  • We rented the cabin for a family reunion and everyone was very happy with the place. It’s very close to town, great streets for taking the dogs on a walk, and the master bathroom is immaculate. There was communication with the owners through the whole stay and overall we are very happy with our trip! A quick note to renters... The “oil” that’s present is Crisco shortening and not what I would have in mind when thinking of cooking oil. Just bring your own. They do mention that the wood chips in the back are sharp and they’re not lying. One of our dogs split his paw just playing back there. It wasn’t a surprise at all since we knew, I’m just here to let you know to take it seriously! They also provided two dog beds, several dog toys, and water bowls! We brought our own, but the dogs loved the extras! We had so much fun as a family and would definitely stay again. They have firm rules, but I completely understand why. If you’re on the fence, definitely go for it!

Enjoy extraordinary PANORAMIC views of the mountains and ski slopes at our renovated mid-century chalet, with decor inspired by our travels to Switzerland! The space is a thousand square feet with an open floor plan upstairs, large windows, and vaulted beam ceilings to bring nature indoors. Throw a log in the stone fireplace, stare out at the incredible views, and create lasting memories. At night, star gazing from the deck will take you away. Enjoy cooking in the modern kitchen or do some grilling on the deck while taking in the fresh mountain air! Downstairs you'll find two small bedrooms, where they stay toasty and warm due to central heating. Both bedrooms have a queen memory foam mattress on a log frame bed with down pillows, down comforter with cotton duvet, and wool blanket. Bedroom 2 also has a twin roll-away bed stored in the closet which can unfold to sleep a child. There is one jack-and-jill bathroom downstairs that is shared between (and accessed from) the two bedrooms. The bathroom layout places the sink and shower in one compartment and the toilet and laundry in another compartment, with a pocket door separating the two areas of the bathroom to add some privacy. Upstairs you'll find the common areas under our high ceilings. There is a large sectional sleeper sofa in the living room that will comfortably seat all of you when you binge-watch Netflix on a snow day. The sleeper sofa is brand new with a queen memory foam mattress. We have plenty of extra pillows and blankets to keep you cozy. There is also a full bathroom with tub located next to the living room. The dining table overlooks the view and was custom made by us out of solid hickory. Two benches and two eames-style chairs will seat all of you when dining in. A flatscreen 4K Roku Smart TV in living room with Smart BluRay player will allow you to access our personal digital movie library, Netflix, as well as your accounts with Hulu, Prime, HBO Go etc. We have both plug-in speakers and portable bluetooth speakers for jamming out. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking supplies and utensils. Linens and towels are provided. Other features include charcoal BBQ grill/smoker, wood burning fireplace, washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher, wireless high speed internet, tv in one bedroom with built-in DVD/VHS and classic movies. You like games? We have a foosball table, playing cards, puzzles, and board games including Apples to Apples, Sequence, Monopoly, Scrabble, and Sorry. Out back we have a fun rope swing, string lights, and tree stumps for hanging out in the shade of our giant tree, Snuffy! Please note we do not have air conditioning - you won't find AC in typical 1960s mountain cabins and it's rarely hot enough. For warmer summer days, you can open windows to take advantage of the natural cross breezes from our hilltop, augmented by our 3 portable fans. Your well-behaved and house-trained pooch is welcome with a $20 one-time pet fee per dog. The front deck is a great perch for Fido to overlook the neighborhood and watch the birds and squirrels, but be advised the back yard is not fenced and the neighborhood is visited by coyotes. Don't leave your pet unattended. The steep uphill driveway can park 2 cars in tandem, provided they can all fit. At 108" wide between wall and railing, it is difficult for full size trucks and SUVs to unload. We recommend vehicles up to 74" in width. 4wd is ideal and low clearance vehicles are discouraged due to steep approach from street. Ask if you're unsure whether your car will be suitable. 1 vehicle can park at the bottom of the driveway before the railing starts, but it's a steep walk up with all your luggage.
From inside the cabin it feels very secluded. But we are in a residential area with other homes on all sides. Located in the Moonridge neighborhood, guests will love the peace and quiet, mountain and treetop views, birdwatching, moonrises, and stargazing. This residential neighborhood has some of the best views in town, thus many of the properties have steep terrain and steep driveways like ours. You won't have to deal with traffic on Big Bear Blvd heading to the resorts on snow days, as we're super close to the Bear Mtn shuttle lot.
  • Great cabin located near everything. Wonderful views of the slopes from the cabin. Sara and Eric are great hosts who will help with any questions you might have and give great local tips. Definitely recommend.

