  • We had a wonderful stay! Everything was clean and arranged well, and there was plenty of kitchen supplies available. It was quite warm inside despite is being super cold outside. Wish we could have stayed for longer!

  • Such a beautiful space! Loved all the animals - especially the goat. The goat is unreal.

  • I went up to T’s space for a short trip with my partner and our pup. It was such a great getaway. The Yurt is very cool, very warm, very cozy. We loved it. Our pup had a great time running around and exploring with the other dogs on the farm. We also spent some time with the farm animals and hanging out in the hot tub. It was as private as we needed and I appreciated how open and communicative T was. Thanks for a great trip!

  • The farm is a truly special place and our stay at the yurt was absolutely lovely, especially right after the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Tim was a most gracious host, along with all of his animal counterparts and Cal (one of the pups on the farm) was great company during our stay! There's lots to explore right on the farm, as well as a bunch of great hikes nearby and New Paltz is a quick ride away for some delicious bites and beers! Can't wait to head back!

    Stephanie2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt is magical.

  • An absolutely peaceful and beautiful place to visit. Just a wonderful accommodation, wonderful hosts, and farm animals! I have visited before and am genuinely sad each time I leave to head back to the city. Staying here really gives you such an appreciation for nature and the stars! You can't see a third as many stars in NYC. Such a blissful place. I can't wait to visit again.

  • Drove up to the Catskills during a snow storm and still had an absolute blast. We stopped at the Hannaford’s to grab groceries and were able to make a roasted bacon wrapped pork and veggies for dinner! We also baked cookies and stayed cozy inside until we braved the snowy walk to the hot tub (worth it). We also brought my dog, who is still in training, and had a great time running through the snow and playing with the other dogs. For all the reviews talking about kitchen amenities, there’s plenty of salt 🙄 and everything was very clean. TLDR: we will definitely be back.

  • This was a fun setting surrounded by chickens, goats, horses on a large farm. Our stay was slightly curtailed by heavy rain making getting around tough. We had a great time and the host was very accomodating.

  • Ritika's place was great for a getaway from the city. Very private, quiet, and beautiful views--saw deer just outside in the morning! Perfect as starting place or return spot from the nearby hikes.

    Beau2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location outstanding views!

    Whittney2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a charming little cabin for a quick weekend getaway! The host provided very detailed instructions, so the cabin was easy to find. The place is the perfect size for two (big enough where we weren’t tripping over our stuff or each other but small enough for that cozy winter vibe). We loved the big glass windows, which provided beautiful sunrise & sunset lighting along with the chance to see some wildlife walk by throughout the day (saw deer a few times). The bathroom was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there are two heaters, which were very useful come nightfall. The cookware and utensils in the kitchen are fairly limited so if you plan to make a few meals, you may want to bring your own. However, we found the simplicity a good excuse to just bake up some frozen apps to drink wine with! There’s no WiFi but the cell reception is perfectly fine out there if you do need to stay connected to the world. All in all, we thought it was a great place for a quiet weekend out of the city.

    Lynn2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Most romantic, cozy, and relaxing space I have ever been in. My boyfriend and I came up for a weekend break from NYC and instantly fell in love. Photos do not do it justice! Waking up to these views it amazing, and at night the skies are so clear it's like you can see the whole galaxy. Rikitia and Kaustubh made our check in and check out seamless, and they have so much land we truly felt secluded, private, and on our own with the nature around us. They were flexible with check out time and allowed us to enjoy the space for a couple more hours on Sunday. We spent a day hiking around the beautiful Lake Minnewaska, went for dinner in New Paltz, and visited the Vanderbilt Mansion on our way home. We will 100% be making this a yearly thing!

    Nina2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our peaceful, relaxing, weekend getaway at Ritika's Airbnb! The space was cozy and perfect for a couple, with beautiful sunlight and thoughtful touches. Ritika was a great, very responsive host who gave us very useful local tips, and we were pleasantly surprised by the abundance of things to do in the area from hiking to good food and breweries / distilleries. Highly recommend.

    Vinh2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at Ritika’s property and it was incredible both times! They’re a lovely couple who are so responsive and always give us great local recommendations. It was so cozy to watch the snow fall from the beautiful cabin and we loved that there was heat!

    Alexandra2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Ritika's airbnb was the perfect space for a quick weekend getaway. She is incredibly communicative, and quick to respond. Check in is a breeze, and her thoughtful recommendations really took the guess work out of where to eat, and what to see and do. Would highly recommend.

The diary barn was converted to a home in 1984. 20 acres remained landlocked with pittoresk class A trout stream running trough pastoral setting. • The tent is a great space! The farm property is fun, unique and beautiful. After a day spent hiking in Mohonk, this was the perfect place for a night’s rest. One of the farm workers, Jan, was helpful and friendly in getting us checked in. Would absolutely stay here again!

  • Tim's place was a breath of fresh air. Beautiful land and animals.

    Danielle2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay, the tent is magic and the whole experience was a needed fresh change from our urban life in NY. Everyone was super easy going and friendly, the dogs are an extra joy. They have different type of accommodations, we’d love to explore a few of them! Highly recommended

    Matteo2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Really fun place to stay! There’s tons of animals and Tim is a great host.

    Madison2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to go to get out of the city for a while! The property was very homey and rustic and the bed warmer and the pellet stove in the tent kept us nice and toasty. Tim was incredibly welcoming and had great tips for what to do in the area. The animals were a plus too! I would definitely come back in the future!

    Julia2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay in the pioneer tent. Even though it was January, the pellet stove and heated blankets made it very cozy. The farm has lots of wonderful and friendly animals, which made walks around the premises very enjoyable. To round it out, couldn't have asked for a friendlier host. Would definitely stay again!

    Theo2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Tim is such a great experience! He’s very welcoming, easy going, and so open with sharing his spaces. We stayed in the cabin and then the pioneer tent and can not recommend both enough. He’s built everything on the property himself and you can very easily see the love, care, and detail that went into crafting it all. We stayed at the end of December during a cold rainstorm and still found it to be a very comfortable stay. The pioneer tent is adorable and atmospheric, with a pellet stove keeping it very pleasantly warmed. We enjoyed two very nice nights in the hot tub as well. Can’t wait to return!

  • Clean, private cabin located on a farm for guests who LOVE animals and aren’t afraid to get their shoes muddy. Would recommend. I booked this cabin as an easy getaway from the noisy city for the night for me and my boyfriend. We started the trip hiking early in the morning at Minnewaska state park, had lunch, and then headed over to the cabin for check in just shortly after two. As soon as we turned down the drive away, we were greeted by 4 very excited dogs and in the distance could see 3 horses and a goat outside grazing on hay. As we drove past the horses to find our parking spot, we noticed two rabbits in their cages and a group of about 10 chickens, roosters and ducks roaming freely. As animal lovers, we knew immediately this was the place for us! We checked in at the main house with a young man named Jan. Jan was very friendly and gave us a quick tour of the property and where we will be staying. The cabin was exactly as pictured and was very clean. We used the kitchenette the following morning to make breakfast. They had plenty of pans and utensils. The only thing really worth noting, although not necessarily bad, is the property offers about 5 other locations onsite for people to stay. It had the feeling of a bed and breakfast but separate cabins instead of rooms in one house. Fire pit and hot tub are communal and detached from cabin (closer to the main house) and there are other guests roaming the property as well. All in all, we had a great time and would definitely come back !

  • Such a beautiful setting with something for everyone! T was super friendly and hospitable. Can’t wait to go back in the summertime!

