  • This was such a beautiful place to stay. The house was incredible and in a perfect location. The hot tubs and saunas were a very welcome addition and very clear instructions on how to use them were included which was really helpful. John was available on the phone and very responsive. We had a fantastic time!

The surrounding areas are beautiful too. Highly recommend eating at the Higher Buck in waddington also. John was very good at communicating from the start of the reservation and very helpful.

  • If you want a place to relax, feel cosey but in a luxurious well maintained property look no further, you will no doubt love the indoor heated pool that’s all yours! With a stylish mini pad above that my teenage son found amazing, the log fire in the cottage kept us all warm and happy with large glass of wine in hand just chilling out, it was a great holiday and sad it wasn’t longer, but we will definitely book again!

  • We had a fantastic time at this beautiful and quaint cottage (with the added benefit of the pool house and hot tub). Couldn't fault the place at all, it exceeded our expectations. My five-year-old niece loved the pool, and we had a job of getting her to get out when it was time for bed! The house has fantastic amenities, and the added special treats from the host were well received and appreciated (wine for the adults and treats for the children). The cottage does feel like it is in the middle of nowhere, but this was ideal for our family weekend away. The two neighbouring cottages were friendly too. The cottage is ideally placed for going on long or short walks in the surrounding countryside. Plenty of farm animals to be seen! We took our own provisions, as the nearest shop is roughly a 20-minute drive away, but the cottage does have some existing provisions (tea, coffee, sugar etc). The towels and robes were greatly appreciated too. The house is well decorated, with some quirky accents (teapots) and really add to the farmhouse/cottage vibes. There are plenty of board games and quizzes to keep you busy on wet days, as well as the games room at the back of the property. The toy/ play area is also brilliant for children, again my five-year old-niece loved it. We would definitely stay again given the chance. Well worth the money!

  • We stayed at David's place for a long weekend to celebrate a birthday with family. The place is fantastic, facilities are on point, would highly recommend. David is ane excellent host, rapid replies, gives you all the information you need way in advance. Highly recommended!

  • Great house with loads to do and the pub down the road served brilliant food

    Thomas2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful family break at David’s cottage. Despite the horrendous weather, we had a fantastic time as there was so much to do. There are lots of beautiful walks accessible from outside of the front door and great amenities to enjoy at the cottage when we got back or if we just wanted to relax. We have a 10 year old who really enjoyed the pool and we all made very good use of the hot tub. There were lots of games, books and DVDs provided (which we didn’t actually need as the tv didn’t go on once). You really couldn’t ask for more to do here. Any issues we had (mainly due to the weather) were sorted out extremely quickly and David replied to messages within minutes. The only problem was that we wish we had longer! We will definitely be back!

    Eleanor2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great relaxing stay. The pool was amazing.

    Carol2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • The property was just as described and was all we hoped for and more. There was 5 adults and 2 children aged 8 and 10 we all had an amazing time making great use of the pool and hot tub. The cottage was very spacious and had a lovely home from home feel with log fire and farm house kitchen. The children were kept occupied with all the toys and games, while the adults appreciated the complimentary wine and biscuits. Being being to walk to the local pub for a delicious sunday lunch was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

  • We had a wonderful time in Peters cottage. A quiet and peaceful location but so easy to get to from the M6 and 5 minutes from Sedburgh. The whole place was clean and looked lovely and the rooms were spacious. The hot tub was clean and good for the evenings, and when it was too cold we had the log burner going to. The scenery nearby is beautiful. Would definitely stay again, thanks Peter!

You I had great times being a guest through airbnb before I began hosting and I want my guests to have a great time being here too. I like meeting people and finding out about their lives and travels. I live separately so guests can relax and enjoy the privacy of their own home from home. But I'm also only next door so I'm usually on hand to offer advice about places to go or if you need help or there is anything which needs sorting out. I also have friends who help me with cleaning and they are close by too if by any chance I'm out of town. Kendal is a market town on the edge of the Lake District. • Very nice spacious ground floor of big Victorian house near Kendal centre. Lovely walk up to castle behind house and across river at bottom of road. Comfy beds, nice big kitchen, lovely and warm. Friendly helpful co-host Merv was on site and nice touches included lovely loaf, jam and milk. Highly recommended

    Pete2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts left us bread and milk which was fantastic for when we arrived. There was lots of space in the living room and two double bedrooms. Kitchen is fully equipped and the location is great for a short walk into the middle of town. Really recommend it.

