It was a whistle stop visit on our way to Niagara from the White Mountains! As such we were unable to explore the area as much as we'd have liked. Christine was very accommodating, even after our later than expected arrival. The house is beautiful, the pictures on the listing don't do it justice! Breakfast the next morning was very tasty with a great selection available. If we were in the area again we would stay another night.

Christine was a wonderful host for our get-away weekend. We felt truly pampered and welcomed. Her place is amazingly majestic and magical. Definitely a five star BnB. I love a house with history and this is an historic location. She has done a great job restoring the house and it is beautifully maintained and spotless. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay. Though we had difficulty initially finding Christine's place, her welcome made up for our confusion. She made us feel at home and very welcome during the entire stay. The listing does not do justice to the home, which is totally awesome. A full continental breakfast was an unexpected treat.

Chris was very sweet and hospitable. She offered great suggestions on what to do in the area! She went above and beyond to ensure we had a great visit. Should I come to this area again, I would certainly stay here again.

What a fantastic place Christine has - a hidden gem in the lovely town of Broadalbin. Christine is sweet, caring and generous. Lots of complimentary products everywhere! She provides great breakfast and makes sure your stay is fantastic. The pool was lovely and the room is nice. Highly recommended!

Christine greeted us upon arrival and made our stay welcoming, comfortable and relaxed in all ways. This was a perfect choice for us to stay after a lovely anniversary dinner in Saratoga and a wonderful SPAC performance. We will definitely stay here again when in the area!

Christine was very nice, her house was very well decorated and taken care of. The room was very nice and clean with a lot of little nice things: sweets, snack, body lotion,... And the breakfast was really great.

Chris was a wonderful hostess! The house is a beautiful, old "grand" house with tons of charm. Chris met us upon arrival, showed us around the main floor, described the breakfast plan for the next day, and offered us a nice cold bottle of water and basket of complimentary snacks. The room and attached bath were lovely and very well maintained. She had provided a rotating fan (it was beautiful outside) and open windows or air conditioning. Overall, this was a terrific find and we would definitely come again.

Christine was a great host. She warmly welcomed us upon our arrival and gave us a quick tour of the house and our rooms. She provided us with everything we needed. Christine also greeted us each morning in the dining room where a nice light breakfast and coffee was waiting for us. Christine joined us for pleasant conversation each morning. The house was secluded and quiet, yet within walking distance from the village of Broadalbin.

Christine is a lovely hostess and her home is of a by gone era. We enjoyed the sun porch, with southern exposure for painting, reading and writing. The pool was sooo relaxing.

Christine was an excellent and attentive hostess. We called ahead and she was present to greet us upon arrival. She was pleasant and showed us in. Her home is large and has a beautiful driveway entrance lined with tall pines and lush lawns. The house dates back to the early 1900's and has a lovely fireplaced foyer, large comfortable living room with several sitting areas with books, large screen TV and DVD collection. Her formal dining room has all the amenities necessary to provide a healthy and delicious breakfast including blueberry muffins, fresh fruit, cereals, juice, coffee and yogurt. Our room was very spacious with high ceilings, a comfortable queen bed and a large updated master bathroom with plenty of extra towels and all sorts of extra toiletries. It also had an adjacent sitting room with reading chairs and vanity table and chair. For hot summer days, the room has air conditioning and a standing fan. There is also a large swimming pool available to guests with gazebo, chairs and beach towels. Christine makes an effort to make sure her guests have everything they need. We were in the area for a wedding nearby but found our 3 day stay restful and enjoyable!

We had stayed there for a couple of nights and everything was amazing. Our host provided everything we could you need including extra toiletries Maps. She also had a vast knowledge on the surrounding area and its activities. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Mary was responsive to questions and responded quickly. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Lake access is down the road about a quarter mile and lake isn't visible from the cabin. Overall we enjoyed our time there with my son and his wife.

Julio and Leila were fantastic hosts! The space was very clean and the location perfect for hiking in the Adirondacks and eating delicious food in the village of Broadalbin. Sitting in Julio's handmade Adirondack chairs watching the sunset over the Great Sacandaga Lake was a special treat. The room has such amazing history (including American flags with only 45 stars). The shower with FIVE shower heads was really neat too!

I stayed here over New Year's and it was the most serene, peaceful, and beautiful place to welcome a new year. The hospitality and warmth of the owners is much appreciated, and I would certainly recommend them! The Adirondacks is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, and there's truly no better place than anywhere with both water and mountains as the backdrop.

