Absolutely wonderful host and home. The most incredible space I have rented on air bnb hands down. The space was inspiring, Idyllic and private and was a highlight of our trip. Too perfect for words.

I thought my expectations might have been too high after reading so many glowing reviews, but the cob house was everything we hoped it would be and Alexis added so many beautiful and thoughtful touches to the already cozy, unique abode. Every time we needed anything (book, hammock, corkscrew, warm blanket) We found it there, yet the place was not cluttered or cramped at all. We enjoyed hiking around the island, eating at the bistro, cooking, lazing about, chatting with Alexis and the toddlers, feeding the chickens, and just being in such an active yet peaceful environment. I would recommend staying here at least a week, in order to catch the various shops and eateries on the days they are open- things tended to have more limited hours/days of operation than in bigger towns. My biggest regret was that the weather was too warm and sunny to warrant us using the wood.

The hosts made us feel very welcome, and the description provided was as described. The hosts provided a loaf of tasty homemade bread, butter, milk and eggs. They also had helpful suggestions regarding activities and sites to visit. We loved the island (Mayne) and its diversity (beautiful coastline, organic agriculture, pastures, woodlands, and forests) and the people could not have been more friendly. There is a fantastic farm store / interesting deli nearby the cob house. However, if someone wants to do a lot of shopping for non-essential touristy stuff, this is not the island to visit. Alexis and Manny were charming and emotionally open hosts with two four year old boys. These children are being raised in an environment of friendly free-range sheep, chickens, rabbits, pastures, apple trees etc. Alexis knits much of their clothing. I do not think life can get much better. The house has handcrafted charm and looks like a hobbit house, it is a bit unreal. I worked on a cob house in another country several years ago, but I have never stayed in one before. It was an experience that we will not forgot. We would encourage anyone with an open mind to stay in this home.

A great getaway for those looking to experience nature, peace and quiet. The ferry was surprisingly expensive and infrequent but was also a fun ride and a chance to see all the mountains.

Alexis was a great host. She made me feel comfortable, had a CLEAN and lovely place, and share some wonderful goodies. The cottage itself is mind-blowing; something out of a fairytale!! I loved it. My partner and I had an amazing time visiting Cob Cottage on Mayne. Its cozy atmosphere made me feel safe and cherished and I could have spent the whole visit just looking around at all its lovely little details. I felt transported to somewhere much more remote than the Gulf Islands!

Gary and Jen have nailed it with this place... simplicity at its finest. We spent the weekend curled up with books, drinking coffee and baileys on the upper deck, tromping around the trails in the nearby Hidden Grove, and sleeping like rocks in the awesome loft bedroom. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Great little cabin stocked with everything one needs. Hosts are both very friendly yet give guests lots of privacy. Would recommend this to anyone visiting the Sunshine Coast as long as you don't expect a lot of space.

We really enjoyed our stay at Gary and Jen's cabin. It was super comfy, clean, and well-organized to make good use of the space. It had lots of helpful things like spices in the kitchen, the bed was comfy, and it was super quiet at night. We would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Jen and Gary's cottage. They were both there to greet us when we arrived, suggested a few trails nearby to try, and were friendly. The cabin is perfect for two and has everything that you would need. Since there aren't a lot of restaurant options nearby, it was super handy to have an excellent kitchen with plenty of condiments and utensils. It also has a bbq was was great-we made fresh salmon on our second night. The place was comfortable and clean and everything was in working order. Features about the place that we love: -How tranquil the area is, our stay was relaxing and peaceful -The design and wooden interior of the cottage is warm and unique -The canoe is such a special treat-we used it twice on sunny mornings at the Sechelt inlet which is a 3 min walk away -The front porch on the second bedroom floor had a spectacular view and was perfect for watching sunsets on Overall, although we lucked out on beautiful weather in February, we would love to come back again in the summer and would highly recommend this place to anyone! We had a lovely stay at Gary & Jen's cabin! The cabin looked exactly like the photos and was very bright, open, clean and stocked with everything we needed. The location was great and within walking distance of a few local beaches and was easy to find from Sechelt. The upstairs patio had an incredible view of the ocean and the stars at night. Gary & Jen were very friendly and available for any questions we had. We will definitely be going back!

Small place but 2 bdrm 2 ba and excellent use of space (think Central Park South in New York City). Balcony is great. One of the highest views in the city. Parking in Vancouver is not fun. Plan to spend $20-25/day. Can't park overnight in the building. Take all host suggestions to improve your trip!

Clean place with a vey nice view and within short walking distance to lots of attractions and good restaurants; and Xiao and her boyfriend are very friendly and accommodating.

