The boathouse is a unique space which sleeps 2 in one bedroom/sitting room overlooking the Broad. Fully centrally heated and completely renovated last year, it also has kitchenette, wet room and sunny patio. A pub and cafe are a short walk away. Hot tub rental available.
The Boat House is a unique space which sleeps 2 in one bedroom/sitting room. Fully centrally heated and completely renovated last year, the property has a wonderfully sunny patio where you can relax after a busy day exploring the area. The accommodation comprises of one large room upstairs which has a Feather and Black bed which can be split into twin beds or made into one large double bed. This room also has two armchairs and a TV with a large inbuilt desk set under a window which looks out towards the Broad and the moored boats. This is a wonderful space for the budding writer or for enjoying breakfast. The original staircase (fairly steep) leads down to the kitchenette (please note, no oven) and wetroom. The wetroom has underfloor heating. There is a pub and a cafe in the village, both 5 minute's walk away which serve lunch and evening meals (only the pub serves the latter). There is also 'The Ship Inn' in South Walsham which serves meals and is just over a mile away. The apartment is dog friendly, we accept one well behaved dog. HOT TUB RENTAL £75 per short break. The tub is filled and heated for your arrival and comes with a chilled bottle of prosecco! Homemade cake, fizz and balloons for special occasions £30
Ranworth is a beautiful village in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. There is a nature reserve in the village which has a thatched visitor centre on stilts at the end of a boardwalk which overlooks Ranworth Broad. From here you can take wildlife trips on the Norfolk Wildlife Trust boat. There is a huge array of birds and wildlife to observe and listen to here. The rare swallowtail butterfly can often be seen in the garden. Ranworth church which you can see from the property is known as the 'Cathedral of the Broads'. Climb up to the top of the tower and enjoy wonderful views of the village and views all the way across to the coast. The church is known for it's beautiful rood screen and antiphoner and is well worth a visit. There is also a cafe here. A few minutes walk from the accommodation is the staithe which is host to the many boats which visit the village. Here you will find a pub, shop (closed from November until March) and cafe. It's a great spot to have a meal or a drink and watch the world go by. There are walks in the area and you may also like to visit the nearby Fairhaven Woodland and Water Gardens, which comprises of 53 hectares (131 acres) of beautiful ancient woodland, water gardens and a private broad at South Walsham. Amongst the many things that make living here special, are waking up to the sunshine with the mist hanging over the broad (with the boom of the bittern in the distance if you are lucky!), listening to the owls hooting late at night and drifting along the river on a boat. There is so much to see and do here not only in the village but also in the rest of the Broads. We are also close to many beaches. Winterton beach is a favourite both with locals and our guests. There is cafe right on the beach and a cosy pub in the village of Winterton. Norwich is only half an hour away with it's wonderful shops and museums. Wroxham is 15 minutes away where you can hire a boat to explore the waterways and there are fishing jetties on the River Bure, about 10 minutes drive away. Imagine Spa in Blofield Heath has a range of relaxing treatments available too, again only 10 minutes away!
  • Wow! A charming, high quality and very special place to stay. The attention to detail and cleanliness are exceptional. So many little touches that were very much appreciated. Lovely views of Ranworth Broad to the front, and to the Church and Alpacas to the rear; and what a treat the Alpacas are to watch from the hot tub... Our only disappointment was that we did not book more nights! Thank you Jane, so much.

  • The perfect get away!! Jane was a lovely host and the boat house is amazing. The hot tub was ready as soon as we got there which was nice and relaxing. Jane also had a homemade cake, Prosecco and balloons ready for the arrival for my boyfriends birthday. Will definitely be back in the future!

  • A lovely place to go for a relaxing weekend, very clean and has everything you need. 100% recommend going here!

  • Very nice to stay in, great pub down the road also!

  • My boyfriend and I spent a lovely 4 days at Jane's Boat House in February. The place is just as lovely as it looks in the photos and the views from both sides are very picturesque, even in gale force winds and lashing rain! We loved sitting at the front window overlooking the broads and boats - it was so relaxing and peaceful. Similarly, the sheep and alpacas in the field to the back kept us amused chasing each other around. So sweet! The Boat House is so cosy, warm and snug and the bed is so comfortable. There are also sweet little touches dotted around like freshly cut flowers and sea shells decorating the bath towels. Despite the weather we did manage one evening in the hot tub which was wonderfully relaxing. Jane provides big robes to put on afterwards for the dash back into the warmth. As other reviewers have mentioned, the stairs are very steep but thankfully there are hand rails on both sides so you soon get used to them. Just make sure you have at least one hand free and don't attempt to go down laden with crockery and glasses! We enjoyed a couple of lovely meals out - the first in the Ship Inn just down the road in South Walsham and the other a little further afield in the King's Head in Holt. We also visited the Malsters for a few drinks which is only a 2 minute walk away. The beach at Winterton is a lovely place for a long walk. Jane wasn't around when we first arrived but the self check-in is very easy with the use of a key safe and means that you don't feel like you are disrupting anyone's day. When we met Jane on the second day she was very friendly and welcoming and definitely strikes the right balance between letting you know she is always on hand whilst ensuring you have complete privacy during your stay. All in all we had a fantastic time and are already thinking about when to go back. The Boat House is the perfect location for a long weekend of total rest and relaxation.

We have reduced the rate to just cover our costs to try to help anyone who needs a place to stay. Budget accommodation, we welcome families and groups from all over the world to our home in the comfortable suburbs of Norwich and just within the bounds of the Broads National Park. Full of books, toys, plants, art and instruments.
A quirky semi-detached house built in 1930. Light and airy with lots of stripped wood floors, rainbow colours and plants. It's a real home with all the things a family could need - including books and toys for children of all ages (we have 5 ourselves!). Our cosy living room has a big TV with a Full House cable package, as well as Netflix - there's a even a Nintendo Wii. There's board games, plenty of books and musical instruments to for when you don't want any screens. The back garden is a riot of colour in June and July, with a lawn for lounging (sun loungers provided) and a patio for dining (outdoor seating for up to 10 people is provided). A well stocked kitchen with everything you need for real, actual cooking (we are so fed up of blunt knives, no salt and pepper and missing cork screws when we travel).
Quiet, civilised suburban area of Norwich. The road is quiet and residential. We're only 10 minutes drive from the airport or the train station.
  • Very respectable host. Helpful for last minute booking and for well needed questions. 10/10 recommend!

  • If you visit Joe's expect a house which is more like home. It had everything you could want and more. One of our party loved the musical instruments. Breakfast is as stated basic so if you want more and fresh milk take your own. Check in was easy and Joe wa very quick to answer our one query.

A pet friendly brick and flint cottage in the heart of Happisburgh on the Norfolk coast. The Gig House is perfect for summer breaks or winter escapes alike and is ideally located just 10 minutes from a glorious sandy beach.
The Gig House sleeps: 2 adults and a baby/toddler. We welcome pets - up to 2 large or medium dogs or 3 small dogs, 2 cats and any pet in a cage - and charge £25 per dog or cat per visit. We live across the courtyard and, hopefully, will be there to welcome you and to deal with any questions or requests at any time during your stay. It is located in one of Norfolk's most picturesque coastal villages. The village itself is now famous for the oldest evidence of human activity outside of Africa with footprints discovered on the beach to be over 900 thousand years old. The cosy local pub, within 50 yards of the cottage, echoes the local connection with Sherlock Holmes author Arthur Conan Doyle who visited many times and wrote one of the detective mysteries here. There is also a small shop and post office in the village. In fact the local villagers will proudly boast of the number of other illustratrious visitors who have been drawn to this unique place from Robinson Cruso author Daniel Defoe, cricketer W.C. Grace, sculptors Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth, poet John Betjeman, writer PD James and even the Queen Mother once arriving by helocopter to visit a cousin who lived in the village. The village is a must for those who enjoy the English countryside and its beaches in all seasons. Parking is in the courtyard or on the very quiet lane outside the house. Bus stop 20 m from Albion Cottage but with an infrequent country service. Train station 7 miles away. All week long bookings start on a Saturday and short breaks start on a Monday or Friday, except at Christmas. We do not accept short breaks (less than a week) at peak times (school holidays). Out of season we can be more flexible with length of stay and start day. If you have a larger party this property can be booked in conjunction with Albion Cottage at a special rate (property also on Airbnb).

