  • Definitely one of my favorite stays! Johnny and Raisin are awesome and very welcoming. The camper was warm & cozy, and the mountain views are unbeatable. Can’t wait to come back and do some more exploring!

  • Johnny's place is a bit of heaven for outdoor lovers and people who are looking for a quiet retreat. Johnny was incredibly hospitable and made sure that I was well taken care of. Would recommend without hesitation.

  • Johnny was quick with communication and updated me regularly regarding weather and accommodations

    Tiffani2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The only complaint about this place is that we should have booked it for longer than two days because it more than exceeded our expectations. Excellent location with breath taking views. Johnny was an absolutely perfect host answering our questions and checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. After a full day of expiring and hiking the area it was such a relaxing place to come back to. Can’t wait for our next trip to this slice of paradise. If you are thinking about booking, I would urge you to book it, you sill not regret it.

  • What a great one bedroom unit. Very clean, many very nice touches and everything you need for a short or long term stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Theresa Ann’s place.

  • Clean, cute and comfortable space. There is a small creek behind the apartment and we saw deer in the church yard. Definitely hit up Fannie’s for breakfast.

    Dawn2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a real one-bedroom apartment, and though I only stayed a few nights I could see booking this for much longer if I had too. It's close to a supermarket so it was easy to go get and prep a frozen pizza instead of eating out. The setting is quiet and beautiful but still a couple minutes from the main thoroughfare. Note that the bedroom does not have windows—not a deal breaker for me, in fact I appreciated the extra quiet—but something to be aware of. There was instead a well marked EXIT door that I presume I would only use in an emergency. All in all, it was a great deal for the price, and a very comfortable stay.

  • So many thoughtful touches! Everything exceeded our expectations!

    Jake2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Such a light, airy space. Spacious one-bedroom apartment. Sparkling clean with smart decor and furnishings that look brand new and a full kitchen. The bed was super comfortable. I wasn't thrilled with the pillows, but I've yet to discover a pillow I like. Although the listing doesn't include smoke detector or hair dryer, both were present. In fact, each room had a smoke detector. The location was incredibly quiet and a great stop on the way to Breaks Interstate Park or, like us, after a visit to Burke's Garden and other Tazewell sights. We'd stay again in a heartbeat!

  • This was a very nice room with a very nice bed. We enjoyed having a tv with Netflix in the room as well. It felt like a hotel. Part of the whole reason we chose this room was the memory foam mattress, it did not disappoint, it’s a tempurpedic. We never saw James, it felt very private. I will say the walls are definitely thin, we could hear the neighbors one apt over. But that only even happened once and there is nothing the host could do about that.

This is a newly renovated space perfect for any season. It offers gas logs with a back up gas generator for snowy get aways. It is open concept and spacious. Our home passed an electrical safety inspection in December 2019. We are equipped with smoke and carbon dioxide alarms/detectors.

  • The Creekside Cottage is absolutely wonderful! It is such a cute, clean, and cozy space! We spent some time at the state park right down the road! I would highly recommend!

  • When I say Ken and Jodi's cabin was clean, I mean it. Positively spotless in every regard. Cute cabin, and much bigger inside than it looks from the outside. You'll have everything you need there, including a fireplace that puts out serious heat. Deer everywhere, and the sound of the creek to lull you to sleep. Highly recommended!

    Kevin2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • One of the most peaceful and welcoming airbnb's I've ever stayed at. Would definitely come back again.

    Tiffany2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Ken And Jodi's house. We had everything that we needed and the house was very clean and well maintained. It was a great value. It's located right next door to Hungry Mother State Park and allowed us easy access for hiking. I would definitely recommend the house to others.

    Brian2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Ken and Jodi provided everything we needed, when we asked for earlier access to the cabin we got a quick response and the go ahead to stop by. It was really generous of them to let us do that. For anyone worried about location or distance from Marion, the house is right outside the city limits sign (maybe a 7 minute drive) and sits beautifully nearby the park. There’s one neighbor we could see, but aside from a car passing we were completely alone. The house is next to a creak and it’s so nice to listen to. Nestled in between the woods, there was just about no-where else we’d have rather stayed. We made sure to take some photos while we were there haha The only thing I could say to look out for (if you’re not used to it) is the water. It seemed to be off of a well and had a bit of an odor. Again, not a problem, but if you’re really specific about your drinking water and aren’t used to that sort of thing - be sure to get some bottled water at the store or boil the tap water. There isn’t much else to add, it was a wonderful stay and the cabin provided the get away we were after while still being in short distance to the town. Coffee was available, so was WiFi which was comforting considering there was no cell reception with Verizon. The place was very clean and the bed incredibly comfortable. Thank you!