  • Lovely space suitable for a small family located seconds away from Kendal Castle and a stones throw to the town centre, just what we were after. Also if your looking for a place to stay with small animals this is a perfect place. Little Bruce our French bulldog loved his time too. Rachel’s Kendal retreat get the thumbs up from me.

  • Rachel’s place was perfect for us. The accommodation was situated in a quiet road about 10 minutes’ walk to the centre of Kendal. It was warm, cosy, exceptionally clean and beautifully furnished with little quirky touches. Kendal is a lovely little town with plenty of choice for eating and drinking. We had a lovely time and will definitely return.

  • We had a really nice time, the accommodation was as advertised, clean, and comfortable. The fire / heater gave it a really nice touch in the dark winter nights, and Settle is also a lovely place to stay and take in the views, or venture out for a walk. The nearby Gordale Scar is just a short drive away and is well worth a visit!

    Tom2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • The barn conversion is well done, really cosy, stylishly decorated and well equipped for preparing meals. A great place to stay whatever the time of year, has a lovely small outside area which would be great in warm weather. Yorkshire is a beautiful county and the people are so friendly. Settle has a couple of pubs and nice bars, choice of pub food, recently opened tapas place and an amazing Indian to eat in or takeaway. We parked in the town, generally it's difficult to park in Settle as it was never meant for cars. That's not a criticism it's just so people know. Definitely would recommend.

  • Great place to stay. Versatile, pleasant surrounding. Ideal for visiting Settle or embarking on the 3 peaks challenge!

    Andrew2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • In a picturesque spot near the top of the village of Settle. Amazing views from the balcony. Space nicely laid out to allow my family of 6 to spread out. You have to sort out street parking on some narrow streets or park down below in town if desired, but we never found it to be difficult.

    Sheref2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great space! We stayed here as a couple, and it still felt nice and cosy even though it sleeps up to 7. The balcony is a lovely spot to enjoy your morning coffee, and the views are incredible. The parking space was a little tight, but we soon got used to it. I imagine it would be difficult with a bigger car though. The town is a very short walk down a steep hill, and has some lovely little cafes, pubs and antique shops to visit. We loved the decor of this place, and the bed was very comfy! We’ll definitely be back to stay again some time!

  • This is a delightful property, beautifully restored and very comfortable. The upstairs kitchen/dining/sitting area is especially welcoming with lovely views over the river. We only stayed a weekend but wished oit was longer and have every intention of returning! Jesca was also a very friendly and helpful host

  • Lovely place to have a break lots to do will recommend this place will be going back in the summer

    Aftab 2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jesca’s place was perfect for our needs, spotless, well equipped, and in a beautiful location. Jesca was very easy to communicate with, our booking was at short notice, however the booking was completed promptly without fuss. Jesca’s customer standards are high. She informed me of a very minor omission from the advertised facilities. I would not have noticed and had I done so certainly not complained, such was my very favourable impression of her property. Nonetheless, without my bidding Jesca gave me a rebate to compensate my ‘inconvenience’. Quality service, highly recommended.

Our newly converted cottage is located 50 yards from the centre of Settle which has a excellent range of restaurants, pubs and shops. The location, although central, is only yards from the National Park with stunning walks from the front door. Registry Cottage has 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom. The lounge/kitchen is on the first floor, which makes the most of the great views. There is also a relaxed seated mezzanine area. We are dog friendly.
The large upstairs space is vaulted with very tall windows bringing in masses of light. Above the kitchen there is a mezzanine area with two large armchairs and table with games, great for kids to do their own thing or adults to relax. The bedrooms are both very cosy and comfortable, the master bedroom has a comfortable chair for reading. The cottage (converted from the towns registry office) with all it's interesting features has been a real labour of love and we are extremely proud of it. N. B. During this difficult period we have altered our cleaning regime to pay extra attention (using disinfectant and steam cleaners) to areas that are touched regularly, such as doorknobs, drawer pulls, the toilet flush lever, faucet handles, remote controls, light switches, seating areas, etc. We have also supplied the cottage with plenty of tissue, disposable paper towels and hand soap. If there are any additional safeguards you require please don't hesitate to contact us.
  • Super space extremely well located in the middle of Settle. 50 metres from Talbot pub that does good filling dinners useful after a days walking. The flat has a feeling of space and is well equipped. Would go again if we can find the time.

