable inside. I’m sure the tent would have been fine though, we just wanted the convenience of being together inside. Overall a really great stay!

  • Fabulous hidden countryside oasis far removed from anything and so peaceful. Highly recommend a weekend away at this magic place.

    Melissa2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • HOLY MOLY this place is incredible! It seriously has everything you could ever imagine! Our highlights: - Swimming in the pool - Late night cocktails in the spa - Versing our hosts in a game of pool - Playing darts - Relaxing in the most amazing and intelligent massage chair I have ever seen in my life! - Enjoying our freshly cooked breaky under the trees while listening to all the native birds - Having a little bush walk on the grounds of the property - Feeding the goats Next time we'll stay more than one night so we can enjoy the things we didn't have time for like the hammocks, day bed, tree swing etc The rooms are fresh and clean, the bathroom seemed brand new, the whole place just has such a homely feel to it. The thing that stood out to us most of all was the warmth of the hosts - they greeted us so beautifully, welcomed us into their home and made us feel like family. Their generosity and hospitality made our stay so memorable! We cannot wait to come back!

  • My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at this magical hide out. What a gorgeous location to glamp. We loved having the under cover area to snuggle up with the fire going. It was drizzling when we were there, which was actually perfect weather! Amanda the host was great- showed us what we needed to know- then left us to be. Private cabin with toilet and shower facilities available if required, but we were okay with the toilet provided. Would definitely come back!!

    Heather2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great views! Amanda was lovely, warm and welcoming. The stay was fantastic.

    Lachlan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda is an awesome host and her glamping site is truly magical. It's an easy <2 hours drive from Sydney. The view is awesome up in the look out and 5 mins walk down the hill, the cabin is comfortable, spacious and super clean.

    Shen2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda’s place is the best!!!! We will definitely go back🌈🌈

    Misaki2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing place to stay! Beautiful glamping experience with everything you need and more. The host was so helpful making sure we were very prepared for the stay.

    Alex2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • A really unique and lovely place to unplug, unwind and enjoy the beauty, peace and seclusion of the Australian bush. There are things to see and do in the area, but you'll just want to stay and the camp and enjoy every moment!

    Alison2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is truly glamping. Everything is well though out and comfortable and the only thing we had to decide was how much time to spend in the hammock or by the fire. An easy getaway from Sydney, with an amazing view and a few fun places to discover for lunch on the way to or from the site. Once we were at the camp site though - we didn't want to leave. And it even has a proper (indoor) bathroom to take a real shower - we could have stayed for ages! Amanda was a lovely host and walked us through everything and has thought of everything so it was a breeze and we could just relax. I can't wait to go back!

    Kaitlin2019-08-18T00:00:00Z

This quiet basic cottage is located on our farm. It's very relaxing and peaceful. The cottage is comfortable , clean, however it's nothing flash . Some would say rustic . It would be the perfect place to stay if you are visiting the central coast for work or need to break up your drive . Make yourself a cuppa and some toast in the morning if you desire.
As this cottage is rural it has very limited phone coverage and next to no internet . maybe the odd text message , however we cant guarantee that .It does not have a Television . The kitchen has a microwave and limited cooking utensils . Privacy , our family home is located on the farm as well , we have a lovely quiet lane you can go for walks along . Or if you feel like bush walking we are located on the forest . On the farm we have cattle , horses, cats , dogs , chickens and one alpaca.
This cottage is in a very remote quite location .

Welcome to Mollies Farm. Located just over an hour north of Sydney in the stunning Dooralong valley is our little slice of paradise. We have a lovely clean and modern self contained cottage for you to enjoy the peace and serenity of this beautiful valley. The space consists of a large bed/living room with plenty of space to relax and unwind with your own verandah looking out over the paddocks so you can watch the cows graze and the goats frolic and play.
There is a BBQ with a wok burner. And a convection cooktop. There are pots and pans, a Microwave as well as a slow-cooker/rice cooker. All utensils and condiments are also there to use... Let us know if there is anything specific you need :)
The Dooralong valley is a stunning fertile valley on the central coast of NSW. Historically it was avery productive for citrus famers, however more recent times has seen this change to more cattle farming and horse lovers. We get a lot of rain from time to time and the valley has been known to flood on occasion, please keep an eye on the weather is there is large rainfall forecast for the area
  • Make the time...sweet serenity offered by the best of hosts

  • Mollies Farm is a gem. The accommodation is perfect, it is impressively clean and has everything you need to be able to arrive and just relax. Sean and Elizabeth are wonderful hosts providing you the essentials for an indulgent breakfast including fresh farm eggs. The farm is green and flat and well enclosed that you can sit on the porch and watch the kids run around and play with the animals who love the attention, (especially the dogs). The pool is a wonderful addition and there is plenty to do locally with the kids if you want to explore. We have begun planning our next visit already.