    Owen2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The little creek behind the house was beautiful and very relaxing. I especially loved the hammock chairs on the porch! The WiFi is slow but we were not there to be connected so it didn’t bother us.

    Amber2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Ken and Jodi’s place is a great place to stay when looking for a rural retreat. I loved the fireplace and the house was charming and cozy. A nice place to unwind and be in nature.

There is a small grocery store though. I loved it, there is a outside doggy dont be afraid he is super friendly. Highly recommend and will be back for any 4 day weekends I have in the future.

  • Thank you for being a wonderful host! We really appreciated your help finding the spot and all the sweet little touches were well noted. We were very grateful for the amenities like coffee, laundry and shower set ups. My only comment/concerns would be the bed making so much noise when we moved around-seems like maybe the mattress pad. My boyfriend complained about bumping his head twice so maybe wouldn’t hurt to give the tall ones a heads up ;)

Rustic cabin lodging located along the scenic Jewell Valley ATV & Multi-Use Family Trail in Buchanan County, VA.
  • The cabin was exactly as advertised. The room and bathroom were clean with plenty of supplies and linens. Buddy was very flexible with my arrival and departure. Affordable place to stay that was very pleasant with great hospitality! I would stay again if I'm ever in the area.

    Sydney2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • My hisband and I decided to take a trip back home for my family reuinion this past friday 8/3/18. Only planning on staying 2 nights encluding that night. Buddy was very quick to respond and beyond accommodating to my husband and I driving from Ga and not checking in till late. The cabin looks very plain jane on the website and it is BUT.... The beautiful peace and serenity that we were gifted by staying there was irreplaceable. Off the beaten path amongst some of the best ATV trails and off the grid.... But close enough to some great sights (Breaks Interstate Park) and town to male it comfortable and not too far of a drive back to civilization. And we cant wait to go back soon! The "bath house" was better than any I have encountered and looked more like my home bathroom than a cabin bath. Full enclosed stan up shower and tile floors. Buddy met us and had us follow him to the cabin when we checked in (2:30am) to ensure we had everything we needed. He gave us our privacy and made sure we knew how to contact him if we had any trouble (which we didnt not!) I could go on and on about this little peice of Appalachia heaven but encourage you to try it for yourself. Clean, professional with a hometown feel, peaceful and worth every mile. Great Value 5⭐

Our cabin is on Route 16 otherwise known as the Back of The Dragon, near Hungry Mother's State Park, a winery and some great family owned dining. You’ll love our cabin because of the quiet serene setting, the view, and the ability to completely relax. It located near many outdoor activities such as hiking and fishing. Disclosure to those operating motorcycles - the access road to the cabin is gravel. There is a flat spot at the bottom of the hill just below the cabin to park motorcycles.
This cabin rental comes with your own private picnic area, fire pit, and charcoal grill, microwave, mini fridge, and hot plate. There is also a second rental just below this rental available on Airbnb as well, "The Fox Den" is also rented thru Foxtail Orchards Cabins and Campgrounds, LLC. The cabin is around 300sq ft total
Enjoy the sounds and setting of living in the country.
  • As always, the cabin was a perfect get-away! Hostess is beyond accommodating and answers any questions/requests immediately!!

    Karin2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I had such a great couple of days here. The area is very quiet (aside from the occasional ‘moo’ from a cow) and peaceful and the view from the cabin is awesome! It’s mountains as far as the eye can see. We sat at the top of the property and watched the shadows from the clouds move across the mountains. It was breathtaking. Check-in was simple and the cabin was cozy and squeaky clean. It was also stocked with plenty of extra towels, blankets and pillows, which was a nice touch. The shower was actually a lot bigger than I thought it would be and the water was nice and steamy. Great place to stay if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle for a bit. Thank you for letting me enjoy this little slice of heaven for a few moments! Rest In Peace Brandon and from one veteran to another, thank you

  • Not difficult to get to. Don't be intimidated by the gravel road to the cabin. These are clean, very comfortable and wonderful quiet and cozy. The thoughtful touches for our military ( Brandon) was wonderful. I would strongly suggest this for a stay over.

