Check in was at 2 but we asked if we can come later. We told them 7 but were having a good time at my cousins house so stayed later and they totally understood. We were a little confused when we got there. The address is 11 Glengarrif rd but you enter in the building 13 glengarriff rd. It probably would of been easier if we went during the business hours of the store. The room and bathroom was very clean and she left toiletries for us! and water!!!

Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr zentral. In wenigen Minutem zu Fuß am Supermarkt oder im Zentrum von Bantry. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und es hat einen Kamin den ich sehr genossen habe. Die Küche hat alles was man braucht inkl. Salz und Pfeffer. Sehr gut schallgedämpfte Fenster. Ich habe mich sofort wohl in dem kleinen Häuschen gefühlt. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Le logement est bien placé pour visiter les presqu'iles du sud de l'Irlande, régions magnifique. La maison est suffisamment spacieuse pour 2 personnes. Et son rapport qualité-prix est très correct

This house was an excellent find. Conveniently located for day trips to Sheep's Head Way, Mizen Head, the most spectacular hikes and scenic drives. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Tom and Sheila live nearby and are accessible if a need should arise, but our stay was quiet and relaxing.

Great host, we had a very enjoyable time in Bantry, and wish we could have stayed longer! It was great having the house to ourselves and great having the backyard for storage. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Thank you for a lovely experience at Bantry. The house was lovely with lots of little touches that made it feel like home. The pantry was well stocked with basics that allowed us to cook decent meals at home.

Myself and my boyfriend loved our 3 night stay in Thomas and Sheila's house. Not only was there candles lighting with Xmas decorations on the fireplace but there was homemade mince pies for our arrival. The house was spotlessly clean with plenty of towels, bedlinen and a well stocked kitchen (saucepans, coffee plunger etc). Even though it was a cold time of year, the house stayed surprisingly warm especially when we lit the open fire with the supplied fire logs. One night we had a small issue with the shower and Thomas and Sheila were at the house within 5 mins to sort it out. The location is perfect as it is only a 5 minute walk to town (and bus stop) so you would not necessarily need a car.

A very enjoyable stay from very welcoming hosts. It is a great base from which to tour the Atlantic coastal sites and the beautiful and interesting areas of west Cork and south Kerry. Walking distance into town centre and harbour; easy parking. Staying in the property was like "home from home". We will spread the word to our friends and relatives, and very much recommend Thomas and Sheila's home.

This house is a perfect place to have a home away from home experience. Thomas & Sheila are great hosts always providing info on local amenities if asked. They also have a handy info bookcase in the house with leaflets for all the local tours & services/restaurants etc. My recent stay with them was my second time and it is safe to say I will be back again.

The faculties were very comfortable and provided convenient access to the town, and a great base from which to explore the country side around. It was good value for money and we wouldn't hesitate to book again if we go back that way.. Thomas and Sheila were attentive and quick to respond to any inquiries.

This house exceeded our expectations for our 3 night stay in Bantry. As I was attending a workshop I wanted a home away from home. Thomas made me and my friend feel very welcome. The area is very close to the town with a shop just around the corner. We found the neighborhood safe and quiet. A cosy fire was a great bonus and the house was spotless as was the backyard.

Diarmaid was very helpful and friendly. We were especially impressed that he was so considerate e.g. he let us know that checkout time was flexible on this occasion. As it happens we were ready to go in time anyway but its the gesture that meant so much. The property is a secluded oasis right in the middle of Bantry town. Bantry is such a lovely place, and a wonderful base from which to tour around the multitude of places to see locally. One hidden gem is the Borlin Valley. Certainly delighted we found this property and happily recommend it to others.

Diarmaids house was very comfortable, size wise and bed wise. It's up a steep lane but has an outdoor area that is private and pleasant. Everything was as it is in the pictures- Bantry was a great town for us- music at the end of the lane nightly and very good restaurants .

What a find! We were looking for somewhere to stay in the Southwest of Ireland during our tour of the country and could not have chosen a better place! Diarmaid's cottage is beautiful, spacious and quiet while still being right in the centre of town and thus easy to get to everything. We had a wonderful stay and were met with an efficient and informative check-in. Diarmaid was available for any questions and had lots of information ready for us when we arrived. Bantry itself is so cute. What a picturesque little town on the coast. Must-do's are Bantry House and a wander around the town. The local tourism office is really wonderful and there are daily heritage tours so you can find out a bit more information about the area while you're there. I hope to return again!