    Newe2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place if you want to get away from everything and be on a farm and don’t mind a little dirt. My bf and I really enjoyed staying here. Beautiful hiking places around the area. Beautiful water falls. Do not wear a pair of shoes you don’t want muddy. Except a coal grill and bring fluid lighter we were not well prepared for that part but we laughed trying to use a coal grill. Will def be back in the summer to go to the water holes! The animals make the stay especially the dogs coming in an out of the cabin!

    Bobby2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great! Recommend

    Jessica2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The setting feels private and rural (because it is). The animals are friendly and add to the ambience. This is beautiful country and I'm glad we have found an outpost to explore it from. The cabin was warm and cozy and had a great kitchenette for heating up leftovers and preparing our breakfast. We didn't have a chance to try the hot tub, the farm breakfast (offered by the host), or even the local rails to trails, etc., but we look forward to doing so in the future. We especially appreciated that the location was actually secluded, even though we found a great brewery less than 10 minutes away (Rough Cut -- check it out)!

    Tara2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • T's place is jam packed with atmosphere and life. The jacuzzi is state of the art and the cabin had great vibes. I'm already planning my return!

Our unique Barn Loft is the perfect back to nature, streamside home, on 300 acres of farm and forest land. Your adventure is in your backyard, or just beyond. Our home provides a cozy and romantic setting, for reflection, connection, and relaxation.
Our barn loft was originally the back section of a huge dairy barn, where they housed the bulls. Exposed original beams, our own milled wood and stone work accentuate the charm of our rustic home and simple living. Open and bright, our space invites friends and lovers alike to relax and connect, explore  and reflect. The great room hosts the lounging area and kitchen, with views of the pasture. Guests are welcome to use all appliances and spices they may need. The master loft has a king size bed, clean linens and a door looking out at our majestic Shagbark Hickory. The second bedroom off the great room has a private entrance and twin bed. The stone patio out back sits next to our apple tree. Here, you and your guests may relax, BBQ on a charcoal grill, or drink the night away around our fire pit. Our bathroom is a one of a kind hand built stone walled shower and tub. Our tap water comes from a natural spring, that can be sulfur at times, but we have a filtered water container in the fridge for you to enjoy. The small garden surrounding the house hosts a few herbs (when in season) which guests are encouraged to enjoy, just ask if in need of recommendations or a tour. Within the garden is a summer solar heated shower, to relax and rinse among ferns and morning glories, looking out onto the pasture. Living in nature, we are privy to the smallest of the beautiful world of nature, bugs. It is normal living in the woods that sometimes the bugs come inside. They won't harm you! Just shoo them away. We do have honey bees as well, you will never notice them, they are tucked away in the Christmas trees. Every part of our unique and quirky home has been built in the family over generations, and we invite you to share our experience and be a part of our story!
Our location is the perfect balance between the peace and quiet of nature, and the convenience of towns, restaurants, and bars. We are 20 minutes from the state thruway, 20 minutes from New Paltz, 10 minutes from High Falls, Stone Ridge, all home to wonderful local restaurants, food stores, and shopping. We are only a short drive from Mohonk and Minnewaska State preserve, both of which we encourage guests to check out, and also countless other local hikes to waterfalls and lakes, bouldering and hiking. We are 5 minutes down the road from Westwind Orchards and Arrowood Brewery, a local bar where they grow their own hops. There are several other residences spaced out on the farm, but your neighbors are all family or friends!
  • Our second trip to the cabin and we are just as smitten as we were the first time around. The pictures truly don’t do this space justice

    Gracen2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The space is lovely and the bed comfortable. Colleen is a clear communicator and all of our expectations were met. We had a lovely stay with our dog in the loft. Highly recommended!

    Jarret2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect getaway from the city. C's place has the most thoughtful touches and incredible recommendations for food and activities around the area. Communication and cleanliness were top notch. Would most definitely return and recommend to anyone!

    Shira2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with our puppy in C's barn loft was AMAZING. The place is bigger and more beautiful than the pics let on; the bed was amazingly comfy; the kitchen is well equipped (pour over coffee, supplied beans and half and half, coffee grinder) with everything you need for a lovely, rustic, 3-person stay. You wake up next to the cows, you can explore the farm, the wood stove provides for lovely cozy evenings, there are surround sound bluetooth speakers in the living area, our pup loved the dog bed in front of the fire, the extra room with the plants that we didn't even really get to use is absolutely adorable, and there are lots of things to peruse and use like interesting books, yoga mats, oil diffuser, etc. Also important to mention that C was an incredibly responsive and lovely host and we are already planning a trip back in the warmer months so we can take advantage of the gardens, fire pit, and outdoor shower :-)

    Nicola2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The space is super cute with lots of interesting books and special touches. Colleen is an amazing host — quick to respond to messages, accommodating, hospitable, and kind. We ended up buying some delicious honey from the bees on the farm — and Colleen gifted us some heavenly homemade soap. We’ll be back!

    Amber2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We finally found the perfect weekend getaway cabin! Loved the small details! The eggs were really good. We’ll definitely come back!

    Justin2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Colleen’s loft is just the respite we needed from the city. Great place to slow down, highly recommend.

  • Judy and Eric’s home was exactly the charming and cozy place my friends and I were looking for. The location was perfect, with a beautiful view from the living room, tucked away enough that we were able to really appreciate the stars and the quiet but still so centrally located that restaurants and grocery stores were a very short drive off. The home was sparkling clean and warmly decorated. Judy and Eric were also so forthcoming in directions, advice, and gave us great tips on nearby hikes. We stayed in March where the weather was just warm enough that we could enjoy the porch but can’t wait to come back in the warmer weather to fully enjoy the great space. Thanks again Judy and Eric for a lovely stay!

  • Fabulous and unique glamping getaway. This was a very cozy and romantic space for two, and stayed quite warm in the bed despite chilly (low 30s) temps outside. Idyllic farm setting and accommodating hosts.

  • Farm style glamping! Dogs, chickens, horses, and birds singing. The tipi was beautifully built and cozy. The location was 20 minutes outside of New Paltz and within short distances to hiking trails. We went on one of the coldest weekends in the winter but the heated blankets kept us warm in the night. The host Tim and Tessa were very warm welcoming and are looking to expand into some guest experiences activities. I’d love to come back again!

    Brianna2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Tipi is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures! In spite of having a rainy night we had no inconvenience inside beyond that we had an incredible night with the sound of the the rain. Just amazing!

    Maria2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay! Definitely the break we needed from living in the city. Although the Tipi was FREEZING— we kind of knew what we were getting ourselves into. Sleeping was fine since the mattress was heated, but we couldn’t really hang out in the Tipi otherwise. Thank god for the common house with the bathroom because we were able to hang out there to warm up and play with the dogs. The hot tub was also a great touch- highly recommend!

  • Can't say enough about how special Cori's farm is, and how totally relaxing the cottage is. Highly recommend!

    Pam2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Cori’s place is adorable. We built a fire in the living room, cooked in the spacious kitchen, and walked around the horse barn. It was blissful and in a great location. Close to new paltz and beautiful hikes. Check in and out was easy. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Cori’s cottage is the perfect escape from the city. It is peaceful and quiet and the horses are the best company. Lots of great hiking and food options in the area. We will be back.

  • Amazing place for those who like the outdoors and are looking for an easy weekend getaway!

    Lazarus2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Cori's cottage was everything we were hoping for (and more!) for a weekend getaway from the city! It was sparkling clean, is super cozy and comfortable and we immediately felt at home. The setting is so peaceful and we enjoyed the view onto the field and the horse barn in the back (and the big tree in front of the kitchen). The fireplace is amazing; we enjoyed it every evening. Additionally, the whole house was kept warm thanks to the well functioning heating - we were there over a cold and snowy February weekend, so this was important. The location of the cottage is great, on the one hand it's close to Minnewaska State Park (don't miss the easy hike around Lake Minnewaska), on the other, you have the convenience of a large Walmart nearby (and, of course, small towns such as New Paltz). We did not have a chance to meet Cori this time, but we exchanged text messages and she was super responsive and helpful. We definitely plan on going back and look forward to meeting her next time!