  • I recently spent a couple of nights at a Bruce’s Cottage in the centre of Settle and really enjoyed my stay . The cottage is really well designed and comfortable and Bruce was a great host , he had very kindly switched the heating on and left milk and biscuits so I could make a brew when I arrived . Very much appreciated after a challenging drive up in the rain ! The cottage is ideally situated within the village and for exploring the wonderful countryside in the area . Will definitely be back !

  • We had to cancel at the last minute due to ill health, Bruce responded really quickly to our enquires and was very helpful. We were very disappointed not to be able to stay in upside down in Settle.

  • A lovely place to stay in Yorkshire.

    Joel2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • What can I say about The Barn that hasn’t been said already? It has been by far the most perfect Air Bnb experience we have ever had. Warm and comfortable with all the amenities you need. Jill is a wonderful host - always at hand when we had a question. The Barn is in a great location, just a 15 min drive into Settle (where there are plenty of pubs and shops - we also picked up a lovely Indian one night) and more importantly close to outstanding views and walks in the North Yorkshire countryside. We just loved every minute. Can’t wait to book again. Thank you!

  • Fantastic place, warm and very well kitted out. Good location for walking in the dales and meeting old friends.

    Peter2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jill and John have made considerable effort to create a comfortable and stylish barn conversion. We immediately felt at home and a bit spoilt! A nice surprise was to look out in the evenings and see lots of stars in this dark sky location. Within a short drive are great places to see in both the Forest of Bowland AONB and the Yorkshire Dales national park. We also appreciated the stream that runs through the garden. As a couple, we had everything we needed for a relaxing couple of days.

    John2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely, cosy place to stay. We felt at home immediately and would love to visit again at some point. The barn is very clean and full of lovely extra touches.

  • We had an excellent 5 night stay at this lovely bungalow/cottage. It is spacious, well furnished and spotlessly clean. Beds are very comfortable, plenty wardrobe and drawer space, soft blankets, lots of towels. We loved that all basic items, such as washing liquid, cleaning products, bin bags, dish cloths, foil, condiments and spices, tea, coffee, sugar etc are already in the house. Very private garden area and beautiful views from kitchen. Location was perfect for us to visit Hawes, Ingleton, Skipton, Settle and some lovely smaller villages. We met the hosts Steve and Tina who made it clear that they are happy to help with anything that may be needed. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to stay again.

  • Had a perfect stay in this lovely cottage, couldn't recommend it higher

    Nathan2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a brilliant cottage. I’d give it six stars if I could. The location is good for doing any (or all) of the three peaks or for going on the Settle/Carlisle railway or for general sightseeing. The cottage itself is terrific. Spacious and with a lovely modern decor, it is very comfortable with nice bed linens and lovely towels. We were there as a couple but it would equally suit two couples or a family. Lots of hanging and drawer space. It has the best kitchen equipment I’ve found in an Airbnb. As well as a lovely welcome gift, Steve and Tina had thought of all the things you might need including for example a full set of herbs and spices. The cottage has spectacular views from every window and is wrapped round by a massive patio with two sets of garden furniture plus bbq and fire pit. I didn’t want to leave!

    Annette2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place to stay in an amazing location, with great access to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and springboard to the Lake District. • We have just got back from a 3 night stay at this gorgeous house. It was very homely. It was so much better than expected. Lovely location and perfect for a country escape for you and your family. We took our dogs which was perfect as it was catered for the dogs and the back garden is safe. Our dogs actually got out and ran off and we lost them for over an hour. The whole village come together and helped looked and they where found a mile away in a farmers field safe and sound. Absolutely amazing community. The pub is a stone throw away with outstanding food and is also dog friendly. We will be returning without a doubt to this lovely place. I highly recommend to anyone planning a nice family escape. Thank you once again Catherine for your service and your ongoing communication throughout our stay.