Brendan and Bridget are very lovely people. They made us feel like we were home! We enjoyed pleasant conversations with Bridget. The room was as described. Easy walk to the city center (about 5min). The breakfast was generous, Bridget even cooked us porridge and eggs, which was genuinely nice! We slept well thanks to their confortable bed and quiet place. We would recommend this place to everybody looking for a good sleep after a big day (the ring of Kerry for example).

From the moment I met Bridget and later on Brendan it was a warm welcome. They are very kind, helpful and interested hosts. The new bathroom is superb and the private room is cozy, with enough light and fresh air. On top of it all, they gave me a lift te Kenmare. Absolutely recommended!

The mews house was great. Very stylish and spotlessly clean. Catherine was very helpful, and had good recommendations of local places to eat and drink. As the location was very central, there was noise from a nearby pub until 1am on the Saturday night, but that was to be expected if you wanted somewhere which was so handy for walking around. There was no noise on the Friday night. I would certainly recommend staying here.

Not much to say that hasn't been said in previous reviews really. Everything is as described and Catherine is an excellent host. The location is brilliant, just off the main square in Bantry with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. Despite that, the location is quiet and parking doesn't seem to be a problem (unless you're not that great at hill starts). Highlights of our short stay in the area: the boat trip to Whiddy Island (where you can hire bikes) and the Lighthouse Loop at the Sheep's Head.

Beautiful apartment, as nice if not nicer than the photographs! Catherine was very welcoming to my family, and so accommodating about meeting them on arrival to let them in. The place was spotless! And Catherine had tea, coffee, milk and fruit left out which was such a lovely gesture. I have already recommended it to others. The apartment is in the centre of town but away from any noise from the street, walking distance to everything and very safe. A perfect place to stay!

Das Haus war einfach perfekt. Wir sind zu dritt gereist und hatten jede Menge Platz. Die Zimmer sind großzügig, sehr hell, modern und neu eingerichtet. Die Ausstattung hatte alles zu bieten, was wir uns wünschen konnten, um einen entspannten Urlaub zu verbringen. Auch ausgedehnten Kochabenden stand in der modernen Küche nichts im Weg. Die Lage mitten in Bantry war wunderbar. Man hat in unmittelbarer Laufweite einen großzügig ausgestatteten Supermarkt, Geschäfte aller Art, Cafés, Restaurants und natürlich Pubs mit Live Musik. Auf dem Marktplatz, der wirklich direkt um die Ecke liegt, findet jeden Freitag ein schöner Markt statt. Der Ort selbst liegt malerisch zwischen Hügeln direkt am Wasser an der Bantry Bay. Empfehlenswert ist es, direkt am Flughafen ein Auto zu mieten, denn so lässt sich die Umgebung am besten erkunden. Die Landschaft mit den zerklüfteten Halbinseln direkt am Atlantik ist einfach atemberaubend schön und bietet jede Menge Ausflugsziele. Vielen Dank für alles, Catherine! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall irgendwann wieder!!!

We were made to feel very welcome, and the host was easily contactable. We had breakfast items available and the heating was turned on for our arrival. We arrived quite late and the host was able to greet us. The cottage needed some airing when we arrived perhaps it hadn't been used over the winter months, and there were a few cobwebs here and there. The location was excellent - very close to town and the bay which is what we wanted, And the price was quite reasonable.

This cottage was absolutely perfect for my family's needs. It is in a great location for exploring beautiful Bantry and is very comfortable. I think the pictures dont do the place justice. it was very neat and clean with a lovely kitchen area. Maureen was so accomodating that she tracked down a baby cot for my 8 month old to sleep in so that we wouldn't have to bring our own. She was very responsive to all my messages and inquiries. We got a little lost trying to find the cottage just using GPS, but Maureen's directions on th site were spot on and led us right to the front door. We would definitely stay here again if we came to the area again.