  • Cabin is very peaceful, host is very pleasant to work with.

  • We enjoyed staying in the small cabin, always quiet and peaceful. The owners are always right their if you have any problems.

    Melissa2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts were amazing. The cabin and location were beyond our expectations. Loved the views. Be sure to visit Matties Amish General Store in Burke’s Garden (the location that is actually at her homestead, not the Burke Garden General Store). Also be sure to turn left out of the cabin drive way and venture up the mountain on BF Buchanan Hwy. If you have time, visit Hungry Mother State Park (bear territory!) Cannot wait to go back. Thank you so much. God bless!

This cabin rental comes with your own private picnic area, fire pit, mini bar and charcoal grill, microwave, mini fridge, and hot plate. There is also a second rental just about this rental available on Airbnb as well, "The Iron Horse" is also rented thru Foxtail Orchards Cabins and Campgrounds, LLC. The cabin is around 300sq ft total.
Enjoy the sounds and setting of living in the country.
  • It’s such a cute little space but we loved it!

  • Quaint little cabin in a beautiful area! Great getaway.

    Ariannah2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I traveled from Richmond, VA to celebrate our four year anniversary and it was so worth the drive. It was so cozy and we got to enjoy some snow. Check in was super easy and convenient, and the views were awesome. The cabin included anything extra we might need for our weekend stay. It was super clean and secluded, however a little further from activities we had read about. Super cozy and an awesome weekend getaway! Thanks to Foxtail Orchards for an awesome experience!

    Robert2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful cozy cabin. Very remote location, so great for staying in for a cuddly weekend. Activities outside are a bit of a drive, but the area is absolutely gorgeous. The driving alone was worth the trip! If you have the chance, make the drive from Tazewell to Hungry Mother State Park by the Dragons Backbone road, one of the greatest drives I have ever taken, and I’ve driven coast to coast.

Brand new cabin in a beautiful valley nestled in the Southwest VA mountains. Come relax in peace and quiet. The cabin is located in a beautiful spot on our working family farm facing the north side of Walker Mountain.
Take a break from life. Get away. Come relax in solitude or with your spouse. Reconnect with nature. Breathe in that fresh air. Observe wildlife and get a taste of life on the farm.
We are about a mile off of Hwy 16 (Back of the Dragon). About 10 miles from Hungry Mother State Park (hiking, fishing, beach, zip lining...). We’re 25 minutes from Marion where there is an adorable Main Street with shops and eateries. We are about 45 minutes from Abingdon (Barter Theatre, antique shopping, dining...).
  • The stay was absolutely perfect! If you want a quiet, secluded, comfortable stay this is the place for you! The fresh steaks are also a must, the kitchen has everything you need! Will be back for sure!

    Jonathan2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cabin in a beautiful location. Loved the hospitality. Definitely want to stay again

    Colleen2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I have used Air BnB for several years now. This was, by far, the best hospitality we have experienced. The cabin was perfect, the bed was amazingly comfortable, the kitchen had everything you need, and Amy was the best host we have ever had. We had a personal issue that delayed us and she was very understanding as well as helpful. The fresh meats and eggs are well worth it. It was the perfect anniversary weekend for us.

    Shelley2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Amy and Will have the perfect getaway to a quite place with an amazing view. The cabin is beautiful inside and out! The hot tub was a great relaxation to have while soaking up the view of the mountains. Would recommend to everyone! We will for sure be back!

    Reinee2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a perfect getaway. The cabin had everything we needed and more for a relaxing stay. I HIGHLY recommend booking if you like what you see because it's even better in person. We traveled from Baltimore and will be back!

    Jessica2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • What a treat! We just got back from our time at Amy and Will's cabin and we want to drive right back. Such a relaxing and peaceful time to spend with each other for New Year. The hot tub was an added plus! The nearest town is on the other side of a mountain...so if you aren't fans of driving on small winding roads, grab your groceries before you get there and plan to stay there! We will definitely be back.