  • Beautifully designed cottage, very lovely touches including the delicious scones. Liz is super helpful and really knowledgable about the geology and archaeology of the area. A wonderful stay!

  • A lovely little retreat to stay in a lovely village in Norfolk. We loved the thoughtful touches which included fresh flowers and scones with cream and jam. A cozy place just right for two people and a dog. It was very well equipped, very clean and had homely touches. Located in a quiet village, a quick walk to the sea.

    Helena2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • A great little cosy stay. The house is small but for two adults, a 6month year old and a big dog, we had plenty of room. Small kitchen with everything you need. Bedroom was warm and cosy and bathroom was really nice and very clean. Location was great. A five / ten minute walk to the beach and easy drives out to the main areas. Very quiet little village with local shops about a ten minute drive away

    Chris2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy little spot. Walking distance to the beach & pub. Would love to return in the summer.

    Maggie2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Such a lovely home with thoughtful touches. Liz gave us some tips on the local area meaning we got to see seal cubs on the beach, experience great walks and enjoy good pub food. Would definitely recommend!

  • A lovely stay in this quiet, cosy location only a 10 minute walk from Happisburgh beach. A lovely base from which to explore the Norfolk countryside and to then retreat to at the end of the day. A lovely space with nice touches such as scones and clotted cream on arrival, fresh flowers and spare blankets. It was easy to find and somewhere we loved spending time. Would recommend it to anyone!

    Adam2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • The Gig House is a splendid place to spend a few days. Cosy, and with everything you could want for break from the everyday. It sits in the lee of the huge Happisburgh church tower and is close by to a very good pub with excellent food. The beach is a short walk away and there are any amount of footpaths. We saw great flocks of birds passing overhead at dusk and great skeins of wild geese coming in from the sea in the mornings. Lots to do in the general area, but a nice quiet traditional village to come back to! The Gig House is clean and attractively furnished, Liz, the owner was welcoming and eager to make our stay a success. We’d thoroughly recommend it as a base to explore the area or just as a bolt-hole from the pressures of the daily round.

Our self contained flat is bright & cosy & consists of a double bedroom, bathroom, lounge & kitchen & is within walking distance of the city centre, Carrow Rd, Aviva, The Waterfront & the bus & train stations. Our flat is above our pub The Rose & each booking includes a £5 beer voucher. Access is separate to our pub which serves ales (CAMRA GBG 2019), craft beers, & food. Our pub is not rowdy or open late! Parking can be found on nearby streets or carparks or by arrangement with a neighbour
The flat is on the first floor and accessed by stairs. There is a shared outdoor decked area. Street parking is limited but there are 2 carparks nearby which are reasonable for overnight parking. As we are so close to the City centre there can be traffic noise at rush hour.
From the flat there is easy access to the beautiful historic centre of Norwich as well as main shopping areas, the river and the football ground. Close by are several parks and the area is well served for restaurants, takeaways and cafes and only a few minutes drive to the A47 to explore the Norfolk Broads and our lovely coast. We are easily accessible from the A11 too.
  • Dawn was really friendly and quick to reply to our messages. The flat was stylish and felt spacious for the two of us. It's in a great location only a short walk into the city centre and the pub downstairs is really cool (great drinks selection with a free £5 voucher, good alternative music, and a cool business link with a local Indian restaurant that delivers to your table!). We would definitely stay again.

  • Dawn's flat was perfect for our two-night trip to Norwich. It was clean and comfortable and although it's above the pub, you don't get a lot of noise. It's a short walk into the city centre and a great space to come back to when you've been out all day. We'd love to stay again on a future visit.

    Adrienne2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for our needs, great communication and amazing hospitality. The pub below is smart and stocks great ciders and beers from all over. Noise is not an issue for the flat. We had a car and had no problems parking right by the flat. Would definitely stay again.

  • Dawn’s flat is so lovely and makes a perfect cosy weekend away. The kitchen has everything you could want and the lounge is spacious with a massive Sky TV. The bedroom is cozy with large windows to give lots of light. The bathroom is great with a very large bath. We were just 10 minutes from the city centre so could easily walk in. We had some fantastic coastal walks and saw so many seals. What a beautiful part of the country.

With a footpath just outside the cottage, it's just a 10-15 minute walk from Winterton beach or a 2 minute drive. Old Church Barn has two bedrooms (one is downstairs with an ensuite) and an upstairs bedroom with a second bathroom. Downstairs there is a large living room with a smart TV and woodburner, and doors leading to the rear patio. The well equipped kitchen is a cook's delight and includes two ovens, an electric hob, a microwave, integrated fridge, freezer and a dishwasher. There's a dining area with seating for four people. The downstairs bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, TV and ensuite bathroom with a shower, wash basin and WC. Upstairs on the mezzanine level you'll find the second bedroom which has a standard double size bed. Please note the headroom in this bedroom is restricted. There's a second bathroom containing a bath with a shower over it, wash basin and WC. Opposite the second bedroom is a dressing room or chill out area with bean bags which also has restricted headroom. Outside there's an enclosed patio area to the rear, and the front garden is also enclosed with a small lawn (the garden has been fenced and enclosed since the pictures were taken). The outhouse contains a Belfast sink with hot/cold water as well as the washing machine. Old Church Barn has free wifi and off road parking for two cars. Up to two dogs are welcome at Old Church Barn by prior arrangement.
  • Fantastic stay - location was perfect, just a short walk from the beach. The recommended walks in the book were great! Will definitely be back to Winterton.

  • Loved loved loved this barn. We’ll most definitely be back. This place was perfect for dogs - lovely enclosed garden in front. And they even supplied a box of dog towels. The bars itself was immaculate and very stylish. And the local advice and tips were brilliant! Five stars from us.

  • A fantastic barn in a very beautiful spot, walking distance to a gorgeous beach. It was the perfect house to come back to after chilly walks. Couldn’t have asked for more, and have already recommended it!

  • A perfectly located and beautifully equipped house with a short walk to the beach. A dog walkers paradise! Hopefully we will be back again soon

  • Our family of four, along with our small dachsie, had a fantastic five-day stay in this stylish holiday home, which exceeded our expectations in every respect. Perfect for lazy days indoors, offering all mod cons, beautiful decorative touches, attention to detail and thoughtful touches - down to the torch for late-night digestive walks after dinners prepared in the perfectly equipped kitchen. An ideal location to get away from it all! We enjoyed the lovely walk to the beach and to the nearest pub, along with plenty of excursions detailed in Rachel’s guest information booklet. We look forward to returning to this cosy and idyllic gem at some stage soon. One of our favourite Airbnb experiences in the UK!

  • We had a lovely stay at the barn. It's really nicely finished inside and out. Great to be able to take the dog and an easy walk down to the beach. Always nice to have a log burner too, even if it's not really needed. Overall we had a thoroughly enjoyable time.