I can't praise Maureen's place and her hosting skills enough! We were met on time, taken to the house and shown how the heating etc worked. It was home from home! We had brought toiletries etc but Maureen had provided these plus cooking oil sauces washing powder etc for those who didn't. Location was fantastic right in town centre with a side yard for kids to play safely, house was warm and cosy free wifi was handy and bedrooms spacious. We will Definately stay again thank you Maureen

I would highly recommend staying at Maureen's house. A lovely house of a perfect size and in a great condition. Large kitchen/diner, good sized livingroom, two large bedrooms which both have ensuite! Also a third toilet downstairs, large paved area that's sheltered but gets the sun so is great for drying clothes, there's also a good washing machine and dryer. A fantastic wi-fi signal is free to use! The house itself is in a fantastic position in Bantry, just off the main square so is great for parking up after a hard days exploring and sampling an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants. All in all I would highly recommend staying here!

Maureen's house was absolutely perfect - clean, spacious, bright and sunny. The kitchen is well-equipped and it was so nice to have the washer and dryer given the wet weather at the time. The house is very central and only a minute or so from a beautiful walk along the sea, pubs, the Tourist info centre, the market on Fridays and more. We were able to do everything on foot. We arrived later than expected but were met with a warm welcome from Robert who guided us from the nearby church to the house and then showed us around the house. We hope to come back!

This apartment is really well equipped for you to enjoy your stay and is centrally located in the heart of Bantry town. There is no designated parking space but there is free parking in Bantry, getting parked was never an issue. The apartment itself was very quirky and had loads of charm to it. Our only gripe was that we were a party of 4, and would question if this is a 2 bedroom apartment - the smaller bedroom has no door and is in-between the living room and stairs to the larger bedroom shown in pictures. The bedroom with the futon has approx. 50cm on the two corners against a wall, meaning on top of having no door there was little space for getting dressed or having any belongings in the room with us. Would not recommend this apartment for more than two adults. However, all other rooms were really well equipped and comfy!

Conor's place ticked all the boxes for our 2 night stay, it was immaculate- newly renovated, comfortable beds, baby friendly ( I was travelling with my one year old), great little kitchen (usefully stoked up with the basics, oil,butter, tea, coffee, washing up liq etc), lovely central location right opposite the water wheel, a handy shop round the corner along with lovely cafe and quirky pub. Couldn't have asked for more. We had a wonderful stay and Conor was very quick to answer any questions we had before and during our trip. Highly recommend and great value for money. This apartment is in a great location in Bantry. It is decorated to a high standard and very comfortable. The living room and kitchen is very spacious and the bedrooms are equally sized. Bantry itself is a lovely small town with a few shops, pubs, places to eat. For us it was extremely well located between other towns where we were visiting family and not too far from airport. The communication between Conor and us was very good and friendly. The only slight criticism is that the water pressure in the shower is very low! Other than that we had a great stay and we hope to stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay in Bantry at the Bluebell Cottage. The cottage is in a walkable location, central to all the pubs and restaurants in town - which made our stay most enjoyable. Robert was more then helpful in ensuring that we were well informed on the must see restaurants/activities within the West cork area. Overall, I would highly recommend a stay at this B&B if you are in the Bantry area.

We spent five nights in Roberts lovely cottage. It's really lovely, very much like a home and with funny details such as his collection of horror movies. When we arrived, Roberts friend Zora had left the key in a secure place so we could get into the house very late at night without anyone having to be there. That was very comfortable. There was an instruction sheet with information on everything, so we easily washed our clothes etc. We spent our days sleeping in the comfy beds (the location is definitely quiet), having extended breakfast (buy "Mum's bread" and scones at "Box of Frogs" café!), preparing incredible fish for lunch and walking or driving around the really beautiful landscape nearby (we recommend trekking on Sheeps Head and walking through Glengarriff Nature Reserve). Bantry itself is sleepy but nice - one night we had some drinks at "Ma Murphy's" pub, where we were almost invited to a wedding the next day. Altogether we really felt at home in your home, Robert - thanks a lot for sharing it with us!

We had a lovely stay at Bluebell Cottage. Robert made sure we had everything our family of five (including three small kids) needed and the cottage was spacious enough for all of us. The cottage is in a rural location next to a farm, but only a couple of minutes walk from the shops and everything Bantry has to offer. There are lots of local pubs serving fantastic food and the people of Cork must be the friendliest in the world! The lady in the tourist office was incredibly helpful and the walk along the river she recommended was one of our favourite things. Such a lovely, mountainous area. We'd recommend going to Bantry House if it's open. Loved hearing the story of the family there and it has a great tea room. All in all, a great stay.

