“The Parc du Cinquantenaire or Jubelpark is not only a park but a national landmark in Brussels. The name means 'Park of the fiftieth anniversary' and it was built during the reign of Leopold II to commemorate fifty years of Belgian independence. Symbolically, the Cinquantenaire Park in Brussels is built in the shape of a pentagon, like the inner and outer rings of the city. Cinquantenaire sits just outside the inner circle, and is close to the European Quarter.”

“And an art nouveau masterpiece that is home to the Musical Instrument Museum of Brussels (MIM). Rue Montagne de la Cour 2, 1000 BruxellesThis museum is totally worth a visit and one of the top things to do in Brussels for music lovers . On display here are truly unique instruments that are exquisite pieces of art in their own right (my faves are the ornately decorated pianos that are adorned with beautiful etchings and paintings of all kinds). Here you can explore more than 2,000 instruments, but the best you can also listen to them! After that you may feel a little hungry. A problem that is easy to fix since the MIM restaurant is located on the tenth floor of the building. Tip: The restaurant is accessible free! From this restaurant you have a breathtaking view of Brussels. Unfortunately, it is often overcrowded - but if you are lucky you can enjoy a delicious Sunday, brunch buffet here. Should it be too crowded the Kwint could be a very good alternative.”

“Horta Museum Rue Américaine 25, Brussels, Belgium, +32 2 543 04 09 The streets around Place du Châtelain are full of beautiful buildings celebrating Brussels’ obsession with architecture. Meander the area admiring the tall slim houses with their ornate ironwork, beautiful large windows, and charming period features. You just might fall in love with your future home. For true housing inspiration visit the Horta Museum, the ultimate example of Art Nouveau accommodation and a UNESCO World Heritage site, on Rue Américaine. Built by Belgian architect Victor Horta, the building, which was his workshop and family home for twenty years, is a veritable time portal to the 1890s. Prepare to marvel at Horta’s interplay of engineering and nature.”

“The Royal Palace is where the King of Belgium exercises his authority as Head of State and is the official palace of the King and Queen of Belgium. It also houses rooms for the country’s special guests, most of which are Heads of State and the offices of certain ministries. It's a tradition: every summer, the Royal Palace opens its doors to the public.”