    Armando2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Sara was very communicative and checking in was easy! Would definitely stay again!

    Kevin2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • WOW is all I can say! After years (yes, years) of admiring Treehaus Chalet on Instagram and Airbnb, my husband our Staffy, Bronx, and I finally had the opportunity to come and stay for 5 amazing days. It was exactly as expected and as shown in all the photos...with the views even better in-person! A huge plus was that it's dog-friendly...and finding a really fun, unique place to stay can be difficult with a fur baby sometimes. Bronx was very appreciative! The cabin was fully stocked with kitchen essentials, which was perfect since we love to cook. Plus enjoying a meal with the mountains as the perfect backdrop can't be beat! We came here to prepare for a huge trip (hiking the Pacific Crest Trail in April which runs through Big Bear), so having such an inspiring view and place to stay was just what the doctor ordered. From the ski decor, to the foosball table, to the stylish touches of pillows, blankets, rugs and fabrics, to the stone fireplace and to Snuffy the tree with the macrame rope swing, nothing could get better than this! In fact, we loved the living room space so much that we ended up sleeping on the couch 3 out of the 4 nights we were there haha! (We are notorious for this as we're suckers for a comfy couch.) The location was fantastic and right in the middle of everything we love in Big Bear: hitting up Murray's in the Village on one side, to heading to the Fawnskin side of the lake to take our dog to play, take our truck on the Holcomb Valley back roads and hike. It's also an incredible location to Bear Mountain...though we didn't hit the slopes as we are saving any potential injuries until after we finish the PCT. ;) Sara and Eric were so quick to respond and you can tell they truly love sharing Treehaus Chalet with the world. We were so impressed that they put together a house manual filled with every local coffee shop, bar and restaurant's menus to scope out your next snack or meal. It was so hard for us to have to leave as our time there flew by SO fast. I can't recommend this place enough. To EVERYONE reading this review - stop looking and just BOOK IT! You can thank us later. :)

  • This place is awesome! Great view and perfect for a weekend getaway. Definitely coming here again.

    Joshua2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved this place! Very cozy with a beautiful view of the mountains. We didn’t want to leave! Made for a great weekend getaway.

    Doug2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great view, great area, great hosts... highly recommended.

    Dana2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • The Tree Haus Chalet was the perfect getaway for us. It had breathtaking views and was quiet. We (my husband, daughter and I ) enjoyed playing foosball, board games and sitting on the balcony or the chair swing. I couldn’t get over the beautiful views each day from the balcony. The place was clean and cozy. All instructions and communication was very clear and Sara ans Eric were available if we needed anything. This place is close to many restaurants, coffee, donuts and skiing/tubing/snowboarding. We would love to come back one day.

    Paula2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • If we could give this place 10 stars, we would. This place is exactly as they describe it, if not better. The views were breathtaking, the house is adorable and so cozy, and the hosts were AMAZING. This is a perfect place for a honeymoon (or getting married in the kitchen when Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate). The beds were comfortable and the fire place was great to get cozy. We visited in the winter and we do not know how to ski or snowboard so the village was about the only place with something to do. Sara and Eric gave great suggestions for dinner and activities, and made us feel right at home. Thank you for an AMAZING stay.

  • Awesome cabin! If you’re looking for a cozy little place to stay the weekend in, then this is it. They have everything you need to be off to a good start. I usually come up to ride but this trip was just for relaxing, and that’s exactly what we did! The jacuzzi is definitely nice during those colder nights. The furnace is a warming touch that can get the cabin cookin if you maintain the fire! Recommend!

    Jerritt2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved this little cabin! It’s so cute and cozy! It’s close to the village and restaurants. The Uber’s were only about $10 bucks each way which was very nice and convenient. The hot tub is the best part ! We enjoyed a glass of wine out in the hott tub. There’s beautiful lights above as well that set a great ambiance. The hosts were very accommodating and had good communication. Super easy to find, loved our stay thank you !

    Kourtney2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at the cabin! It's super cozy and had everything we needed. It's in a woodsy neighborhood which we loved, but it's also super close to the town center - best of both worlds! Marc and Esther were very responsive hosts and we'd stay at their place again in a second!

    Carly2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had an excellent stay at Marc an Esther's place. We spent most of our days enjoying the fresh air, making fires, enjoying the hot tub, and feeling cozy in the loft. Fast internet speeds along with Netflix made our stay even more enjoyable.

    Anthony2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great. The mountain was super close by.

