Places to stay in Accomac
Cozy bungalow situated right outside the town of Accomac. This home is located at the end of a private lane and backs up to the woods on a 1/4 acre lot. Tons of privacy, yet just 5 minutes from town. You will be close to all the important things like shopping, restaurants, medical services plus hospital, theater and more! Also, this is a great place for traveling hospital staff!
Quaint little town 5 minutes from bungalow offering a great little coffee shop and the best bakery ever:) plenty of shopping, restaurants and waterside dining. Also, 5 minutes from the new Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital!
  • My fiancé and I travel for work and stayed here for about three months. This space definitely exceeded our expectations! Not only is the location great (about 5 minutes away from shopping, the hospital, anything we would need) but it is set back from the road so it is nice and private as well! There is plenty of space in the front yard as well as a nice fenced in back yard. The house itself has more than enough room for the two of us as well as any amenities that we would need. The host is very responsive and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. Upon move-in there was a very thoughtful welcome basket, lovely decorations, and many pamphlets informing us of nearby restaurants and attractions. You could tell the host put in a lot of thought and consideration into making us feel comfortable. We had such a lovely experience that we decided to book again for our future stay! This is definitely a great place to be while staying on the eastern shore, highly recommend!

  • We were in the area for the Music and Soul Food Festival in Exmore, VA and really appreciated having a place to get back to and relax after the festival. The beds are very soft and comfortable, there are plenty of fresh towels and other linens, and the kitchen is ready to use with all the things we needed to cook breakfast when we got up (we did bring our own groceries, though she had water, Coke and Diet Coke in the fridge ready for us). We really liked the very straightforward, open feel to the apartment and the comfort of the beds. You will notice a smell in the water, but that is normal for the area. Quiet place, great for a spot to relax.

  • This apartment was perfect for our extended stay in the area. It had everything we needed, washer/dryer, kitchen, and two bedrooms. It was clean and updated and close to town. I would stay again.

  • Sheila’s place was wonderful, clean and had the new updated feel. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were generous in size with large empty closets and dresser drawers for our use.

  • The stay was lovely and the house was perfectly clean! This was our first stay in an Air BnB and it was really awesome. She has everything you need for your stay, and even left us some coffee! Plenty of beautiful dishes if you need to cook in the home, and a washer and dryer! There were plenty of towels and blankets. The place was really great.

  • The apartment was perfect for our family. We stayed a week and really enjoyed ourselves. The apartment was very clean and well-stocked. Located on a very quiet street, we had a lot of privacy. Everything met or exceeded our expectations. Communication was always quick. We would definitely stay here again.

  • The tiny red house is even more adorable than it looks on the site... I was in dire need of some R&R and slept so deeply and soundly on both nights. The place is both welcoming and extremely well-maintained. I felt instantly comfortable inside. The book & DVD collection is eclectic and full of surprises. I loved that there were no streaming options! Also, the star gazing is absolutely to die for (had forgotten what stars looked like) and the tranquility immense (no nearby road with cars zipping by). The hosts are utterly gracious and discreet and helpful in all ways...

  • Mona and her little red house are amazing! I encourage anyone looking for a refreshing weekend getaway to stay here. I will definitely be coming back when I'm due for another stress free weekend.

  • Simply magical

    Ali2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful time at the little red house! The house was absolutely lovely. It had everything we needed, and then some. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the wifi worked well enough to enjoy a few Netflix shows. My fiancé and I were able to observe the stars at night, which is impossible in New York City. Thank you so much, Mona! We’ll be back!

    Sarah2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for a romantic getaway, gorgeous and cozy, and everything one could wish for to disconnect for a bit with your partner. Mona was extremely hospitable and welcoming. Also, if it's a clear night, be sure to star gaze. Amazing experience all around!

    Haseeb2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • This retreat is perfect. Close to conveniences, but in the heart of the country. Enjoyed seeing all the deer, running on rural road. The cottage has everything i needed, including books, movies, games. Very comfortable bed, luxury towels. My first night home, i woke up and wondered where i was --- my head was still at the Red House.

  • This place was super cute and clean and Sean was very responsive. Perfect for our one night stay in Onancock. Sad that we did not get to eat at Maurice’s for dinner as everyone in town raved about it. We will be back!