    James2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • We've just spent three nights here and had the most wonderful time. Such a beautiful place and so close to the beach and local pubs. And a lovely surprise goody basket upon arrival, what more can you ask for.

  • Highly recommended. A lovely, cozy get away with a great log burner! An excellent base to explore the local area from.

  • You'd struggle to find anything to complain about here. The communication was great, as soon as it got close to our stay we got the check in instructions which could not be clearer, it's nice to do self check ins in my opinion. As soon as we got in could instantly see and smell how clean the place was. There was local knowledge left on notes for guests to use as they wish. The hut had so much to offer, even if it's a night in you want, stuff to keep you busy. Everything we wanted to do and see was about half hour away, 40 max. All in all a great stay and would highly recommend. Thanks for the lovely stay. Tommy.

  • Beautifully appointed hut , good quality everything ( including smart tv , a first for us in an air b and b ) in a lovely location by a stream , the village is a rarity in the modern world having a shop , pub and excellent fish and chip shop , reasonably good day time public transport , very near to the much improved small town of Alysham . Excellent value

The Crossing Retreat is a timber clad barn which has been renovated to give guests a taste of the countryside with a quirky twist. The large bi-folding doors along one side of the Retreat allow guests to open up their living space to the outdoors, perfect for those warm evenings.
The Crossing Retreat is a timber clad modern barn which has been renovated to give guests a taste of the countryside with a quirky twist. The large bi-folding doors along one side of the Retreat allow guests to open up their living space to the outdoors, perfect for those warm evenings. In the cooler months it provides a great source of light, enabling guests to watch the world go by from the warm and cosy comfort of indoors. The surrounding fields provide lovely views from the Crossing Retreat’s private courtyard garden where guests can enjoy the lantern lit outdoor seating area.
Tunstead has many traffic free walks/ cycle routes and a very cute watering hole which welcomes passers by with home cooked lunches, local ales, cakes and evening meals at the weekend. St Mary church at the end of the lane is a particularly vast church for such a small village, so too is the church at Worstead just 2.5miles away. This village is also host to Titchfest held this year on 25th-26th June and the famous Worstead festival on 30th-31st July. Hoveton Hall is just around the corner and has some amazing gardens to stroll round. Also very close by is Wroxham Barns which has a farmyard, amusement rides, garden centre, specialist shops and a restaurant (which sells the most amazing full English breakfast!). Further on but still only 3 miles from the cottage is Wroxham, the heart of the broads. There you can hire a boat, canoe, bike or walk along the river sampling the restaurants and cafes. It is also where you can board the Bure Valley Railway, which is Norfolk's longest fifteen inch gauge line running between Wroxham and Aylsham. The 18 mile round trip takes you through the picturesque Bure valley countryside following the river and stops occasionally at small country villages. Also within 3 miles is Coltishall, a lovely village on the river Bure, housing antiques shops and pubs with outdoor seating on the riverside. You are also only 10 miles from the famous North Norfolk coastline. Whether you're looking for large expanses of sand, walking along sand dunes or marshland, bird/ seal watching or water sports the Norfolk coastline has them all. Just over an hour's drive takes you to Southwold, a typical Victorian seaside town with a modern take on the classic arcades. We can't not talk about North Norfolk without mentioning the National Trust sites; Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall, Sheringham Park and finally Blakeney Point. We also have some super golf courses which we have played on and will be able to recommend to you. Finally, the Georgian town of Holt is also not far away and is a must to sample its quirky shops, pubs and galleries.
  • I booked Ems place again for my sister's birthday and as always we had an amazing time. The place is perfect.... played pool for hours..sound system is brilliant and of course The beautiful cats are the cherry on top of the cake. We will be back!

Andy and Em were quick to reply to any messages and gave good tips on where to eat in the area etc. Would definitely recommend!

  • Absolutely loved our stay, everything was spotless and clean (bedding, towels etc smelt lovely and fresh), the pool table was awesome and we loved watching films on the projector. It was like having our own private cinema, such a lovely place. And to top it all off, the cats were beautiful and Lulu was the sweetest cat we've ever met, with her padding and purrs and cuddles. Really was a home from home, would love to come again xxx