    Kevin2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful experience in this house. Wonderful decoration. The upstair bedroom is so romantic, it's really a nice place for dating.

    Macmillan2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Place was great. Close to the slope..

    Derrick2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was absolutely beautiful and we loved the hot tub. It’s a smaller type of space but it still has a warmth and coziness to the interior.

Gorgeous, woodsy location in Fox Farms area of Big Bear Lake!!
  • Ben’s cabin is in an excellent location for slope enthusiasts. Combine that with the hot tub and homie feels of the cabin, it really is a nice place to kick it after a day at the slopes. A “family style” cabin designed for what it’s capacity says (10 people).

Everything is brand new from the kitchen, bath, flooring, windows, furnishings. We love all pets but our Big Bear love resort is not pet friendly and no smoking is allowed inside the cabin. Please respect it as you would your own home ;) A complete catalog with the list of all activities, what to do in Big Bear and instructions on how to use things around the cabin and get the most of your comfortable stay is at the house. ..:: ACTIVITIES & TO DO ::.. We've put together a list of some most popular activities within walking distance or very short drive from the cabin for your consideration: THE VILLAGE - just a 10 minute walk (great restaurants, winter/summer festivals and events, clubs, bars, a movie theater and shops) SNOW SUMMIT SKI RESORT - 6 minute ride (family ski, tube park, snowboard resort, certified lessons, mountain biking, kid's playground) TOWNE TRAIL (Town Trail) - 10 min walk (0.5 mile) to Forest Ranger Rd (well-maintained trails, hiking, mountain bike trails, incredible views of the lake and mountains, marked with arrows - can't get lost!). In case you don’t like to walk half a mile from the cabin to Forest Ranger Rd, you can drive up and leave the car next to the entrance of the trail, there is a small parking lot for your convenience. If the gate is open, you are allowed to drive on the trail as well! PINE KNOT MARINA - 12 min walk or 2 min drive (lake tours, luxury boat rentals, parasailing, jet ski, fishing boats) ROTARY PINE KNOT PARK - about 12 minutes walk (lake access and a beautiful lake view, benches, children’s playground, picnic tables) MEADOW PARK - 13 min walk or 3 min ride (lake access, tennis courts, volleyball court, horse shoes, play lot, picnic areas) ALPINE SLIDE AT MAGIC MOUNTAIN - 5 min drive (sleds, snow play, water slide, go-karts, miniature golf course, family fun activities year round) A lot more is available to do in Big Bear and presented in our guidebook; find a link to “See guidebook” located around the map on this page. ..:: ROMANCE PACKAGES ::.. Are you looking for a romantic getaway? Our cabin is for lovers too and you can celebrate that special someone by booking our exclusive romance package. Create your own love nest and enjoy uninterrupted quality time in your cozy cabin. Cuddle, relax, and rekindle your fire. For your convenience we offer the following romance packages (total price): PACKAGE #1 - a bouquet of beautiful flowers in vase ($49.96) PACKAGE #2 - small flower arrangement, chocolate on a side and fresh white roses petals on bed ($55.50) PACKAGE #3 - a dozen of quality wild red roses in vase ($61.04) PACKAGE #4 - small flower arrangement, large chocolate, fresh white roses petals on bed and three led candles on hot tub ($66.59) PACKAGE #5 - Deluxe Setting: an arrangement with a dozen roses, white roses petals on bed and around hot tub, led candles, big chocolate and ten balloons ($110.98) You simply let us know with what you want and our local florist and designer will take care of delivery and professional preparation at your cabin. That will be done BEFORE you arrive to surprise your partner. We’ve done these packages, they look fantastic, and we don’t show images for a reason. We want both of you to be surprised and guarantee you will love everything and rejuvenate in a luxurious cabin for a romantic trip to remember. Frequently Asked Questions Q: How do I book the package? A: Any time during your booking process send us message with the preferred package number. We will confirm your inquiry with the additional payment request after your reservation is made. Q: Your tub looks hot, we love how you lay petals and thinking to get one of the packages. Will our tub be designed the same when we arrive at your cabin? A: Your tub will be nice and clean before you arrive, won’t have water in it and with bubbles and stuff. After all, we want you to have hot tub, not cooled tub. Quick Tip: You may get just the petals from our local florist, the whole bag for about ten dollars. We poured some foaming bath and laid the petals around. Don't forget to add some bath salt too - it is good for your body ;) Q: We saw red petals on your pictures but in the packages you offer white. Is it a typo? A: We offer only white petals for your romance package because red petals would mark the bedding since we create a nice design on your bed out of the petals. But if you like red petals in your tub, feel free to pick up a bag from the florist and do your thing. Q: Why decorate our tub with led candles and not use real wax ones, aren't you for "authentic look and feel"? A: Yes, we are, but at the same time we think about your safety. Besides that, hot wax will be dripping down the tile and stone and then needs to be scrubbed off (tested). So if you want to have a piece of mind on your vacation, led candles will create that ambiance, care free soaking experience and add a ton of safety. Contact us for any questions on romance packages and feel free to request special instructions for the card note. So join us and experience the wonders of Big Bear Lake. This stay will be your unforgettable memory.
Our house is located 1 minute (10 minutes by walk) away from The Village - charming shopping and entertainment neighborhood on beautiful Big Bear Lake. With several dozens of local vendors, the district can satisfy your every shopping wish in just one stop! Find delicious eats throughout the Village, including a couple of Indian cuisine, Italian restaurant and high end The Bone Yard Bar & Grill.