  • Excellent responsiveness. Great location. Great price for the value.

    Benjamin2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Simply the best place to stay! The room was extremely comfortable, filled with everything I needed including the best bed, fluffy towels, plenty of pillows, a great shower and all the amenities to boot. But even better, the restaurant and bar make this a fabulous place to stay! The atmosphere is beautiful and carefully designed to offer a special experience. The food is amazing (not your average fare) and sitting at the bar with an eclectic group of fun and interesting people made travelling alone a truly fun event. Sean is a lovely, gracious host who greeted me upon my late arrival and made me feel like an old friend. His team is equally kind and attentive. Don't pass this place up.

    Jan2019-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Onancock is a lovely eastern shore gem and Sean makes it a special getaway at a reasonable price in classic surroundings. Lots to enjoy with warm helpful staff. I definitely recommend staying here.

Foley creek is near by if you like to kayak . Hunting and fishing is available close by to. About 45 minutes from chincotegue and 45 minutes from cape Charles .
There is a fire pit in the back you can use just supply your own wood. You can buy it from the local hardware stores
Folleys Creek is nearby there is a boat ramp there if you have a boat or want to go kayaking. Please let me know in advance if you plan on bringing a boat so I can arrange for parking .
  • Wow, I wish I had longer to stay here! You pull right up to a private entrance on a deck (with a few stairs, but convenient). Amazing private suite - basically the "living room" is a home theater with a kitchenette, the bedroom is huge, and the bathroom deserves a magazine highlight. Super clean and well thought out. And it looks like there's even a small put-in / creek leading to a lake right there in the backyard. I never got to meet Greg, but text communication was good.

Just small tip! if you are sprint user, do not think about your network life. No signal ever. I don't know about at&t, t mobile, verizon etc. Anyway, I highly recommend this place.

  • The pictures dont do this room justice, its SO nice. The bedroom and bathroom are huge, the bed is super comfortable, the shower is very large and the water pressure is amazing. Love that there is a private sitting room. My favorite part was looking at the stars in the sky late at night, there is very little light pollution in the area so you can really get a good view. 100% would stay again.

My home was built in 1906. It’s an old Victorian style home in a quaint neighborhood. Location is five minutes from Route 13. I’m located 10 minutes from historic Onancock, VA, 40 minutes south of Chincoteague and Assateague (ask me about the wild ponies😍), and an hour from Cape Charles and its amazing bayside beach. I have one bedroom available upstairs. It is a large room w/ a full bed (for now), WiFi connection, tv, fridge, coffee pot and a dresser. One full bathroom upstairs to share.
A refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot are in each room. The guests may use those items or choose to dine out. I have a back patio and a grill the guests may use to cookout and eat outside on the grill.
Crossroads Coffee Shop is w/i walking distance or a 3 minute drive from the house. Post office, banks, restaurants from McDonald’s to Mallards on the Wharf.
  • Jennifer’s turn-of-the-last-century house is in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to Onancock and various places along Virginia’s Eastern Shore. There are steps to navigate to the room and a trio of friendly dogs and a conversational cat. Bathroom is separate from room, but close by. I appreciated the location and Jennifer’s hospitality and would stay here again.

  • Oasis This home is an oasis. Comfiest beds and linens and I swear the softest, luxurious blankets and furniture. My family of 7 stayed comfortably in this place for a week and didn’t want to leave! Our hosts were welcoming and so gracious- they even brought extra sheets when one of our infants became ill, and picked up the dirty sheets- what a blessing! So far above and beyond. Lots of small touches than turn this place into a luxurious oasis away from daily life. We stayed from Christmas Day until New Year’s Day and loved the Christmas decor, it was so cozy and warm. The patio and grill were fun to use even during winter! Many memories made on Chincoteague island.

    Jennie2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah and Durbin have a beautiful home in a quiet serene setting. Walking each day to visit the horses or a hike on the property are bonuses to this quaint home. Super clean and very convenient to head to Chincoteague Island or see other bay attractions. Sarah and Durbin provided everything we needed to make our stay extra special, clean linens, coffee, and water! The 3 season porch is a lovely place to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee. Terrific getaway for a chance to recharge and enjoy nature.