    Tascha2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Staying on Cori's place was sheer rental perfection: everything was so easy to navigate, the home is the very clean and epitome of cozy, the location is excellent to enjoy all the local gems, Cori is a superb host with joyful energy, and it's basically on the horse farm of your childhood dreams. In addition to renting Cori's place for the weekend, we also participated in the Horse Connection experience. We learned about the nature of horses and worked with a horse we named "Moon Goddess" who helped us with teamwork and communication. We highly recommend any of the horse experiences Cori offers. We loved every element of our stay and we can't wait to return!

    Rachel2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • So we rented this place to get away from it all and celebrate my SO's birthday, a day after we arrived my car broke down in the driveway. Cori stepped in and saved the day by helping me find a mechanic and allowing me to borrow her car to get the part that I needed. Without her we would probably still be stranded, thank you soo much.

It was super cozy and had everything we could possibly need during our stay. We loved it so much that we spent the majority of our time indoors. Enjoy affordable comfort in the Catskills at our clean, modern one-bedroom apartment on a small, organic seed farm. Close to rock climbing. 30-minute drive to Kingston or New Paltz.
Spend some time in our new apartment on our small organic seed farm. It's comfortable, clean, and easy. You'll find nice details like a windowsill crafted from black walnut harvested and milled on site; plenty of kitchen implements and supplies, and Hudson Valley Seed Library seed packs on your pillows.
Within a short walk or drive from the property you'll find an organic apple orchard and raspberry u-pick (Westwind), a hops farm and brewery (Arrowood), and an herb CSA; multiple streams and swimming holes; a Christmas tree farm; and a small deli. We're a ten- to fifteen-minute drive from the Shawangunk Ridge (Mohonk Preserve, Minnewaska State Park, Sam's Point) and the Ashokan Reservoir, and we're about 30 minutes from Shokan or Boiceville, where you can find Catskills hiking. New Paltz is 25 minutes, Kingston is 30 minutes, and Woodstock is 45 minutes. From the George Washington Bridge in NYC we're exactly two hours. Special thanks to the host, Michael for his thoughtfulness. He contacted me to let me know my iPhone charger left there and offered to mail it back to me. Newly built architect's home on 24 wooded acres in the Hudson Valley - 20 min drive to Mohonk and Minnewaska to the south and Catskills Preserve to the north. Escape the city (and the coronavirus!). Please note we are doing an extra round of disinfecting between guests to ensure everything is sterile.
Downstairs is an open floor plan with floor-to-ceiling windows, locally sourced bluestone floors, bathroom, x-long dining table, energy efficient kitchen. Upstairs a semi-transparent catwalk leads to 2 large loft-style bedrooms (semi-private) with floor-to-ceiling windows, plus full bath w/ soaking tub. The property is set deep in the Catskills' woods. On the property you'll encounter woodpeckers, barred owls, brown thrashers, salamanders, and many other creatures. Maples, oaks, hemlocks, pines, witch hazel and mountain laurels are among the tree and plant varieties.
The house is at the foothills of the Catskills mountains in a beautiful setting in the woods. Please note there is very poor cell service as you arrive, and near the house most people do not have any cell service until they arrive and can get onto the Wifi (and setup Wifi calling on their phones). When you arrive off of Queens Highway, the driveway forks and you will take a LEFT at the fork. Then the driveway takes you up a small hill and around a bend to our house, which you will recognize from the photos.
  • Great cabin in the middle of the woods. Would highly recommend for a nice relaxing getaway from the city.

    Tatparya2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful, stylish, minimal space to enjoy the woods. Full equipped kitchen, outdoor fireplace, huge windows to bring the outside, in. This place is tranquil, meticulously designed, and everything I needed for my overnight getaway. 5 stars!

    Aliza2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Needless to say , the place was even more stunning than the photos. Being designers ourselves we thoroughly enjoyed the attention to detail in the house. We met the owner who thoughtfully left us some cut firewood. All in all a great space and we have already recommended it to a bunch of friends who will be booking a stay :)

If privacy is your thing then this experience is for you. The property is on 5 acres of forest and boasts a private river with waterfall and swimming hole. Plus, an outdoor kitchen, a huge deck, wood fired hot tub, outdoor shower, and trampoline. Located at the end of a cul-de-sac, just the sound of birds and water flowing all day long. Great location for Minnewaska state park, rock climbing at the Gunks, Mohonk Mountain, Westwind Farm, Arrowood Brewery and pick-your-own Kelder's Farm.
The Yurt is 900 sq ft on a 2000 sq ft deck. It has a sleeping loft which can sleep 4 kids/3 adults and a queen sized bed underneath with privacy curtain. In addition, there is a double sofa bed in the communal living space. The bathroom is the only closed in room with a composting toilet and claw foot bath. There is hot and cold running water in the bathroom, kitchen and outdoor shower. We have kitchens both indoors and out as well as tables and chairs for eating both in and out. There is ample of lounging chairs on the deck and lawn plus we have 2 hammocks. The outside kitchen has a 4 burner hob, a Gas grill/oven and a smoker. The hot tub is heated by fire and can hold up to 4 adults comfortably. During the summer most of the day is spent outdoors at the yurt or down by the river, 50 yards walk away. We share our swimming hole with our 3 neighbors so you might not have it completely to yourself but there's plenty of nature to go around! For the kids (of all ages) we have a 15ft trampoline with a safety enclosure. Plus a good supply of outdoor and indoor games. We love our yurt and have slowly built it up over the years with various different pieces of furniture. It is very very comfy but if you like luxury and air-conditioning then this might not be for you. There is no A/C, but the window covers detach and we have several fans. Please remember you are in the middle of the woods, the occasional spider web is unavoidable. The yurt is always clean but nature will prevail! If you love being close to nature but still enjoy creature comforts then you'll love the yurt. Dogs are welcome, there are 5 acres to explore and very little traffic as we are at a dead end.
You are at the end of a dead-end road so there is almost no traffic. It is very private property.
  • Everything is as described and then some. Craig and Pippa reached out several times before, during and after our stay to make sure everything was perfect. Lots of little touches all over the place (fresh batteries, food stores, phone plugs and adapters, etc) and everything had labels and instructions. Everything about this place is amazing, don't hesitate to visit!

    Mike2019-11-24T00:00:00Z

    Adam2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Craig and pippa have built a wonderful getaway, and less than 2 hours from our home in Brooklyn. Just close enough to neighboring shops and markets, secluded enough to feel more or less alone, this is one home we would certainly rent again! It’s perfect for a romantic getaway, or a trip with friends or family (however don’t expect privacy if you travel in a group). One highlight was their outdoor kitchen, which we made use of for every meal over our 5 days stay. Thank you!!!! We hope to be back in the future!

    Hannah2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was our very first Airbnb rental and we couldn’t have been happier. The yurt was clean, well equipped and we especially loved the wood burning stove and hot tub. The few questions we had were quickly answered by our host.we highly recommend !

