  • A fun getaway place. We felt rested and relaxed after two carefree days at the Black A-Frame. Clean and comfortable. We loved the new heated chairs on the deck...perfect for late night drinks and star gazing.

  • House and amenities were exactly as described! We loved being cozy by the fire and cooking. Bed was super comfortable. Jeremy responded to our messages (before and during stay) lightning fast. Really couldn’t ask for anything more.

  • A beautiful A-Frame Cabin in the woods that was exactly as depicted in the pictures on AirbnB and Instagram. Stunning natural light through the windows, a lovely fireplace. This is the place to decompress, chill and enjoy time together. We had a lovely weekend away! A few helpful pieces of feedback for fellow travelers: - I was impressed by how clean the place was, particularly bathrooms & kitchen (by far the cleanest I've seen an AirBnb) - The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots & pans, dinnerware etc. Only thing missing was supplies such as aluminum foil or plastic wrap etc (no biggie) - Water - as the cabin is on a well/septic system you can't drink the tap water and when we arrived there was only a small amount of drinking water left in the Brita system in the fridge. The spring water tap isn't a far drive and was easy to access but we definitely wish we had been made aware to get some before arrival and/or that the Brita was full. - Clean and comfy beds & bedding - such a treat! - Fireplace was lovely and such a central point of our evenings with firewood supplied. - As the place is booked continuously, we had the cleaning company knocking on the door at 12:00pm sharp on our checkout day. We were a bit surprised by the promptness right at noon and having people appear before we left, but as checkout is noon we were packing up our bags to leave anyways as we should. I would definitely recommend the cabin for anyone looking to escape the city! Thank you Jeremy!

**The house consists of 4 pods as is in the Bali tradition and there they are connected by walkways , all off which we have enclosed to protect from the elements. However the halls being not heated / insulated so walking from the bedroom to the kitchen/ dining in the inter you might feel cold. Our family & many renters are totally ok with this but please consider it for yourself:)** Enveloped by 7.5 acres of woodland, private pond and grassy pasture,it will lull you into its haven. It's the perfect marriage of the organic materials , handmade craftsmanship and the location that set you up in the peaceful state of mind when you spend some time here. After few hours here your body clock settles into a restful pace. I'm still not sure wether it is the memories of vacations in Bali or Thailand that get waken up while I'm here or the serene location or maybe there are some magnetic fields deep under ground, but I tell you, I sleep better here than anywhere else. Comfort, serenity & feelings of well being radiate in this place...Of course the super fast internet, Apple TV, 55" HDTV, luxurious bathtub next to the fireplace, the chefs kitchen : You should find in the kitchen most everything you could possibly need to create memorable meals. The pond is spring fed ( go for a swim ) , there is place for all your vehicles , your mobile phones will work just fine . With imported materials from Indonesia, it was built by hand by the inhabitants of Bali. I think we have covered everything but if you are our guest or just browsing and see something missing or think it can be improved , please let us know...Piotr and Kay. Don't forget the farm stands and swimming holes and Lake Minnewaska. The premises are equipped with exterior security cameras. Cameras are not monitored for guest safety in any way and should not be relied on by guests for personal security or security of their belongings. Cameras may be used to enforce and verify compliance with rental policies. Any damage caused to cameras by guest may result in a partial or complete loss of security deposit funds.
Please respect our home and our neighbors, The Bali House is a quiet sanctuary, if you are planning to party, carry on loud gatherings or any other excessive noise activities, this is not the house for it. Hiking, fishing, rock climbing, antiquing or getting pampered at Mohonk Mountain House Spa. The house is located in the middle of a completely private lot, you drive down a tree lined road and then turn into a 1000' driveway further lined with mature trees & lawns. The property is a home to abundance of bird species and you'll hear them singing as you drive in.
  • My friends and I had a great time in Piotr and Kay's home. The design and environment of their house was exceptionally special. I would definitely return again and recommend this to anyone interested in a unique experience.

  • This house is beautiful and unique and a perfect long weekend getaway from the city. Communications from host are detailed and timely. Place is exactly as pictured, is clean, and fully stocked with amenities as described. Had a wonderful time and will be back!! Thank you very much Piotr and Kay!

  • A woodland sanctuary. Absolutely stunning and peaceful place to stay with an incredibly unique design and atmosphere. Owners are also wonderful and quick responders. Thank you so much for our stay!

  • Absolutely amazing. Cleanliness: Great. Everything was clean and organized. But what I really loved was that they provided extra supply so that we can help keep it clean! Some places just offer the bareboned accessories but wont leave any supplies to clean, which ends up in a much bigger mess. Thoughtfulness: They left a nice gift as a surprise for us when we arrived. We really appreciated that. Amazing location. Beautiful house. We came in the winter and everything was appropriately warmed. It was a nice quiet NYE indoors, with a working fireplace and a jacuzzi. Answered very promptly every time a question came up. Very reliable. Would absolutely recommend this place!

  • Very unique home in a beautiful, quiet setting. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire place! The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook big meals and there was lots of space for our group of 8. Piotr and Kay were very easy to get in touch with. We enjoyed the stay very much!

  • Beautiful unique home, perfect for our weekend artist retreat birthday celebration. Piotr and Kay were super responsive to any questions. We hope to return sooner than later!

  • its exactly as advertised but worth nothing that its a significantly enhanced experience in warm vs cold weather, which is what we had. highly recommend visiting during the warmer months.

    Allie2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Piotr and Kay’s place is a magical escape. The house is full of beautiful details like carvings on the doors and columns out on the patio. From large, well equipped kitchen and a grill to make large meals to a hot tub facing a lake-the amenities are great! Before our stay, Piotr and Kay have been very helpful and sent us a comprehensive list of things to do in the area and during our stay they have been very responsive. Would recommend this special place without hesitation!

  • Awesome place - fantastic design touches and ample amenities that aren't listed in description. Perfect weekend getaway from NYC/Boston. Huge props to the management company and the owners for doing such a great job. FYI: place is far from everyday conveniences, so make sure you pack wisely before heading on up.

  • We had such a wonderful time at Ethan and Wray's! The hot tub was set and ready for us to dip in! The house was so warming and comfortable that we didn't want to leave. We had troubles with our rental car and couldn't leave the vicinity as planned,, but they were so accommodating while we figure it out with the rental car company. Many thanks for their wonderful hospitality.

  • Stylish and amazing house! We loved the hot tub and private yoga teacher.

    Holly2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful winter getaway! It snowed one night and a company had plowed the dirt road in the morning so it was nice that we didn't have to deal with shoveling! It was just 2 of us but plenty of space for more people. We had a very relaxing time and the listing was spot on. Cozy, peaceful, secluded. We got our groceries before so we could spend a few days without going anywhere! Easy check in/check out. Plenty of fun DVDs and books. Kitchen had plenty of cookware and sharp knives, which I think are few and far between in rental properties. Very responsive when we had questions! We actually wanted to extend our stay but they already had someone coming in. Would recommend and hope we can stay again!

Starting April 2nd, we're looking for guests who can stay for at least a month or more. The house now has wifi. Michelle and I's house shares 5-acres with the tiny house, so it's a beautiful and secluded setting. Nearby: Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk Preserve, & Rail Trails. Any weekend or short-term instant bookings for April & May will most likely be cancelled to accommodate a long term guest. We wish everyone safety and love during these times. Reach out for pricing.
With our goal of healthy living, the house is equipped with an organic king mattress (yes! king bed in a tiny house!), organic sheets, and organic pillows. The couch futon is also organic wool with natural latex. No off-gassing materials in the home. All the cabinetry and woodworking is custom--we hope you'll enjoy the love that was put into our first home. We're so excited to add that the tiny house is now solar-powered! Thank you to all our guests for staying with us and supporting our family and homestead!
Tranquil and quiet 5-acre setting with 250 ft of Wallkill River frontage. Luckily situated on a river bend.