Marsh Point Loft is fully furnished and situated on a large farm surrounded by nature. View of saltmarsh/creek and forest from all windows. If your looking for a modernized place near the city, then this isn't the place for you. One bed, living room with pull out couch, with small kitchen and bathroom. Large screened in porch and sauna room. Access to creek for kayaking, etc. and short walk to a quiet public beach. Please inquire about fresh home-cooked meals and eco-touring opportunities.

A dock is available for kayak launching and boat docking. Advanced notice is needed if you plan on bringing your own kayaks/boat in order to best plan and accommodate for your experience.
Our closest neighbor is about 1 mile away and our residence is very remote which offers the renter unprecedented privacy and comfort away from any city lights and noises. Be prepared to hear only the sounds of nature and see the stars like never before.
  • Be sure to get up early for sunrise at the beach and visit Cedar Island with Zack as part of his ecotourism ventures. That visit became the gem of our whole Eastern Shore experience. Zack is a kind, prompt, very patient (!) host - and helped us find all we needed for a great experience. Thank you, Zack!

  • Secluded retreat a few feet from the marshland. Very quiet serene environment with birds and other critters you’d expect in a natural location. The craftsmanship of the woodwork in the loft is very high quality and stylish. TV and WiFi reception was very good. We came in late and left early for our one night stay so didn’t get a chance to meet Zachary or experience the ecotour, but we’d love to come back and get out on the water with him. Giving the remote location of the rental, we’d advise you to have all your food necessities with you. Thanks Zachary🙏

The house is situated on Market Street, the main road that runs through the town of Onancock, and is surrounded by other picturesque Victorians. Many restaurants, shops and attractions are located within walking distance. Please see our "House Manual" for more specific info on the town and what it has to offer (unfortunately, this is only viewable once a booking is made. • Great place to stay the host Was great to work with

  • i loved that there was a stow away bed for our two year old. thank you for raking and clearing the backyard for a very safe and welcoming spot for all the grandchildren. We used the entire house and the 11 of us were able to have as much privacy as we wanted or all gather in one room. my only issue was that the gas logs in living room did not put out much heat. I want to return in warm weather to enjoy more of the outside---I forgot to mention how much we enjoyed the firepit. also, it was wonderful having an abundance of dinnerware and glassware.

  • My family and I were blessed to have a comfortable space to stay while visiting during the loss of our Aunt. Having a clean and cozy house to unwind was exactly what we needed. We felt at home! The house is amazing and the yard is magical. My daughter named the house "The Secret Flower Garden House". Tom and Kitty were extremely helpful and we know where we will be staying for any future visits.

    Joy2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Very beautiful, clean, historic house where we spent a wonderful long weekend! Kitty was very friendly and responsible. Would definitely come back again. We wish this house and their owners a lot of new and great guests!

  • You can’t go wrong Tom and Kitty are always there for you !

    Tom2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The house of Kitty and Tom is very big. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. There is a piano in the house and many old CDs that have delighted our ears. You can use the barbecue and enjoy the garden in the evening. The surroundings are very beautiful and peaceful. Possibility to rent kayaks at the port. Tom greeted us and phoned after we left.

Get your zen on and enjoy the night sky, whispering pines, birds singing, and plenty of yard to stroll about and play games. Screened gazebo for lounging or dinning, fire pit,and outdoor enclosed shower. Located approx 30 min from Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge/Assateague Island & NASA's Wallops Island. Great hunting and fishing. A biker's delight. A wonderful retreat for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, hunters, anglers, and families. Enjoy this grand old farm house, circa 1932.
The house is surrounded by farm land and a small forest directly across the road from the front yard. You're not likely to encounter anyone other than Alesia and her son. Contact with locals will be the occasional car or pick-up driving by. Don't forget to wave---almost everyone waves at you whether or not you know them. I usually like to take a stroll down the road after dinner or walk around the yard.
  • Raenelle is a awesome host with a beautiful home. Both times I have stayed I was never disappointed. Everything you need is there. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Virginia.

  • Very relaxing and private location. My family did not want to leave. Highly recommended

    Tom2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • The host was very helpful and professional. The house was clean and exceeded our expectations. It's a good location if you want to spend time in Onancock, or visit the Virginia Shore.