We plan to open again on the 14th April for sensible guests to book. Stiltz has always been a place many of our guests never leave, so get away and never see anyone else in our exceptional holiday home. Stiltz is dedicated to love and romance, connect with that special person, get away and focus on each other with hot tub and surrounding decking has uninterrupted views of the valley, walk in 350 acres of woodland without meeting anyone. A luxury kingsize four--poster-bed a woodburner.
The impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on our guests and our properties. We care deeply about your safety, whether you are at home or traveling. With this in mind, I would like to share some actions we are taking to help you make informed decisions about your stay or plan to stay with us. A major benefit for us is that we are very rural, and you never need meet anyone during your stay here. Most guests travel by car and we provide private and isolated guest car parking. And within the vast Woodlands and Heaths that back onto the properties, it is very rare to meet other people, and if people are walking their dogs, it is easy to see people approaching from a distance and to go in other directions. For the interim, we have removed all sauces and condiments, tea bags and aromatherapy oils for the hot tubs at both rentals. We will still provide a large portion of coffee beans for the coffee machines in a resealable container (kept in the fridges) which is replaced between guests, so these items you will now need to bring for your own personal use. Stand down day. We have now implemented an additional 24 hours between guests arriving and departing our properties. This is for two main reasons, one, it allows our hot tubs to be drained completely, and two, for us to carry out a full deeper clean, bleaching all surfaces in between all guests. Our cleaners have been advised/reminded on how to thoroughly clean our properties, and have been provided with additional cleaning solutions to ensure this is correctly carried out. This will double the time they spend cleaning our properties, however, we are determined to always continue to improve our excellent hygiene standards. We would also ask that all our guests please also follow government guidelines on hand washing and daily hygiene to ensure we are all working together to avoid this virus. What you can do to stay healthy Whether you’re at home or traveling, the WHO recommends practicing good hygiene to protect yourself against infection — by washing your hands frequently with soap, so we provide hand soap in our properties, we will provide correct strength alcohol-based sanitizer, if it is available for us to buy then we will provide it, but advice is soap and water with robust scrubbing is more effective. The advice of maintaining distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing, and avoiding touching your eyes, nose and mouth. So as a precaution we do not plan to meet any guests from now on during your stay, during check-in or check-out, key boxes ( we use anti bacterial treatment between guests on all key boxes) allow you to enter the property and leave with out the need to meet us. Airbnb now are changing cancelation policy and cancellation charges are being updated so guests do not lose out, please check regularly the site for details and you have any problems with COVID-19, we would prefer that you do cancel if your circumstances change, and if we have any problems then you will be notified via the app. We understand as this situation rapidly evolves, we know there is an atmosphere of uncertainty as travellers wonder if they should change their plans and we will do all we can to help with regular information. We have had some fantastic reviews, and we attract guests hunting for what we offer, therefore we want to be clear on what you can expect so you can then have the very best experience and therefore Stiltz can not be suitable for everyone or all tastes, it is very rural and designed for couples wanting to get away from it all. Stiltz has been compared to tree house and would not suitable for every one, so Stiltz is not suitable for guests as the Home access is ONLY by steps and the decking can be slippery when wet, and so please DO NOT BOOK, with children, or Older or limited mobility or Disabled guest, but our other property the lodge is child and Disability friendly and sleeps up to four or five and you can also book via Airbnb. Stiltzs is a building surrounded by decking and is on stilts as it is built on the side of a hill. It is only accessible ONLY by STEPs on both sides as pictured, the retreat has dual aspect decking, allowing you to maximise sun and shade from dawn till dusk, with the best uninterrupted views of the valley and 12 acres of meadows which surrounds our hot tub. This has been perfect for couples wanting a special break away. We have done all we can to make it as comfortable as possible, the luxury inside, alongside the pleasure of watching the sunset with a glass of bubbly at any time of the year from the warmth of the hot tub is something special that a photo cannot capture! The only better experience is that, on a clear night, you can lay back in the hot tub under a canopy of stars, which is something our guests have been amazed by and loved! As the decking is on different levels, we would not recommend it for infants, please do not ignore this advice as it is for your safety! For the same reasons, it is also not suitable for anyone who has mobility issues or disabilities, and again best pick the lodge, also with so much decking if it gets wet, care also needs to be taken for all our guests, and again, some more elderly guests would not find it practical to stay at Stiltz either. It is especially designed for couples looking for a romantic brake from the bustle of everyday life, curling up in front of a roaring fire with that special someone. We are miles away from the nearest village, and access is via an unmade track. Also some mobile providers also have poor coverage in our area too, it is rural with a capital R, so if fast broadband is a must have for your stay, then our location is not for you! The lodge is located with access to 600 acres of heathland and woods close to the leisure area called Top Farm, but Stiltz is completely separate and the field to the south-west has caravans and the field to the south-east has camping pitches, also the camping area can be used for Weddings in the summer and the area becomes busier in the School Summer Holiday periods, however, there is no access to the field around Stiltz, it is totally private, and all the facilities, including the hot tub, are for the exclusive of our guests during their stay and is tucked away from view. However, it’s charm can be felt in the Autumn and Winter months, the area is so quite and it feels like you are the only people for miles around! From the bedroom you can see the same views through triple glazed windows and, when you wake, relax in the luxury ash grey four poster bed, on a mattress which has over a 1000 individual pocket springs with deep, luxury fillings, this is a hand tufted mattress to give optimum support for a peaceful night’s sleep. We provide high quality and fresh bed linen for all guests, with luxury soft pillows and duvet. Many of our guests have said that, when combined with a couple of hours in the hot tub, it has made for the best night’s sleep they’ve had in years! (We also provide, free of charge, lavender, raspberry and other scented oils for use in the hot tub). We built Stiltz for relaxing in, and it is ideal for guests who want to stay somewhere a bit special. Our happiest clients seem to be couples who want to get away from it all, but not to scrimp on comfort! The french solid oak flooring in the bedroom steps you into the travertine stone floor of the ensuite, with shower, basin and toilet, with soft deep towels provided, or your robes provided for the spa. The en suite is clad in hand cut timber painted with soft eggshell. From the shower room step into the lounge, with a deep four-seater, grey, leather sofa, to curl up on for a cosy night in front of the contemporary wood burner, with the option of watching the Panasonic 40" Smart TV, with Freeview TV, DVD player and selection of DVD's. It is unlikely you will feel either too cold or, too hot, as the building is super insulated, but the 5 kilowatt state of the art Scandinavian wood burner can make the place very hot quite rapidly. (The manual has details on its operation), and with a flick of a switch the warm aromatic air can be pulled through into your bedroom. We provide all wood and kindling free of charge for your stay, as it is a must for our winter guests! You can exit the lounge stepping onto your personal decked areas on both sides of Stiltz via sets of double patio doors. To the sun deck or covered breakfast area, all areas can be again fully lit in the evenings. The dining table separates the lounge from the kitchen area, and you will find DAB radio and an Ipod dock for visitors’ use. Both the lounge and kitchen have white bespoke New England adjustable shutters for maximum privacy and shade. The kitchen is well equipped with all your home comforts, seasoning (Tuscan, Italian , French, chilli and others) plus your own top of the range bean to cup coffee machine (Instructions to be found in the manual), also find complimentary fresh coffee beans kept in the fridge for your use also. Dishwasher, toaster, blender and kettle are also provided. Instant coffee and a selection of twelve types of tea bags from herbal to Earl Grey are complementary . Also, all necessities, i.e. dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and cleaning products. The cooking area has a ceramic hob, extractor fan and a large separate combination microwave/grill/oven (Instructions in the manual), also commentary cooking oils, balsamic vinegar, sauces, herbs and spices. To brighten up our kitchen we have a fun, bright orange, retro fridge-freezer and on top you have your very own ice machine. We even provide a full set of condiments, ketchup, mustard, chilli, tabasco and much more! At the end of the kitchen you can exit on to a further decked balcony via the third set of patio doors. This time, the deck has a glass roof, and you can step out onto the sun deck with sun loungers ready surrounded by a glass balcony, so as not to spoil your view! From there you can step straight into the spa, which is level with the deck. With external down lighters outside the north facing glazed wall, these, and all the extensive external lighting, are controlled from the door by the bedroom, which leads you on to the decking. The framed edge of the decked balcony is also lined with stainless steel handrails and cabling. The hot tub is a Catalina XL21000, with twin loungers so you can lay back. It seats five comfortably, and with three pumps and a heated blower the 64 stainless steel jets should not miss a spot delivering the ultimate relaxation. However, if you wish to chill in this idyllic country setting, then pop up the built in speakers, and turn on the CD player, with topside controls from within the tub, or plug in your phone or iPod to listen to your own playlist, and at night you can always turn on the tubs own underwater LED lights. On the decking next to the hot tub are two padded rattan chairs and table, perfect for breakfasts, and a bistro set with low chairs and a table perfect for evening prosecco. Our guests can enjoy their evening with subtle light from blue up lighters on the deck (for safety, champagne flutes, tumblers and wine goblets provided are polycarbonate for use in the hot tub). The decking area can also accommodate hammocks provided, the area to the south has a corner rattan sofas and large table with a 3.5m Anthracite Overhanging Parrassol, and the picnic table and seats with brolly. Additional shade can also be introduced by raising both the three metre sails. This decked area is ideal if you wish to fire up the three burner gas BBQ (Full set of tools provided for BBQing), and with the down lighters in the evenings along the soffit, create a perfect area for relaxation. Beyond this decking is a gravel courtyard, framed with willow fencing adorned with solar lanterns, this area too has a bistro set of chairs and table on the stones safe for those wishing to smoke. but if you fancy something funky one of the two moulded stools lights up, just select your Colour by remote control. If you hanker for straying a bit further in the outdoors, then down the stairs off the decking into miles of woodland walks (map on the wall of the 500 acres in total without crossing a road) or, venture onto the adjacent heathland on bikes, which we can organise hire for your stay if you would like? Even if you clock up the miles on your walk, you will be lucky to come across anyone else, but you will find miles more beautiful scenery without a house in sight. Just as with the views from the decking around Stiltz! We except guests with well-behaved pets, but we require information on your pet before we accept the booking. We want your stay to meet our high standards, and so, we like to change the water in the hot tub every week, but this takes more than 12 hours to empty, refill and get back to the correct temperature, therefore to allow this to happen, we do appreciate a prompt departure to allow us to be able to do this for our next guests. However, if we do not have guests arriving the following afternoon we are happy to be more flexible on departure times, so please just ask. Also, weekends are our most popular time for bookings, so we do discount week nights and longer stays! With only one bedroom Stiltz normally only caters for 2 adults maximum, however, we can also provide a fold away spare bed and the large sofa can be used as a single bed due to its size and comfort, as some guests have wanted to bring their children. However, as previously stated, we do not recommend toddlers or the disabled to stay due to the lodge layout and safety around the hot tub, steps and decking. The car parking space is covered by CCTV for security, but the CCTV does not cover the hottub and private Garden and decking areas. Please browse our pictures, although our guests (and us) don't believe they do Stiltz the justice it deserves!! Why not come see for yourselves!! We do ask for a minimum stay of two nights, this is because cleaning, inside and out thoroughly can take three to four hours. Also, the emptying, filling and regular maintenance of the hot tub has to be completed and returning it to operating temperature can take many hours. We always clean and flush the hot tub every week, and it is only for your exclusive use only during your stay.
We have had some fantastic reviews, and we attract guests hunting for what we offer, therefore we want to be clear on what you can expect so you can then have the very best experience and therefore Stiltz can not be suitable for everyone or all tastes, it is very rural and designed for couples wanting to get away from it all and some guests are disappointed as we do not have good reliable wifi, so during your stay if you can't live a couple of days without a stable super fast wifi connection then I recommend a city break, respectfully, we are in the "sticks" and would not want you to think otherwise. Also if you can't find the date you want or you want no steps and a flat entrance to the building then you can book "the Lodge" same features, all new and it can be more peaceful as at certain times the field next to Stiltz is hosted by the owners of the farm (not us!) for weddings and other events, and at these times Stiltz is normally booked for the bride and groom. So Stiltz is very quite 90% of the time but at busier periods music can be heard at these times, please ask if this a concern and we can check what's on and also the lodge is tucked around the other side of the farm so is more private and more enclosed if that is a must, please book the place that most suits your needs ! But most of all this is an ideallic and remote spot loved by all! You might want help with Bike hire, we can do that so it is all sorted, hats, lights and locks for your arrival, look at above guest access section it has full details, plus details on Tesco or Sainsbury delivery for when or before they arrive, just ask and we can agree the slot and order all your goodies to maximise your time in the Hottub or exploring the woods! Guests have commented that the pictures we post do not do Stiltz justice and we love that! We have gone to extra lengths on the detail, the mattress was one of the most expensive available and framed by a hand made four poster bed, the cost coffee machine would set you back a pretty penny, but it is not about how much we spend on the stuff inside and out. We keep the freshest coffee beans in the fridge for that perfect cup of coffee, Our cleaner spends 3-4 hours after every guest departure making sure it is spotless, we want you stay to be perfect and for us it has to be very clean, and that goes for the Hottub, we spend many hours after every guest, cleaning pipes, changing / cleaning filters, changing water and cleaning the tub and did I say fresh water, it is a major exercise as the hot tub takes an hour to empty, over two to fill, and it can take eight hours or more to reach the ideal temperature, so if we don't have time we can do a partial change, and a deep clean, as we look to to do a full change every week, not the two months as recommended by the manufacturer and as others do, on top and as a matter of course we balance the water condition twice daily, for us this has to be clean as, you would not want to share someone else's bath! We had our first guest propose in the Hottub in December, there are some occasions best remembered under a carpet of stars in a dark sky in water set to 103 degrees with a 4,500 bubbles per second, we set the seen as best we can, we do the detail so you can forget it! But we have had guests whom have spent till 5am in the Hottub and slept till 3pm, we do not do your normal week, if you live in Essex, Devon, London or Hertfordshire, you will have an experience designed to be far away from the routine and some time away from the buzz with someone special! Our guests can enjoy their stay, relaxing in the hot tub on the outdoor decked area, with commanding views over the peaceful North Norfolk countryside surrounding Stiltz Lodge, or BBQ on the decked area to the rear and lounge in a hammock!! We decorate in side and out at Christmas. If you are planning a special break then you we often surprise our guests with a complementary Bottle of prosecco on ice with glasses, that way your holiday can start the second you arrive and if it is chilly you will find a roaring waiting for you to toast your toes! If you are unsure read the reviews, or stay and be miles away from the daily graft and write your own story! We like our guests to enjoy their stay, some regular Airbnb guests and new to us have said Stiltz is the best place they have ever stayed, find out?
  • Great accommodation, fab view across the fields from the decking and hot tub, really snug with the wood burner going. Very well equipped, compact and stylish.