Available until the end of May subject to change. Woodlands was built in 1905 as a country gentleman's residence. Now beautifully restored and furnished in simple early twentieth century style.
Woodlands is a large house, but also homely and you'll have the place to yourself. So you've a choice of ten lovely bedrooms, grand reception rooms or cozy snugs.
Giggleswick is a pretty village with two nice pubs and shop. The lovely market town of Settle is a twenty minute walk across the river.

There was more than enough room and every where you turn and look is so stylishly arranged and thoughtfully designed. We loved walking straight from the door with our labrador into wonderful Yorkshire Dales countryside, yet also having the village amenities on the doorstep. The best bit was coming back to the house after a long walk and enjoying the incredible views from the drawing room window with a glass of wine. It was the perfect family break for us all.

  • The cottage is absolutely perfect! It has everything you need. Langcliffe itself is little village and you have a lovely walk (15 minutes) to Settle, where you can eat, drink and shop. We have made nice walks from the house, and by maximum 10 minutes in car. This was our first time Yorkshire Dales, we think that Tim & Helens cottage is the perfect base for it!!!

It was a great place from which to explore the Yorkshire dales! Plenty in the kitchen to cater for ourselves and Tim even gave some great recommendations for a nearby birthday breakfast. Cannot recommend highly enough! Thanks for a lovely stay. The fire was extra special and a super comfy bed!

  • If you want a place to get away from it all, then The Fold is perfect. It’s a pleasant walk into Settle for local amenities. Very comprehensive information is provided by Tim and Helen before you arrive and any queries are dealt with promptly. We had a very enjoyable weekend doing very little except relax.

    Jane2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

Everything you need for self catering and a good wifi signal too! The surrounding scenery is stunning and Settle is superb for great pubs & quirky shops. A warm welcome to my recently renovated Old School House in the wonderful tranquil and picturesque village of Newby, Clapham perfectly situated for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, the Forest of Bowland and within an hour of the Lake District
I have spent the last year renovating the Old School House in Newby - the original floors and beams have been brought back to life. I previously lived in Settle and my family have had a house in the Yorkshire Dales since 1930. The Old School House is in a wonderful location - very private at the top of the village with far reaching views. The room has a double bed and comfy chairs, with french doors opening to a private outside seating area. There is freshly ground coffee and teas available as well as a fridge, kettle and a table to enjoy breakfast. Within a few miles there is award winning sourdough bread, a cheese shop and an organic cooperative with wonderful fresh salads and fruit. A 6 mile walk directly from the house takes you to the top of Ingleborough - one of the famous 3 Peaks.
It is a quiet and peaceful village with the wonderful Goat Gap Cafe to enjoy. The house is walking distance to a pub and village shop (Clapham).
  • The apartment was so well furnished with thoughtful touches, we were very impressed. It is a perfect location for walking, sightseeing and dining. We very much look forward to returning to enjoy again.

  • A beautiful, homely apartment in a wonderful location. I only had one night there but would have loved more. If by chance your mobile provider is O2, I had no signal at all so write directions down beforehand.

  • Lovely location, amazing stylish and cosy accomodation. Loved the little touches. The door wasn't easy to find at first, you just need to go in the gate and round the back. Despite the weather Sarah gave us some ideas of what to do. Perfect location for walks and pubs (Malham cove is a must). We didn't have a problem getting around with the car. Thanks Sarah! Will hopefully be back again one day!

  • The directions from the owners led us exactly to the barn. Lovely stylish space, very comfortable bed with plenty of fresh towels. The little electric fire made the barn so cosy at night time when cuddling up on the sofa. The location is right in town with local bars and shops just a few minutes walk away. Would highly recommend, owners gave local tips about where to eat amongst other things. Great communication. Hope to visit again x

  • We had a lovely stay here with our two kids. The hosts were great: a light was out, they fixed it the next day; we left an item behind, they kindly posted it out to us. It was clean, well equipped and lots to keep us entertained inside if the weather was bad (which thankfully it wasn’t). We made equally good use of the board games and local walks guide. We went to Malham Cove and up to the Wensleydale Creamery at Hawes, both of which I would recommend. Beautiful part of the world, lovely little cottage. What’s not to like?