  • Simply stated, "AWESOME!". My wife and I had a fantastic weekend, Lovey-Dovey's cabin exceeded our expectations in all categories! The cabin is close to town, a short walk to all of the shops and restaurants, and close to everything else that Big Bear has to offer! The cabin itself has upgraded everything and is perfect for a romantic weekend getaway or a longer stay! The owners went above and beyond to communicate with us to ensure that everything went smoothly, nothing was missed! We've been to Big Bear many times over the past 20 years, the Lovey-Dovey cabin has by far been the best Big Bear experience for us yet, we'll be back!

"I've been in a thousand cabins on this mountain, and I've NEVER seen one as nice as THIS one!!" That's what a local contractor said about our cabin, and he is right! Gorgeous cabin, very affordable.
  • Great spot for a weekend getaway! The cabin was spacious and cozy, we enjoyed the wood log fire place at night. The backyard was spacious and at a slope, would have been great for sledding if there were snow. We still enjoyed the jacuzzi, very clean and well kept. Overall great place, host responded extremely fast!

    Tiffany2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing spot! One of my best airbnb experiences. Awesome host too!

    Tony2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was perfect for my family of 9 the bunk beds and two other rooms were spacious, the living space was nice and the hot tub was a huge hit with the kids.. it was snowing and the kids were able to sled down the little hill in the backyard which was so much fun and a nice touch so we didn’t have to leave home for sledding! Absolutely, loved this place!!

Step back in time with this quaint cabin nestled in the trees. The fresh air and smell of pine needles greets you when you arrive. We are located right off of HWY 38 but it looks and feels like you are secluded in the mountains. Plenty of parking and lots of deck space to sit outside and enjoy the beauty of nature. There are hiking trails and Jeep trails in town and at Jenks Lake which is only 5 miles away.
The house has pots, pans, dishes, silverware, a microwave, stove/oven, and full size refrigerator so that you can cook your meals if you choose. There is also a washer and dryer for your laundry needs. We also have a TV with a DVD player and several movies and books for your entertainment. (No cable). There are also linens and blankets on the beds and extra towels in the closet for your use. Enjoy a nice bath in the old claw footed tub. The tub has a shower conversion for those who prefer a shower. There are extra heaters for those cold winter nights. We also have a working fireplace. We only allow fire logs, no wood.
We are in the San Bernardino National Forest at an elevation of about 5800 ft. The weather is normally cooler than the Inland Empire. The weather is seasonal. Spring and summer bring the Oak trees alive with lots of wonderful shady foliage. The fall and winter bring in much cooler weather with snow possible between December through February. Enjoy the local trails for hiking or mountain biking. You can also fish at Jenks Lake from late April to early October. Or sit outside and watch the Blue Jays, Chickadees, chipmunks, and squirrels frolic around.
  • If you are thinking about booking this place... don’t hesitate and just do it... A charming vintage cabin with just enough privacy to make you feel like you are in your own isolated piece of heaven. The touches throughout the cabin made us feel welcomed upon check in. Communication with the host was fast and easy... Very comfortable beds... The bathroom was very quant with a tub out of this world... Looking forward to coming again for a longer visit...

  • F.J. was great to communicate with and made sure we were up to date with the weather and road conditions as some bad weather rolled in. Even though our plans changed at the last minute, F.J. made sure the place was warm and ready for us. I would happily book F.J's cabin in the future.

  • Such a lovely home and relaxing. If you want some place to relax and unplug yourself from the city. This is it.

