The space
Villa di Tizzano, nestled at the gateway to the Chianti region, offers a unique blend of historical charm and luxurious holiday retreat. Just 25 minutes from Florence, the villa is surrounded by picturesque vineyards, olive groves, and rolling hills. The neighborhood features charming Tuscan villages such as Greve, Panzano, and Radda, known for their dining, wine tasting, and local markets. Rich in cultural and historical attractions, guests can explore medieval castles, Romanesque churches, and Renaissance villas. The stunning Chianti landscape is perfect for outdoor activities like hiking and cycling.
Historically significant, Villa di Tizzano has been home to illustrious families including the Scolari, Pitti, and Medici. In 1585, it was gifted to the sculptor Giambologna by Grand Duke Francesco de Medici. The villa has been meticulously restored by Elizabeth Pandolfini, preserving its original grandeur. The property, 1.200 mq, features elegant common areas, including the Hall of Arms, a Renaissance kitchen, and a ballroom with a coffered ceiling. Guests can relax in the library or the formal sitting rooms. The villa boasts luxurious bedrooms with antique decor, including the Federico suite with 18th-century embellishments and a grand bathroom. Kindly be aware that the owner resides in the opposite wing of the villa, having separate entrances and gardens to ensure complete privacy for both parties.
The swimming pool is available for use from May to September. However, if you wish to use the pool during other periods, you may request access, and an additional cost could be associated.
Given the size of the property, it is highly recommended to hire the maid service. The Gardner is included in the price that take care of the swimming pool and the garden
Early check-in and late check-out may be available for an additional charge.
Lastly, a refundable deposit of 3000 € is required upon check-in for each booking.

Pool Opening:
The pool is open from May to September. For the remaining period, it is available upon request and may incur an additional charge. During the rest of the year, the pool can be made available upon request, with a possible surcharge.
Please inform us in advance if you are interested in using the heated pool. Heating is available only
during non-summer months and requires the cover to be maintained over the pool. A staff member will handle the daily opening and closing of the pool (otherwise, the heat would dissipate, making heating ineffective).