COVID-19 procedures now in place for your farm stay. Our health and safety, the communities and our guests are always our number one priority. We are hyper hygiene alert and very cautious (as we were with the fires in November). Wash your hands and practice social distance. We will continue to monitor as weeks go by. Read our blog littlevalleyfarm com au and do not visit if you are feeling unwell. Read more about our farm stay below.
An off-grid alpaca farm with a 1950's train carriage - the famous Red Rattler train. Rustic farm stay 'glamping' style: Satisfying your craving for the outdoors and your penchant for a good meal, nice glass of wine, and a comfortable bed. Its nothing like a hotel, instead your room opens up to a beautiful landscape instead of a lobby. We live in a small beautiful secluded valley surrounded by bushland. Our paddocks are the local Wollaroo favourites with good grass all year round. We grow seasonal produce, especially in autumn, spring and summer. Our train deck is the perfect place to hang out and watch our alpacas, guinea fowl and chickens move about the farm totally surrounded by bushland and creek frontage. Your stay includes a session of feeding the alpacas where you can take some wonderful photos with them. Bedroom 1 - Rustic Red Rattler 1950's Train cabin: * Spacious bedroom with a comfortable queen bed. Plus inside the train there is: * Rustic (camp) kitchenette with 12-volt fridge and small gas hob, * Undercover BBQ, * Outdoor wood-fired pizza oven (book this in as we need 3 hours slow burn). * Waterless-composting toilet, * Glam bathroom with hot and cold shower facilities, * Outdoor bath with hot and cold water, * Lounge room with gas heater, * 'Hang-out' deck overlooking the alpaca paddocks. * Two outdoor comfy hammocks * Two Yoga mats * Kitchen has crockery, cutlery & BBQ utensils & fridge. * Linen and Towels provided. Bedroom 2 - The Tiny Shepherd's Hut Our tiny (3x2m) Shepherd's Hut ONLY has a double bed inside and is located by the creek. A short walk away (100m) from the train. It uses the kitchen and bathroom facilities located up at the train. We are an off-grid farm and the train is only 12-volt so you can charge your mobile or torch but it's not suitable for hairdryers or coffee machines. The entire farm is OFF-GRID which we love. The train is not insulated but there is a gas heater in the lounge area and lots of heavy doonas in the bedroom for winter - true 'glamping' style! Winter will be cold and summer can be hot inside and outside - so please be prepared for the elements as you would when camping. Our train facilities have been hand-built using recycled and upcycled materials. We rummaged around Sydney to find 100-year-old timbers from a house in Balmain, old mirrors from the inner-west, an old laundry tub from the central coast, claw bath from Gladesville, and old doors from dad's shed. We are a working farm so you will see us moving about the paddocks or working with the alpaca's. You can get involved in as little or a much as you like. Our farm is secluded and great for a digital-detox plus its a great escape from all the touristy-attractions. Due to our biosecurity and insurance policy all children must be over the age of 12 years old to stay and must be supervised at all times. (No exceptions for children under this age). Please take the time to read our T&C's, guest access and also our guest book has a couple of recommendations in the valley. View our website blog for things to do in the valley. Our aim is to operate in a way that minimizes our environmental footprint and we aim to leaves the natural environment in its original state if not better even after we are gone. So enjoy your glamping experience and take nothing but memories. Little Valley Farm has been featured on the ABC Newcastle and Hunter Coastal Lifestyle magazine and best of all, it's a unique 'glamping' experience in Wollombi Valley. ~~Plant a Tree for every visitor stay~~ We plant trees all the time, for food, for the garden and to replenish our future timber needs on our 50-acre farm. But we also want to plant a tree for every visitor stay, as a way to remember all the great people who have stayed with us and also to ensure that every single visit to our off-grid farm is carbon neutral. The tree we plant we will sequest approx 10x more carbon over Its lifetime than the average 2-day visit & and overnight stay. Helps us plant the tree and we’ll be proudly putting your name on it too. (Using Carbon Neutral Aust estimate of 15 trees to sequestered 1 ton per year. Carbon Footprint calculator for an average two day stay travel from Sydney in an average petrol car. There is of course high variability and extensive assumptions made in this rough figure. (Carbonfootprint.com, Carbonneutral.com.au)
Laguna is known as a sleepy village but we do have one very good pub and one Providore. Our local pub, GNTP - Great Northern Trading Post has an amazing weekend dinner plus brekkie, lunch and great coffee and it's only 4.5kms drive. Reservations are required for a busy Friday night dinner. See Raza at Laguna Village Providore which is also located at GNTP (note closed mid-week). Wollombi village is 10 mins away. Visit Noyce Brothers Wine for cellar door wine tasting with Julie in the Georgian sandstone building right in the heart of Wollombi Village. Check out their formal garden and giant chess set and take some amazing photos. Finchley Track for bushing walk and sightseeing is approx 25 mins drive If you are attending a Pokolbin concert or hot air ballooning - its approx 40 mins drive. For concerts, you can book in advance Rover Bus pick from GNTP. Contact the event organiser for more info. Wine Tours or transports book in 'advance' Melissa of Grape Experience Tours.
  • Wonderful experience. Amazing hosts, gorgeous Alpacas and a fantastic location. Loved everything

