Holidays where the gods live. Our Villa Doris is located at the foot of Mount Olympus, with a beautiful view over the Aegean Sea, 3.5 km from the beach. Guests can choose whether to go to the mountains or the sea, to visit ancient excavation sites or the "magic forest".
Villa Doris is situated in a small, typical Greek village, which has not yet been discovered by tourism. At breakfast on the terrace you have a beautiful view over the mediterranean sea, which, with clear visibility, reaches to the coast of Chalkidiki, some 70 km away. And during the evening BBQ in the garden, the summits of the Olympus light up.
Upstairs are three bedrooms each equipped with a double bed. The small "Mountain Room" has a narrow double bed with 1.40 m width, the other two beds are 1.80 m wide. The mattresses, by the way, have different degrees of hardness. If you like, you can try all the beds before you decide for a room. Also upstairs are two bathrooms, a small one for the fast lane and a large one to relax. For my children is at least one bubble bath per stay part of the mandatory program.
Another hotspot for children between 2 and 10 years is the former vegetable garden, situated between the kitchen balcony and the barbecue place. Here they can dig and build as much as they like. You can find suitable tools in the tool shed or in the garage.
Please feel free to use all the other furnishings, whether any utensils from the kitchen, bathing and beach gear from the garage or - in the rare case of bad weather - one of the many books or a game from the small board game collection.
You can use all rooms on the ground and first floor, all balconies as well as the whole garden including the barbecue place. We ask you not to use the cellar and the hobby room next to the garage, as we have our private things stored there.
Interaction with guests
I live with my family in Vienna. Our Villa Doris is our holiday home, which we would like to share with you. On site are our great Greek neighbors Maria and Nico Agelis. They know everything and everybody in the village and have advice for almost every (emergency) case. I am always available to you by phone, chat or mail.
Other things to note
1. The way the balcony doors are locked is a bit unusual. You have to pull the handle far up before you can turn the key.
2. The fuse box is located in the staircase next to the garage door behind a picture with many notes.
3. If repairs are necessary, please let me know.