Bright quiet guesthouse in wooded setting near Minnewaska state park and waterfalls in Kerhonkson
The apartment is a quiet cottage above a storage garage with a lofted ceiling and beautiful windows looking out to the woods. It has a full kitchen with a gas stove. It also has wifi, a TV with ROKU, a badminton net in the yard, and wooded acres of land behind it for a dose of nature.
Just 10 minutes away is a 10 minute hike to an 80 foot waterfall down shaft 2A rd. The cottage is in walking distance of a beautiful rail trail that runs along the rondout creek

We are situated on a secluded, picturesque country road. The setting affords opportunities to experience the mystical lightning bug dance in spring, the starry sky on any clear night, autumn colors, nature's beautiful soundtrack, and the bounty of fields and forests. Our cottage is very cozy. Ideal for anyone who wants easy access to Stone Ridge, New Paltz, High Falls, Rosendale, Kingston, and Woodstock while enjoying the tranquility of sleeping in the woods at night.
A towering Norwegian Spruce marks the entrance to our driveway. The house is situated on 2 acres of mossy meadow and woodlands and is filled with mid-century modern furnishings, vintage artifacts, and art made by family and friends. You will have access to the sunroom where breakfast is served by Melina (IACP award-winning food stylist+chef) the master suite, the deck, picnic table, and grounds. Your accommodation also comes with the option to book a seasonal 3- or 4-course dinner, featuring fresh food grown in our organic+heirloom garden, plus wild+local favorites.
  • We had a great time at Catbird Cottage! Melina and Jim were gracious hosts, extremely accomodating throughout our stay. Everything Melina makes is incredible, we had delicious, farm-fresh and locally foraged breakfasts and a very memorable dinner. I wish we went for the 4-course! The aesthetic throughout the house is beautiful and homey, with a story behind every trinket. Our room was cozy and spacious with charming touches all over. Accord and the neighboring town of High Falls were fun to explore. Melina and Jim are knowledgeable about the area and have plenty of great recommendations. A bonus was the A+ bird watching right in their backyard. We hope to come back some day!

    Elichai2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • In many years of AirBNB, our experience at Melina & Jim's place ranks up there with the very best of them. The property is in a beautiful part of the Catskills, the guest suite is wonderfully relaxing and Melina and Jim made us immediately feel at home. The real highlight was the incredible four-course dinner. I recommend that you book here without a second thought and make sure to ask Melina and Jim about dinner! We'll be back, for sure!

    Christopher2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a quick getaway that’s clean, comfy, and owned by such warm welcoming couple, this is the place to visit. They are extremely friendly, hospitable and truly care about your comfort and happiness. Not to mention the excellent food made from fresh ingredients foraged directly by Melina and Jim. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

    Casson2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful airbnb and hospitality from Melina & Jim. So much that we stayed twice. once in the summer when we were graced by a garden visit and this winter where we were graced by a delicious 3 courses wine pairing dinner in addition to the delicious breakfast included. When booking, make sure to check their instagram and book ahead of time to plan a dinner at your arrival. Best culinary airbnb experience ever! Food is sourced locally from their garden and from local sources. The room itself is beautifully decorated. Needless to say we will be back this summer. It is next to mohonk mountain house so we usually combine a night at both. Wonderful experience and getaway from New York. The easiest way to get there is to get the trailways bus from NYC that stops at New palz then Uber to either location. Enjoy!

  • Catbird Cottage was a dream come true, and Melina + Jim completely exceeded my (already very high) expectations of what a fantastic experience our stay would be. Immediately upon booking, Melina and Jim were incredibly communicative. By the time we arrived at the cottage, it felt like we were being welcomed into an old friend's home. We had booked a 4-course dinner that Melina had tailored to our preferences, and she truly outdid herself. It was hard not to share in her excitement over the creation of new dishes and her care in sourcing certain ingredients. This was definitely the highlight of our trip upstate, and easily the best meal as well, despite seeking out numerous highly rated restaurants in the area. The room itself was amazing and hard to leave - comfy, peaceful and very thoughtfully decorated - but you would be selling yourself short by not booking a custom dinner as well. We can't wait to return again and again and experience the delightful Catbird Cottage through various seasons. Thank you Melina and Jim for your warmth and hospitality!

    Melissa2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Jim and Melina are kind, fun, and inspiring hosts. While staying, I could feel welcomed and cared both through spoken and unspoken words. Space is filled with thoughtfully chosen details that give enjoyable beauty and personality telling hints. I will remember long of the conversation on the breakfast table we had while looking at the bluejays and woodpeckers in their garden.

    Soorim2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Melina is a wonderful host. She is welcoming, helpful and cooked us an amazing breakfast. We had a great time!

  • I have nothing but good things to say about our stay at Catbird Cottage! Melina and Jim are fantastic hosts. Their home is incredibly beautiful and cozy, and the food is unbelievable - don’t hesitate on the added three or four course meal! Melina and Jim are clearly so passionate about the food they prepare and it fills the experience with so much love. We really enjoyed getting to know them during our short stay, and we hope to come back to see another season!

A cozy and secluded log cabin, offering quiet and privacy while only a short drive from upstate hamlets and parks.
A true log cabin, the house features a natural stone fireplace with a wood burning insert which guests may use for ambience. The restful sleeping loft has a queen bed under skylights and is accessible from a short but steep staircase (with hand rails). In the kitchen you'll find all the tools and basic supplies you need to cook a multi-course meal including a dish washer. Guests may help themselves to coffee, tea, butter, jam, oatmeal, etc. There is also a propane grill and a charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal) outside. The bathroom has an antique claw foot tub and a rain maker shower head.
The cabin is two hours from New York City, easily accessible to groceries, restaurants and shops in Stone Ridge, High Falls and Rosendale as well as the larger towns of Kingston, Woodstock and New Paltz. Located on six acres of forest, it is also close to the Minnewaska and Catskill State Parks, and the Ashokan Reservoir. The cabin is about a 26 minute drive to Minnewaska State Park which has many trails and a lake you can hike out to, 20 minutes to Vernooy Kill Trailhead (waterfalls), or 25 minutes to Mohonk Preserve. The Walkill Valley Rail Trail is also about 20 minutes away.
  • We had a wonderful few days at the cabin. Very private and secluded property without being too difficult to reach from NYC. In the winter, the fireplace makes for a perfect excuse to spend an afternoon doing nothing. We managed to do some exploring as well, but we really enjoyed the peace and quiet offered by this space and spent most of our three days just hanging out and relaxing. Terry and Flo were quick and responsive when we had questions. Highly recommend this place, and hope to be back soon!

    Frank2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying in Terry and Flo's delightful cabin in the woods. The space is a quintessential example of a cozy northeastern cabin. It's just the right size, perfectly furnished, and the owners keep it sparkling clean. It was really a joy to sit by the fire and read in pristine silence. The kitchen was very well stocked and equipped; supermarkets are close by and we ended up cooking three delicious dinners and breakfast every day. It is also very close to many winter attractions such as ski resorts, hiking, etc. I can't recommend this cabin highly enough! We will definitely be staying there a third time ... or more!

    Nikta2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Cozy and rustic but not at the expense of modern amenities. Would definitely come back.

    Emil2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Terry's cabin is the perfect getaway! My husband and I stayed here for two nights to get away from city life and it was perfect! The cabin is so relaxing!! The interior is sooo rustic and cozy!!! It very private while not far from some local restaurants and grocery stores. Terry and Flo were always quick to respond to questions! I loved every bit of our stay and plan to come back again!

    Krista2019-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful four-night stay at the cabin. It was the perfect cozy location for unwinding and disconnecting. It has all the character of a log cabin, with all the modern amenities you’d need. The fireplace was great in the evenings and the location was perfect for exploring nearby towns and trails. The cabin looks even better in person than the photos—such a warm, stylish and beautiful space where we truly felt at home. Terry and Flo were so helpful making sure we had everything we needed and we hope to stay here again!