    Taylor2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at the Rich Valley Cabin! All the little things that we didn't think about were there (ex. Grilling supplies, kitchen gagets). I highly recommend purchasing meat as well. The grass fed steaks were the best I have ever tasted! Amy was quick to respond to questions. There was no cell service or wifi at this cabin, so make sure you are willing to be off the grid durning your stay. The perfect retreat! Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer.

    Clara2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful location! Perfectly placed cabin was extremely clean and thoughtfully put together for guests. We’ll be back! Thanks Amy!

Overlooking the Clinch River is our special cabin on the farm. It is so peaceful that we have named it Journey. This facility is TOTALLY OFF THE GRID since it is located between the Clinch River and the N&W Railroad with no access to public utilities.
This Cabin offers one private bedroom with a queen size bed and an open loft that sleeps 8 with futon beds and bunk beds.
The 70 acre farm is located in Southwest Virginia. Journey Cabin is remotely isolated from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and due to this, internet usage is limited. However, we are 1.5 miles from a Super Walmart, Lowe's, and various shopping options. While visiting the Cabin and exploring the Farm, you can bask in the tranquility of the river and the scenery.
  • We had a wonderful weekend stay Journey Cabin. The beautiful setting and wonderful activities in a private and feels remote but so close to shopping and dink’s was absolutely perfect! Highly recommend this spacious and comfortable cabin!

  • 9 of my family members visited The Journey Cabin...Richard has an amazing place and the natural surroundings are just what we all needed to get away from the hustle! We will definitely be back for a longer visit!!

    Betsy2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • A truely magical place. We loved the tubing and butterflies and expansive deck and star watching and the kids LOVED the huge loft:)

    Meg2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • The home is completely solar power. Quite a novelty for most folks. The home was clean, comfortable and inspired relaxation. Hearing the river flow, and wading across the Clinch River during the heat of the day was refreshing. We didn’t walk any of the trails because we had small children with us. However I look forward to returning to hike some of the trails.

Private suite within a family home up the hill and through the woods from the picturesque campus of Emory & Henry College. Looks out over the highest peaks in Virginia -- Mount Rogers and White Top Mountain. Enjoy easy walking access to the college including Fred Selfe stadium. The trail passes through the campus golf courses -- both traditional and disc.
My husband and I live in the main part of the house with our kids, our sociable red heeler Cocoa, and our cat. Having enjoyed our many Airbnb travels, we've created this private suite to share our home with travelers looking to explore Southwest Virginia or visit Emory & Henry College. Our home is located less than a mile off I-81 down a gravel road. Guests will have access to two bedrooms with closets, bathroom with shower/tub, and a den with a bar, sink, mini fridge, and TV. Guests can enjoy the outdoor table and chairs on the deck.
We don't have any immediate neighbors, but the E&H campus is a short walk down the trail. Within a half mile walk from our house are the college book store, post office, and Macado's restaurant. Our home is surrounded by woods on three sides with mountain views from the front of the house. Easy access to I-81 makes our place very convenient to explore the area.
  • A true home away from home. A beautiful home and a wonderful family. Eric invited me upstairs for dinner, conversation, and male solidarity while his little girl had a sleepover with her friends. It turns out we had a lot of common interests. The whole stay was very pleasant and a great change of pace from traveling solo. I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat, if I find myself in the area.

    Alex2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Robin and Eric’s place was a cute, quiet and private. Super convenient to the E&H, Abingdon and Bristol. Easily accessible location right off of 81 but tucked away for privacy. Communication was quick and easy with Robin and Eric. Lots of extras supplied to make your stay comfortable.

    Jennifer2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, cozy, conveniently located home in a peaceful setting. Warm and helpful hospitality. Can’t ask for more. Would stay with them again.

    Jeff2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot and so very close to campus. We arrived later than we anticipated and the hosts were very gracious. Super comfy beds.

    Heather2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a lovely spot! Very easy to access and nestled next to Emory and Henry College. Enjoyed our chat with Eric upon arrival. On Eric and Robin’s recommendation, we had a lovely dinner at Macado’s on campus. Had a great night’s sleep, a cup of coffee (thoughtfully provided by our hosts) and a morning walk before we left. Perfect!