  • Great cottage superbly located ideal for a stress free break . Really nice welcoming local pub serving great food and drinks . We did a challenging walk up Whernside in not the best weather so it was much appreciated to arrive at the cottage after it to have hot showers and a relaxing night away from it all . The cottage is superbly finished throughout and has everything you would need . The pictures really dont do it justice ! Richard and Pam are great host very welcoming and all in all our stay was excellent - would recommend !

  • Fabulous cottage in a great location for walks and the village pub that serves delicious food. Pam and Richard made us feel very welcome.

    Gina2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a perfect stay. The cottage is in a lovely location with amazing views and great walks nearby. The cottage was super clean, the bed was comfy, there's a dvd player and Scrabble which kept us entertained. Pam was there if we needed anything and there was plenty of information and tips in a book inside the cottage to help us decide where to walk. The local pub is lovely and is definitely worth a visit. Thanks for a wonderful, relaxing break. We'll be back soon!

My place is in West Bradford, a mile and a half from Clitheroe, with great views and countryside walks. Although there are no shops or pubs in the village itself, a fantastic restaurant is just a minute's walk away. You’ll love my cosy, compact cottage dating from the 1730's with an original beam. It is located in beautiful gardens bordering a babbling brook. A private patio overlooks the brook towards fields. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets).
CORONAVIRUS PRECAUTIONS During the current time we are taking even greater care over cleaning the cottage. All surfaces are being wiped down with anti-bacterial and anti-virus cleaner. An anti-bacteria and anti-virus agent is being added when bedding and towels are laundered. If guests would prefer to bring their own bedding and towels they are welcome to do this. Weavers' Cottage is small but beautifully formed and oozing with character. The stone built cottage is located opposite our house and has been operating as a self-catering holiday cottage for the past twelve years. The studio accommodation has everything you need: double bed, cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, two easy chairs, breakfast bar, separate shower and toilet, full central heating, TV with DVD player.
West Bradford is a relatively small village community one and a half miles from Clitheroe. It is a rural community with a number of farms and acres of farmland with excellent walks within yards of the cottage. The area is very popular with walkers and cyclists. The village does not have any shops but the nearby town of Clitheroe, has a very good range of shops and supermarkets. Whilst there are limited amenities within the village The 3 Millstones restaurant is less than a hundred yards from the cottage. It is open Wednesday to Sunday and offers excellent food at very reasonable prices: there is an early diner menu Wednesday to Friday 6.00 to 7.00 pm with two courses for approximately £13. There are always two guest ales on tap and there is a very good wine list. The food is consistently excellent, we eat there at least once a month and have never been disappointed. One mile down the road is Waddington, a very picturesque village with three popular and well regarded pubs and The Country Kitchen which provides a hearty breakfast at reasonable cost. Both The Waddington Arms and The Lower Buck are dog friendly.
  • Absolutely stunning place to stay with the stream bubbling behind the cottage and friendly ducks wandering around the garden 🦆. Inside was toasty warm and had everything we needed (including good tea bags). Loved it!

  • Andrew's cottage is just lovely and we had a great time there (despite the weather). We and our dog were made very welcome. The area is beautiful and gave us a chance to escape the city. We highly recommend this place and would always visit again.

  • We had two fabulous nights and days in this little gem of a place. Cosy and warm, with everything we needed for our stay. Nice long walks, good food nearby oh and not forgetting the lovely, hot shower! Thank you Andrew and Sue for being such friendly hosts, we’ll be back xx

  • Please do not be put off by the size of this property, it has everything you need and more. We stayed with two large Golden Retrievers and found there to be ample room for us all.

    Carolyn2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage, cosy, comfortable and clean. Well located for the surrounding countryside.

    Michael2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy little cottage. We needed accommodation for a wedding at nearby Eaves Hall, this place was perfect for us. Andrew and Susan were friendly and greeted us at check in. Its in a very old building but inside it was modern and heating was good enough even in December. They also have facilities for self catering which made it felt more homely.