    Joanne2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our group stayed at this home for a second summer in a row and it's perfect. The rooms offered many options for combining different people in our group. The house is very clean and the hosts are communicative. It's in a beautiful location as well. We were on the shore for work purposes and the house offered great spaces for being able to focus on our work as well offering more room for the members in our family who tagged along to relax.

    Natali2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a revelation. I never stayed in such place so set in a period of history. Everything was from as if a period movie set. The antique Victorian furniture, the four poster beds, an artsy parlor complete with an upright piano and turn table and huge collection of vinyls dating back to 30's. a kitchen equipped with virtually everything anyone would need. The gazebo outside is also fabulous. The wide expanse of view and the starry nights in the country side adds to the experience.

  • Conveniently located. Quiet and spacious. Easy access to the beaches. Great value!

    Haihong2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first AirBnb experience. It certainly exceeded my expectations. The house is very cool, with a ton of character and history, and ample space for this single dad with 7 kids in tow. There is an awesome screened in gazebo in the large backyard (which backs up to a huge cornfield) as well as a fire pit and charcoal grill. Little touches, like the season pass to Assateague, local brochures and menus made us feel right at home. The location was perfect. Being located right off highway 13 (DelMarVa's main road) was very convenient. The house was also very close to Chincoteague and other attractions. Over the course of our 6 day stay, we went to the beach and saw the wild ponies in Chincoteague and Assateague, went to the beach, climbed the lighthouse, went to the NASA visitor center at Wallops Island, went to a waterpark, went horseback riding, fishing, crabbing, had a great meal at Mallards, visited the Ocean City, MD boardwalk, and had plenty of time to relax in between.

    Boutique hotel and gourmet restaurant.
One standard double bed, smaller room.
his boutique hotel is located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia just four blocks from the deep water harbor on Onancock Creek which empties into the Chesapeake Bay. The hotel features a full service bar, a restaurant with two dining rooms, one casual and one formal, and ten guest rooms. This hotel features sophisticated simplicity with an urban feel in middle of small town. The beds are very comfortable and there is lovely artwork throughout the hotel
  • Beautiful hotel

    Carmen2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • What a charming boutique hotel in a quaint little town. The room was darling with antique furniture and the bathroom was cute. The rain shower head was the best ever! I parked right in front on the street which was handy. Be prepared to schlep your luggage up a steep narrow staircase. As others have mentioned, dinner at the hotel was outstanding. So difficult to pick from the fabulous diverse menu. I had petite filet which was cooked and flavored to absolute perfection, along with a crab cake that was also divine. Local wine by the glass was a pleasant surprise. Dinner there is expensive but I feel like I got what I paid for. Full breakfast was included which helps defray the cost. Gary made a yummy savory cheese omelet with flavorful Canadian ham and house bread toasted. Hopefully you will get to also meet Charlotte who is interesting to talk to and her art is displayed throughout the hotel and restaurant. I wish I could have stayed at least one more night to continue chatting with Gary and Charlotte, to experience more from the dinner menu, and explore the town. If you're prepared for the expense of the Chesapeake area, you won't be disappointed in the Charlotte Hotel and restaurant!

My home is situated on Virginia's Eastern Shore a beautiful natural rural setting with the Atlantic Ocean and barrier islands on the east and the Chesapeake Bay on the west. Only ten to fifteen miles across this quiet peaceful place is full of nature. A great place for birding, fishing, kayaking and boating. Chincoteague and Assateague State Park are only 35 minutes away with wild Ponies and a beautiful beach. Onancock on the Bay is 10 minutes away with great eating establishments.
Locustville is a quiet little town, with a post office, a little museum Locustville Academy, some old historic homes and farm fields. Burton shore is five minutes away and at one time had an active dock and boat launch that took you out to Cedar Island. Today, it is public space and a good place to relax and read or observe the shore birds.
  • If walls could talk, the stories this 1850 house would share! What an extra perk it was to catch sight of the rocket as it was launched from Wallops Island from nearby Burton Shore. The home is situated off the beaten track of busy Rte 13 midway between Chincoteaque and Cape Charles. Eileen is a charming host and a gifted artist.

    Marianne2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Eileen is a wonderful hostess. She recommended a nice restaurant and gave us directions to our next Airbnb stop. The room is comfortable and very clean. I recommend that you consider this space if you are in the area.