    Antonio2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • FJ's little cabin is such a wonderful place! I came there to relax and have some me-time after being a counselor at a camp for high school aged students, and I couldn't have picked a better place! The cabin is sparkling clean, super cozy, quiet, and stacked with all kinds of amenities and sweet, thoughtful touches. I spent the evening reading by the fire place. In the morning I had planned to go on a hike, but I just couldn't leave that super comfortable bed! That mattress is on of the best I'v ever slept on! Getting into the place was easy, and I was greeted not only by a bowl full of fresh fruit and really clear and helpful directions and house rules, but also a sweet little note Fj had written. In addition, FJ checked in with me to make sure everything was fine. This is a great place at a great price, and I can't wait to stay there again!

    Friederike2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was a perfect getaway for us. We enjoyed the space and found it very cozy. Nothing quite like waking up to a cool, crisp, mountain morning.

If you love Mid Century Modern, this is your place. Barcelona chairs with a cowhide rug in the bedroom loft sitting area. Eames Lounger in the living room. Scandinavian gas fireplace, Eames molded plastic chairs in the Dining room. Lane end tables. Bertoia wire chair on the deck. This list goes on and on. Bound to be a 1 of a kind. Actual parking spots, real stairs to loft that has separate sitting area. Full sized Kitchen. And a wonderful courtyard to enjoy the firepit or bbq.
So this is our 2nd A-frame in Running Springs. We had over 200 guest at our last one. We sold it in Feb of 2017 and had sellers remorse the next day. So as soon as we saw this Mid Century beauty we knew it was meant to be, Nestled in the trees above a tree lined valley. The views are relaxing as can be. The home is much bigger than most A-Frame homes. So your family has room to move. We are a few minutes from Snow Valley, and have great hiking nearby. In the Summer months the park at Arrowbear has TH-F-SA softball games to tailgate.
Ski resort is a few miles away. ArrowBear is the half way point between Arrowbead and BigBear. Chose your adventure.
  • The cabin was amazing my girlfriend and I loved it!!! Great view as well. Great experience would definitely come back.

    Guillermo2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place was fantastic. I love that there is Netflix on the TVs. Super beautiful views, well stocked kitchen, board games, and many other neat touches. The inside fireplace would not light, no matter how many different things we tried. We followed all the instructions multiple times. The rest of the place being so great made up for it though. Would definitely book again.

    John2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin and a steal! Yes, the cabin is priced for savings so you do have to do a few things to save said money. This is my favorite stay so far, yet the least expensive. Read the listing, follow the steps and you'll be glad you did. Felt homey, had all the amenities needed and that view! We will be back.

    Thy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a gem. We loved staying at Pete’s and Melissas cabin. You won’t regret booking with them. The place is located in an beautiful surrounding, it has all the amenities you’ll need, and you can spot a lot of birds while sitting in the living room (there are a bunch of woodpeckers doing their work right in front of you). We would highly recommend this place, it’s an awesome AirBnB experience. The cleaning is not a problem, it’ll take 45 minutes to one hour to get it all done but considering the price it’s absolutely worth it.

    Christoph2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Pete’s place is great to stay at! We were there for the weekend and really enjoyed the relaxing nature of the place. Thanks for a great time!

    Natasha2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a fantastic value for money. It is about 25 minutes or so from Big Bear Village, which to us wasn’t a big deal. The house is very private and cozy. The loft is great and has two lounge chairs that overlook the main living area and you face the massive windows that give a view of the valley. The fact you have to clean up afterwards wasn’t a big deal at all to us, we were happy to do it. Overall our stay was perfect. We will be coming back in the winter months when there is more snow.

    Wyatt2020-02-14T00:00:00Z

  • I had a great stay with my six year old and husband. Our six year old can't wait to go back to "cabin number 3". It was a sweet space for our Big Bear "snow" adventure. Sunny had helpful tips about the local restaurant and market. Supplies in the kitchen and bathroom were just enough. I am sure we will return!

    Sara2020-01-26T00:00:00Z

Bed is small too, so have a good relationship with you you're brining. Host was cool with us using fireplace safely. Great communication though, so feel free to reach out. Would recommend.

The TreeHaus is a 1 minute walk to the lake. Perched up on a small sloop the view is all trees. The home built in 1961's ski chalet vibe shines through while modern goods make it a cozy get away from the snow filled winters of Green Valley Lake. GVL, is a 8 miles off the beaten path and a million miles from the real world.
The home is old and rustic, with a modern twist. Everything in the home was hand picked and brought in just for the Airbnb. Its truly turning out to be something special.
  • Great time! Awesome experience thank you!