  • Stiltz is a fantastic place to stay if you're looking for peace and quiet. It's sparkling clean, has fantastic amenities (my favourites were the coffee machine and the hot tub) and is great for dogs. The surrounding area is great for walks, and Chrissy and Paul's local knowledge is very helpful if you're unfamiliar with the area!

  • Jack's place has been beautifully renovated with good quality furniture and amenities. There are some really thoughtful touches such as toiletries, tea and coffee and the parking permit. We went to a wedding at St John the baptist cathedral and it was a 5 minute walk so was perfect. It is so close to the trendy bars and restaurants on Unthank Road and Jack recommended Blue Joanna for dinner, which didn't disappoint.

Charming Edwardian home in the centre of the Golden Triangle area of Norwich. A short walk from Unthank road with its cafes pubs. Frequent buses run to the station and the UEA. The city centre of this stunning cathedral city is just a 20 minute walk away.
The advertised room is a pleasant guest room in our large terraced house. There is a neighbouring bathroom which can be for exclusive guest use. We have a pretty garden with decking and a spacious kitchen and breakfast room. There is a travel cot if required .
This is delightful residential area with a friendly atmosphere home to both families and students.
  • From the moment we were greeted and shown to the room, we were impressed. The room was beautiful with everything you could want for, we enjoyed a deep bath in the stunning bathroom and a really delicious breakfast (cereals, yoghurts, spreads, fresh bread, juice, fruit- amazing!). Andy and Deborah are a lovely couple who are clearly passionate about hospitality! I am absolutely amazed at the value for money, the tea and coffee available is room was luxurious, and availability of my favourite natural branded bath goodies. The breakfast alone was amazing value. Daffodils everywhere - this place will make you feel happy!! If you’re coming from afar we can recommend The Wallow - self service wine dispensers, 25% off on Wednesdays! Too much champagne so we got a taxi back through the city for £7. Can’t write enough wonderful things about this place, and whenever we are next in need of a night away, or a night off driving, we will gladly return! Have told all our friends!!!!

  • Such a stunning stay. The photos don’t do it justice! The lovely detail and cosy touches in this stay made our trip very special. Nice and quiet and exactly what a get away is made for. Nice small village with a local shop and The Fox Pub nearby which we did not need as we utilised the stay to have some delicious home cooked food with the fire on. Norwich city centre a 30 min drive, and coast places also only a 30 min drive. Overall lovely place to relax and so ideal for winter months. Want to visit again already!

    Chloe2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely retreat especially in the cold weather! A nice bottle of wine added a special touch on arrival and the log fire made it feel cosy. Just be careful when following directions straight from the Air BnB app as we ended up on a neighbours property instead at first

    Leanne2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Cute and cosy! We loved our stay. Our pup enjoyed snuggling in his bed by the wood burner, when we finally got it going! (We’re townies!) Perfect little base for a couple of nights. Had dinner at The Fox the first night, nice food, staff were lovely, booking recommended, it’s only a 2 minute walk, there are paths but it was very dark and muddy so bring a torch! We had coffee and cake at Lyng Stores the following morning, we sat outside as dogs aren’t allowed in but it was a lovely sunny day and was nice to see locals coming in and out of the shop, felt like a little hub of the community, everyone was so friendly saying hello as they passed us. Would stay again, thanks for having us and for the bottle of wine

This is a lovely light filled and spacious room with an amazingly comfy king-sized bed! It's got an old fashioned wardrobe, nice old painted floorboards and beverage making facilities so that you can feel you are almost in your own little flat. Our house is a colourful arty sort of house, as recent guests have pointed out, and we are all friendly. I put breakfast things on the table (cereals, bread, crumpets, spreads, milk etc) so guests can help themselves if they want to.
I'm not sure what makes this place unique as I've lived here so long but quite a few people have told me that they like all the wallpaper (quite retro, apparently, according to an art school trio that filmed here!) and the cosy lounge....
This area is a favoured attractive residential area of Norwich with good access to the city centre, transport links and the hospital and University. It would be ideal for someone working temporarily at the hospital, UEA, or in the theatre or attending an interview (I ve had a few guests staying overnight for interviews the next day). Just around the corner is the popular Greengrocer's coffee shop (great for drinks and meals), a Coop store with really nice staff, an eclectic food, jewellery and brilliant organic cosmetics shop (run by the charming Francis) and there are also some delightful non-chain pubs close by. There is also a Tesco Express and another Coop store on Unthank Road. If you want a springtime stroll in the area, you'll find Heigham Park about 3 minutes from our door.