  • We visited Sunnyside cottage for a long weekend, we had an amazing time - would recommend to anyone! It has been decorated so beautifully inside, the cottage was so well presented and you can clearly see that a lot of thought has gone into the whole place. The coffee machine and Alexa were additional extras that we loved, as well as the hot tub! Barbon village is lovely as well, on Lee & Richard’s recommendation we booked in for the Friday night bistro evening at The Churchmouse which was fab - definitely worth a visit! We will definitely be back to Barbon!

Also Barbon, is a wonderful little village with very welcoming locals.

We are pleased to add to our portfolio Pinfold Cottage, a pretty detached stone cottage in rural Tosside, BD23 4SQ (Please see on the map direction for “The Old Post House” which is next door as Pinfold doesn’t show on google maps) When you arrive at Tosside (it is only very small) you will arrive at a crossroads, at the crossroads there is a community centre, the Old Vicarage Tearooms, the pub which is now a house and the Old Post House (detached house) and Pinfold Cottage (see sign).
Pinfold used to be the village post office and has had considerable renovation work to make it into the georgeous little detached cottage in the centre of this little rural village. We have recently added this delightful little gem to our quirky trio of cottages in the Yorkshire Dales and aim to give it more of a “cabin” theme. Pinfold is a small two bed detached stone built cottage with garden/patio, in the heart of the village of Tosside in the Yorkshire Dales - South just six miles from Settle. Split over three levels with it’s individual quirky style, Pinfold Cottage has been transformed from former farm buildings to the local village post office and now to provide a compact but well thought out unique detached stone cottage. Nestled on the border of North Yorkshire and Lancashire, Pinfold is a perfect retreat for couples or small families wishing to get away from it all and simply relax. Pinfold features two charming double bedrooms with lovely views of the village. There is a modern shower room on the ground floor, off the kitchen with chrome towel rail, shower with glass screen, sink with large mirror and low flush toilet. Into the kitchen from the main door which boasts attractive bespoke features and a stone flag floor. Two steps down into the spacious lounge with cosy wood burning stove, a leather sofa and chair to sink into by the fire with a tipple if your choice! There is also a small dining area where you can sit and discuss the day’s adventures with dinner or play board games with the kids or simply sit with a coffee and a magazine! An open plan staircase leading up to the carpeted bedroom’s with fixed double beds on a king size platform. (Guests always compliment how comfortable our beds are 💤) Outside is a private patio/garden where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine (or two) on a warm summer evening. BBQ sizzling away. The surrounding area is wonderful for walking and cycling with lovely footpaths leading right from the door of Pinfold Cottage. Gisburn Forest Mountain Bike Trails are close by, where cyclists of all abilities can enjoy a fabulous day out! Lying between the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland which is a designated Area of Natural Beauty is one not to be missed! To the North, the landscape rises to the fells, moors and picturesque valleys of the Dales, while the south are the wetlands of the Ribble Valley, which in turn, sweep upward to the beautiful wilderness of Bowland, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. • A lovely cottage in a very small peaceful village. A wonderful place for accessing the Forest of Bowland or the North Yorkshire Dales. Myself & my wife visited Settle & Malham both well worth a trip. If its a relaxing getaway your after look no further. Sarah was a great host very helpful via the phone on arrival. Just pack a few things & go you will love it.

    Stephen2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • A really lovely little cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over the Christmas period; Sarah had even added some nice Christmas touches. A cosy place to stay in but also walking distance to Gisburn forest. Wood was also left for the log burner which we used well, but if you are staying longer than a couple of days it might be advised to bring extra. Thanks for a great stay!

    Jess2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful little cottage with everything you need! Beds comfortable and lovely to relax in and look at all the lovely touches. Spotless and clean . We will definitely come back again and spend longer next time. Thank you Sarah for responding and communicating well!!

    Jules2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived in the dark but lights were left on for us and on opening up we were greeted by a cosy quirky warm reception. The radio had been left on low so as you entered the kitchen it was almost like stepping back in time. We lit the fire straight away and settled in with a cup of tea. My two children loved it. There were plenty of toys which my little girl was very happy to find. The bathroom was spotless with plenty of hot water and a nice towel rail to dry our towels on. We had freeview, Wi-fi and plenty of wood for the fire. We didn’t cook in the cottage and instead opted to have breakfast at The Old Vicarage Tearoom which was a 1min walk from the cottage. The food was great quality and good value. Overall if your looking for a cosy quirky cottage where you can have 1 foot in Lancashire and another in Yorkshire close to places like Settle, Skipton and Clitheroe then Pinfold Cottage is for you.