    Mark2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Pete’s place is so special. There as so many special touches such as extra bathroom amenities, wonderful cook wear and utensils, the modern yet rustic decor, the super comfy leather couch and candles, and the comfy blankets! The deck is so nice also with lights strung around the perimeter, the gas fireplace, and the barbecue. We had such a nice trip and Pete’s place put the cherry on top! He and Melissa are also very responsive to any questions. We will definitely be back!

    Kim2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place was wonderful! What an escape. What you see is what you get! Great views with a cozy hearth and beautiful natural light. Would rate higher than 5 stars if I could! Pete is a great host and so timely in communication!

  • The Treehaus is an absolutely gem and was a perfect getaway for our family of four! It was a cozy mix of cabin-vibe + mid-century modern! Super nice and appreciated touches were lots of throw blankets, wood for a fire, and condiments, etc. in the fridge. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much, Pete & Melissa!

    Michelle2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Treehaus is a cozy little cabin with tons of amenities and little touches that made it the perfect place to ride out a winter storm that was way more wintery than expected.

This is our newest cabin. Has a double bed in the bedroom and a pullout couch in the living room.
  • What a gem! Our family of 4 stayed in Cabin 5. We have a 4.5 yr old and 1 yr old and it was absolutely perfect. Loved the lack of tv and wifi to give us a break from technology for a couple days. The cabin was extremely well stocked. We cooked our meals there and I had everything I needed. I forgot to pack coffee and was ever so grateful that Sunny had some coffee available in the cabin! The cabin was also very clean and nicely renovated. It is still rustic, but not old and dilapidated. The futon had everything we needed for bedding all the way down to a mattress pad. Nice touch! The lodge is super cool with lots of antiques and things to look at. They also have books and games you can borrow and take to your cabin. I really enjoyed talking with Sunny and learning some of the history behind the resort. The cabin also had a cool write up about the history of the cabins which was a fun read. Now for the best part. There were so many activities on site to do! My husband loves disc golf and they had a 9 hole course on the property! He didn't bring any discs and was so upset with himself until we stumbled upon discs provided by the lodge. It was great! They also had a basketball court, volleyball, horseshoes, archery, swings, hammocks and cute areas to sit outside and take in the views. This was all a surprise to us, but so perfect to keep us all entertained during our stay. Sunny also recommended the local cafe and we did have one meal there before leaving and it was SO delicious with great service and reasonable prices. The only thing some people may be bothered by is that the resort is right on the highway so you do hear traffic noise. It didn't bother us much, but if you are looking for something secluded, this place is not. Our older son said he wants to go back to Cabin 5 so we definitely will be making another trip up there. Highly recommend!

  • So much better than I expected. The lodge portion is great and people should take advantage of the rustic qualities.

    Stephen2019-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Cabin was perfectly clean, comfortable and warm. Would definitely stay again.

    Hannah2019-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • We only stayed for a little bit because we got in late and left early for the hike at San Bernardino Peak. But the short stay we had was great! Sunny was very responsive to any inquiries I had before our stay. Very cute cabin. We are likely to stay here again next time we're in the area!

  • We really enjoyed staying at Bear Creek! Very good quality for the price and close to town!

    Sarah2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great find! It was less than a mile to the city and less than a 10 minute walk to a brewery. The staff on site were amazing. They helped us get the ice and snow off the car and even shoveled a path for us. The place itself was clean and there were towels and coffee for us. The bed was very soft and sinks in slightly but it was still very comfortable. Overall, I would stay here again!

    Chelsea2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed in this cabin this past weekend and it was far better than expected! It’s perfect if you’re trying to have a nice getaway with your loved one. It’s in a great location, pretty close to everything and the hot tub was a huge plus.

  • Cute little cabin! We truly enjoyed our stay here. The location is great and the little cabin was nice and warm and cozy when it was cold outside. The host was really nice and made us feel at home. Great place to stay.

    Melissa2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. This cabin is a part of a resort made up of many cabins. The fence to this cabin allows privacy and the private Jacuzzi was amazing. The host was very accommodating with our after hours arrival and provided dishes upon request. We never saw the host because we were out during the day, which was nice. It made the space feel like our own. We used the charcoal grill that was located on the porch but had to clean out the old ashes first. This was not a big deal for us but maybe for someone unfamiliar with the task. The only thing that would have made it even better would have been two more towels. We had to reuse our shower towels with the jacuzzi so they were damp all the time and chilly because it's winter, lulz. The fireplace was excellent right next to the bed and the bed was VERY comfortable. I am so grateful for this vacation and stay and I know we would do it again at this location. Thank you!

