The space
Walk through the time-honoured entrance of this stunning abode, and feel transported into another world that captures the romance of a bygone era. A masterful embodiment of Javanese design, Villa Kapungkur is a magnificent five-bedroom property set within a serene water garden. This Bali villa is also conveniently a short walk from beautiful beaches, designer boutiques and exquisite restaurants; the world-famous Uluwatu surf breaks are just a 20-minute drive away.
The owners’ passion to preserve and celebrate Indonesia’s rich heritage is showcased through a series of restored Javanese structures and an extraordinary collection of antique furniture and ornately-carved decorative features. The Balinese theme is maintained throughout with a classic palette of natural stone, recycled timbers and graceful verandas crafted into a cohesive whole.
Its well-appointed amenities include a stunning 15m private pool and a waterfall feature, and an open-sided Wantilan-style pavilion with a kitchen, bar and lounge area under a soaring thatched roof and an al fresco dining area. Wellness amenities such as a spa and yoga pavilion ensure a relaxing and holistic stay.

• The main indoor dining area features an alfresco setup with a rectangular dining table that can seat up to 10 guests with additional kitchen counter seating for up to 8.