The hosts Xiao, her roommate and their dog are lovely. Their home is clean, quiet, nicely decorated, conveniently located and has a very comfortable bed. Xiao and her roommate are kind and genuinely shared concern when I told them my pet cat ran away right before I left for Vancouver. Thankfully my little guy has safely returned home. It was a relaxing place to come back to after a long day and I would definitely stay here again.

Xiao was not around to meet us when we arrived but they made arrangements with a friend to check us in. The apartment is well furnished and central located. Everything was clean, modern, and the kitchen was well-stocked with stuff for breakfast. The view from the apartment is amazing and you can really enjoy the sunset on a clear day which we did. Really recommend his place!

Words really can't describe how perfect this loft is. It's decorated amazingly, its got a "home-y" feel and the location is perfection. Some of the yummiest restaurants are just 4 min walks away. We loved our stay at Ana's. Although we live in Montreal, we wanted to stay somewhere to celebrate our anniversary. It felt like we were on vacation. It is such a beautifully curated apartment. This was a truly beautiful place to stay. It was right across the street from an adorable cat cafe! I loved the place and it was easy to get to where I wanted to go. Only thing to keep in mind is the parking is expensive and can be difficult to get! I wouldn't drive there again.

This is a great place to check out in an area of Montreal I would have otherwise overlooked. It's fun, lively and there are shops, bars, restaurants and other fun things to do just steps away. It's within walking distance of a couple Metro stations as well as bus stops on nearby St. Denis and Saint Laurent. If you don't feel like walking, there are also bike rental stations in the neighbourhood. The loft is beautifully decorated and equipped with all you'll need to have a great stay (including a washer and dryer, which I definitely used!). I didn't meet Charlotte in person but she communicated well via email and gave great directions on how to obtain the house key. Would definitely recommend her loft to someone interested in exploring this funky area of the city.

Such an amazing stay at Charlotte's apartment. I've been to Montreal a million times and this was my best experience to date. I loved the location, the apartment, EVERYTHING! I highly recommend and will hopefully stay again.

Location, location, location - highly recommended. The Boulevard Saint Laurent / Duluth neighborhood or Portuguese Quarter was the ideal location for our 5 night stay. Easy walking access throughout the Plateau and up Mont Royal, short bus or metro ride to Mile End, Jean Talon market or Old Montreal. Charlotte's loft is unique in that you feel part of the street art scene, with both the artwork within the studio apartment walls and the huge murals on the building walls throughout the Saint Laurent neighborhood. Tip: Create your own mural tour using your camera and a map of the annual mural festival.

Dany was an excellent host: he ensured we had all the information, checked-in that we arrived without difficulties, and made himself available without imposing on our privacy. By far the best Airbnb host I have stayed with to date. Thanks, Dany!

Loved this place! The street is so pretty and quiet. The area is great close to the metro, bars and restaurants around the corner and the plateau within a 10-15 min walk. We didn't use the roof terrace as we loved the balcony soo much! The apartment is great and the beds were very comfortable. It was lovely and clean and the shower was amazing! Will definitely want to stay here when I come back to Montreal. Dany is an amazingly helpful host! Would recommend 100%!

The apartment matches the description quite well. It is in a very nice part of the city, with great shopping and an array of great places to eat within an easy walk. The washer and dryer are full size and worked well. There is a nice claw-footed bathtub, though taking a shower in it is a bit of a trick. With a foot or more of snow on the ground, we weren't able to enjoy rooftop deck!

Our stay with Dany was just about perfect! He was immediately available with any concerns or questions. It was our first real experience with Airbnb and he made sure it was a great one: he was very attentive. The location is just about as perfect for Montreal as anyone could ask for (I know Montreal and the Plateau well, and even I was surprised at how fantastic it was!). Close (think under 5 minutes) to every amenity you can think of. The apartment has EVERYTHING that you might think of for your stay. The only concern we had was smoke smell in the bathroom from the downstairs tenants, but by all accounts they'll be gone imminently and even this little problem will be resolved. Highly recommend this place!

My friend and I had a delightful stay at Jose's studio. It's a charming space and a great neighborhood. Super clean apartment, lovely comfy bed, and nice bathroom. Jose checked in via air bnb messaging to see how we were getting along and quickly responded to all questions and a last minute phone charger recovery mission. Highly recommend.

