This flat is on the top floor of the family house (we live on the first floor) and looks right over the piazza of the medieval town of Gromo, awarded by Touring Club Italy with the orange flag. You find yourself in another dimension, with the fireplace inside, and the true mountain life outside. From the café to the restaurant, from the bakery to the greengrocer. All main services are at a few steps. And if you plan to come with public transports, I come pick you up at the train station!

The space

You let me know in advance what you need and how you would like to spend your time here, and I will provide it and make sure everything will go that way!

Interaction with guests

Gromo, and Allesandra's apartment are gorgeous. The town is off the beaten path, and the apartment is on a beautiful and busy piazza.

Gromo is a sweet little town with nice shops selling local produce: bakery, delicatessen, greengrocer. It was ideal for stopping over en route to the Orobie mountains. Alessandra was wonderful to communicate with from booking to check out. She is very knowledgeable and also caring while leaving you plenty of space to enjoy the flat. It has wonderful views of the mountains from a sizeable balcony on one side, and views of the town square on the other. The flat was spacious, airy and spotless. We would stay here again.

Response from Alessandra:
Ciao John, it was a shame the whether was so unfriendly during your stay, I really hope you enjoyed anyway the Lago Gemelli hike. I thought that was very brave of you. Thank for your for such lovely review. It is always a pleasure to have tourists as engaged and enthusiastic as you and Sara. All my best wishes to both of you. alessandra

Reading opinions of other people I was expecting an amazing house with great host but It was even better than I had imagined. The place is amazing, there is everything what you could need and more. The view from the flat is spectacular. It's a pleasure to sit on the balcony and look at this picturesque scenery. Also there are shops with fresh bread and fruits and all that is right under your nose. The mountains are wonderful if you like hiking. And Alessandra is a great person. She helped us a lot. She told us what is worth seeing in the area and how to get there. We have always known that we could count on her. We have spent the great time in Gromo, thanks Alessandra. :-)

Alessandra's place in Gromo was fabulous. A perfect spot right in the centre of town, with a gorgeous balcony and wonderful view over the hills from it. Everything you need is right on your doorstep, a fabulous restaurant (it was porcini season), some great local shops for fresh bread, cheeses, hams, vegetables and all the other bits and pieces, fabulous hiking in the area (once you find the trailheads :-). Alessandra was a great host, speedy responses to questions, super helpful and welcoming. Anyway, altogether a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Highly recommended and we will definitely come back on our next trip to the area.

Alessandra was really helpful and very accommodating to a single traveller, who was backpacking by public transport. The apartment had a lovely balcony, which I enjoyed sitting on and reading! The little village was quite busy, as it was holiday season and there were concerts late into the evenings, some more enjoyable than others! But it had everything you needed. If you love the great outdoors this was perfectly located for walking.

I'm 41. Italian. I moved to Rome from northern Italy in 2012 and fell in love with this amazing city, so much so that after a couple of years I bought this flat, which I am really proud of. I also lived in London, for 5 years and I travelled quite a lot. When travelling I like to give myself a few treats, especially when it comes down to accomodations. Here, as a host, I do my best to offer what I, as a guest, look for.