    Leeanne2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Daniela was a lovely host. Quick with communication and check in instructions were super easy. We loved feeding the friendly alpacas, Daniela was so knowledgeable. It was great to sit on the deck and just watch all the animals on the farm do their thing. It was a peaceful getaway, and very cool to see what the train carriage was turned into. The pizza oven was just amazing too! We wished we had more pizza. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us!

  • Beautiful get away. I'd stay again.

  • Our stay at little valley farm was absolute bliss. We would highly recommend it to everyone!! The train carriage is beautiful and the surrounds are gorgeous. The welcome we got from Daniela was great, she is a terrific host! We were able to meet and feed the alpacas which was an awesome experience. We will definitely be back!

    Liesbet2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A big thank you to Daniela for making our stay on her beautiful property so extra special. It was such an amazing experience for me to get up close with the alpacas and Daniela has so much knowledge which she shares with such great humour! Loved staying here. Waking up to the alpacas resting across the paddock below us felt really surreal for me as an alpaca lover who had never seen them up close before. The minute we both arrived we were already planning how we could come back ASAP for a longer stay. Thank you Daniela and Euan for your hospitality and hopefully we can come see you and the herd soon! :) - Caitlin & James

    Caitlin2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Daniela's place was so magical. We went there for 2 nights and sort of regretted not having booked for longer. Looking over the paddock and the alpacas roaming around from the deck was so much healing and enriching. No mobile reception did not matter a thing and we could appreciate how we are taking everything for granted in today's city living - from the essentials such as water and gas to more luxuries such as wifi. Thanks Daniela for sharing this invaluable experience with the world and we will share our photos and videos with you soon.

    Hanwol2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay here! The train carriage is great and the atmosphere is very peaceful, there are only the sounds of nature. Daniela let us help her feed the Alpacas, which was super fun. Thanks for having us guys :)

    Malin2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! Amazing and peacful place, with so many subtle touches that made our experience great, it surpassed our expectations. The train is amazing, the history behind it and the way it has been put together to create an unexpectedly amazing experience. The Alpacas were so friendly and beautiful, it was great to feed them and be up close and personal. I definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a peacful and unique experience.

  • Philip and Hung were absolutely fantastic host. Such a relaxing and beautiful place to unwind and getaway. We enjoyed seeing our greyhound have such a large space to roam and run around. He had a great time and so did we

  • Excellent stay, with very gracious hosts. Definitely the only spot I’ll choose to stay in this region.

    Jacob2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Phil and Hung are the most welcoming hosts I’ve had the pleasure of staying with. Their property is stunning, you feel like you’re staying at an exotic resort. The pictures do not do it justice. We will definitely be back soon.