    Kate2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Terry’s cabin! The pictures do not do it justice. It’s warm and cozy with a rustic charm and very clean. Even the wood piles are tidy. We encountered a storm our first night; even with the power outage we were able to enjoy the cabin. It certainly added to the mood of Halloween night! Terry had lanterns at the ready and kept us up to date with realistic expectations regarding the power. There was a gym in town where we were able to shower. After some fun exploring the mine, grabbing some local dinner and ice cream, we returned with lights, heat and water back on. Having power restored for the second night allowed us to appreciate the space even more and discover little details we didn’t see the first night. The fireplace is wonderful and easy to use. All of Terry’s instructions are clear and thorough. The bedroom loft is a cool, unique space and on a clear night you can star gaze through the skylights right from bed. The only challenge for us was the morning with bright beams of sunshine shooting down on us from the skylights. Do bring your eye mask if you’re accustomed to sleeping in dark rooms. A great place to get away; very private and quiet.

  • Terry’s cabin is an amazing place for a quiet and peaceful getaway. The cabin felt extremely private, being completely surrounded by woods however there are still nearby neighbors. I was incredibly impressed with how stylish and comfortable the whole place was. The loft bedroom, spacious kitchen area and living room are great. Self check in was super easy and Terry was quick to communicate whenever needed. The cabin is about a 10-15 minute drive from town and about a 25 minute drive to the Mohonk preserve if you’re looking to catch some great scenery or a hike. Highly recommended for romantic/cozy weekend getaways!

  • Beautiful home. It is super private. The pictures don't do the space justice. Definitely a place I would return to year after year!

During the winter months Guest have access to our downstairs bathroom, Outpost has heating. Very private, next to a creek, camping in a fully set up camp with electricity, oven, re fridge, lights can sleep 6 people in beds additional people, please bring your own camping gear. No running water. Pet friendly. Home to friendly horses, chickens, goat, pigs, puppies, kittens. Access to farm Jacuzzi. Creek does dry up at times.
Sailboat, Trailer, Outpost - this is GLAMOROUS CAMPING! You have an indoor kitchen, and a well maintained Port O San, all on a private strip of land in between a beautiful stream and a row of trees bordering the main horse coral. You have access to the farms' walking trails, hot tub and bonfire area. If you have never gone camping before, come stay at the Outpost, it is a campsite already set up. I was 30 the first time I camped and I loved it! It is an amazing experience to be so close to nature, it is hard to explain, you just have to try it, more glamorous than camping, you will love it! The boat can sleep one couple in its’ cabin, the heated Trailer has a bedroom with a full bed and the kitchen has a fold out full bed. If you like you can bring your own tents and sleep even more people. If you are a group of over 6 people, please tell us about yourself and your intentions as we want to make sure that fun is had in safety and peace. My husband and I are hippies at heart, okay, maybe we even look the part sometimes, but we are also the Captain of the ship and want to make sure everyone will get home safely. The sail boat is dry docked; literally, it looks like a dock by the sea. There is a set of stairs that take you from the tent platform up to the boat. The boat has a custom built roof and romantic wind, water and sun screen. It has a small cabin with a skylight, lined with a foam mattress, a super comfy, cozy place to sleep. Up on deck you can sun yourself and image that you really are sailing as the boat gently sways in the wind (it is slung between posts so it can rock). The 50's style Trailer, is right out of a film set, with black and white checkered floor and red polka dot curtains. The heated trailer is your indoor kitchen with a 4 burner cook top and oven, refrigerator and microwave. There is no water hook up to the trailer so no running water. We provide you with a 5 gallons of water which we can help you to refill. On cold rainy days you will have refuge. When you rent the Outpost both trailer and boat are yours. The trailer opens onto the meditation/yoga deck. Just 10' from the stream. This part of the stream has a deep area where you can swim. The stream can dry up sometimes, so no guarantees. • I really enjoyed my short stay at the farm! Tim was an excellent host, he made fantastic coffee and breakfast, and we also had great conversation. I loved walking around the farm and interacting with the animals - it was very peaceful. I hope to return!

  • In the dead of winter, sick of (and from) the city, T's place was a cozy and heartwarming respite for me, my dog, and my three best friends on a last minute birthday trip. We loved roasting sausages by the fire we made, hanging together in the hot tub, and stretching on the platform next to the stream. We didn't mind at all having to go up to the main house to use the restroom or take lightning-quick showers (trying to save well water), and we loved playing with the puppy. It was nice to have privacy in our own spot, but also friendly interactions with people in the main house. I was particularly moved that on the day of his wedding (which also happened to be my birthday), T made breakfast for us. The hospitality and communal feeling is strong and nourishing after the harsh interactions of city life. Of course, one highlight is the surrounding area. I recommend hiking in Minnewaska State Park, and I have rarely seen something as beautiful the StonyKills Falls (on my birthday everything was frozen (icicles were hanging in gorgeous patterns along the stone) and covered in snow. It looked like Narnia.) And when we were too hungry to cook after all that hiking, Rough Trade Brewery was a very warm and welcome respite. Thanks everyone. Hope we'll see you again!

  • This stay was an incredible oasis. The host is wonderful and the surrounding area, near and in the mountains is gorgeous. A great rustic getaway with genuine people.

  • Special location. very friendly host. Highly recommended.

    Boudewijn2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing spot - serene - with just the sound of the stream and an occasional galloping horse on the distant field. The Host was super kind. Goat, chickens, horse, rabbits - very friendly as well. Hot tub - fantastic! Great stay.

  • The little green outpost camper was great! Very secluded. Perfect fire pit with a cozy bench and a large wood deck near a babbling brook! Or creek. Or stream? U get the idea... even had a bbq pit we could use! (And we will next time) parking was about 100 yards away where the portapotty was (super clean). Easy flat grassy walk. They have a handy cart for your stuff. The camper had a. Fun style. Retro. Clean. Perfect space for 2 people. Was chili at first but once the radiator heater was on for a while it was fine. Super laid back hosts that treated you like family. A very ‘what’s mine is yours’ attitude. We stayed in a couple of campers on this trip and this one was our favorite!!

    Danelle2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay with stunning simplicity.

    Camo2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • If you come with an adventurous spirit and the right provisions, this is a fun place to stay (especially for wannabe campers like our family with kids). We recommend bringing (or gathering) kindling and firewood & supplies to make s’mores. Although the portapotty is a short walk from the trailer, it was fantastically clean and fresh. If weather allows, bring a tent for extra space. Our family of four squeezed in and had fun using this place as a base for day hikes in the Minnewaska State Park (where they have a gorgeous clear lake for swimming and cooling off after a hike) and Mohonk Preserve (we suggest going to West Trapps to see the rock climbers). The kids had fun splashing in the adjacent creek and seeing the horses, rabbits, goat, baby chicks and ducklings, and the owner’s golden retrievers.

  • This is a great house - small but with a great lay out and super cozy. Loved the location! We spent Christmas here so no chance to use the swimming pool and tennis court but would definitely return in summer to take advantage of that as well. Check in etc was easy and everyone was super responsive.

  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay in the apartment at Tim’s place. It’s a clean, simple, cozy space with everything you need. We cooked some great meals on the burners, made a couple fires at the outdoor fire pit, and enjoyed the hot tub, exploring the property, and meeting the many friendly animals. Tim and Jan were hospitable and responsive. No snow this weekend, but after just 20 minutes’ drive up into Mohonk we were in a winter wonderland.

    Julia2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • A great host! The photos are older, the place has been updated and looks great. Tim was super friendly and very accommodating! He also mentioned to us that they are adding more animals and cheese making in the near future

    Gershon2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect space for our very brief stay! We only wish we could have spent more time on the property (there’s so much to explore and the scenery is absolutely gorgeous!) T was incredibly gracious about accommodating our last-minute booking and very late check in (we arrived at 130am!). The apartment was clean, tidy, and warm (a plus in the frigid weather) We will definitely be back for a longer stay in the future.