  • This little flat has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is perfectly located just off the Norwich ring road (although you wouldn't know as it is so quiet) with easy access to Norwich and the Norfolk coast. Bus stop at the back of the nearby Asda, buses run into Norwich centre approx every 20 mins. Only had the pleasure to stay 2 nights but would definitely return. Karen and Ivor are perfect hosts - helpful, friendly and kind. You cannot go wrong booking this airbnb.

The Annexe provides light, attractive, comfortable self contained accommodation in our recently refurbished home. We are in the centre of Aylsham with easy access to the Bure Valley Railway, pubs, cafes and restaurants. The Annexe has its own entrance and is on the ground floor with parking outside. Guests have the use of their own brand new shower room and lobby with under floor heating. They may also use the utility room equipped with fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer.
The kitchenette is equipped with a kettle, a toaster and provisions for a continental breakfast. There are several cafes, restaurants and pubs in easy walking distance where more substantial food can be obtained. Aylsham is a very attractive, historic market town which is ideally located for access to Blickling Hall, the beautiful Norfolk coast and the fine city of Norwich.
Despite being in the centre of the town, the property is very quiet. Guests have their own parking space on the drive of the house, just outside the Annexe. Keys Auction house is at the bottom of the road and there are regular markets in the town centre.
  • We had a great three night stay in this sparklingly clean and beautifully appointed cottage. The bed was very comfortable and all amenities perfect. We would have appreciated a small microwave oven to heat food and beverages in the cold of winter but this lack did not detract from our overall enjoyment of our stay. Our hosts, Adrian and Cathie, were very friendly and helpful and we would highly recommend their place to any travelers to or through Aylsham. We would love to stay again if we find ourselves in the vicinity.

Old Dairy Barn is a perfect hideaway, ideal for a short break or longer holiday to perhaps celebrate a birthday or anniversary, or to stay longer and explore the surrounding area. On the doorstep of the Norfolk Broads and the North Norfolk Coast. Not far from the City of Norwich and walking distance to the beautiful village of Worstead with it's pub. The cottage also benefits from a new Wellis hot tub, which is shared with our other 1 bedroom cottage and can be booked for private use.
The one bedroom cottage is in the grounds of the main Barn, situated in the North Norfolk country side, walking distance to the village of Worstead and not far from the market town of North Walsham. The bedroom has a stunning four poster bed. There is a fully fitted and equipped kitchen where you can prepare your meals, we will leave a welcome basket with a continental breakfast, tea, coffee and nespresso machine. The location and cottage are ideally suited to those that enjoy the great outdoors, with lovely country walks and local cycle routes. There is also a gym on site and a luxurious Wellis Spa hot tub, that is the perfect way to relax at the end of a long day. We have adult and children’s bikes that are available to rent. We have some great cycle routes in the immediate area, starting at the property, from 5km to 200km, we can provide a recommendation for you. Guided cycling tours can be arranged with us at weekends at an extra charge, please enquire if you are interested. We can arrange leisurely rides along the Weavers Way.
The cottage is located close to Worstead, Norfolk, England, United Kingdom. The Norfolk and Suffolk Broads are Britain's largest protected wetland and third largest inland waterway in the UK, with the status of a national park. It's also home to some of the rarest plants and animals in the UK. The Broads Authority was set up in 1989, with responsibility for conservation, planning, recreation and waterways. From windswept beaches and quaint coastal villages to nature reserves, market towns and beautiful sweeping countryside perfect for an amble. There are many things to do and places to visit throughout Norfolk, including excellent family attractions along with a fantastic calendar of year-round events held in different towns and villages. The fine city of Norwich is only a short drive away making for an ideal day trip for culture, shopping, theatre or eating out. The city of London is a 90 minute train ride away from Norwich station, trains leave every 30 minutes.
  • What a special place to relax and recover. The obvious jewel in the crown is the hot-tub, which doesn't disappoint, but everything else was perfect too. The kitchen is really well equipped which is a big plus for us, since we much prefer to cook ambitious things and eat in. The bed was super comfy and with the darkness and quietness made for a great night's sleep. Our only bit of feedback would be to have the heating timer on a little longer at this time of year - we found ourselves pressing the 1hr boost button a few times, particularly after making the 10 metre dash from the tub back to the cottage in the high Norfolk winds! Will definitely be coming back again in the future.

  • Clare's place is a very stylish and comfortable bolt-hole away from the world - beautifully appointed, everything you could possibly need, excellent location. Watching the stars from the hot-tub was a particular highlight but everything was great. Good comms, clear instructions, lots of good info - couldn't ask for better - thank you Clare!

    Alex2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Clare’s a great host the Diary barn is beautiful. Nice touches like milk, bread, OJ and jams on your arrival. Make sure to pre book hot tub we didn’t and missed out.

  • Lovely cottage, really up to date amenities. Gorgeous hot tub! When a problem occurred due to Storm Ciara, Clare sorted it out pragmatically and generously. Its in a great area with easy access to anything you could wish for including seals on the beach! Secure garden for a dog.

    Eppy2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • James and I booked to stay here after our wedding for a couple of nights. Clare was absolutely fantastic helping us to get booked in, keeping in contact before the stay and left us something to help us celebrate our marriage which was so incredibly thoughtful. The hot tub was amazing! We both loved being able to relax after such a busy day and took full advantage of this facility! The bed was super comfy, the bathroom was spotlessly clean as was the rest of the house. I literally have nothing to fault! Thank you again.

    Kelly2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A great little getaway, clean and modern. Great connection with the host, will definitely be back! Thankyou for having us!

    Poppy2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful weekend here! Really beautiful location, the cottage is lovely and the hot tub is AMAZING! All the little touches were very much appreciated, such as the continental breakfast and the robes and slippers for the hot tub! Clare was a brilliant host - really friendly and very welcoming, and on hand to sort any issues (even setting up an app to control the hot tub for us in advance as she noticed it had an issue with one of the buttons before we arrived - and even that was fixed the next day!). We'd 100% recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!