We fell in love with Bluebell Cottage.We were met by Robert's charming property manager"Zora" who was great about explaining,and showing us how the Cottage functions.Robert had a lovely bottle of wine waiting for us on dinning table,and a stack of books,brochures,and maps perfect for first time Visitors to Ireland. Cottage is so Cozy, cute, comfortable,and charming ! Robert and Zora both were very easy to contact by email,with quick responses .We stayed for a month at Bluebell,and were sad to leave.

We had an excellent time staying at Bluebell Cottage over Christmas. Robert's home is authentic, intimate, homey and exactly what we hoped for. We cooked frequently and the kitchen is well appointed. The cottage is a short walk down hill into the Bantry shopping/eatery/pub district. Robert met us upon arrival and provided complete instructions on the house. Just an extremely positive experience. This was the first time we stayed in a real Irish Cottage with the thick stone walls, slate roof, and and fireplace. The bedrooms were wonderful. One of them had its own deck right off the second floor. This Cottage was built into the hill that surrounds the town of Bantry. The Ambiance was just so Charming. We used the writing desk to plan our trips every day. Perfect light to read maps by. Just a short walk to the Quay with its shops pubs and restaurants. We hope we will be able to stay there again on our next trip to southern Ireland.

Rita was away when we stayed but her husband rob and son josh looked after us excellently ,their home is just outside bantry in a lovely area and the loft area where we stayed is perfect,before we left in the morning josh made the most beautiful pancakes and tea which was much appreciated ,would recommend their home to everyone

Just back from an amazing chamber music festival in Bantry and stayed in Rob and Rita's loft bedroom. It's a lovely split level room. The double bed is comfy, low to the floor and on the top level with a door off this to the en-suite. Great view from the bathroom of the garden and the hens which provide eggs for breakfast and pancakes. Great shower but take care hot water very hot! Down three steps there's a sitting area with sofa, loads of great books, helpful maps and instructions for the wifi which worked really well as I was able to send emails and finish off some work. There's also a tray with tea coffee and water glasses and plenty of sockets to charge your phone and dry your hair with the hair dryer supplied. I was very lazy in the morning and stayed in bed luxuriating in strong cotton sheets admiring the handiwork in the ceiling of this all wooden room that felt like being in the cabin of a sailing boat. Rob and Rita are great hosts, generous with their time and easygoing. They live such interesting lives there was lots to chat about. I stayed four nights and had fresh orange juice and pancakes for breakfast and on Sunday a poached egg. If you are going to an event in Bantry its 5 minutes down the road by car. On leaving I was waved off by the whole family including Bailey the dog. Great place stay!

To be honest, I had some trouble finding the house, but when I finally arrived I was given a really warm welcome! Rita and her family are so nice, friendly and helpful and I had some really great chats with them. I really felt at home! The house is located in a really tranquil area, so it's a great place to just sit down and relax, but also only a few km away from Bantry town where you can find some nice Pubs. I was also given some really great tips where to go or what to see and Rob's pancakes in the morning were sooo delicious! The room itself is really clean and cosy and I loved staying there! Highly recommended - I'd love to come back!

Lovely relaxing stay in the beautiful Cork countryside just off the Wild Atlantic Way. Rita and Rob went out of their way to make sure I arrived safely and was sent off with a full stomach. Rob has created a great little hideaway in their family home, great Irish hospitality.

They are the just the nicest people you'll ever meet. I ended up in hospital on the day we were meant to check-in and they waited up half the night to meet us. The breakfast pancakes are to die for too.

This is an incredible find in Bantry. Wonderful location beside the best craft shops and cafes. Amazingly quiet. Gorgeous big room with view over garden and private bathroom with claw foot bath. Maureen is a perfect host, she makes you feel utterly at home. We will be back!

We enjoyed returning to Angela's cute maisonette at the end of each day during our stay. It was so relaxing and peaceful, Angela was very thoughtful and kind, leaving us a little card, scones and milk on arrival. We definitely recommend Angela's place, thank you for having us.