  • Went up for the weekend with my wife and our 9-month old puppy. The farm is a wonderfully isolated and serene place to get away for the weekend. Tim was extremely friendly and greeted us upon arrival as did one of his golden retrievers! There are a ton of animals that roam around and greet you at every turn. Definitely a must-do trip for animal lovers! We went hiking in the nearby Minnewaka State park and took our pup who loved seeing some nature. Highly recommend this place to stay and location!

The Blackberry Barn is on 7 acres w/ 1 bedroom & 2 sleeping lofts, 1.5 baths, stone fireplace, pond w/ canoe, and a full kitchen. Only 90 miles from NYC & 10 minutes from Minnewaska and Mohonk! The Barn is self service. To keep the rental costs down, some amenities (such as linens) are NOT included, but can be arranged for an small add’l fee. Garbage/recycling included. Need a private place to wait out covid19? We will consider longer term rentals for a discount. Message if interested.
Located between the Catskill and Shawangunk Mountains, Blackberry Barn's unique architecture features a beautifully preserved turn-of-the-century barn renovated into lofted living and sleeping spaces. The Barn is minutes from Mohonk Preserve and Minnewaska State Park, and a quick drive from New Paltz, Rosendale, High Falls, Woodstock, and Stone Ridge. This beautiful area offers access to excellent outdoor activities and has many great restaurants, galleries, and shopping. The Gunks feature some of the best rock climbing in the country. Please note that the barn is a rustic cabin-like space, in the truest sense. If you are looking for a polished rental with stainless steel appliances, or are looking for something that looks like a barn but has hotel amenities, I guarantee you, this is not the right place for you. The barn is purposely low tech. We have a huge VHS collection, an original Atari console, and large record collection. There is no cable, no internet. We have hundreds of books. Salvaged stain glass windows are installed inside throughout. The interior is eclectic, unique and wonderful. But it isn't for everyone and we want to be honest about that! Please read all our reviews and read the listing fully to get a sense of whether the Barn is the right fit for you. This space is very special and unique, and while not for everyone, is beloved by many, who return year after year. Dogs are welcome at the Barn for additional fee of $25 per night, per pup. If this sounds like your kinda place, we look forward to hearing from you! THE BARN IS SELF SERVICE. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? In an effort to keep rental costs low, the Barn is self service. Guests generally provide their own linens and towels, however we can provide them should you wish for a charge of 10/per person. Guests should also plan to bring their own dish soap, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels and drinking water. There are many locations close by that will have these items should you forget to bring them with you. We have soft water, and while perfectly safe, doesn’t taste good, and has a sulphur smell/taste. We DO provide blankets and pillows for all guest stays. We have wood for use in the fire place and fire pit on site available for $5 per armful on the honor system. Let us know how much you use after your stay and I’ll send a request through Airbnb, or leave cash on the counter when you check out. Garbage and recycling should be placed in the bins at the top of the driveway upon check out. For more info and pictures, please visit our website which you can find by googling Blackberry Barn and Kerhonkson. Please note that the Hudson Valley has a high prevalence of ticks. They cannot survive indoors for more than 24 hours without a host. As our property is in the country, in the middle of a field, we recommend that you do tick checks frequently and use bug spray! The Hudson valley is an amazing place to visit so don’t let the fear of ticks deter you! An ounce of prevention and common sense go a long way!
The area surrounding the barn is rural, but not remote. We do have neighbors, but our location is private.

  • The barn is just as described, I stayed with a couple of friends and had no issues. It’s a great quiet location close to a state where park. The water had a strong sulfur smell, so keep that in mind, we didn’t have a problem with that at all and enjoyed our stay!

Enter through antique doors into a four-season barn conversion centering on a classic stone fireplace. Exposed timbers of a trussed ceiling add a rustic flavor. There's a full modern kitchen as well as plenty of room to entertain family and friends. The kitchen, living room & dining room are on the second floor of the house providing views into the woods surrounding the house.
Our modern barn conversion is the perfect 4 season retreat in the Hudson Valley. Just 2 hours from NYC, our home is set on 3 acres of woodland and surrounded by protected forest and nature preserves. Close to Woodstock, Saugerties, New Paltz, Stone Ridge, and endless outdoor activities. You will enter our property through a 6 foot privacy gate built to keep the deer out and the dogs in. The circular gravel drive way has plenty of parking space for up to 6 cars. The 19th century carved wood doors salvaged from a prison in Southern France lead to our beautifully renovated barn with hand hewn timbers and wide-plank pine floors. A spiral staircase leads to the bright and airy top floor where you'll find living, dining and kitchen areas with mountain views and exposed beams. The kitchen is equipped with cooking essentials and ample space to prepare meals on the soapstone counters and stainless steel island. The open floor plan leads to the living and dining rooms furnished with a mix of modern and vintage pieces. The centerpiece of the living room is the wood burning fireplace built with fieldstone harvested from the property. A spacious deck is just off the living room with comfortable seating and a propane grill. There is a full bath upstairs with soapstone counters and Carrara marble. The unique upside down layout of our home keeps the 3 bedrooms on the main floor cool in the summer and cozy in the winter. The first bedroom has a queen size bed. The second bedroom has a full bed. The third bedroom has a comfortable queen size sleeper sofa with access to the patio. We also have a pack and play for the little ones. The large, first floor full bath has a full size tub and beautiful Carrara marble. The backyard has a large bluestone patio with an outdoor dining table and lounge chairs. The original barn door slides open to reveal an outdoor dart board and the old outhouse holds more yard games. The fire pit in the back yard was built with fieldstone harvested from the property.
The barn is close to Stone Ridge, High Falls, Kingston, New Paltz, Woodstock, Saugerties, and Hudson. Enjoy outdoor activities like skiing, hiking, climbing, canoeing, and swimming. Surrounding towns are full of locally owned shops and eateries.
  • The house is absolutely gorgeous and charming! Perfect for our winter escape! The hosts were so nice, we could do a late checkout and they were really reactive when we had a small issue (locking by mistake the bathroom door from the outside...our fault!) The house is perfect for 2 couples and 1-2 kids. There is two nice room for adults and one room with a sofa-bed but it was perfect for the kiddo we had with us.

  • My friends & I had a great weekend staying at Cristin & Erik's place. Home is warm & cozy and has everything you need. We were especially impressed with the kitchen which really has everything you need to cook nice meals.

  • Our week in the Catskills was the perfect tonic of relaxation, snow fun, hiking, and great eat-our options. Erik & Kristen’s cabin was just as the pictures portray it - full of charm. A home from home. Would definitely stay again.

    Laura2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Loved how cozy and secluded the place was. Our favorite spot in the entire house was their living room with a fireplace and cozy couches and foot rests. Very well thought out and so much character.

    Dechen2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home, thoughtful hosts, great decor and comfy beds! Just a note: the living room and kitchen are on the second floor, so anyone traveling with a baby/toddler will want to bring a baby gate for the stairs.

    Adina2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the cabin with my girlfriends. We loved the decor and coziness of the house . Definitly would recomend it!

  • Spent a winter week in this lovely home. Thoughtfully furnished and well designed space made for a very relaxing stay. Great kitchen for cooking. Would love to return in the warmer months to make use of the deck and well landscaped yard. Appreciated the stately fence/gates, making the home super quiet and private.