    Denny2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Eileen's place exceeded our expectations. Her home is very special. It is beautifully restored and is decorated with art work, many of the paintings were done by Eileen. The bedroom is huge and has 6 windows allowing abundant light to filter in. The house is furnished with many antique pieces. Every touch was done artistically. Eileen is a kind, friendly and welcoming host. This was one of our favorite Airbnb experiences!

    Ellyce2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Eileen’s house is absolutely gorgeous. The room is gigantic and very clean. Eileen is a fantastic host, she was easy to talk to, provided local tips and great conversation. She’s a great cook we loved her breakfast. I would absolutely stay again. Thanks for everything Eileen!!

    Lindsey2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • There thoughtful host and beautiful area. She made the best scrambled eggs.

    Mary2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We, me and my wife, spent a weekend at Eileen’s place and we enjoyed every moment we spent with her. She is a very friendly person and enjoys hosting people. Though the house is more than 100 years old it is well kept and has all modern amenities. Will strongly recommend if you need to spend some time in or around Locustville VA.

    Sridhar2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived a bit later than anticipated, but that was not a problem for Eileen. At least, as far as we could tell! She was gracious, she met us in the driveway when our gps was buggy, she showed us her lovely home, and off to bed we went. The home is historic and adorned with many of Eileen's wonderful paintings as well as paintings by colleagues. Lovely. The next morning, as we woke to the sound of birds flying overhead, and the rustle of a cool breeze in a large room with wonderfully high ceilings, we meandered downstairs and Eileen prepared us coffee, offered a wonderful breakfast option, which we declined (not hungry) and chatted with us about local lore and amenities. We left and headed south. A great stay and a very nice hostess.

    Barbara2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Eileen is a great host, very attentive and thoughtful. My daughter and I enjoyed a nice and peaceful stay, away from the city and yet not too far from Chincoteague. We really appreciated the home made breakfast, very delightful.

  • Joyce was very accommodating and gracious when we found ourselves without a place to stay in the area. She went the extra mile and we are grateful. We particularly enjoyed watching the sun come up each morning with our coffee on the deck. Very clean home and very comfortable!

    Carla2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • We. loved. this. house. So much so, we opted out of most of our planned activities, as the cottage offered adventure in itself. The deck is huge, the dock was the perfect perch for bird watching, the two boats were a fun way to exercise and explore. Naps on the hammock, anyone? Inside the cottage, swoon! The house is so well thought out; all the small touches and homey finishes made for the most cozy space. Bigger than I had imagined it to be, we all had plenty of space to spread out yet, come together for meals in the kitchen or games in the living room. We wish we could have stayed longer & we will definitely look into coming back soon! THANK YOU!!!

    Melissa2019-08-26T00:00:00Z

  • Joyce was an excellent host and the house and grounds were truly lovely. There's a large picture window/ glass doors at the back of the house that lead out to a spacious deck overlooking a creek. The house was well appointed and created a wonderful environment for our family visit. We would recommend Joyce and the property to any guests looking to stay in the area.

  • Amazing home!!! Beautiful home with an amazing deck area and small dock. The home was comfortable and tastefully decorated. We had a minor issue and Joyce responded quickly. I agree with the other reviews that the small cemetery is fascinating and not at all creepy. Bring your bug spray though- it’s a little buggy on the deck! We had a wonderful time and hope to return next year.

    Lisa2018-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Joyce and the Heartsworth Cottage was a true hidden gem! The location was amazing - set on the bay, with great morning views, a lovely relaxing hammock and great for bird watching! The town was great - with fantastic dining, great antique shops and historic locations.

  • Fantastic cottage with a beautiful deck overlooking the water. The cottage itself is beautiful and really very comfortable. Joyce was very helpful and welcoming. All in all the cottage and the peace and quiet of the surrounding area made this a great getaway. We will be trying to get back there soon.