  • I went up to T’s space for a short trip with my partner and our pup. It was such a great getaway. The Yurt is very cool, very warm, very cozy. We loved it. Our pup had a great time running around and exploring with the other dogs on the farm. We also spent some time with the farm animals and hanging out in the hot tub. It was as private as we needed and I appreciated how open and communicative T was. Thanks for a great trip!

    Lynsey2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • The farm is a truly special place and our stay at the yurt was absolutely lovely, especially right after the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Tim was a most gracious host, along with all of his animal counterparts and Cal (one of the pups on the farm) was great company during our stay! There's lots to explore right on the farm, as well as a bunch of great hikes nearby and New Paltz is a quick ride away for some delicious bites and beers! Can't wait to head back!

    Stephanie2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt is magical.

  • An absolutely peaceful and beautiful place to visit. Just a wonderful accommodation, wonderful hosts, and farm animals! I have visited before and am genuinely sad each time I leave to head back to the city. Staying here really gives you such an appreciation for nature and the stars! You can't see a third as many stars in NYC. Such a blissful place. I can't wait to visit again.

This is an old, renovated milk barn on a working farm. Both of the sleeping spaces are lofts that require climbing stabilized, vertical wooden ladders. There is a wood stove, running water, kitchen, living room & bathroom.
The space was originally lined with stainless steel & was a walk-in cooler for milk storage when there was a dairy farm on the land in the 40s. It was renovated by master carpenter, David Raponi, who lived here for 7 years and suffused the space with various quirks of comfort and creativity. It has a wood stove and we prepare the fires for our guests if requested. It is fully insulated & the original vaulted ceiling is intact. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, sink, and composting toilet similar to an outhouse.
This is a rural neighborhood. The property is adjacent to the Mohonk Preserve & the trails are within walking distance to our land. Minnewaska State Park is 7 miles away. We are 8 miles from the college town of New Paltz and 3 miles to the village of High Falls. There are many restaurants, antique shops & other interesting shops in the area.
  • The milk barn is a very cool building on a unique and secluded eco-friendly property 5 minutes outside of New Paltz. We enjoyed exploring the property, relaxing by the wood-burning stove, and talking with Toby, as well as other guests staying elsewhere on the property. It was a great community to be a part of, if only for a brief time. Cell phone reception was spotty, which was appreciated given the goal of our getaway. We would certainly stay again.

    Jarrett2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • As a New York City native, I found that this beautiful gem gave us so much more than we expected to get out of the trip. The barn fits perfectly for two people looking to get away from the city or share moments of intimacy. We brought some little personal touches such as string lights - which I recommend to future guests for romance - but all of Rio's other touches really gave off good vibrations. Quaint, cozy, romantic, tender. Something else to appreciate is how environmentally friendly this barn was. It will be different from what many people are used to, but it truly adds to the charm. The composting toilet was an interesting experience, especially. There is a good amount of space outside for people to wander off, and I imagine it is more beautiful during the summer, where people can have bbq's. Great location close to a couple of hiking destinations, which one of the reasons we took this little trip. New Paltz isn't far either, and it is a cute little town worth visiting. I highly recommend this place. It's affordable, beautiful, and unique. <3

    Amany2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic three night stay at the Milk Barn. So nice to escape from the city for a unique relaxing experience and with our large dog in tow. The mattress was comfortable, the composting toilet is a breeze, and lighting a fire each night added to the ambiance and fun. The ladder up to the larger bed is a little awkward, but is doable. Recommended items to bring: house slippers, wipes for dogs feet. Thank you to Rio and Toby - we'll be back!

    Stephanie2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in the milk barn, so cozy and charming. A unique stay for anyone looking to unplug and relax. Would love to come back in the summer.

    Cheryl2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • I brought my large dog here for a mini mid-winter getaway, and we couldn’t have had a better stay! Rio and Toby were beyond accommodating, friendly, and communicative. The little milk barn was even cozier than I’d imagined, and we spent most of our time between there and roaming their beautiful grounds, just as striking in the rainier weather as in the sunshine. There are some permanent neighbors on the same property in other converted barn spaces, but you still have all the privacy you need. There were plenty of lovely little towns within very short driving distance in which to grab a bite to eat, as well as gorgeous scenery and tons of nearby trails for hiking and other outdoorsy activities. However, for our purposes of laying low and unwinding, it was perfect :)

    Sam2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place was absolutely wonderful!! We came here to get away from NYC for an evening and escape to the countryside and nature - This place was perfect for that! We found the barn incredibly romantic and had a lovely evening there - quiet and super cozy with the wood stove. The place is really close to tons of trails, so we were able to hike in the evening and again in the morning. Rio and Toby were also super hospitable! Brought us wood and helped us light the fire, shared lots of details about the MilkBarn itself as well as cool things to do in High Falls. My partner and I adored this place and will definitely be back!! ☺️

    Allyson2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • This location is lovelier than I could have imagined. Clean, quiet, the perfect size, and unique with thoughtful details in its design. The hosts were great. They greeted us when we got there, checked in to see if we needed anything and answered all our questions. They also showed us how we could easily create a fire in the wood stove which kept us warm and toasty. I hope to be back soon! It is perfect for a romantic getaway! 10/10

    Suzana2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful even in freezing temperatures. The wood stove kept us and our two doggies warm the whole night and day. Rio accommodated our late check-in, he had the place warm when we arrived. He was readily available and continously made sure we didn't need anything. The surroundings are beautiful and you are about a 15 minute drive to New Paltz. We were curious about the experience with a composting toilet. It did not have any odor or make us feel uncomfortable to be in the space. We experienced deep rest, exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely come back!

This renovated 1970s home makes a perfect HQ for exploring the Catskills and Hudson Valley. The home has all the modern touches you need (Ecobee thermostat, Apple TV, Sprout Bluetooth stereo, etc.), but the goal of the renovation was to shift the focus to the beauty that surrounds it. You will be greeted by a wall of windows which shine a flood of picturesque light into the large main living space. The serene back deck is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or evening cocktail. The property is surrounded by four wooded acres and you can easily walk to a year-round stream and there's easy access to hiking, cross-country skiing, and more outdoor activities at Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk Mountain Preserve and Vernooy Kills, all under 15 minutes away. We also want your furry friends to be happy, so dog beds and bowls are available upon request (note: there is a $50 charge per pet/per stay to help keep this clean!)
Kerhonkson is a small hamlet located near Accord, tucked into the Rondout Valley between the Catskills and the Shawangunk Ridge. The property is near to Mohonk Minnewaska Mountains--perfect for hikes and climbing--as well as the Kerhonkson Rail Trail. It's also located minutes from some of our favorite local places like Westwind Orchard, Arrowood Brewery's tasting room, Saunderskill Farms, Ravenwood, and more!

  • Megan and Robert's place was amazing! It was tucked away in nature and with a lot of great hikes and restaurants close by. The space was modern, clean and cozy and instantly relaxed us. It was the perfect location for a weekend away to recharge and be inspired.

    Michelle2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Meghan and Robert were a great help letting us know the many different things to do outdoors. They suggested some really cool local restaurants!

