The name says it. It's a brick house in an old steel town that is comfy and quiet. It's located 20 minutes to Pittsburgh, 15 minutes to Monroeville, and about a mile to downtown Braddock.
Two bedrooms, and a pull-out couch in the living room, make this an ideal space to host a family or group of friends visiting the Pittsburgh-area. Is it the hippest, most-interestingly-decorated space you've ever stayed in? Absolutely not. It's a functional space that let's you cook, plan, and relax. If the weather is nice, there's a backyard for games and hanging out.
A lockbox gets you in. You'll have access to a full kitchen, dining room, living room (with pull-out couch), two bedrooms, and a full bathroom. No TV or laundry.
Interaction with guests
I'll be available mostly by phone or text. Those details will depend on the specific dates; I will coordinate with you in advance.
Other things to note
I-376 is the main way to get close to the neighborhood. It's usually pretty easy, unless it's rush hour, or there's a lane closure/accident in a tunnel. You'll note that the municipality I live in is North Braddock, but the address is in East Pittsburgh. That's not a mistake; in Pennsylvania, the mailing addresses are often different from the municipality, for postal purposes. The 107 Center Street address will get you to my place whether you enter East Pittsburgh or North Braddock into GPS.
Please behave like you would at your grandma's house. It's an old structure, and so "hard living" is also hard on the place. It's perfectly functional, and perfect for day-to-day living. Hard partying will be hard on the place and hard on my neighbors; it's not meant to be treated like a hotel room.
