If you are looking for busy, congested touristy places with loud music, heaving crowds, traffic congestions and touts; then this is not the place for you. Both Robert and Max have spent their considerable time, energies and resources to create a wonderful, peaceful, tranquil Malaysian fruit and vegetable farm. Romax is situated less than an hour's drive from the city centre of Malacca - out in the countryside and very secluded. So if you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing place to chill out and take things easy, then don't give Romax Farm a miss. You will not regret it. Both Robert, Max and their families were very accommodating; many times going out of their way to ensure we were comfortable with our stay. It was such a pleasure just to sit and listen to the sounds of birds chirping away, blue skies and clean, crisp air especially after a short thunderstorm. We enjoyed our very short stay there and especially more so when I discovered that we had common friends back in Singapore. What a trip! We are already planning to go back soon for a much longer stay and to discover more of the locality, the foods and the people. If there's one trip you should make this year or the next, this must be the one.

A nice farm stay and unique experience for city dwellers like myself even though I'm also active in the growing my own fruits and vegetables in Singapore. A little out of the way and it will be better if future travelers drive at least a SUV for off road driving as the way in and out can get slightly bumpy. Robert and Max are very helpful right from the start and their hospitality and warmth will definitely make your stay fulfilling.

Host Yeow Her Shen was warm, friendly and obliging. He joined us for an evening walk round the farm and told us to help ourselves to the fruits on the trees. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise and quite fancy too.

Second stay on the farm, less than a year apart. Again, driving in from Singapore was a breeze. Requested for the single storey house this round for the convenience of my aging parents. House comes with a big living area and a very pretty open air bathroom. Strong wifi signal. Homecooked breakfast continues to surprise us every day. Excited to see Robert's plans to transform his farm taking shape. We look forward to yet another different experience on our next stay! (Now, which hotel is able to provide a different experience each time we return?)

Our stay at Robert’s farm is a pleasant and memorable one. We fell in love with the kampong house upon arriving. It's simply beautiful. The two bedrooms are airy and clean. Our host served us their farm-grown guava smoothie. It's delicious! There are many kinds of fruits in the orchards. You can never be so close to nature. We are told about the dragon fruit’s flowering during the night in darkness. Robert invited us to have dinner with his family at a local famous noname restaurant which you will never discover on your own. The moon was full and looks brighter and bigger. There were so many stars which you could not see in a city due to light pollution. The breakfast was very good and our sons enjoyed it very much. Many birds chirped and flied around farm in the morning. The spotting of a flock of black-napped orioles made it a perfect stay for us as bird lovers.