Secluded A-frame in lovely little Angelus Oaks at an elevation of 5,800 feet. This quiet space is perfect for a romantic getaway or time with family and friends. Winter conditions can bring an array of weather from November through May. Fall foliage is stunning and summers are comfortable and cool compared to the low-lands.
Completely renovated cabin, definitely comes with quirks, but fully designed for function and purpose. Please take note of the following: 1. Steep stairs to bedrooms 2. No TV / WiFi / microwave, yes to sound system though! 3. No freezer, but we do have a ice machine 4. Heat source: wood stove 5. Not acoustically sound between rooms 6. OPEN layout Perfect for reading, games, puzzles, cooking, socializing, hiking, mountain biking, hammocking, perfect for some good old quality time!
Angelus Oaks is a lovely little town on the back way to Big Bear, home to 300 residents. It is a strong community that looks out for each other and is known for mountain biking and hiking. We highly recommend heading over to the Oaks restaurant and picking up one of their “fruit if the Forest pies”. But make sure to get your reservation in as they are typically sold out by Saturday afternoon. The market is a great resource, and has a fantastic selection of wine and beer, but don’t plan on getting any meat or produce here.

I have a artistic and peaceful room available in a quaint mountain community near Forest Falls and Big Bear. The space is perfect for couple or single person needing a quiet space to relax, read, write ect. I am an adventurer, traveler, and all around down to earth host. lt's my pleasure to share this unique and beautiful area! I believe its a hidden gem of the southern California mountains and I hope you will too!
This small community located in the San Bernadino National Forest is unique in that everything southern California has to offer is within about an hour to hour 1/2 drive such as Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, Big Bear, Los Angeles, and southern California beaches. If you would like to stay in the mountains, the house is located off the beaten path with hiking trails and a creek behind the house. The quaint town of Redlands is just 20 minutes down the hill. Redlands offers some great local bars, trader joes, restaurants, breweries and events. The house is a shared living space. Almost every piece of furniture in the house has a story making the space eclectic and homey. I have a pound pup Vivian who is friendly and gets along with visitors. Vivian and I are low key and just want to make your visit as comfortable as possible. We look forward to meeting you!
The neighborhood is peaceful, quaint, quiet and safe.
  • Stay here if you get a chance. Heather and Dave are great people and they will make sure your stay is comfortable. There are trails and outdoor things to do all around the area.

  • Heathers place was so beautiful and such a good deal for the price! She left a heater for us in the bedroom which was very thoughtful and was very responsive to text messages. Really enjoyed our stay and will consider again next time we are in the area!

    Kelly2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Heather's provided an amazing getaway. This place is only ten minutes from the nearest town, but it feels very remote and quiet. The only thing I heard the entire time was birds. It's completely spotless (seriously, I couldn't find even a dust mote), but still cozy and lived-in. The decorations are stylish and earthy, with houseplants on every flat surface and lots of great photography she's done. She offered so many nice little amenities: the bedroom had a little heater, a salt lamp to use as a night light, reading material, a small desk. And SOFT bedding. The kitchen is spacious and airy, with comfortable dining chairs great for working on a laptop. Cozy overstuffed couches. Nice scented candles. She was super generous and helpful, and really nice to chat with. Her dog Vivian is a sweetie, too! I can't wait until I can go up there and get away again.

It was the perfect vehicle for a cozy night in the mountains, as well as a bright and beautiful morning before a day of hiking and adventure.

  • This place was a fantastic for a little romantic weekend! Only thing that I wish were different was the temperature of the water to be a bit hotter/stay hotter longer. I know that’s just the price of a smaller/older cabin, but it’s a good thing to know. Otherwise, we had such a great experience and will most definitely be staying here again! :)

    Brianna2020-02-10T00:00:00Z

  • Absolutely pleased with my stay. Better than the Hilton!!