    Nicole2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • After a phenomenal stay at the hosts’ other property, Cabin 14, back in October, my family and I were so torn on whether to stay there again or try Cabin 8. Ultimately you won’t go wrong with either but I’m so happy we tried Cabin 14! The space is so bright that my rescue chihuahuas loved sunbathing in the main room—even in February. The fireplace was so cozy and the kitchen layout made cooking a joy. We used the hosts’ recommendation for hikes and took the dogs down to the property creek. Everyone felt at home and relaxed immediately. We hope to stay here again many times!

  • We are New Yorkers and have stayed in many an Airbnb upstate, and I can honestly say that this place was one of the best. It's a peaceful, stylish, and cozy spot and we had everything we needed to escape from the stress of city life. We will definitely return.

    Catherine2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Megan and Robert’s place was even better than the photos- we didn’t want to leave! We made several meals during our stay and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The house was sparkling clean and stocked with plenty of towels, pillows, and blankets. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful, sunny, 60 degree day to soak in the light coming from all the windows. I highly recommend Megan and Robert’s place for a getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

  • This was a fun setting surrounded by chickens, goats, horses on a large farm. Our stay was slightly curtailed by heavy rain making getting around tough. We had a great time and the host was very accomodating.

  • Pleasant and unique experience. Teepee is cute and cozy, be aware that it will be cold in the winter months but the mattress is heated! Super friendly dogs and the farm and very hospitable hosts overall. Had a great stay.

    Emily2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous and unique glamping getaway. This was a very cozy and romantic space for two, and stayed quite warm in the bed despite chilly (low 30s) temps outside. Idyllic farm setting and accommodating hosts.

    Jesse2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing experience! Beautiful farm with the most friendly animals ever! If you need to unwind and escape from routine this is the place to go! We stayed at the tipi, much bigger than we expected and very clean. 100 % recommended! Hosts were great!

  • Great place to stay! Super friendly and amazing host, with super cute dogs who love to hang out with you to make it even better.

    Nick2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Farm style glamping! Dogs, chickens, horses, and birds singing. The tipi was beautifully built and cozy. The location was 20 minutes outside of New Paltz and within short distances to hiking trails. We went on one of the coldest weekends in the winter but the heated blankets kept us warm in the night. The host Tim and Tessa were very warm welcoming and are looking to expand into some guest experiences activities. I’d love to come back again!

    Brianna2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Tipi is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures! In spite of having a rainy night we had no inconvenience inside beyond that we had an incredible night with the sound of the the rain. Just amazing!

    Maria2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay! Definitely the break we needed from living in the city. Although the Tipi was FREEZING— we kind of knew what we were getting ourselves into. Sleeping was fine since the mattress was heated, but we couldn’t really hang out in the Tipi otherwise. Thank god for the common house with the bathroom because we were able to hang out there to warm up and play with the dogs. The hot tub was also a great touch- highly recommend!

  • Lots of land and animals roaming around. My dog loved it. Very nice hosts

    Ant2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, private cabin located on a farm for guests who LOVE animals and aren’t afraid to get their shoes muddy. Would recommend. I booked this cabin as an easy getaway from the noisy city for the night for me and my boyfriend. We started the trip hiking early in the morning at Minnewaska state park, had lunch, and then headed over to the cabin for check in just shortly after two. As soon as we turned down the drive away, we were greeted by 4 very excited dogs and in the distance could see 3 horses and a goat outside grazing on hay. As we drove past the horses to find our parking spot, we noticed two rabbits in their cages and a group of about 10 chickens, roosters and ducks roaming freely. As animal lovers, we knew immediately this was the place for us! We checked in at the main house with a young man named Jan. Jan was very friendly and gave us a quick tour of the property and where we will be staying. The cabin was exactly as pictured and was very clean. We used the kitchenette the following morning to make breakfast. They had plenty of pans and utensils. The only thing really worth noting, although not necessarily bad, is the property offers about 5 other locations onsite for people to stay. It had the feeling of a bed and breakfast but separate cabins instead of rooms in one house. Fire pit and hot tub are communal and detached from cabin (closer to the main house) and there are other guests roaming the property as well. All in all, we had a great time and would definitely come back !

  • Such a beautiful setting with something for everyone! T was super friendly and hospitable. Can’t wait to go back in the summertime!

    Newe2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place if you want to get away from everything and be on a farm and don’t mind a little dirt. My bf and I really enjoyed staying here. Beautiful hiking places around the area. Beautiful water falls. Do not wear a pair of shoes you don’t want muddy. Except a coal grill and bring fluid lighter we were not well prepared for that part but we laughed trying to use a coal grill. Will def be back in the summer to go to the water holes! The animals make the stay especially the dogs coming in an out of the cabin!

    Bobby2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great! Recommend

    Jessica2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The setting feels private and rural (because it is). The animals are friendly and add to the ambience. This is beautiful country and I'm glad we have found an outpost to explore it from. The cabin was warm and cozy and had a great kitchenette for heating up leftovers and preparing our breakfast. We didn't have a chance to try the hot tub, the farm breakfast (offered by the host), or even the local rails to trails, etc., but we look forward to doing so in the future. We especially appreciated that the location was actually secluded, even though we found a great brewery less than 10 minutes away (Rough Cut -- check it out)!

    Tara2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • T's place is jam packed with atmosphere and life. The jacuzzi is state of the art and the cabin had great vibes. I'm already planning my return!

Our unique Barn Loft is the perfect back to nature, streamside home, on 300 acres of farm and forest land. Your adventure is in your backyard, or just beyond. Our home provides a cozy and romantic setting, for reflection, connection, and relaxation.
Our barn loft was originally the back section of a huge dairy barn, where they housed the bulls. Exposed original beams, our own milled wood and stone work accentuate the charm of our rustic home and simple living. Open and bright, our space invites friends and lovers alike to relax and connect, explore  and reflect. The great room hosts the lounging area and kitchen, with views of the pasture. Guests are welcome to use all appliances and spices they may need. The master loft has a king size bed, clean linens and a door looking out at our majestic Shagbark Hickory. The second bedroom off the great room has a private entrance and twin bed. The stone patio out back sits next to our apple tree. Here, you and your guests may relax, BBQ on a charcoal grill, or drink the night away around our fire pit. Our bathroom is a one of a kind hand built stone walled shower and tub. Our tap water comes from a natural spring, that can be sulfur at times, but we have a filtered water container in the fridge for you to enjoy. The small garden surrounding the house hosts a few herbs (when in season) which guests are encouraged to enjoy, just ask if in need of recommendations or a tour. Within the garden is a summer solar heated shower, to relax and rinse among ferns and morning glories, looking out onto the pasture. Living in nature, we are privy to the smallest of the beautiful world of nature, bugs. It is normal living in the woods that sometimes the bugs come inside. They won't harm you! Just shoo them away. We do have honey bees as well, you will never notice them, they are tucked away in the Christmas trees. Every part of our unique and quirky home has been built in the family over generations, and we invite you to share our experience and be a part of our story!
Our location is the perfect balance between the peace and quiet of nature, and the convenience of towns, restaurants, and bars. We are 20 minutes from the state thruway, 20 minutes from New Paltz, 10 minutes from High Falls, Stone Ridge, all home to wonderful local restaurants, food stores, and shopping. We are only a short drive from Mohonk and Minnewaska State preserve, both of which we encourage guests to check out, and also countless other local hikes to waterfalls and lakes, bouldering and hiking. We are 5 minutes down the road from Westwind Orchards and Arrowood Brewery, a local bar where they grow their own hops. There are several other residences spaced out on the farm, but your neighbors are all family or friends!
  • Our second trip to the cabin and we are just as smitten as we were the first time around. The pictures truly don’t do this space justice

    Gracen2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The space is lovely and the bed comfortable. Colleen is a clear communicator and all of our expectations were met. We had a lovely stay with our dog in the loft. Highly recommended!