  • INCREDIBLE place to stay!!! Pictures do not do this place justice. I spent a weekend away here with my partner, my mom and our little puppy. I and my partner, we both agreed this has been the best Airbnb experience we've ever had so far. Excellent amenities and Super host! We loved every single minute of it, from chilling in the pool, drinking around the BBQ bar, bush walking around or playing tennis. Phil and Hung were easy-going, attentive, and generous hosts. They made us feel at home instantly. We loved their breakfasts as well. Two smart and gentle dogs, Kiko and Cindi, took care of my puppy very well. Our stay was just perfect. We will be back!

    Lien2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Philip and Hung have a beautiful home. They were very warm and welcoming and we were told to act as if their home was ours. Our dog was able to run around their backyard with their friendly dogs keko and cindi and we didn’t have to worry at all. Our dog was welcomed inside and treated like one of their own. The outdoor area was beautiful and truly breathtaking photos just don’t to it justice and had plenty of room for activities. The pool was warm and clean and the spa was perfect for relaxing after a big day. We will absolutely be back again, thankyou Philip and Hung. There hospitality was wonderful and truly something that will absolutely bring me back.

  • Interesting place to stay lovely host

    Joe2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was short and sweet in the little heaven spot. Too short actually and we would have loved to stay longer. Philippe is a great host. A must do for people who want/need to reconnect with nature and how humans can live in harmony with it.

    Alexandre2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lexxie has created a warm and welcoming space that although it’s attached to the main house it’s very private and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and even though it was a chilly couple of nights Lexxie had the room heated which was great. The private bathroom was clean and had all required for a comfy stay. Breakfast with the family was equally warm and welcoming. Thanks Lexxie and Phillipe.

    Felicity2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended. Lexi and Philippe were so incredibly warm, welcoming and generous. We had the most wonderful and comfortable stay. The room, house and surroundings are really beautiful and relaxing. The only complaint is that we couldn't stay for longer than the long weekend - we didn't want to leave! We really hope to have the opportunity to return. Thank you so much again Lexi and Philippe.

  • A tranquil, lovely home in a picturesque valley. Despite being a quiet, rural property, it is only 10 minutes from the metropolitan area.

    Ninus2019-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely little farm stay. Tucked away in a STUNNING place between the Australian woodlands. We were welcomed by the music of bird songs and colorful flowerbeds along the driveway. Spotless clean room and bathroom. Amazing sweet hosts and the beautiful quite surroundings made it a warm and serene stay (opened even on Mother’s Day). We’d go back in a heartbeat.

Cottage 2 offers a large living and dining/kitchen area and loft style bedroom which can be configured for 4 singles and a roll away bed or 1 king and 2 single beds and a rollaway bed.
Kulnura is located 45 mins from Sydney's north shore on the NSW Central Coast but feels like a million miles from hectic city life. The area is renowned for its market gardens and orchards. It is fed by natural spring water recognised as one of the highest quality sources in the country. We are a short drive to historic Wollombi and the Hunter Valley. Local attractions include farmers markets, cafes, pubs, Restaurants (Saddles & The Springs), golf courses, cheese and chocolate artisans, Australian Reptile Park, Grace Springs Farm, Glenworth Valley horse riding, quad bike and Treetops zip line adventures as well as mountain biking and the great north walk. Somersby Falls is also a little known local attraction with amazing natural waterfalls if you are keen for a hike! Do a lot or very little but you are always welcome!
  • It’s hard not to feel at home straight away at Kulnura Cottages - even the dogs greet your car on arrival. Peter, Giselle and their whole family were very accommodating and went out of there way to ensure we had a great stay and welcome us onto the farm. Our kids had a ball running around the property, climbing trees, jumping on the trampoline and interacting with the animals. The pool got a decent workout too. The cottage has everything you need and it has a great outlook over the property and beyond. We took a few trips to nearby places during our stay with yarramalong valley and Wyong only a 10 and 25 minute drive away. Would highly recommend.

    Lee2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Just book it!! Peter and Giselle are wonderful host along with there family and all the animals. If you need to relax and spend quality time with you loved ones, just book it.

  • We could not stay as there were fires and road blocks.

    Lisa2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fabulous! Great for kids and adults. We will be back!