Julio & Frances are friendly and accommodating hosts, who shared interesting history of the property & local area. Living spaces were warm, comfortable & roomy. Loved the gas fireplace and all the lighting options. Lakeside location is perfect base for winter activities, snow kiting, cross country skiing, or ice fishing. Many nearby hiking trails to access. We had a great time doing different activities during the day & relaxing back at the house in the evenings. Look forward to another visit.

Book it! This family was incredible and with this being our first AirBnB experience we could only hope to have hosts like this in the future. This is the perfect place to unwind and we left knowing that we will surely be back.

The lake-front barn was absolutely wonderful! A short drive to Saratoga, relaxing by the fireplace in the evening, or sitting at the bar for breakfast. Truly a unique once-in-a-lifetime stay (and a hundred times better than staying in a hotel). Thanks!

What a great mini vacation spot and treat for us! The place was very well maintained and cozy, and was filled with tasteful new as well as interesting historical decor! We enjoyed a drive around the lake and visited local bars and restaurants the first night. Everyone was friendly, and the food and service were great! The beach was a short skip down a yard full of flower beds and soft grass. We grilled outside by the beach the following day, relaxed on the beautiful Adirondack furniture, and marveled at a brilliant sunset. The beds were soft and inviting. Our host, Julio, responded quickly to any questions, concerns or requests that we had, our communication was via txt. We highly recommend you consider staying here if traveling this way. We would certainly stay again! It was not apparent based on the property description that Julio and Leila's residence are attached to the property. Hopefully, we did not disturb them, and they gave us total privacy.

This was my second time staying with the Vieras in their beautiful converted bar/barn in Broadalbin, and they were every bit as welcoming and helpful as the first time. I'm sure I'll be back for my third stay soon!

So we were Carol's FIRST guests, which was equally exciting and nerve racking. Fortunately Carol and her husband Ed were AMAZING. They walked my partner and I around the house and throughly explained how to operate every inch and crevice of the property (which was extremely helpful as my guests and I used just about every amenity in the space). We were greeted with a warm and inclusive welcome that included a very thorough information packet that listed local restaurants, attractions, and surrounding areas. The space is absolutely Gorgeous, and the master suite was to die for. We used the grill, the stove, the barn fire (first time making s'mores) and had drinks in the outside seating area. We enjoyed sun, the nature, and the beautiful view of the lake. They left us access to a good amount of food, and invited us to use whatever we wanted. Because I was celebrating my birthday, Carol and Ed both left a beautiful hand written card that was attached to a small personal bottle of champagne, which was a nice touch. In fairness, if I had to find one thing to knack about, it would be the fact that the jets didn't work too well on the spa tub (which they were extremely transparent about in the initial tour). Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would DEFINITELY stay again. We would recommend this space to any and EVERYONE! Its priced very fairly and Has a pretty "mid-century modern" vibe with a bit of traditional charm. 2 thumbs up!

This was my first time using Airbnb! Although I was unaware that the home owner lived on the property during the rental period, I had a great experience! Kate was a wonderful host. She offered my friends and I ideas of places to go and things to do. We felt comfortable making ourselves at home. Camp Acorn is beautiful and spacious. The lake is relaxing and we spent a lot of our time outdoors. We enjoyed using the fire pit for bonfires at night and also using the canoe to be out on the lake. Renting time at Camp Acorn suited our trip much better than staying at a hotel. I would recommend Camp Acorn to any travelers looking for a hosted getaway around the southern Adirondacks!

Felt very welcome on the phone and during stay... only slight glitch was two of us came there early just to find and see the place, and then took off for our conference, without meeting our hosts, but did meet some of their family Then we all finally arrived around 9 or 9:30 as we had mentioned. We were a little confused on arrival as no clear note etc. to advise or welcome us & hosts came much later, so things could have been smoother. Thank goodness two of us did come early, as it might have been a challenge to find and locate everything in the dark, but the first 2 showed us the way. It would have been helpful to know our hosts were away til later that night, as did wonder if we should check next door. Once staying there, however, it was excellent and hosts were most gracious and warm. Fine breakfast with fresh fruit and various options. Beds very comfortable and the accomodations excellent as well. We all wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the water, views, grounds, etc., but had to dash off to our conference again. I would certainly recommend this to others. The place is beautiful both inside and out and fun to be right on the lake. Thanks Kate and your family for having this place and sharing it as warmly as you do.