    Rob2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Had the most magical weekend! The cottage is absolutely gorgeous, the location is beautiful and rural, however still close to pub and shop. Loved the log burner, the cottage has all you need. Our 1yr son loved the toys, travel cot and high chair were a god send. Would highly recommend and will be returning xxxxx

  • Lovely little cottage. Really interestingly converted building. Kitchen is very quirky, basic but usable.

  • What a gem of a place! We loved it that much we stayed another night. The cute cottage had everything we could possible need for a break away. Set in its own garden with outside table and chairs we were able to enjoy the fresh air and listen to the nearby sheep in the field at the rear of the property. The views were fantastic and come evening we had tiny bats flitting by and a sunset to gaze at! Bliss! The cottage really quaint and had real personality compared to the generic Premier Inns etc we tend to go to! The main bedroom was lovely and the bed very comfy. Our daughters had the other room. We felt right at home there, made some delicious meals with the Baby Belling cooker and went on a few bike rides. The area was beautiful and the nearby Gisburn forest was a great place to ride our bikes! The local pub/bistro was very popular with walkers and cyclists and we had a drink there in their garden. It was next to a very interesting church dating back to 1694. Booths was about a 15 minute drive away so we made sure to stock up before we arrived as there were no local shops. Sarahs cottage was only half an hour away from wonderful Skipton and Malham with its magical beauty spot - Janet’s Foss! Enchanting indeed on a sunny day! We didn’t get to Settle but went to Waddington for a delicious lunch at the Higher Buck which we would recommend! Sarah was a Super Host indeed and was available to talk to by mobile or text. We recommend her darling cottage to anyone who wants to get away from it all, drink in the outstanding beauty of the area around the Forest of Bowland and catch your breath! Wonderful!

Our cottage is cosy and tastefully decorated. We have comfy beds and a big TV for relaxing. We have the bonus of a raised seating area with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Tea and coffee, towels, shampoo and soap, washing up liquid and loo roll provided
A little touristy village with nice pubs and restaurants. A stunning waterfall walk, caves to explore, an outdoor pool (summer months-ask for details) and bike track for kids. Nearby villages a short drive away with plenty to see and do.
  • The cottage was lovely and perfect as a base to explore the surrounding area. Ellie was great, she gave us tips for things to do and places to go and responded to any questions quickly. She also left a welcome basket for when we arrived which was a nice touch. Overall, I would definitely recommend this cottage for anyone wanting to visit this lovely area.

  • What a great place to stay. The arrival hamper was really good for after walking the three peaks. Ellie recommended the Mason’s to go and eat and she wasn’t wrong there, great burgers. I will be rebooking for our summer walk very soon and hopefully we can book the sun!

  • An amazing little cottage with every little detail considered by owner Ellie. The welcome hamper just makes it even more special and with an awesome pub staggering distance away and at the doorstep of the dales and the lakes, the cottage is just perfect!

Ellie was really quick to answer any questions or messages and is a great host. Location is great, local pub with lovely food 1 minute away and 5 minutes walk into the centre of town with lots of places to eat and drink. We did the waterfall trail which was lovely and also a nice circular walk from Clapham via Ingleborough caves and gaping gill which was a great walk. Definitely recommend to stay here.

  • Nice cosy cottage walking distance from several pubs and a co-op. The hosts were very obliging accommodating us at short notice when our previous airbnb cancelled our reservation at the last minute. Kitchen had everything we needed and the bed was comfy.

  • A lovely little cottage in a great spot from friendly people, what's not to like :) Parking was a little walk (it had been accurately described) but I turned out to be easy, I would say in the height of the season it might be a little more problematic but we found it a breeze and no issue at all. I would recommend this cottage and location.

Cottage was warm, cosy, spotlessly clean with those extra touches that make for a really pleasant stay like fresh flowers, hot water bottles, blankets, milk in the fridge, tea and cooking essentials.