    Jarret2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect getaway from the city. C's place has the most thoughtful touches and incredible recommendations for food and activities around the area. Communication and cleanliness were top notch. Would most definitely return and recommend to anyone!

    Shira2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with our puppy in C's barn loft was AMAZING. The place is bigger and more beautiful than the pics let on; the bed was amazingly comfy; the kitchen is well equipped (pour over coffee, supplied beans and half and half, coffee grinder) with everything you need for a lovely, rustic, 3-person stay. You wake up next to the cows, you can explore the farm, the wood stove provides for lovely cozy evenings, there are surround sound bluetooth speakers in the living area, our pup loved the dog bed in front of the fire, the extra room with the plants that we didn't even really get to use is absolutely adorable, and there are lots of things to peruse and use like interesting books, yoga mats, oil diffuser, etc. Also important to mention that C was an incredibly responsive and lovely host and we are already planning a trip back in the warmer months so we can take advantage of the gardens, fire pit, and outdoor shower :-)

    Nicola2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The space is super cute with lots of interesting books and special touches. Colleen is an amazing host — quick to respond to messages, accommodating, hospitable, and kind. We ended up buying some delicious honey from the bees on the farm — and Colleen gifted us some heavenly homemade soap. We’ll be back!

    Amber2020-01-20T00:00:00Z

  • This is truly a cozy cabin. It was all on point: the wood paneling, books, games and puzzles, record player, piano and guitar and other instruments, stocked kitchen, and plenty of blankets and pillows. This place has everything! It’s even well situated between trailheads and towns. Highlights include Phoenicia Diner and the High Falls Co-op for groceries. Definitely want to come back in the summer!

  • Very cool space, far enough away to get some peace and quiet, but close enough for a quick trip to any of the more popular spots.

During the winter months Guest have access to our downstairs bathroom, Outpost has heating. Very private, next to a creek, camping in a fully set up camp with electricity, oven, re fridge, lights can sleep 6 people in beds additional people, please bring your own camping gear. No running water. Pet friendly. Home to friendly horses, chickens, goat, pigs, puppies, kittens. Access to farm Jacuzzi. Creek does dry up at times.
Sailboat, Trailer, Outpost - this is GLAMOROUS CAMPING! You have an indoor kitchen, and a well maintained Port O San, all on a private strip of land in between a beautiful stream and a row of trees bordering the main horse coral. You have access to the farms' walking trails, hot tub and bonfire area. If you have never gone camping before, come stay at the Outpost, it is a campsite already set up. I was 30 the first time I camped and I loved it! It is an amazing experience to be so close to nature, it is hard to explain, you just have to try it, more glamorous than camping, you will love it! The boat can sleep one couple in its’ cabin, the heated Trailer has a bedroom with a full bed and the kitchen has a fold out full bed. If you like you can bring your own tents and sleep even more people. If you are a group of over 6 people, please tell us about yourself and your intentions as we want to make sure that fun is had in safety and peace. My husband and I are hippies at heart, okay, maybe we even look the part sometimes, but we are also the Captain of the ship and want to make sure everyone will get home safely. The sail boat is dry docked; literally, it looks like a dock by the sea. There is a set of stairs that take you from the tent platform up to the boat. The boat has a custom built roof and romantic wind, water and sun screen. It has a small cabin with a skylight, lined with a foam mattress, a super comfy, cozy place to sleep. Up on deck you can sun yourself and image that you really are sailing as the boat gently sways in the wind (it is slung between posts so it can rock). The 50's style Trailer, is right out of a film set, with black and white checkered floor and red polka dot curtains. The heated trailer is your indoor kitchen with a 4 burner cook top and oven, refrigerator and microwave. There is no water hook up to the trailer so no running water. We provide you with a 5 gallons of water which we can help you to refill. On cold rainy days you will have refuge. When you rent the Outpost both trailer and boat are yours. The trailer opens onto the meditation/yoga deck. Just 10' from the stream. This part of the stream has a deep area where you can swim. The stream can dry up sometimes, so no guarantees. • I really enjoyed my short stay at the farm! Tim was an excellent host, he made fantastic coffee and breakfast, and we also had great conversation. I loved walking around the farm and interacting with the animals - it was very peaceful. I hope to return!

  • In the dead of winter, sick of (and from) the city, T's place was a cozy and heartwarming respite for me, my dog, and my three best friends on a last minute birthday trip. We loved roasting sausages by the fire we made, hanging together in the hot tub, and stretching on the platform next to the stream. We didn't mind at all having to go up to the main house to use the restroom or take lightning-quick showers (trying to save well water), and we loved playing with the puppy. It was nice to have privacy in our own spot, but also friendly interactions with people in the main house. I was particularly moved that on the day of his wedding (which also happened to be my birthday), T made breakfast for us. The hospitality and communal feeling is strong and nourishing after the harsh interactions of city life. Of course, one highlight is the surrounding area. I recommend hiking in Minnewaska State Park, and I have rarely seen something as beautiful the StonyKills Falls (on my birthday everything was frozen (icicles were hanging in gorgeous patterns along the stone) and covered in snow. It looked like Narnia.) And when we were too hungry to cook after all that hiking, Rough Trade Brewery was a very warm and welcome respite. Thanks everyone. Hope we'll see you again!

  • This stay was an incredible oasis. The host is wonderful and the surrounding area, near and in the mountains is gorgeous. A great rustic getaway with genuine people.

  • Special location. very friendly host. Highly recommended.

    Boudewijn2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing spot - serene - with just the sound of the stream and an occasional galloping horse on the distant field. The Host was super kind. Goat, chickens, horse, rabbits - very friendly as well. Hot tub - fantastic! Great stay.

  • The little green outpost camper was great! Very secluded. Perfect fire pit with a cozy bench and a large wood deck near a babbling brook! Or creek. Or stream? U get the idea... even had a bbq pit we could use! (And we will next time) parking was about 100 yards away where the portapotty was (super clean). Easy flat grassy walk. They have a handy cart for your stuff. The camper had a. Fun style. Retro. Clean. Perfect space for 2 people. Was chili at first but once the radiator heater was on for a while it was fine. Super laid back hosts that treated you like family. A very ‘what’s mine is yours’ attitude. We stayed in a couple of campers on this trip and this one was our favorite!!

    Danelle2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay with stunning simplicity.

    Camo2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • If you come with an adventurous spirit and the right provisions, this is a fun place to stay (especially for wannabe campers like our family with kids). We recommend bringing (or gathering) kindling and firewood & supplies to make s’mores. Although the portapotty is a short walk from the trailer, it was fantastically clean and fresh. If weather allows, bring a tent for extra space. Our family of four squeezed in and had fun using this place as a base for day hikes in the Minnewaska State Park (where they have a gorgeous clear lake for swimming and cooling off after a hike) and Mohonk Preserve (we suggest going to West Trapps to see the rock climbers). The kids had fun splashing in the adjacent creek and seeing the horses, rabbits, goat, baby chicks and ducklings, and the owner’s golden retrievers.

This is a great place for a weekend away and we hope to be back!

Whole process was smooth and communications were fast. Very convenient location. Minutes to the grocery store for supplies and Minnewaska State Park for great hiking. Our dog even loved the toys in the house and yard!