Best place to stay in Toronto. It's on airbnb as a room with it feels very private. A lot of good restaurants and bar and the same street and easy access to downtown using the street car that is just a few steps outside the door. We stayed at Jose's apartment for six days and we really liked the neighborhood and the place. The kitchenette is enough so you can easily make breakfast and we really appreciated that Jose had prepared the kitchen with basic stuff such as müsli and spices. It's quite noisy from the street and we had two cute pigeons on the windowsill that were quite noisy as well. But its a beautiful apartment located in a lovely city! Many thanks Jose!

Jose was a great host! He was accommodating and responded immediately when I needed something. The neighbourhood was great and I felt very safe there, even traveling alone. The French coffee press and coffee was greatly appreciated too! I highly recommend staying at Jose's studio.

This was such a beautiful place to stay it looked exactly like the pictures! The bed was very comfortable and clean. Marie was such a nice and accommodating host, she gave us a list of all the cheap parking spots in the area and was very flexible with check out time. She even offered to help carry ours bags! Was also within a 10 minute walk to both distillery district and Saint Lawrence markets. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Marie was a great host! She was helpful, friendly and easy to communicate with. It was our first Airbnb experience and we'd try it again! We drove to the city and access to an underground public parking lot was really close and easy. The place was clean, fun and full of Marie's style. My girlfriend and I came to Toronto for a couple days. I had a plan to propose to her down at a location special to us in the city but when that plan failed in spectacular fashion, I had to propose in this lovely little loft. She said yes! Marie even had some champagne glasses on the shelf for the occasion! Great place to stay. We won't forget it!

I loved every minute of it. What a gorgeous condo with an amazing view of the modern Toronto skyline! I had no trouble getting keys to enter the building. I was welcomed instantly & felt very much like home (minus my dogs). The room was cozy & secure with central AC. It was secure/modern as an upscale hotel but a feeling of home. This was my first AirBnB. I'm so happy I used the site. The experience was far greater than I expected.

Tara is awesome! Although I did not have the privilege of meeting her she was sooo helpful all the way through and made my stay very comfortable. She helped me get a visitors pass to park, got the key easily, all in all, everything was fabulous. Elaine and Greg made me feel very welcome into their home. I was welcomed with a mug of tea and an assortment of cookies. The house and my room were very pristine and well kept, exactly as portrayed in the pictures. I was even provided for towels, a robe, and supplies ranging from toothbrush and body wash to tissues and oatmeal. My hosts were patient with me, advising and guiding me on things to do around the city. They celebrated with me on the success of my exams. The listing description was accurate but it was not clear that we shared a bathroom with the host (this did not create a problem). The building is truly '70's and there exterior and interior hallways appear not to have been updated since the 70's. Patricia's apartment was nicely decorated and well maintained. The building electrical was dated. Patricia was an excellent host.

Patricia is a very welcoming host, and so is the sweet sweet gibbard! The apartment is lovely decorated as in the pictures and not too far from downtown!

I found Patria's apartment at the top of the listing with great reviews and was not disappointed. Her apartment is perfectly located in a trendy and central part of the city. It is easy to find with loads of public transport links. Her apartment itself is clean and tidy and perfectly set up with everything you need and the bed is super comfy! There are some great bars and coffee shops on the doorstep, head down to Mr Brownstone and chat to some locals at the bar and you won't go wrong. This was my first trip to Canada and from the get go Patricia was amazingly friendly, helpful and responsive with my booking, she also makes a mean cuppa tea! If it's your first time to Vancouver or your stopping for a night or even a week or two I would really recommend staying here, if for nothing else you have to meet Gibbard!

We had a great stay at Patricia's place. It's perfectly located near Main St. close to plenty of cafes and restaurants, and easy access to transit. Her place is immaculate, calm and quiet. Her cat, Gibby, was very friendly and kept us company.

Patricia was our first ever Airbnb host, we could not of asked for a more friendly, caring and comfortable home and host. The apartment was a joy to stay in clean, tidy and very cosy! Its is ideally located and the perfect place from which to explore Vancouver. Main street is a great place to stay lots of places to eat, vintage shops, craft stores and lots of bars. We met some really nice people visiting all the local stores. The nicest part of our trip to vancouver was meeting Patricia, sharing stories over dinner and getting to know her. Not only have we discovered a great place to base ourselves in vancouver but hopefully found a new friend! We enjoyed it so much that we'll be returning in a few weeks! Cant wait!

The loft was a cozy alley style space. Kate and Michael explained the t.v., set up WiFi, and even left some croissants, bagels, and fruit for the morning. The kitchen was the part I enjoyed the most because it was ideal for entertaining with it's large island, I wished I had a reason to stay longer so that I could cook up a meal or two on the gas burners (if you guys ever host a potluck, include me!). After all the entertaining, the living room was perfect to relax in with a comfortable couch in front of a big screen t.v. Lastly, the bed was incredibly comfortable -I don't even know how I got up so early. Definitely a great area to be located and I look forward to staying here again soon.