We ended up getting there later than planned because of traffic, so sadly we ended up missing Kate and Pete during our one-night stay, but Kate was responsive and available by phone to walk us through the house when we arrived. She made sure we had everything we needed! The house was really lovely and well kept, and full of a lot of super welcoming touches to make us feel at home. We took advantage of the grill and enjoyed eating out on the big deck. The location was beautiful and relaxing, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a lake house experience in the Adirondacks!

We had a wonderful stay at Camp Acorn. Kate was so helpful and accommodating, she even made the house baby friendly for us. Everything was perfect for our stay and any questions we had were answered quickly. We loved the welcome gifts in the bedroom too. We hope to return soon.

We had such a delightful experience at Camp Acorn. The house is on a lake in a secluded area so it's peaceful and quiet, yet restaurants and stores are easily accessed. It is very well maintained and clean. Kate and Pete made us feel welcome and comfortable from the beginning. Eagles have a nest nearby so we got to watch some of their activity with binoculars. We left feeling refreshed. : )

Kate was a terrific host. She was easy to communicate with, her home is spotless and comfortable, and the setting is gorgeous! Would absolutely stay again.

This house was perfect for a weekend get away! We had a little trouble finding the dock space but the owner and neighbors were all so helpful. The house was very clean and had everything you needed and more!

Very clean comfortable house to stay at, owner was attentive to our needs. The dock was difficult to find but if you read the welcome binder the instructions are there and easy to follow. The keyless entry was a very nice feature. Overall a great place to spend some time with family or friends!

I would recommend staying at Kelly's lake home on the Sacandaga to anyone. My family and I enjoyed every minute! The home was clean, in a great location, and the views of the lake from the deck are beautiful! My children (4 and 2) loved the private beach area. Even though it was a shared beach we only saw one other person down the way the entire stay so it was very peaceful and quiet. Kelly provides many extras such as towels, linens and washer/dryer. With two young children, this was a great bonus for us. We were able to pack in a lot of day trips to surrounding beaches and attractions! Kelly was very responsive with questions and I always got a text/email almost immediately! Great owner and great property!

We really enjoyed our stay at Karen and Terry's house. The neighborhood is very nice, the lake is beautiful and warm enough to swim. We loved having kayaks for our use. We also biked around the lake almost every day. The house (particularly the kitchen) is well stocked with everything you need. They even provide toiletries which is unusual in my experience. The beds are comfortable with nice sleeping pillows- something I really appreciate! House is convenient to Saratoga and other smaller towns if you want to go shopping. Overall, I would highly recommend this house!

One of my best Airbnb experiences ever! Beautiful house, equipped with everything you need (including a great sound system!) and a lake at the back yard. Who needs more? You even have top fishing equipment and boats! Beside that, Karen and Terry were adorable and accessible hosts who had answers to all our needs and questions (though I still dont believe Terry anyone ever caught a fish out there at the lake...). Really recommended and personally - I can't wait to get back there.

We had a great time at Karen and Terry's Lake front house. Its a beautiful house with a gorgeous view of the lake. The best part for us was kayaking in the lake. Wish we had more time to enjoy this lovely home.

We were a family of five staying at Karen and Terry's beautiful home. We felt right at home. The house was clean, beds were comfortable, and the house had everything we needed and then some. There's even a closet full of board games which we took advantage of. The view of the lake from the house is beautiful and relaxing. We used the kayaks and had a great time. Karen and Terry are very nice people and great hosts. We hope to return in the fall and summer.

Great quiet lake front house! Karen and her husband made us feel welcome the second we arrived. Kid friendly, many water activities and a big yard. Also, 3 days in a row winning at the track so we will be back!

We enjoyed our stay at Galway Lake very much. From the moment we arrived, Karen and Terry made us feel very welcome and were available in the event we needed anything. The house is fully appointed and very spacious with a beautiful back deck where you can grill, dine, hang out and enjoy the views of the lake. There are kayaks available for use, however we had our own with us. The lake is large enough to enjoy paddling. The property is quite nice with a fire pit, a beautiful garden area and a special tea house to enjoy if it is buggy outside. We went out for dinner one night at the Village Pizza which was good. We hope to return again in the future. Thank you!

The house is so comfy and cozy and the view is breathtaking. We went up mid October as the leaves were changing color and it couldn't have been more perfect. Karen and Terry were there right as we arrived to give us a little tour and explain the nuances of the house. Couldn't recommend this place more if you're looking for a quite place to stay with an amazing view.