Newly built architect's home on 24 wooded acres in the Hudson Valley - 20 min drive to Mohonk and Minnewaska to the south and Catskills Preserve to the north. Escape the city (and the coronavirus!). Please note we are doing an extra round of disinfecting between guests to ensure everything is sterile.
Downstairs is an open floor plan with floor-to-ceiling windows, locally sourced bluestone floors, bathroom, x-long dining table, energy efficient kitchen. Upstairs a semi-transparent catwalk leads to 2 large loft-style bedrooms (semi-private) with floor-to-ceiling windows, plus full bath w/ soaking tub. The property is set deep in the Catskills' woods. On the property you'll encounter woodpeckers, barred owls, brown thrashers, salamanders, and many other creatures. Maples, oaks, hemlocks, pines, witch hazel and mountain laurels are among the tree and plant varieties.
The house is at the foothills of the Catskills mountains in a beautiful setting in the woods. Please note there is very poor cell service as you arrive, and near the house most people do not have any cell service until they arrive and can get onto the Wifi (and setup Wifi calling on their phones). When you arrive off of Queens Highway, the driveway forks and you will take a LEFT at the fork. Then the driveway takes you up a small hill and around a bend to our house, which you will recognize from the photos.
  • Olga, Thank you so much for opening up your gorgeous home to us for the night.Your place was beyond our expectations and the absolute perfect getaway from the city. From check-in to check-out, Olga was very responsive and made our entire experience relaxing and enjoyable. The location was great, only 2 hours outside of Manhattan. There were plenty of grocery stores along the drive, as well as one just 15 minutes from the house. We decided to cook and utilize the beautiful, well stocked kitchen, however, if you wanted to dine out, there are options just a short drive away. The bed was very comfortable and all the linens and towels were very well kept and clean. Overall, our experience was beyond. We would definitely recommend Olga's home to anyone looking to relax in a picturesque setting and enjoy some time in nature!

  • Needless to say , the place was even more stunning than the photos. Being designers ourselves we thoroughly enjoyed the attention to detail in the house. We met the owner who thoughtfully left us some cut firewood. All in all a great space and we have already recommended it to a bunch of friends who will be booking a stay :)

Take a leisurely walk under the towering trees in the quiet wooded acre surrounding this cozy, alpine-inspired cabin with contemporary bohemian touches. Sleep in upstairs under deep-set skylights, or curl up by the fire in the rustic screened porch. Pets welcome with additional $25 cleaning fee.
While the outside of the cabin is reminiscent of a quaint alpine cabin, the inside is uniquely modern and incredibly functional for sleeping up to six guests in just under 500 sq feet. Nestled in the pines of the Kerhonkson woods at the base of the Catskill Mountains is this tiny little cabin that is more than meets the eye. Recently updated from it's 1970s rustic lodge interior, the cabin now features a farmhouse kitchen and comfortable furnishings. We are pet friendly but do charge an additional $25 pet cleaning fee for those bringing their furry friends. We do not have cable but we do have a smart television to use with your Netflix or other streaming apps. You may also use the HULU TV application which will allow you to watch live and streaming content from most cable and sports channels.
The cabin is nestled in the pines of the Kerhonkson woods at the base of the Catskill Mountains. Get back to nature at Minnewaska State Park around 20 minutes away, or explore the nearby local towns of New Paltz and Woodstock
  • Can't recommend this place enough. The peace you feel on the property and in the cabin is indescribable. The hiking trails are nearby and exceptional. My boyfriend and I LOVE to cook and we found the kitchen to be extremely usable and had everything and more that we needed. The entire set up is incredibly comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

  • I booked this cabin as a Christmas gift for my fiancé for a weekend getaway and it was perfect! Nestled right in the woods, with just enough privacy. Emily was extremely kind and quick to respond to any question or needs I had. We loved the tiny cabin decor and everything she lists is exactly what is presented in the cabin. We did bring food for ourselves but she had good treats and coffee/tea! It’s super super cozy and heat works awesome in the winter. We hiked locally (within 15 min of cabin) and went to a great lunch spot (the eggs nest - 15-20 min from cabin. Emily even provided a list of places to try out which is always a plus in an unfamiliar area. The best way to describe her cabin is homey and quaint. With all the right decor and comfortable feelings it was perfect. The hosts definitely care about their guests enjoying their stay and it showed. We definitely want to return in the future!

    Elizabeth2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Best Getaway we have Had! The rustic outside has a real earthy feel like it belongs in a movie and once you step inside the modern yet homey vibes make you feel warm. It really felt like it could be my home. The layout was perfect for us and loved how open the space felt. The kitchen yet “small” was absolutely perfect for our stay. Overall I can not wait to get back. Might be the new home away from home.

    Robert2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to disconnect from everything. From the screened porch with chimney, firepit and all the way to the inside of the cabin was perfect. Accommodations where super comfy and you have everything you'll need just need your food and drinks. Definitely will be returning!

  • The cabin was super cozy and located in a quaint setting. We loved the skylights and waking up to the sound of rain. Highly recommend.

Our original farm house is the perfect back to nature, streamside home, on 300 acres of farm and forest land. Your adventure is in your backyard, or just beyond. Perfectly imperfect, carved by hand, our home provides a cozy, romantic setting, for reflection, connection, and relaxation
Our farm home was one of two original homes on the property when my family came nearly a century ago to farm. Exposed original ceiling beams, our own milled wood, stone and concrete work accentuate the charm of our rustic home and simple living. Nearly every piece inside this home has been fashioned, crafted, milled, and built by us or those of our family. We are on the journey to bring this house back to life, and invite you to share in it's story. As life on a farm goes, the work is never done. Guests currently have access to only the main floor - open living/kitchen space, with woodstove. Right off the kitchen it the bathroom, large vanity, and lots of light. The bedroom is sat in the back end of the house, simple and cozy, with a dressing room off the side. The bed is a queen mattress, and is a very firm mattress. Off the kitchen is an addition room, original put on by my grandparents. This soon to be second bedroom for now is the perfect spot for stretching, yoga, meditation or whatever your body desires. An open porch allows for time spent outside, during nice weather of any season. The house sits right on a small stream, and next to our seasonal pasture, which during off season you are welcome to roam the back woods, follow the stream, get back to nature. Across the road are the hay fields and corn fields. This is important to note that the house does sit right next to the main road, Whitfield. The closest house on the property is up a hill through the christmas trees, so you won't be seeing much of us! But we ask you take caution when entering and waiting the driveway, or crossing the road. As such, the cars passing can be heard. With work on the farm always on going, we are pulled in many directions, and to be very up front, this is a farm house on a working farm, and farmers are notoriously messy! As we renovate, our wood piles, stone piles, work piles etc, are out and about. We have made sure your space inside is beautiful and clean, but you may be privy to process of such a renovation, and see our dirty little secrets. :) With all that said - we have hundreds of acres private to the farm you may explore; streams, waterfalls, un-done forest land, canyons, and open fields. With spectacular views of Mohonk Moutain house, we encourage you to take a walk to visit our veggie and herb garden, lavender plot, and take time to reflect on simple living.
Our location is the perfect balance between the peace and quiet of nature, and the convenience of towns, restaurants, and bars. We are 20 minutes from the stare Thruway, 20 minutes from new Paltz, 10 minutes from high falls, Stone ridge, all home to wonderful local restaurants, food stores, and shopping. We are only a short drive away from Mohonk and Minnewaska state preserve, both of which we encourage guests to check out, and also countless other hikes to waterfalls and lakes, bouldering and biking. We are also 5 minutes down the road from Arrowood Brewery and Westwind orchards, locally grown hops and apples and cider. There are several residences spaced out on the farm, but they are all family and friends!
  • This farmhouse was perfect for a quick winter nature getaway. The central heating was amazing, the kitchen fully equipped, the bath nice and hot, linens comfy...truly it was great. It’s also a perfect location between the Catskills and the Hudson! Now we want to come back in the summer!!