Welcome to our relaxing 1611 square feet completely furnished craftsman bungalow built in the 1920s. A great home base if you plan to explore the Eastern Shore. Our home in Onley is family-friendly and includes toys, books, TVs and a PS3 with games. No Smoking. No Pets.
Our cozy craftsman feels very spacious as you enter the large all season room with two separate sitting areas including a porch swing! A large dining room with a table that seats 8 and a small sunroom with a computer & printer at the back lead into the fully equipped petite kitchen. There is a small 3 piece bathroom off the kitchen as well as access to the washer & dryer. Up the wide staircase, you will find 3 large bedrooms all with walk-in closets and the main bathroom. Original trim, windows, hardware, doors, and hardwood floors contribute to the homes comfortable character. The temperature of the home and ambient lighting is monitored to provide maximum comfort and ease. Google minis' are available to provide local restaurants & activity information including tides & weather and music!
The Town of Onley was one of several Eastern Shore towns that sprang up along the railroad in the mid-1880s. The village was originally known as Crossroads. Churches play a large part in the Town as well. Onley United Methodist Church, Onley Baptist, St. Peter the Apostle’s Catholic Church, Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints and several independent congregations all meet in the area. A Neighborhood Watch group not only provides extra eyes for the Town’s Police Force but meets socially as well, even spearheading the Town’s Christmas caroling activities. Onley Recreation Association operates a pool and tennis complex and boasts an award-winning swim team. While all this activity bodes well for the future of Onley, the Town has faced progression without the loss of its small-town qualities. Only an estimated 500 people reside within the corporate limits where small-town amenities abound. A visit to Onley is in itself a pleasure with restaurants, hotels and plenty of shopping so whether you’re looking for that small-town atmosphere or the big store experience, you’ll find it here in Onley.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Sean's place. Sean was extremely responsive to all of our texts. Even when there was a mixup and the cleaning lady didn't leave the door open for us, things were taken care of immediately and Sean was quick to respond. We had a wonderful time relaxing at the restaurant bar(sushi was amazing) and talking with the locals and other couple staying at the inn. We will definitely be back next time we are visiting family in the area.

  • Came to town for work and needed to book a place last minute. Sean was not only accommodating but also a very nice and gracious host. The restaurant on site was delicious as well. I would stay here again!

  • Nice quiet place, very clean, good location. Easy check in/check out. Thank you, Sean! Would definitely recommend.

  • It was clean, comfy, and close to a lot of food choices in walking distance. My husband and I ran to the Wharf and around some of the town (3.5 miles) in the mornings. One of the best restaurants there is Janet’s General Store and Cafe. Get the quiche or the orange French toast! Sweet little town and 30 min to Cape Charles or Chincoteague and Assateague.

  • Sean is a very welcoming and easy going host. The Inn is very lovely and our room was comfortable and clean. The air conditioning was great too! We enjoyed having a really good drink at the bar. We dined at the bistro and the food was outstanding. We felt that the bistro had just the right amount of atmosphere. This really was a good place to stay in the quaint, small town of Onancock. We would definitely stay there again.

  • What a great find! The Maurice Inn is a delightfully charming inn in the heart of Virginia’s eastern shore. Our room was spacious, cozy, sparkling clean, and comfortable. The decor is bright, cheerful, and inviting. Sean is an excellent host and has thought of everything right down to the mini fridge and Keurig in the room. The Maurice Restaurant and bar is an added bonus! Incredible French Thai fusion that’s out of this world was an unexpected treat after a long day of touring. I’d definitely stay again and recommend to others.

  • This is a wonderful little spot that has everything you need and is a short driving distance from Chincoteague Island (which was the main destination of our trip.) The room we received was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The in-house restaurant served great dinner and above standard complimentary breakfast. We enjoyed walking in the town after breakfast - there are interesting historic homes and charming gardens to see. The drive to Chincoteague on both days of our stay was short and enjoyable. For anyone visiting this part of Virginia, this place will be an excellent choice.

  • An exceptional historic boutique hotel. Beautifully appointed with many personal touches, including Charlotte's original artwork displayed throughout. If you are a fan of one-of-a-kind places, you won't be disappointed. Be aware that rooms are on second and third floors with stairs to climb.

  • Our experience at the Charlotte and in Onancock was perfect. The hotel is charming and unique and food and service was excellent. It's within walking distance of the wharf and a lot of great restaurants. If you want a relaxing stay in a place where you can really get to know the area this is for you. If you can, book a trip to Tangier island too...

  • Cute B&B in a quiet little town. Certainly more going on during the summer season, but right the town is very chill. The rooms and common areas were very quaint, clean, well-decorated, and comfortable. Nice breakfast included in the rate.