Wake up to serene forest views from the modern, minimal four-poster, then start the day with a scenic woodland hike. Tour local breweries and browse nearby flea markets before lighting the fire and snuggling up under typical wooden ceilings.
We love that our home has all the qualities of a classic cabin in the woods — an A-frame shape, wood-plank ceilings, forest views from every room — while still appealing to the sensibilities of modern, urban travelers. This is the perfect spot to get a little dose of summer camp nostalgia, while keeping every modern comfort close at hand. Barbecue on the porch or gather around the outdoor fire pit in the summer and into the fall. In the winter, get cozy in front of the wood-burning stove and take in the snowy woodland landscape.
The cabin is located in the hamlet of Marbletown, at the southern edge of Catskill Park. The property is nestled between the many farms, orchards, and preserves of the Rondout Valley and the protected mountains and woodlands of the Catskills.
  • If only we could have stayed there for much much longer. An extraordinary beautiful haven in the woods that didn't only provide comfort but with its style became a great source of inspiration. Barclay was a great host and we felt well cared for. Thank you!

    Liane2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect cabin for a weekend getaway!

    Ann2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was amazing, the house was spotless and very stylish. Barclay was an amazing host and always responsive to answer my million questions! We have found a jewel away from home and will definitely be back :-)

    Kariane2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • WONDERFUL! Beautiful aesthetically but also highly functional. Had everything we needed for a cozy weekend including cooking a couple of meals. Barclay was super responsive and even helped us out with grocery and activity recommendations. It's rural but if you're headed upstate you already know you're going to be a 10-20-min drive from whatever you seek -- that's the point. :)

    Samantha2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay at the cabin! Would absolutely return!! It was clean, cozy and stylish.

  • Great location! Just a little bit of a walk to Stoney kill falls. Hot tub was amazing to have. Communication with Jan was seamless and lots of cute touches in the house (movies, decorations). The beds were extremely comfortable! Highly recommend.

  • You can expect whatever you want here. I enjoyed a family trip for a night and it was awesome. You can enjoy the fresh air and calm atmosphere.

  • The Stony Kill Ranch exceeded our expectations. Was a quick drive from the city and so convenient to things yet felt secluded. Jan was very receptive and quick to responds when we had a question. We enjoyed the hot tub every night and was able to hike to the falls, even after a snow storm. Would definitely recommend staying here and will be back again soon.

    Joshua2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • The stone Kill ranch is a perfect place for a weekend getaway! My friends and I came from New York City and settled in right away. There was a big kitchen for us to cook and we were close (10 minutes) to local breweries and cideries. There was also a beautiful hike that is highly recommended. Of course the hot tub was a huge hit as well. If you are going during the winter, make sure you have a car with four wheel drive or is good in the snow. If you have any questions or concerns, Jan was extremely helpful and responded quickly. Overall, an awesome trip!

    Alex2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great space, short distance to trails and a waterfalls in the area. The house is spacious and lovely. Really enjoyed all the books, the hot tub and the wood stove in the living room was crucial! Definitely recommend.

This home is the largest of 3 structures situated on 1.5 acres of beautiful woodlands in between Minnewaska State Park and The Catskills. Hiking, swimming, farms, nurseries, antique shops all within a short drive. It's a great space for a young couple or close friends who want to get away from city annoyances. When it's not being rented, this home is my primary residence, so it has a bit of a "lived-in" feel.
Huge elm and pine trees come right up to the house. There's a great front porch, equipped with swing and "ring-and-hook" game. Out back there is another deck with a propane grill, a table, and built in benches, and a cozy sauna where you can stay warm and enjoy some of the winter scenery. Humming birds, deer, turtles, and other wild life are not uncommon. Inside there is a modern dining room with open kitchen. You can use gas stove/oven or the propane grill out back to cook a meal after grocery shopping at Saunderskill Farms. Kick back in the living room and have a fire in the wood burning stove, or have a fire outside in the fire pit (make sure you know where the fire extinguisher is and do not leave unattended). You will have access to one semi-private bedroom upstairs. It's more like a lofted bedroom with an open wall. It's not the most private setup but would be great for a couple or close friends. The full bathroom with bath tub, shower, and washer dryer is located downstairs. * Please be aware there is a security camera looking out onto the parking area and exterior of the buildings for safety and insurance purposes.
Some of my favorite things in the area are The Accord Speedway, Helena Pierogies, Catskill Native Nursery, Arrowood Farm Brewery, Saunderskill Farms, and Skate Time 209. High Falls and Stone Ridge are both a 5 min drive. It's also short drive to everything in the Hudson Valley -- Woodstock, Lake Minnewaska, the Mohonk Preserve... tons of great breweries, restaurants, and hikes everywhere.
  • The space is lovely (larger than expected!), and incredibly cozy -- we enjoyed a really wonderful weekend here, and Jordan was an excellent and communicative host. There are so many great places to eat and explore nearby. Highly recommend!

The house is very unique, charming, artistically decorated and about 950 sqft in size. There's a wood burning stove in the living room (in addition to central heat) and hardwood floors all throughout the house. The kitchen has all basic amenities: gas stove, fridge and refrigerator as well as water cooker, toaster, and a high power blender. Guests are welcome to use all the kitchenware but are expected to provide their own food. The bedroom and full bathroom are located upstairs. The bedroom has a queen size bed with cotton bedsheets, spacious closet, nightstands and window blinds. The house is located on a 23 acres of wooded land, on a scenic country road by the Rochester Creek. There's a path across from the house and barns that will lead you all the way down to the water and from there, about 200 yards up the stream you'll find the nearest swim-hole. There are lots of near by trails to hike as well. Within a short drive you'll find 2 farm-to-table restaurants, serving amazing food, organic cider & craft beer: Westwind Pizza/Apple Orchard, Arrowood Brewery & Hollengold Farm.

The Timberframe is a handmade seasonal building with a full size memory foam bed on the same property as the main house with its own Airbnb available. It was my Old Painting Studio. Timberframe not fully insulated, but has a Propane Heater that works well. The Bathroom is in the Main House only 30 feet away. Our Boodle Hole Beach is 4 min car ride away..beautiful refreshing stream, 13 acres..
The Timberframe is hand built and carved. It was my original painting studio that I turned into a guest space. It is not fully insulated so it works best March through end of Nov depending on the weather and your cold tolerance. It has a Big Buddy Propane heater, a small fridge, coffee maker, extra blankets and a very comfortable bed. Fire pit right outside and 2 min car ride to our other property Boodle Hole beach 13 acres with a stream.
The Hudson Valley is truly one of the most beautiful areas ( and i have traveled). This area is not only gorgeous but we live in a very artistic and conscious community.
  • Nancy and her partner were very nice, welcoming and pet friendly. We stayed her Timberframe at the end of February and their propane heater kept the place warm. Great hosting, unique, cozy, stylish spot. Would go back !

    Erika2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy is a lovely host! The timber frame is a lovely space for a getaway. I woke up to the sound of birds and the sunrise peaking through the top window. The space was setup with everything I could have needed. A perfect spot for my pup and I to stay😊

    Alexis2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very cute little spot! We had a restful night with our dog, Nancy was very friendly and helpful, and it was super easy to get into the city. Also, beautiful art! Thanks!!!

  • Nancy and Paul are a delight and staying here is an experience in the most wonderful way. The property (both the main house and Boodle Beach) are gorgeous and filled with so many thoughtful touches. Nancy and Paul are warm and welcoming! Our stay was so enriching, this place is a hidden gem for sure.

  • Nancy is the coolest! Her space is open and loving. We had the best time staying in the tiny cabin.

    Suzanna2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy and Paul were impeccable hosts! I mentioned wanting to start a bonfire when we get there and it was already lit for us when we arrived. They were extremely hospitable- made sure everything was clean and ready for us, quickly replaced the tank when the heater was out of gas, told us about the area and gave us suggestions on where to go/what to see, and even made us coffee in the morning. Nancy is an incredible artist and she showed us her art and they both shared their amazing stories. We came from Manhattan and this trip served to be the perfect gataway with amazing scenery. Definitely will be going back. Thanks again for everything Nancy and Paul!