    Elena2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great space for getting away. On a beautiful stream next to a very old weeping willow. Has a British countryside farmhouse vibe with everything you need. Bed is firm and comfortable. Very cozy and the wood stove is awesome (but they also have central electric heat). Pictures don’t do it justice. Awesome deal.

    Marlon2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Really cozy, clean space. The woodstove works great - there's also a nice gas range for cooking. We loved all the skilled, hand-made touches to the place. It's hard not to feel good when you're hanging out in there, and the fresh-air and woodlands/pasture feels amazing. It was a welcome respite and home-coming to balance our much more urban day to day lives!

    Alessandro2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • SO cozy and thoughtfully put together! The whole place was perfect and really quiet/private. The decor has me inspired for my own home. Got to make use of the woodstove since we visited in the middle of winter. House is in a peaceful area- off the beaten path, but still close enough to stores/attractions. Hosts were super nice and responded to my messages quickly. Highly recommend 😊

  • Such a cute, warm and beautiful place. We’ve stayed at a few of V and Colleens properties now, and we just love it. Charming, well thought out, beautiful interior and just a great energy. We loved the woodstove and the view of the big fields outside. The beautiful wooden floors and the cute little details everywhere. Its sparkling clean, and the beds are so comfortable. Communication is, as always when you airbnb through V and C, top. You can feel they are great people and care for their property and land. Thank you so much once again for having us, we cant wait to be back.

    Naja2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at the farm house was a dream! Beautifully thought out and orchestrated space - delightfully, the pictures dont do it justice. The "construction" phase of this home is completely unnoticeable... way nicer than many bnbs we've stayed at. Country home meets a Parisian comfort. Exactly as stated, back to nature time... a stream flowing right off the porch, your neighbors are fields and trees! Thoughtful touches make this a perfect retreat - candles in the shower and bedroom! The bath tub a high plus! Great hot water and Epsom salts, and farm made goods that shouldn't be missed! Host is responsive and absolutely gracious. Spacious, clean, this gem shouldn't be missed

  • Nice hosts and place. Centrally located to all local hikes. Kitchen is outstanding, with quality utensils. Wish it had been warmer to really enjoy the key benefit of this house, the outdoor seating and grill.

Old style Pioneers tent, yet still providing you with today`s luxury. Such as a mattress heater, camping stove and electricity to charge your modern devices. We just swapped out the potbelly stove for a pellet stove making the tent much warmer than before. Located in a private area, on the edge of our high hill with nothing but trees surrounding you. You have access to downstairs bathroom, Hot Tub, fire pit, BBQ to make that perfect s’more. Horses, chickens, goat, puppies, roaming and fenced in.
Mary queen of England granted approximate 400 acres to the Davenport family in 1689. The original homestay location was lost. A Dutch home and barn were build during the pre-industrial revolution. Unfortunately the home was lost to a fire in 1979, you can still see the stone foundation. The diary barn was converted to a home in 1984. 20 acres remained landlocked with pittoresk class A trout stream running trough pastoral setting. Located in the Hudson Valley, 2 hours North of NYC, our 20-acre Farm is home to horses, chickens, bunnies, dogs, cats and other farm animals. Enjoy our walking trails, creek, bonfires, wood fired pizza oven and luxurious hot tub. Our property is far from any large roads and is perfect for couples wishing to have a romantic weekend surrounded by nature.  About our Pioneer tent: Old fashioned pioneers tent, 150 sq. ft. front porch/deck that will take your breath away. Located on the edge of our high field, facing nothing but trees, this tent is the perfect luxury camping experience. Old style metal Queen bed, antique Pot Belly Stove, a rocking chair, and storm lanterns. But still providing you with today`s luxury such as a mattress heating pad, and electricity so you are able to charge your modern technology. You have access to our downstairs bathroom and are able to walk in and out any time a day. Nearby is a shared fire pit and BBQ, so you can sit by the camp fire and roast marshmallows.  To preserve the natural experience of the pioneer’s tent rural setting, cars are parked on the main driveway about a 1-minute walk away. If needed, we will assist you with a pull cart in getting your luggage out to the Tent. Please contact us to inquire about single night bookings. When available we may be able to accommodate you. In winter our property becomes a "Winter Wonderland"; SNOW SHOEING or CROSS COUNTRY SKIING, ski right on our property or drive 10 minutes to Minnewaska or Mohonk and ski their well groomed trails and ICE SKATE at Mohonk's beautiful Ice Pavilion. We have 6 other accommodations on the same 20-acre farm each one tucked away. We keep our calendar up to date, if it says we have availability go ahead and instant book it. We get excellent cell service.
  • The tent is a great space! The farm property is fun, unique and beautiful. After a day spent hiking in Mohonk, this was the perfect place for a night’s rest. One of the farm workers, Jan, was helpful and friendly in getting us checked in. Would absolutely stay here again!

    John2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Tim's place was a breath of fresh air. Beautiful land and animals.

    Danielle2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay, the tent is magic and the whole experience was a needed fresh change from our urban life in NY. Everyone was super easy going and friendly, the dogs are an extra joy. They have different type of accommodations, we’d love to explore a few of them! Highly recommended

    Matteo2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Really fun place to stay! There’s tons of animals and Tim is a great host.

    Madison2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to go to get out of the city for a while! The property was very homey and rustic and the bed warmer and the pellet stove in the tent kept us nice and toasty. Tim was incredibly welcoming and had great tips for what to do in the area. The animals were a plus too! I would definitely come back in the future!

    Julia2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay in the pioneer tent. Even though it was January, the pellet stove and heated blankets made it very cozy. The farm has lots of wonderful and friendly animals, which made walks around the premises very enjoyable. To round it out, couldn't have asked for a friendlier host. Would definitely stay again!

    Theo2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Tim is such a great experience! He’s very welcoming, easy going, and so open with sharing his spaces. We stayed in the cabin and then the pioneer tent and can not recommend both enough. He’s built everything on the property himself and you can very easily see the love, care, and detail that went into crafting it all. We stayed at the end of December during a cold rainstorm and still found it to be a very comfortable stay. The pioneer tent is adorable and atmospheric, with a pellet stove keeping it very pleasantly warmed. We enjoyed two very nice nights in the hot tub as well. Can’t wait to return!

  • Great stay! Very dog-friendly, gorgeous place. Tastefully appointed quirky house on farm!

    Ismail2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Set in a lovely peaceful area, the stars of the place are definitely the dogs... wonderful natures and so friendly... they really are the best thing there. There are different areas to stay, we booked the in house suite, if there is a next time we would love to stay in the yurt! I wanted to stay for the weekend in a place that was relaxing and this fit the bill, we didn’t use the hot tub, but we could have, we were able to make a great fire there and in February it was great to keep warm... we even cooked potatoes and steak on it! Breakfast was simple, but in fact we didn’t need more than the eggs and breakfast sausage... the eggs are delicious... we took three dozen home thanks to free range chickens wandering around the property. There was fruit and yoghurt available if wanted. Our room was comfortable and clean and the house has some great touches like an art mural in the kitchen. Nearby is mainly a hiking area but do recommend the New Paltz Brewery about 10 mins away in Wawarsing! Also we spent Saturday morning in New Paltz and found a fantastic coffee place called Grinds and Grains.

