The location is a calm village - Fort Langley, the first BC capital. Bus service is a 5 minute walk. The local town has over 33 different shops displaying local creative pottery, jewelry, antiques, etc.. We have it all, and 4 golf courses close.

The space

This is an upstairs room with a comfortable bed and very quiet. Being an easterly side of our house you can enjoy the morning sun shining to welcome you to another day.
3/4 sized very comfortable bed. Carpeted floor, closet to hang your clothes and a dresser.

Guest access

If you like or need to cook your own food we offer our kitchen with free use of pots, pans, plates, bowls etc. We do expect you will clean up after but cook up a storm and I will watch in amazement.

Interaction with guests

Should you want privacy that is possible. Should you want to chat, cook or compare life's notes that also is possible. Come visit us. We like having company.

Other things to note

Fort Langley is a small historical village close to the Fraser River. There are ample trails to run, walk or cycle. Four golf courses are close, three are really close and the fourth not so close. There are many quaint shops of all kinds approx. one kilometer away - walking distance...

If you see the ad for room by Gary, dont hesitate a minute to book it. If you are travelling alone like I did, you will get to meet a great guy to talk to. He will personally guide you and help you in every sort of way he can. And you will not feel that why you are talking so openly with a guy you just met like you know him since long. The house is clean and great. But more then that its the spirit of the host that will impress you.

I had a long drive and needed to find a stop to rest that evening and the hosts were very accommodating to my schedule and met me when I arrived. The neighbourhood was nice and quiet, the house very charming, the wifi fast. Thank you for the morning breakfast cereal!

Gary is a great host and made me feel like a visiting member of his family, including digging up a brand new toothbrush for me when I misplaced my toiletry kit. The room is comfortable and clean. Although it was a bit warm, I slept like a baby. Thanks!

Gary and his lovely wife Lori are such warm and welcoming hosts. They will make you feel like family. Lori keeps a tidy beautiful home, and is always around to make sure you are comfortable and every need met. I would recommend their hospitality to any traveler. Wish I could have stayed longer.

I have a burn to grow vegetables and I do it in my backyard. I try to emulate the desires of Certified Organic Farmers. Water conservation is important to me and I have water barrels connected to my house down spouts and the water is then run through garden hoses, on the ground, to several barrels located in strategic locations. I never wear white pants.....
I like war movies not because of war but because of the relationships of those portrayed.
I joke, tease, encourage and challenge people to be better but at heart, I am a serious person and I have stories to tell, but listen also. My favorite saying? I squished that to this - oknwht?. Can you figure that one out?