    Juan2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • To preface: I am an EXTREMELY clean person so I brought supplies with me with super low expectations. The price and location for the weekend of January 10 was so good for a pet-friendly place that I didn’t mind the possibility of having to clean at all. While the cabin was clearly worn in, it was already cleaner than I anticipated upon arrival. There was no left over trash. I basically just wiped down all surfaces (highly recommend bringing paper towels, Clorox wipes, & house slippers). I didn’t use the spa or the shower during my stay but both were reasonable. The bed was incredibly comfortable and huge. The kitchen seemed decently stocked but I brought all my own supplies again. I also recommend bringing tin foil and your own baking pan or cast iron. Check in at the cabins4less location - was quick and easy. Their firewood bundles are huge and a better deal than the other place I went to so I ended up going back to buy more there. I really loved the location, especially for walking my dog, it was super close to an open park where people go to sled. It being winter, I didn’t see a single bug or critter my entire time there. I could hear the people upstairs a bit but never once felt annoyed. They actually locked themselves out one night and used my phone to contact the company for access. Cabins4less instantly responded which was super impressive! Overall, bring all your own supplies (bedding, towel, cooking, & cleaning) and if you’re accustomed to camping at all then this cabin will feel pretty luxurious.

  • The picture do not do this place justice. Absolute perfection! It says stupid but it’s a 1 bedroom. There was a private little gated yard too. Bed was super comfortable and the place was squeaky clean. You can tell they take pride in their cabin.

  • Hosts were great. Upgraded me to a room with a fridge for free because I accidentally booked one without a fridge. They gave me coupons for local sports shops and provided answers to questions whenever I needed. Definitely worth the value. The room is better than what you’d think for the cost. Location is great too. Would recommend.

  • This place was great for my one night stay. Looks the same as the pictures. The price can’t be beat during December in Big Bear. I was really happy with the price and coziness of the room. It was nice getting reminder texts for check in and a text for how to check out. Made it really easy for my stay.

Loved all the wall hangers especially around the heater! We were able to come in, hang and dry our snow gear and bathing suits easily before heading back out. Kid friendly and our 5 year old didn't want to leave. Beds and pillows so comfy. We will be staying here next time!

  • Stu was a great host and had everything ready well before our arrival. That cabin is outfitted with everything you would need for a weekend getaway. All you need to bring is food because all of the pots, pans, utensils, cookware, etc is provided. Great beds with plenty of extra blankets. We traveled with a 4 year old and a 16 month old and they had a blast. The cabin is in a great location with access to everything in Big Bear within minutes.

  • This was our first time using Airbnb and Claudia made it so easy and was very helpful her cabin was perfect for our family of 4 with 2 younger children 5 And 8. They shared the pull out couch bed. Very clean and cozy. Thanks again

  • Claudia was a fantastic host. Her place is amazing, clean and well kept with an array of personal touches. We came up to ski at Snow Valley so the location was prefect for my wife and 2 young kids. Just a 15-20 minute drive to Big Bear, we prefer staying in this area to be free of the noise and crowd of Big Bear. We can’t wait to book again for our next ski trips. You won’t be disappointed as Claudia’s place is cozy, cute, and comfortable.

  • Let me start by saying Claudia so sweet and is only a message away. Her cabin is so Lovely every touch and detail is beautiful. We stay here for a little birthday getaway. We definitely enjoyed the staying in doing nothing and watching movies all day kind a getaway lol so T.V with Hulu, Netflix and Amazon was a huge plus. We also enjoyed the board games. But if your looking to spend a day out in Big Bear Village it's only a 20 or 30 minute drive not bad at all. Overall just trust me you will definitely enjoy your stay weathered is staying in or dining out. 😊

  • Honestly it’s a small cozy place that is perfect to stay at close to everything near the area definitely looking forward to come back when I’m in town !

  • This cabin is wonderful! It’s the perfect size for 2-3 people to stay and enjoy the mountains, though I stayed on my own. There are lovely touches everywhere, and the whole place really is beautifully kept up. Everything smelled amazing and I could tell that every linen had been laundered before I got there. The kitchen has everything you need to make simple meals – a two burner gas stove, a mini-fridge with good-sized freezer compartment, a microwave, and a toaster oven. Claudia keeps it stocked with the basics, including coffee and tea and some snacks. And the TV comes with all the major streaming services (I took advantage and binged His Dark Materials). The location is killer. I came up to ski and the Snow Valley Mountain Resort is only seven minutes away. Claudia also includes a guide to things to do nearby. Definitely book this cabin.

  • The place was perfect! I had some issues trying to figure it out how to turn on the fire place, but they were able to help me out with it very quick, it had to do with the thermostat being on which wasn’t. Other than that, hot tub worked perfectly, there is a balcony which we enjoyed in the morning with a cup of coffee. Everything very cozy and nice. Looking forward to stay there again!