  • Tim is a fantastic host, especially if you are bringing your dog along. He along with his three dogs were fantastic hosts and made wonderful breakfasts each morning. Will be back again this year and recommend his unique offerings to everyone

  • This place worked out perfect for a last minute trip to the Catskills. It was a great location close to lots of hiking and even better that I was able to bring my dog! Great place to stay and was very quiet and clean.

    Katelyn2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Alex’s bungalow is a cozy getaway with all of the accommodations and space we needed for our Christmas holiday get away. And being dog friendly, we could bring our little pupper to enjoy his first Catskill hikes in the area.

    Lance2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Alex's cottage is around the corner from the infinitely beautiful Ashokan Reservoir with its many opportunities for enjoying the serenity of the vast expanse of water. The location is about twenty minutes from Woodstock, Boiceville and any number of great restaurants. On top of it, Alex is an extremely accommodating host. The dwelling is clean, tidy and offers everything you'd want to bring from home.

    Mighty2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet and peaceful, great for a stop in the Catskills

    Jd2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great home base for must-do Catskill hiking, sightseeing Woodstock and Kingston (we did them all during our 2 nights stay). Alex generously waives cleaning fee by trusting all guests to be responsible for cleaning after ourselves and I appreciate that policy. I just wish if all guests followed the rule (I had to clean previous guests' garbage) so Alex can keep offering the good rate!

  • Wow! I booked a last minute trip for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday and this place made it extra special. The location and amenities are excellent and are as described. Tammy was in constant contact and assisted me with everything I needed. She showed so much compassion in allowing us to check out late during these uncertain times. Most of the restaurants in the town were take-out only due to covid-19, we were able to bring our breakfast back to the Airbnb and eat, before checking out. Thanks to the hospitality we received here we were able to celebrate a joyous occasion despite the current state of the world.

    Shruti2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and cozy spot, with everything you could need for a getaway! Highly recommended.

    Jordan2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Where do I begin? This place far exceeded our expectations. Tammy our host was nothing short of hospitable and accommodating! We were greeted with a bottle of wine and fresh warm muffins. (Mmm) Everything was so spotless and oh so welcoming. Truly a home away from home. Just minutes away from town and everything New Paltz has to offer. Tammy was also very helpful in her suggestions of places to go and always very responsive. We cannot wait to plan another trip here. Thanks again and God bless!

    Matthew2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Place was beautiful. Had everything we to really make us feel comfortable. Decor all went well together. Really felt like home. Tammy & Mike we’re both super nice. Would definitely come back again.

    Steven2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This charming little farmhouse has so much character! It was warm and cozy with the fireplace and hot tub. Tammy and Mike have everything neat and labeled with clear instructions for your stay, it made everything a breeze! The bathroom and decor in the private room made it feel like a 5 star suite. The bed is comfy and the hosts provide extra blankets, pillows, coffee, and snacks. You will love this place!

  • Frank was a great host organizing everything smooth and quick responding to my inquiries. Cabin was fantastic to stay with pets. I really enjoyed my vacation at Frank’s cabin. The best cabin ever!

  • Myself and 5 friends had the best time here! The house was much larger than we had anticipated from the photos, and everything was perfectly clean. We highly recommend the Bonticou Crag home, which is about a 35min drive away. The house has plenty of outdoor seating and places to hang out inside as well. WiFi can be spotty, but we didn’t miss it at all when staying here. If you want a perfect Catskills stay, this is it

  • A diamond in the rough. Truly a wonderful gem of a cabin in the woods. Peace and quiet! Indoor and out, we loved this place. Easy check in. A spotless well kept home. Very comfortable sleeping arrangements and beds. A wonderful responsive team if you need anything. Highly recommended.

  • Our family loved Bear Cabin and its cozy, rustic interior and beautiful grounds and location! We enjoyed the wood burning stove and our kids loved the pond and caught salamanders! This is a very comfortable, fun spot to stay in and use as a base for hiking, etc. The owners even hooked us up with a service that stocked up on groceries, wine and a birthday cake!

    Jen2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • A great spot to relax and enjoy nature. A nice cabin in the woods with plenty of outdoor activities. If you want to get away, this is the place! The hosts were friendly and very responsive. I highly recommend staying here.

    Marissa2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Star-gazing, excellent local hiking, fires outside, and eating breakfast overlooking the pond are a few things that made this place and stay memorable. We brought our doggo along and she loved sniffing around the forest's edge directly behind the house. Very clean and spacious too, would absolutely return! Thank you Frank!

    Hannah2019-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place was lovely, with plenty of space and multiple communal tables to hang out and share meals—we were a small group but I’d gladly come back with more people. (Just keep an eye on the fact that there’s only one bathroom.) We visited in the summer, and this spot was perfect for lounging around by the little pond outside. There’s also a steam a short walk away.

Victorian Haven is located near the Shawangunk Mountains that extends for over 20 miles and reaches 2,200 feet in height at Sam's point, the highest elevation on the ridge. In addition, the Wallkill River provides unspoiled and picturesque spots for hiking, fishing and/or picnics. • Victorian Haven - quiet, cozy, and quaint! Such an adorable hidden gem in a small community. Had everything needed from morning coffee to dinner making! The small intimate touches like the selection of coffee with multiple options for creamer and added notes and information about the place and local areas of interest made it stand out! The wildlife was amazing - seeing 50+ deer just hanging out and the many birds on/near the river. Perfect place to stay while seeing a concert and just wanting to get away for the weekend. Definitely recommend for a couple trying to unwind and relax!

  • What a sweet cabin! It is cozy yet also very spacious. There were great kitchen amenities and appliances that made cooking a breeze! Also there were games, pens and markers in the living room that made nights by the fire even more fun! The sunset was gorgeous at the outdoor deck and town was a quick 10 minutes away. We highly recommend and want to return with our dog soon!

  • Second time back, and we still found it cozy and the perfect winter weekend getaway. Love the fireplace, and lounging on the comfy chair in the living room, and loved having our dog there too! Went for a lovely walk down the road with our dog and saw a beautiful sunset and lots of deer. :-)

  • Good place. Good location near the parks. House is very stylish, and clean. Lots of nice touches from soap to coffee. One thing worth mentioning is that there are 3 houses on the property. Not a bad thing just information to note if that matters to you.

  • We enjoyed our stay at the Dream House. The bedrooms and living room are very spacious. There are also thoughtful touches like high quality coffee beans and tea, nice toiletries, and upgraded bedding. It's a great location as well, as it's just down the road from Minnewaska and the Mohonk Preserve.