A calm and cosy hut with a very comfortable double bed, an easy-to-use wood burning stove and lots of storage. Bed linen & towels included. Electric kettle & fridge, no cooking facilities but crockery & cutlery supplied together with tea, coffee & milk. Outside: large veranda and garden table & chairs & small garden barbecue. Shower/loo across the garden in The Wash Hut. Peaceful setting in our orchard paddock. Private parking & access.
We are a tiny business and have been building and restoring shepherds' huts for nearly 20 years. The design of our huts is derived from the old working hut used on the family farm two miles away - with some extra home comforts included! We are very conscious of the original purpose and history of shepherds' huts and promote wool as much as we can: like all our huts this one is insulated throughout with Thermafleece (85% wool) and has a proper British made wool & cotton mattress which should provide you with an excellent night's sleep. The hut is absolutely secure with fully lockable door and windows.
Salle is a tiny village with a huge and beautiful church. Park Farm is over 400 years old and was originally the main dairy farm for the Salle Park Estate. We are 10 miles from Norwich and 15 miles from the North Norfolk coast. The village of Cawston is about a mile away with an excellent delicatessen/cafe, All Things Nice and a good eating pub: The Blue Bell. Heydon (2 miles) has The Earle Arms, a wonderful and historic village pub that does excellent meals; also in Heydon is a very nice tea room with great cake! We are 4 miles from Blickling Hall (National Trust).
  • Lovely little hut, perfect for a chilled out weekend away in the Norfolk countryside. Plenty of options to eat within a short drive. The hut is a well thought out space and we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend to other guests.

With Covid-19 causing a great deal of stress for everyone at present, I would like to reassure my guests that I am doing everything I can to minimise any risk. The apartment is quiet and clean with no adjoining neighbours and before each guest arrives all touch surfaces are disinfected. All linen is clean and fresh and hand sanitiser is available for use. I hope this helps. Grosvenor House is superbly located to enjoy city life. Located 2 minutes walk from the Train station and Riverside.
This is a modern and contemporary two bedroom apartment situated on the forth floor. The sociable living space has a superb design element providing views over the city including the cathedral. The two bedrooms which are cosy but generous in size also share these views. They both come with double beds, blackout blinds and everything you would need for a good nights sleep.
The building is ideally positioned on one of the primary routes in and out of the city centre, as well as being within close proximity of Norwich Train Station, a mere two minute walk. As the regional capital of Norfolk, Norwich is famous for its vibrant art culture. It's a thriving city with plenty to offer for all including Norwich Cathedral, a host of trendy restaurants and bars, picturesque parks and The Norfolk and Norwich Festival. Located close to the coast, Cromer, Sheringham, Great Yarmouth and Gorleston with their fantastic sandy shores are only a short drive away for those who like to stroll the promenade or relax on a beach. Or perhaps chance it at one of the casinos! Another great attraction is the beautiful Norfolk Broads where you can hire a boat for the day or relax at one of the riverside pubs. With a wealth of local amenities close by, Grosvenor House is the ideal place for a stay in the fine city of Norwich. 💛💚

  • From booking to checking in was an absolute dream! Jordan & Francine couldn't have been more accommodating if they tried! We were met at the entrance where we were then shown to the apartment and given a brief tour. The apartment instantly felt cosy and inviting and we spent a good few hours settling in before heading in to Norwich. We had a great nights sleep, too. We're looking forward to booking the apartment again for when we next visit Norwich!

Good sized double bedroom on ground floor in a nice family friendly detached chalet bungalow in lovely village of Drayton. We're 3 mins from nearest bus stop for City Centre.
The room is a double bedroom located on the ground floor overlooking the large back garden. The room has a double bed, wardrobe, drawers + a mirror, hair dryer & lamp to make you feel comfortable.
Drayton village has good pubs/restaurants, a quaint English Cafe as well as a new Dominos Takeaway. There is also a post office, bank, Pharmacy, Tescos store and a leisure centre within walking distance from home. There is a great ex-railway line that has been converted into a footpath all the way into the City (about 4 miles walk) which is very picturesque.
  • It’s my first experience with Airbnb ( used to go by booking.com) and Sean and his wife Nikki, are polite - they actually give preferences to me for all the utilities that are of common usage. That sometimes made me fell guilty - given the minimal amount they charge. As a first timer in uK , Sean took the burden of driving me through the neighborhood showing all the places and ways and modes to go my training center. I must say I get the feel of going back to my own home every day after my days at training center for last 2 weeks.

    Chencho2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sean was really easy to communicate with during the booking process. He was very flexible, which really helped and the room was perfect and comfortable! Lovely little chocolates on arrival and the perfect cup of tea the following morning...a great short stay!

    Mandakini2018-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in a quiet town on one of Norwich's converted railway lines (Marlow Way) offering a great walk/bike ride into the city, or out into the countryside. Sean and nikki are really kind and hospitable and they have a lovely family home. The room is big, the bed comfy and the cats curious! Highly recommended

Studio apartment in semi rural location with parking and private entrance. Walking distance to the Green Man Family Diner. Perfectly situated for any kind of break. We are just 10 minutes from the A47 and 15 minutes from Norwich and the Broads. NOTE - WE CURRENTLY HAVE EVERY INTENTION OF REMAINING OPEN FOR BOOKINGS. THE APARTMENT HAS A PRIVATE ENTRANCE AND NO CONTACT WITH US IS NECESSARY IF PREFERRED. THE APARTMENT WILL BE BLEACH CLEANED BETWEEN VISITS AND SANITATION PRODUCTS PROVIDED.
The apartment has been recently decorated to a good standard. It offers our guests use of the following - a wardrobe with full length mirror and hangers, 2 tub chairs with side table, coat and shoe rack, chest of drawers, king size bed with bedside cabinets, dining table and chairs, electric double hob (induction), combi microwave oven, fridge freezer, kettle, hairdryer, toaster, iron & board, private shower room and toilet, freeview tv, bookshelf, radio and CD stereo. There’s also now a small seating area in the garden for your use.
A very quiet, rural location so a car is advisable but cabs and public transport are available to and from either the city or Wroxham. Tesco Extra, Co-op and other stores are a short drive away along with some nice pubs and eateries. The recently renovated TFI Rackheath is now open with a bar, restaurant and carvery just a 2 minute walk. The Hilltop cafe just half a mile along the road is also highly recommended for a hearty breakfast.
  • Lovely apartment. Everything you could need for a long or short stay. Great amenities and essentials provided. Lovely little touches and friendly helpful hosts. Good location for the broads. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.

  • I have been staying at ZoeandGreg’s place each week since the start of the year. I couldn’t ask for better hosts and a better place to stay. It’s becoming a real home away from home. The little touches including flowers, eggs, milk and bottled water make you feel even more welcome. Zoe and Greg are great hosts and do anything they can to make the stay even better.

  • Recommend Zoe and Greg’s place completely. Very kind people and we couldn’t fault the stay. The place was very clean with great amenities and touches - the location was also perfect as it’s a short drive from Norwich and likewise the Broads. Lovely self-contained chalet getaway in Norwich, within walking distance of the city centre. En-suite shower room, fridge, microwave, tea and coffee-making facilities and kitchen basics.
The chalet is accessible through our driveway, meaning you'll be completely independent! It's setup with an en-suite shower room and has a microwave, fridge, kettle and kitchen basics. Tea, coffee and some milk provided. You'll also find useful information about the local area and things to do in and around Norwich.
Our street is quite and residential. There's a useful corner shop 25m away and Tesco and Lidl are about 10min walk away. 5min away you'll find the Fat Cat, a great local pub for craft beer and, just across the street from them, the Wolf and Social restaurant.