    Katie2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Robin and Eric's place was wonderful! It was cold out, and this was the perfect place to curl up and watch a movie and drink the tea and coffee provided for us by Robin and Eric. If you're looking for a super quiet getaway, please take note that this AirBnb is in the basement of their home, so you'll hear the family coming and going. My partner and I didn't mind one bit, but it may be something to keep in mind if you're looking for a super quiet space. But, if you're not deterred by a few footsteps upstairs, you won't be disappointed with your stay here!

    Hannah2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This place was clean and comfy! The family was nice and even asked how I liked the temperature when I slept, which was so thoughtful. Beautiful location.

  • Very nice place to stop in south west virginia. Comfortable beds and linen allowed us to sleep through the night along with it being in such a quiet area. The shower was nice. It was large and had really nice water pressure. The apartment itself had such cute little touches. The books and puzzles around the bedrooms had us entertained.

  • This is a special place in a beautiful park. The kitchen is awesome and very well stocked. We stayed for the Thanksgiving weekend and I was able to make my various side dishes without any problem. Big TV in the living room with Netflix, free movies, etc. Plenty to do outside and great to just sit and enjoy your surroundings.

  • my friends and I were so excited to walk into Rob and Chelsea's place and see how great it was! it looked just like the pictures, of course, but there is just an added home-y feel when you step in that can't be captured on camera. our favorite parts of our stay were the town (so safe and so sweet) and the kitchen! it is a shared space but we were the only ones staying in the building that night. if we had any questions Rob and Chelsea were always helpful and quick to respond, but they left such detailed instructions that we never felt lost. definitely stay in one of Rob and Chelsea's places if you're considering it! we're so happy we did.

Enjoy a relaxing stay on our alpaca farm, Long Neck Lair, overlooking the picturesque Appalachian Trail. We offer a comfortable private room in our home for business travel or vacation/getaway travel. We share opportunities for our guests to interact with and learn about our alpacas. Convenient location off of I 81 at exit 54 on Route 11 N between Marion, Virginia and Wytheville, Virginia.
First floor room in our home has a private entrance and private bathroom. In room amenities include comfortable queen sofa bed, television, mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer.
Long Neck Lair is in a rural setting, yet conveniently located to the towns of Marion, VA and Wytheville, VA. Marion is a ten minute drive away and is home to Hungry Mother State Park and Lincoln Theatre. Wytheville is a fifteen minute drive away and offers museums, entertainment, and history. Both towns have restaurants and shopping. There are two restaurants within walking distance of our farm.
  • We spent a wonderful week on Cyndie & Ken's alpaca farm. This quiet spot on the Appalachian Trail is perfect for anyone looking for a nice getaway. The towns of Marion and Rural Retreat are close by, and have lots of great local spots, in addition to plenty of hiking trails. The room and attached bathroom were very clean. Although the sofa bed did sound like a small put-off, the mattress was very comfortable. The alpacas are friendly, (no spitting!) and will come up to the fence if you approach. We hope to stay again in summertime when they get their wool sheared.

  • This is now the second time I have stayed here with my husband, toddler, and dog, and we all absolutely love it. It’s so peaceful, I’m such a beautiful setting, and Cynthia and her husband are so great to talk to. Would stay a third time!

  • The space was extremely clean and cozy. My wife and I stayed with our 2 sons and it was perfect. Extra linens were provided along with other extra little things like the necessities to make coffee, my wife appreciated very much. There was games there for the boys to play while we were in between activities and even a working fireplace. I highly recommend staying here to others and we would love to come again in the spring.

  • My wife and I and 2 teenage sons loved staying at Cassandra's cozy cabin in the Virginia highlands. Great place to unplug and enjoy some quality family time. There are many nearby outdoor opportunities not to miss including . . . A) an easy hike amid the wild ponies at Grayson Highlands state park where we took in 100 mile views in every direction and . . . B) a 20 mile bike ride on the Creeper Trail that we hear is a gentle down hill all the way. We plan to do this one on a return trip as well as bring our fishing rods to see if we can hook a few wild trout in the nearby rivers and streams.

    Adam2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great find!! We needed a last-minute, pet friendly, AND budget friendly place to stay while we spent the weekend hiking Grayson Highlands State Park. The house was clean, wifi worked great (which was necessary since there was no cell service), and within a reasonable distance of everywhere we wanted to check out. Also, the hot water never ran out in the shower, something I’m always looking out for when staying off the beaten path :)

    Yildiz2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place, it was very clean, beds were great, they even had shampoo, soap, lotion, extra toilet paper, snacks, water and more. Rick met us the day we arrived and gave us all kind of points of interest, information on all restaurants and best way to go home from there. It was beyond our expectations. We did have some local animals that met us when ever we would come back, which really made you feel like you were home.