Simple, airy, studio cottage next to my house, featuring an enormous bathroom with a clawfoot tub. Perfect for writers/solo-travelers seeking solitude & peace and couples wanting quality time together. The cottage is on a scenic country road, walking distance to 3 farms, including 2 farm-to-table restaurants, serving amazing food, organic cider & craft beer: Westwind Pizza/Apple Orchard, Arrowood Brewery & Hollengold Farm.
I have received several inquiries recently from people looking to self-isolate in the country for awhile. I have lowered the price significantly and waived the cleaning fee to try and accommodate such a need. I have declined requests for short-term stays and no one has stayed in the cottage since Feb 2, so it's should be coronavirus-free. Please be aware though that there is not a  kitchen, so it's obviously not ideal for long-term stays.  But these are extraordinary times and for the right people on a budget, you could make due. There is a small refrigerator & freezer (~3+ cu ft mini-fridge), microwave, hot water kettle, coffeemaker and now an electric burner and (non-toxic) pan which just arrived and are still in boxes. I just ordered a few bamboo kitchen utensils, arriving Thursday. There is also an outdoor propane grill that you could use, with a little burner on the side. It's old and rusty but works. There are dishes, bowls and eating utensils there. You would have to do your dishes in the bathroom sink, other guests have done that before, there are sponges, dish towels and dish soap in the cabinet. Finally, I just checked with Fabio the owner and Westwind Orchard down the street is open for takeout! :-) For an extended stay, I think the space would most comfortably accommodate one person. If you have any questions or have a special situation, feel free to message me.
A short walk down the road is Westwind Orchard, serving cider, pizza, oysters and more on their certified organic apple orchard and U-pick farm, and Arrowood Farm Brewery, featuring awesome food trucks and craft beer "from the ground up". A slightly longer walk, or very short drive is a gorgeous local swimming hole. Within quick reach are local staples like Saunderskill Farm Market and Greenhouse and the Mohonk Preserve and Minnewaska State Park. Within 10-15 min drive you can take in the great outdoors via the growing rail trail network just perfect for hiking, biking, and natural exploration with the little ones. Swimming holes, rock climbing, modern craft fairs, art shows, festivals and live music all await you here. There's no shortage of history, culture, and community here in Accord and one of the biggest draws to the area is the connectivity to other well known hotspots like Stone Ridge, High Falls, and Rosendale. If you're looking for more "action", the cottage is just a 25-30 minute drive to the historic melting pots of Kingston, New Paltz, and Woodstock.
  • the best! Don’t let this review fool you- I am writer and went up to write. It was perfect. Wood stove and the coziest bed in the world. Great light and a cidery up the road for respite. Quaint little curved farm road. Clean. Quiet. Safe. I could not have been happier with a space for writing and escaping my brooklyn life.

  • Cute and cozy cabin. We stayed in winter and enjoyed the wood-burning stove and big tub. Also, an immense floor-to-ceiling window lets you bathe in sunlight. It is a simple, relaxing place.

  • Felise's Sweet Cottage was the perfect spot for our Hudson Valley trip. It was equipped with everything we needed, close to a few great restaurants, and right in the middle of the beautiful countryside. Felise offered easy check-in instructions and helpful advice about local places to explore. We'd love to stay again, and we'd definitely recommend it to friends!

This historic Revolutionary War-era cottage features a beautiful local stone fireplace, sunroom, and a kitchen with a mini-fridge, stove and microwave. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a full bed and closet and one with a twin bed. The bathroom is fully remodeled and features a walk in shower. The cottage sits next to a beautiful creek and overlooks the Esopus River Valley with views of the Catskills Mountains. It's on a main road within driving distance of shops, restaurant and hikes.
Please note: Potts Cottage, named for our maternal grandmother, is 700 square feet total. The ceilings are low (people in the 1700s were shorter than those of us in the 21st century!) so folks who are more than six feet tall will need to watch their crowns! There are stairs to the upstairs with a sturdy handrail, but please note you must use stairs to get to the bathroom. The cottage is best-suited for a couple, but there is a sleeper sofa for larger parties. Please note we do charge extra for more than three guests. The cottage is just on a main county road, which makes it accessible to all that the Catskills has to offer.
The cottage is near other neighbors across the road so do be respectful of them. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.
  • The cottage was very cozy and sweet. It was very clean and as advertised when we arrived. We appreciated the helpful instructions - particularly about the tricky heat - which worked well. Just note that if you light a fire, your clothes, bags, etc. will smell like smoke because it is a small old place but we thought it added to the charm and nothing a load of laundry can't fix. We very much enjoyed out stay.

    Camille2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Stacie and Fara are so responsive and easy to communicate with. They provided us with great recommendations and were fast to answer any questions we had during our stay. Their cottage is really one of the most charming places we've been to in the Catskills. It's small and was built a long time ago (stone floors, low ceilings, tighter spaces) but it's the most relaxing and thoughtful retreat we've been to in the area. The house overlooks a ridge with a small stream on the property. The views from the back windows are beautiful and so serene. There are plenty of chairs set up along the ridge with great vistas - it was cold but we still took our coffee (Nespresso, which they provided at the cottage, a thoughtful and appreciated touch) outside each morning to enjoy the sunrise over the ridge. Really close to Kingston (great food and great local beer - Great Life Brewing was incredible) and some excellent hiking spots. Bed is comfortable and bathroom is recently renovated. We loved our extended weekend in their cottage.

  • It’s a very charming property, and the fact it’s pet friendly was icing on the cake. Highly recommend it. We loved our stay.

    Abbie2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • The house is super cute and perfect for a break. Above all, we particularly liked that the house has a history and that you can see it in the small details. The equipment especially in the kitchen was great and we didn't miss anything.

    Yasemin2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our weekend at Potts Cottage. The fireplace makes this place so warm and cozy. Despite the cold temperatures, we were very comfortable. But be sure to bring firewood! You can buy it locally at a Stewarts or other convenient store. The kitchen is well-outfitted and we enjoyed cooking and staying in. There are scenic places within a short drive to walk or exercise. Would return!

    Jessica2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing few days staying at Fara’s cottage. The cottage is charming and cozy. Fara was very communicative and the check in was a breeze. My only advice to people planning a visit in the winter is to bring a pair of slippers because the ground floor is made of beautiful but somewhat chilly stone.

    Marco2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is the most magical and scenic. The check-in was smooth and communication with Fara was so quick. It’s a great, affordable, and comfortable. Highly recommend for a getaway trip! Thank you so much again for having us!

    Marina2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in the stone cottage. Long walks in the woods nearby, great little towns to explore, and cozying by the fire at night was such a treat! Recommend to anyone looking for a nice getaway in a very cool, unique and historic place. Thanks, Fara!

  • We had a great stay here over the weekend while visiting Tuthilltown Distillery and hiking Minnewaska State Preserve. It was clean and quiet and looked like the pictures. It can get a little hot at night but cracking the windows did the trick. We would stay here again!

  • The farm was a fantastic place to go for a weekend away with my girlfriend. The hospitality was great and the place was quiet and cozy. There was plenty of hiking around the area and an awesome brewery. To top it all off they have 4 lovely dogs that great you throughout the day. Will definitely be back!

  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay in the apartment at Tim’s place. It’s a clean, simple, cozy space with everything you need. We cooked some great meals on the burners, made a couple fires at the outdoor fire pit, and enjoyed the hot tub, exploring the property, and meeting the many friendly animals. Tim and Jan were hospitable and responsive. No snow this weekend, but after just 20 minutes’ drive up into Mohonk we were in a winter wonderland.

    Julia2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • A great host! The photos are older, the place has been updated and looks great. Tim was super friendly and very accommodating! He also mentioned to us that they are adding more animals and cheese making in the near future

    Gershon2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect space for our very brief stay! We only wish we could have spent more time on the property (there’s so much to explore and the scenery is absolutely gorgeous!) T was incredibly gracious about accommodating our last-minute booking and very late check in (we arrived at 130am!). The apartment was clean, tidy, and warm (a plus in the frigid weather) We will definitely be back for a longer stay in the future.

    Laurel2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Tim’s farm was an awesome place to stay at. He was readily available if needed, and the check-in/check-out process was fairly easy. The hot tub was great, and the apartment had everything we needed.

    Christian2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Went up for the weekend with my wife and our 9-month old puppy. The farm is a wonderfully isolated and serene place to get away for the weekend. Tim was extremely friendly and greeted us upon arrival as did one of his golden retrievers! There are a ton of animals that roam around and greet you at every turn. Definitely a must-do trip for animal lovers! We went hiking in the nearby Minnewaka State park and took our pup who loved seeing some nature. Highly recommend this place to stay and location!