We had an amazing time at this rental. Exactly as described online. Everything was thought of including every kitchen appliance you might need on a getaway, basic cooking needs, and even a couple of beers in the fridge. The bathroom also provided toiletries and even a hair straightener which was above and beyond what we would expect for amenities. Apple TV was nice to have and everything was comfortable for the times we wanted to just relax. The neighbourhood has tons of restaurants and shops within minutes, but with lots of trees and a small community feel. We had a great stay and would highly recommend this rental.

I used the space for a photo shoot, and for this reason the photos on the listing were very important to me. I'm happy to report they do a great job of depicting the space. It's very clean and receives a good amount of natural light. As a local, I can say this unit is great for travellers looking for a quiet neighbourhood. However, it's also within walking distance of three major streets in the city, so public transportation is easily accessible. There are many delis, cafes, and restaurants found within the nearby Roncesvalles Village. High Park, Queen West, and Liberty Village are also easily accessible from this location.

We had a wonderful experience at Kate's apartment. The apartment was spotless and had all of the amenities one could need for a weekend away. The location was fantastic - we walked around the neighborhood and grabbed an Uber if we wanted to go farther out. There were tons of places to eat, drink, and shop all nearby. Kate and Mike were great hosts as well - they had recommendations for us, we easy to contact, and even left us a nice cold local brew in the fridge for us to enjoy upon arrival. Great stay!

Upon arrival all our communication where very quick and smooth, i got to the place at the chek in hour (3pm), and i was welcome very warmly , the person in charge explained to me how everything worked and he even got me a parking permit for my car right away because you cant park in the street after midnight unless you get the permit. The loft was very very clean and in order, exactly like in the picture, the neighbourhood was lovely very quiet with a coffee shop right in the corner, i would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to spend some quiet time ! Netflix and a very comfy couch! The bed and blankets feels like heaven too !!! Downtown is 10 mins away , the location was just perfect. ill be booking anytime again when im in toronto! A beautiful flat, right in the heart of Old Montreal. The lay out of the flat is stunning, very tastefully decorated. Restaurants galore. Parking is only one minute away. Looking forward to our next visit.

We had a wonderful stay. Beautiful space in a perfect location and was very warm inside despite the big beautiful windows and cold weather. Would definitely come back again.

The loft is in a perfect location - close to a variety of restaurants and only a block from Notre Dame Bascillica. We walked everywhere. The loft is just as pictured and very comfortable. We loved it and Montreal.

Francois did a great job communicating with us and got us all set up in his wonderful loft with ease. Easy walking from here through Old Montreal and Chinatown. A little more of a hike lands you in the awesome restaurants of the Mile End neighborhood. We had a great stay in this beautiful loft and would most certainly stay here again!

Great location! Walking distance to everything. There was a lot of constructions in the surroundings, but Francois' loft was comfortable, soundproof, and very quiet. I would go back anytime!

Saying in Paige's well organized flat was amazing, she has managed to fit everything anyone would need in a compact space without feeling overcrowed! Amanda was so kind to allow us to store our luggage both times while she cleaned the apartment so we could get on with our day. Lovely neighbourhood with access to all parts of Montreal within a short time by foot or by city bikes, especially McGill campus! I will definitely stay here again! Thanks Paige and Amanda!

Paige was a great host, and the place was lovely. Bright, airy and clean. The fan from the restaurant would only bother very light sleepers. My partner is a very light sleeper and it didn't rouse her.

We had a great time staying in this apartment in Montreal. The location was perfect, close to great bars and restaurants. The apartment was lovely and looked just like the photos. Paige was very helpful and easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Montreal.

We loved to stay at Paige's apartment. She is an amazing host! She has been available every time we asked her something. Apartment is charming, exactly as pictures present it. And very well located. Walking or bike distance to every Montreal interesting spot.

Paige's place is so cute and cozyyyyy!!! Paige made sure we had every thing we needed making our stay perfect. The apartment Is walking distance to McGill university and literally a 5 min ride to Montreals nightlife. Definitely will book Paige's place again !!

We really enjoyed our brief stay here. Super cute and cozy- it was warm inside when we checked in, which was appreciated since it was so chilly that day! Check in and check out were super easy, and the first place was very very clean. Also very close to a really cute street, which we enjoyed. We recommend Marcello’s on Commercial- delicious, cozy, and friendly staff. We would definitely love to stay here again!