    Nina2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This little A-frame was a great place the spend the night. The surrounding area is gorgeous, and the Boodle Hole made a great walk for us and our dog. Nancy gave us some solid tips around the town, including a brewery where we spent the evening. I'm generally skeptical of artists, but Nancy's art is also haunting and top-notch—really enjoyed getting a chance to take a look at it.

This mountain house is a haven for the modern pioneer.
The creation of a NYC magazine editor, this home is design forward. The house, nestled in a serene spot in the woods, may make it so you'll never want to leave, but if you do head out exploring, it's just a 10-minute drive to Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Preserve (hiking, swimming, biking, rock climbing). There are countless farm stands, breweries, local restaurants (including Westwind Orchard where the wood-fire pizza is a must!), twisty hiking trails and secret swimming holes within a few minutes. Or you can venture 20 minutes to Kingston, Woodstock, or other classic upstate towns where the chances to discover your new favorite place are endless.
  • We absolutely LOVED our stay! The house and location were just perfect. Andrea could not have been lovelier to communicate with and the house was so thoughtfully appointed. We had a weekend home in the area for many years, and I can say that Andrea's list of recommendations is spot on. She thought of every detail to make such a modern, eco home also incredibly warm and inviting. I reached out to her a few times for design tips :) We were there with my in-laws and two teenage kids and we didn't want to leave. Thank you!

    Monique2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This house is incredible. We loved the design touches and the thoughtful hospitality. We were so pleased with our trip we began day dreaming about buying a property of our own in the area. I strongly recommend staying here and look forward to doing so ourselves again soon.

  • Our stay in Kerhonkson was such a joy. The house is nicely tucked into a wooded area and the outdoor relaxing spaces face only trees and nature. Each section of the house is private and peaceful. It allowed us to be there with a few people and also have moments of quiet personal space. There is everything you need within the house and nothing you don’t. It made our time there seem like a retreat. Andrea is a very gracious host and made sure we were comfortable at any time. She welcomed us as a friend would and offered a wonderful list of foods and hikes around the area to experience. The location is ideal for connecting to farmstands, various hikes and outdoor activities, also town amenities if needed. I would highly recommend this stay and hope to return again.

  • Awesome place with a great place. Almost felt like a photoshoot studio.

    Gene2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This property is stunning, so clean, and it is a great place to take a quick break away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are so many special touches all around the house that really make you feel like you’re in a one of a kind place. The architecture of the home is incredibly well put together and designed and has a great open floor plan. Andrea is a very welcoming, gracious host who provides amazing recommendations for the area (including great breweries and restaurants) and was very quick to respond to any questions we had during our stay. There are also so many great trails and reservoirs around the area as well (which Andrea was kind enough to point us in the direction of). We look forward to the opportunity to stay here again soon. Thank you again!

  • Andrea’s home is jaw droppingly gorgeous — you will be inspired to build your own dream home! And yes there is a tap in the ceiling in the master bath as another review mentions, as well as a great big kitchen and bar seating. So many thoughtful touches including a much appreciated bottle of local wine on arrival. Communication was great and we felt very welcome indeed. Perfectly located for easy access to Minnewaska, Mohonk, Saunderskill Farm and the towns for Accord, Stone Ridge, High Falls and Kingston, and only 2 hours from the city. We are big fans of the area. There are family board games for anyone traveling with children and a lot of space outside to run around safely. The house stays cool even in warmer weather and there are plenty of fans when needed. I highly recommend a stay at Andrea’s!

  • I cannot recommend this beautiful home highly enough. It is perfectly located within 15 minutes of so many amazing places to visit and to eat and drink. We hiked, visited farm shops and spent a glorious afternoon at Westwind Orchards drinking cider and eating wood-fired pizza all on Andrea’s amazing recommendations. Andrea was incredibly responsive and helpful and made our stay so special. We were six people with three infants so the house was at maximum capacity but suited us perfectly. We absolutely adored our time there - we grilled local meats and ate outside every night, gorged on blueberry soft serve and adored cooking in the amazingly designed open kitchen. The house has all the amenities you could need. We can’t wait to come back, thank you Andrea!

  • Andrea is an excellent host -- very responsive and will provide great local suggestions. If you are looking for a minimalist modern house in the woods, this is the place. The large kitchen area allows for great entertaining and between the fireplace, outdoor fire-pit and large outdoor dining area, it's ideal for hanging out with friends.

The large sunny studio sits on a wooded lot on a quiet road. Combined with the open floor plan the brand new kitchen and renovated stone and raw beam constructed bathroom provides a modern/country retreat. Great hikes and restaurants abound!
This cabin is clean, spacious and well-equipped. It's a beautiful structure and offers a wonderful space for solace. There is an antique writing desk and very comfortable furniture. Not to mention friendly people and a HUGE array of things to do in nearby towns! Quietly nestled on the Shawangunk Mountain ridge facing the Catskill Mountain Park, this rustic, cabin-like studio is minutes from the Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Preserve hikes and surrounding villages. The rental is situated in the Hudson Valley near New Paltz and Rosendale (which offer a variety of mountain shopping, restaurants, and recreation) and the Rondout Valley farm communities of Stone Ridge and High Falls (each with fabulous restaurants, antique shops, farm stands, and outdoor opportunities). Close to ski mountains. Hike or Bike down old carriage trails. Swim in the rushing Rondout Creek or jump off rock cliffs into pools of water. Enjoy fall foliage sightseeing, or hiking through autumn colored rail trails. Some of the best rock climbing in the world.
We moved to the Hudson Valley after traveling around the US and Canada because we love the natural beauty and the great little towns with wonderful restaurants. We now spend as much time as possible in the surrounding mountain trails and swimming holes, with our two young children. We really enjoy all of the farm stands and focus on local shopping. Each season in the Hudson Valley is more beautiful than the next.
  • Cute little cabin in the woods, perfect weekend getaway from the city :)

  • Perfect cabin for a quiet, cozy get away! The studio style provides great light through out the space. Although the cabin is next to Nicole’s home, we did not hear or see anyone. I recommend it for a couple or a friend get away! Dog friendly is also a perk!

  • Nicole's place was wonderful! It's a very spacious cabin, beautifully designed with a very natural feel. It felt very cozy. Well equipped kitchen. The gas heater made it very warm. Excellent location for someone interested in exploring the Minnewaska state park and the surrounding towns. Nicole's cats were adorable. They were hanging out outside the house and came up to greet me and cuddle. The cabin is located close to Nicole's house, but Nicole gave me all the privacy.

  • Great place! Much bigger than expected. Close to host's home but far enough away that it feels completely private. Trust the local recommendations they provide!

  • Staying here was so great! We read the excellent reviews and loved the value so immediately booked. We were in the area for NY Sheep & Wool Festival and it was about 50 min from the fairgrounds but the drive was very easy. It was also very close to a variety of restaurants so that was convenient. The farm was very quiet and relaxing. Tina was very prompt in responding to any questions we had and was very concerned with our comfort level which was so nice. The camper was clean and cozy. It was exactly what we were looking for. We would definitely stay again!

    Adrienne2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place to relax and be in nature. Tina and Tom were very hospitable. They even brought us fresh organic veggies from the garden! The RV was sparkling clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend!

Most wonderful and friendly hosts, lovely animals to pet, fresh veggies from the garden and a lot of space, trails, streams, swimming hole, woods to explore, fire pit. We plan to come back in the future!

    Tracy2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Tom and Tina were such wonderful hosts! Tina was so hospitable and went above and beyond for us! She gave us detailed instructions for how to get to the swimming hole and lake, gave us fresh eggs and veggies for breakfast, and told us all about her animals. We only wish we could have stayed longer! I highly recommend this spot and we will definitely be staying here the next time we’re in the area!