Woodside Lodge at Poolside Lodges: Our Woodside lodge is ideally suited for a couple wanting more space and use of a hot tub or a couple with children. We are a family run site with 3 lodges in total and offer clean, comfortable and good value accommodation with the added benefits of extra facilities that come with a larger site. We are located 15 minutes to Norwich City Centre and the Norfolk Broads - ideal for holidays or business.
Woodside lodge has a double bedroom, a twin room, open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area and a shower room. The lodge has a private patio area with hot tub. Parking is next to the lodge.
We are a 10 minute drive to Bewilderwood, a family orientated playground for young and old based in the woods... there are many slides, zip wires and tree houses (suitable for small children) The Norfolk Broads is a 15 minute drive, Wroxham being the heart of the Broads. Here you can hire boats, take walks in the beautiful countryside or simply sit back with a drink and enjoy the daily coming and goings on the water. The city of Norwich is a 15 minute drive where there is everything you could possibly want; architecture, parks, shopping - 2 large shopping centres and the Norwich Lanes hosts to lots of local and independent sellers and craft makers. Norwich has 3 cinemas, 2 trampoline parks and many indoor activity centres. The coast is a 25 minute drive - the best beaches being Sea Palling and Winterton-on-Sea.
  • We needed somewhere to stay near Caister, with a hot tub, as we knew we would have done a lot of driving and needed a couple of nights to relax before travelling home again. The lodge was perfect for us and our adult son. Pippa communicated quickly and was friendly. Steve greeted us when we got there and was really welcoming. Beds were surprisingly comfortable. The heating was efficient and effective and warmed the lodge quickly. The kitchen contained everything we needed and more. The hot tub was amazing! Even in the rain and cold - it was a perfect anitidote. It was hot and clean and Steve explained how to use it really clearly. The only thing we didn’t think about was bringing flip flops, sliders or crocs to walk from the tub to the lodge outside. Also, as it is tiled floor with rugs, you might want to bring slippers to keep your feet warm if it’s not a summer stay. The lodge is next to a busy road so the traffic can be quite loud if you are in the main bedroom, but that is a small price to pay for the luxury of the lodge with a hot tub. We will be back!

    Karen2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Pippa was a lovely host and the space was great for a night away. We came in February and had a great time, Pippa place is the kind of place you could thoroughly enjoy all year round.

  • Lyndsey is an excellent host. The room was comfortable and facilities very clean. Thank you!

  • Stayed at Lindsey's place for one night. A very nice place with an extremely welcoming host. A cozy room with a private bathroom. The place was clean and had everything I needed. A cute fluffy cat was more then friendly. Location was good too, a 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop and shops. Would definitely recommend for everyone and stay there again.

  • Great place to stay. Lyndsey is a helpful friendly host. The house is convenient to the city (walking distance) and on street parking is free. (Saves on expensive city car parks!) would highly recommend and would go back to stay if I m ever in Norwich again. Room and bathroom are simple but contemporary. Lyndsey opened her home and made me feel very welcome .

Part of a barn and stable complex, a picturesque converted brick and tile self contained annexe with en-suite, lobby with kitchenette and direct access to pretty shared courtyard garden with exotic plants and water feature. Location is unrivalled, set in the heart of the Broads National Park, two minute walk from Womack Water and river and five minutes to Ludham village pub and shop. Scenic river and marsh walks, nature trails, swimming pool, cycleways, beach and boat hire are all close by.
Accessed from the courtyard garden and comprises a kitchenette with fridge, sink, microwave, toaster, portable hob, tea and coffee making facilities. The bedroom and living space has double bed, chairs, breakfast table, storage and book shelf. The en-suite has it's own bath and shower, together with towels and toiletries. Under floor heating provides cosy warmth for early and late season visitors. You can be assured after each stay the annexe is thoroughly clinically cleansed throughout with medically approved cleaner and in this difficult time any wish to remain isolated will be respected.
This unique location is close to Womack Water and river and the pretty village of Ludham with thatched cottages, church, pub with restaurant, village store, butchers and tea room. Other attractions close by and within easy walking/cycling distance include historic St Bennets Abbey, How Hill Gardens and Nature Trail and only a short car journey away Wroxham Barns Craft Centre and the beautiful sandy beaches of the Norfolk coast. Horsey Gap is a real treat and probably the best place in Norfolk, particularly late October through to February, when the adult seals and seal pups can be seen in abundance. If you have the time these and many more are all well worth a visit.
  • Rupert’s place is a lovely find. It's in a sweet location, just up the road from the broads, and its set in a lovely garden space. We spent a weekend mostly on the water, but we were relaxed and happy when back and got some great nights sleep.

  • Special thanks to Rupert who was a fantastic host. Really friendly man who went above and beyond to make our stay great. Always had a nice chat and was happy to give us local recommendations. Great stay!

  • You will receive a friendly welcome, a warm and cosy cottage. It is spotlessly clean. In the bathroom there was plenty of hot water to soak in after a long walk. It was all beautifully furnished, with little extras that will add to you holiday. You can just leave the car safety in its own private space and head off for beautiful walks in the fens. The area is quiet and peaceful, the village is charming, the church looks thriving and all the cottages around delightful. There is even a butchers, village shop, tearooms, gift shop and a pub. Rupert will ensure that your holiday is a success!

  • This is a delightful place to stay for a few days. Rupert is a very friendly and helpful host, with lots of helpful tips and ideas about things to do in the surrounding area. There were some lovely touches and treats to make our visit special, as well as 'The stables' being clean, very comfortable and warm! We enjoyed being able to visit the seals on horsey beach and went for some lovely walks around the local area. We would highly recommend a stay here and would consider a return visit in the summer.

CORONA UPDATE Sorry to say, but as of today 18th March 2020, we are not taking any bookings before June, and even those will be subject to events. Solidarity and Good luck. Mike & Sheila. "Like sleeping on a cloud." Perhaps an exaggeration, but this room has a very comfortable bed and a view over the neighbourhood toward the gothic tower of St. John's Cathedral. Plus a single bed.
A large, cosy attic room; way up high, overlooking the peaceful street and beyond to the nearby cathedral. With its low angular ceilings and eclectic decor, it's a perfect hideaway for a couple, or large enough for a small family. The king-sized bed has been described as like "sleeping on a cloud," and there's a single bed tucked under the sloping ceiling too. There is even enough room to inflate an air mattress in this room to accommodate a larger family - (Airbandb actually began business with an air bed). This quiet, characterful room also has a bureau desk which makes it an ideal space from which to catch up on work or study We also have two other double rooms listed on AirB&B - The Island Room and The Red Room.
Our neighbourhood is really the heart of Norwich City itself. Our house is only 10 minutes walk from the city centre with its colourful market, historic buildings, arty lanes, commanding castle and vibrant shopping heaven. Even closer to home we have Unthank Road village about 2 minutes walk down the road where you will find a Tesco Express, Adnams Beer & Gift Shop, The Blue Joanna Bistro, The charming Pear Tree Inn, the William & Florence Gourmet Pub, The Unthank Kitchen Café, Indian and Chinese takeaways, a Subway Sandwich Shop, newsagent, pharmacy, greengrocers, butchers, baker, but sadly no candlestick makers. There are also at least 8 other pubs with 5 minutes walk of our place, more beyond that. If pubs aren't your thing, there is the imposing neo-gothic Roman Catholic cathedral just down the road.
  • Mike and Sheila are friendly and caring hosts. The room was comfortable and beautifully quaint.

    Rose2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Really charming house full of interesting bits & bobs, the hosts were incredibly friendly & helpful. The location is just a short walk from the city centre, very handy. Also loved meeting their lovely cats & dog 😊

A countryside retreat, Poppy Gig House was fully renovated in 2016 to the highest standards while still retaining lots of original charm and character. Set in Meeting Hill a Hamlet of the historical village of Worstead. Located just a short drive to the North Norfolk coast and Norfolk Broads. It is in an excellent position for walking or cycling with direct access to a network of footpaths and the popular long distance footpath of Weavers Way.