The gardensuite from jen and sandy was great as described! They were very communicative and the place was exactly as expected!during our stay they where available for any questions. Access to laundry was also great!we had so much fun to drive with our rental bikes to the citycenter!

Sandy and Jen's place was perfect. The suite was clean and the bed was comfortable. They had ample amount of kitchenware for us to cook a nice meal. The location is great. Just a few minutes walk to Commercial Drive, and the pizzeria beside their place was a convenient surprise. Definitely recommend their suite.

My in-laws stayed in Sandy and Jen's place for a week over Christmas. This was their second stay here. They love the location and the set up of the unit is perfect for their needs. Jen was quick to respond when I had a query. I would recommend staying here and my in-laws would stay here again.

A great basement flat that looks out onto the garden. Situated in a friendly and vibrant area just a short walk from commercial drive and public transport. The flat has everything you need for a long or short stay. Sandy and Jen are great hosts and I would happily stay there again.

My family & I loved our stay at Sandy and Jen's Garden Suite! Everything was so cozy and clean. Sandy and Jen were super responsive and helpful with any questions we had. The location is stellar - it felt pretty close to everything we wanted to go to. All in all, I would highly recommend staying here!

hi Jen and Sandy, we really enjoyed staying in your gardensuite for our holiday.. eventho there was no snow in the mountains closeby ;-) we really took the time to explore the city and Vancouver Island. We really felt at home in the clean and cozy Suite. Shower was great, good presure and always hot water ;-) All kitchen equiptement is working, there is even a juicer! Its great that the gardensuite has his own entrance. Walk down 2 streets to do the Organic grocery shopping on 'The Drive' and cook your own meal or just wander around for so many choices of Restaurants! Its all there..! in short, a great spot! thanks, tessa & Rob

Sandy was very helpful, friendly and responsive. Her place is in a hip neighborhood with walking access to numerous restaurants, parks, shops, etc. The place was clean and comfortable, and had good wifi access. The bed was good. Excellent reading material by the bedside! Although a fan was provided, we were a bit hot at night. I think it was especially warm for Vancouver the week that we were there and this is likely not a problem at most times of year. A couple of the lights didn't seem to work. There was no TP on our arrival, though this was remedied as soon as we let Sandy know. There was quite a bit of sound from upstairs -- possibly their large dog walking around? We didn't complain, so this might have been addressed if we had. Overall, we felt welcome and safe. The location is prime, especially for folks interested in dining out and night life in a quirky, vivid locale.

Eric was an AWESOME host and the place was fantastic; I will definitely go back. It's exactly as pictured and only wish I could have stayed longer!

Eric's unit was great. Easy to find, close to the major streets for a shopping, eating and people watching; parks are close by if you have kids. The upper deck is great for catching some sunshine or eating outside. Kitchen was fully equipped. The unit was very clean upon arrival and is nicely decorated as shown in the picture. I would stay here again.

The apartement was really nice, well decorated and very convenient. It's not far from the city by car (can't tell about public transportation because we didn't use it), and in a very peaceful and nice neigbourhood. The outdoor "oasis" is nice ! Despite some troubles we had at first, Eric has managed to fix them up quickly and thus made our trip a great one. He is a great, and really nice host. I do recommend this flat and the host for a wonderful stay in Toronto :) Thank your for everything Eric, and I hope we would come back to Toronto and your place !!

Eric’s apartment was spectacular! The space is gorgeous; it has a full kitchen with everything you need. The bedrooms were very stylish, everything was fresh and comfortable; I had an awesome sleep. The bathroom was spotless- loved the shower. Overall, the apartment was very clean and modern. The best part was the living area upstairs – a really spacious loft where the sun just beams in all day. The back deck was the perfect spot for morning coffee in the sunshine:) Truly, a wonderful stay. Thanks Eric – I will definitely be back!

My friend and I came down for Carabana with intentions on staying at a completely different location which turned out horrible! I booked This loft the same day we needed to check in and thankfully it was still available. Felt like home. Everywhere we needed to go was no more than a 20 minute drive away or walking distance so the location was great for us. Although I booked last minute, Eric communicated well with us as it related to everything we needed. We enjoyed ourselves. Thank you.

Eric's house was a perfect place to stay in Toronto. Spacious two bedroom apt on a beautiful, quiet street. The upstairs has beautiful light throughout the day with double doors leading to outside area with bbq. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking and preparing meals. The heated floor in the bathroom was a bonus. Parking spot in the back which was very helpful for those who have a car. Eric was easy to get in touch with if you needed anything. I would highly recommend staying at Eric's for anyone visiting Toronto.