    Rebecca2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at this cosy cottage for a couple of nights and really enjoyed our time. We were greeted upon arrival by a couple of friendly dogs then showed around by Giselle. We found the cottage to have all the basic amenities, a small bathroom and decent sized (air-conditioned) bedroom upstairs. The living space downstairs is not air-conditioned but we just opened the windows for a breeze. We had a fun time checking out the farm animals and bees, picking oranges and playing games. A recommended stay for those looking for a quiet getaway!

    Danyal2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This property was lovely and super clean. They had awesome touches arriving to fresh orange juice, milk and their honey. I particularly enjoyed patting the dogs and horses. They accommodated our two cocker spaniels without any fuss and they were off leash during the day, on leash at night. Beautiful surrounds with pond, fire spot, BBQ and plenty of walks, cafes to explore in the area. Highly recommend for a city getaway. Would love to go again.

    Sarah2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • We took our 3 grandkids to Kulnura Cottage for a 2 night stay. We all loved the experience and the kids loved the company of Hunter and Paige.

    Suzanne2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended. Peter was so accommodating and allowed us to check out later than the 10am check-out time. It was a very short stay for us but we had the best family time, enjoying the country air, having the dogs and cats visiting us (if you’re an animal lover which our family is). Peter took us around and showed us the farm and explained the work that’s required; met the farm’s animals - cows, horses, chickens.. It was quiet and tranquil and it gave us time to connect as a family. Thank you Peter!

She gave us some welcome pastries, local tips and opportunities to experience the farm. The property is cozy and was perfect for 3 adults, 3 dogs and 1 baby. The host is very helpful and tried his best to assist us in every possible way. A bit of drive from Wineries but we wanted some alone family time away from the city so it was perfect for us ! Kids loved seeing ducks, horses and kangaroos in the morning. It is a beautifully designed, new solar cottage that is a must visit place

  • This place isn't just 10/10, it's 97/10. The valley is so peaceful and serene. The house itself is FRESH! It's got all the top quality supplies you could need. The duck family hanging out on the dam was nothing short of magical and the horses were majestic. It is kind of out of the way but that's what we were hoping for! Still close enough to necessities though. Paul drove up to show us around the place when we arrived and was super helpful with any issues we had over the weekend. Thanks again Paul!

    Damon2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was an amazing stay at the Iris Lodge Alpacas hosted by Sharon and Sean! We had a great time staying at the tiny house with our 2 year old toddler. Sharon and Sean was very friendly and let us wander around their farm to visit the alpacas, sheeps, cows and horses freely. Not only that, Sharon got us some fresh bread and milk for the stay as well so it made our life bit easier with the toddler in the morning! We also joined the breakfast with Alpacas the next morning and it was a overall great experience for our family. We highly recommend the stay and the breakfast with Alpacas.

    Olivia2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • The place is very cozy, especially with air-con. In the morning you can hear the sound from sheep. And there is a small swing just outside the room. My boyfriend and I stayed two nights and both of us would like to go for the second time. Sean and Sharon are very lovely people. They showed us the entire farm. Highly recommended for any one who likes animals. Good place for family with kids too.

Phil and Hung's hospitality is fantastic, with a delicious hot breakfast in the morning, and some fresh eggs from the chooks to take home! We stayed in Room 3, which is just lovely, and is one of the new rooms that has been done up since our last stay a year ago. • Phil and Hung’s place was so much more than we expected. The house itself is gorgeous and super clean. The surrounds are idyllic and the company second to none. These guys, (along with their beautiful dogs and goats), made us so comfortable and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed (and more). We will definitely be back with the family in tow for more laughs! 😊 Highly recommended!

  • Phil and Hung’s Airbnb exceeded all expectations. Incredibly well maintained property, great for a relaxing weekend away. We were greeted with mocktails and taken on a tour of their wonderful home and introduced to the beautiful and friendly four legged family members. Great spaces around the Airbnb; large kitchen, lounge room, modern bathroom, pool room, massage chair (this is a must to try!), outdoor pool and bar and rolling green hills and landscaped gardens surround by rainforest. We all played croquet in the afternoon and pool in the evening. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. I would highly recommend Phil and Hung as hosts at Amaroo.

  • One of the most beautiful homes I've been to. We had a really pleasant weekend with Phillip, Hung and the most friendly dogs you could ask for. Super quiet, comfy bedroom, great breakfast. Everything was perfect, they are very thoughtful on every detail. Can't recommend it enough :)