    Robin2019-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • We were a group of 8 and the house was everything we needed and more! Quiet area and close to warrior trail head. We loved the inside decor with the farmhouse touches. Mrs. Mary went over and beyond with a few little extra touches with supplies/products we may have needed. Also loved getting little visits from the neighborhood pets.

    David2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Sylvia made our weekend feel like we were staying at a friend’s! Our travel itinerary was wonky but she met us in the driveway as soon as we got there. The cabin was a lovely, country escape and the space is used very efficiently. Watching the sunrise from the front porch was so peaceful! We slept soundly and felt safe. Sylvia is an understanding and gracious host. (The kids loved the snacks—like being at Gramma’s!) We would definitely return.

  • This cabin is very convenient if you are In Abingdon for the creeper trail. She had so many breakfast items, including juice, milk, large bowl of fresh fruit, multiple cereals, fresh bagels and muffins, snacks, iced tea, coffee, etc...Her campfire and smores are a nice bonus! The cabin itself is historic and charming, very comfortable and secluded. We were there to ride the Creeper Trail and celebrate an anniversary; we chose well and highly recommend the Blair Cabin!

Great getaway from the virus, very private!!! Come stay in the area known as "God's Thumbprint" and experience serenity living at its finest. PLEASE make sure you look at the location of The Cabin at Little Creek, located in Burkes Garden, VA. It is very unique and away from BUSY. The drive is beautiful across Rt. 623, a well maintained curvy mountain road. The cabin is 13 miles from Back of the Dragon. Our little bit of God’s Thumbprint! http://visittazewellcounty.org/burkes-garden-2/
This quaint cabin is an opportunity to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the real world and enjoy nature and each other! The cabin is very comfortable with all the conveniences of home. We have tried to make it like we would want it to be if we were coming for a quiet stay. It is a wonderful place to rest, relax and get to know your family again! You do have to travel across Burkes Garden Mountain, there are no gas stations or convenient stores, get all your groceries and essentials before coming into the Garden, that way you can enjoy your down time. The mountain road is a curvy drive and it takes about 30 minutes to get back to town. We are 13 miles from Back of Dragon. The Cabin is open! It is very private and you really have no contact with people unless you choose to. If you want to get away from your home and visit, we have taken every precaution to have it sanitized. It would be a wonderful break!
Burkes Garden is known to be some of the most fertile soil in Virginia, this thirteen mile loop is a welcoming farming community. Mattie's Place is an Amish General Store that provides fresh homemade bread, assorted baked goods and sandwiches. Mattie's Place also does bike rentals. The Appalachian Trail is located on the rim of Burkes Garden Mountain. There is access to the Trail within a short driving distance. There is wonderful bike riding located within a few minutes of the Cabin. Most Back of Dragon riders come through Burkes Garden!

  • If my grandmother had a cabin, it would look like this. Beautiful handmade quilts on the beds, a rustic feel with all the comforts of home, and a cozy atmosphere buried deep on a small farm in an extremely rural setting. The hosts live right up the driveway; not so close that they're on top of you, but close enough to be responsive to any needs you may have. Be sure to try the water. As strange as that sounds, we all agreed it was the best we could remember having. Time seems to stand still in God's thumbprint, and the cabin here is a great and inexpensive way to experience that. Highly recommended.

    Samuel2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • I love this place. Burke's garden is amazing. This cabin is amazing. The family is amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed my night here, I'll be back.

  • Beautiful cabin at the entrance of Burke’s Garden. Very cozy and comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay while visiting family.

    Kristin2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a calm, peaceful place to relax, this is it! Such a warm, cozy cottage with everything you need. Surrounded my woods and mountains, with a trio of pals grazing in the pasture, it's a wonderful place to unwind. Tamra's home is just up the drive so she's available if needed, but far enough away to give you privacy. We had a truck and trailer and there was plenty of room to park. Burke's Garden is a beautiful place to stay and I can't recommend Tamra's little cottage enough!
