One of a kind Secret Garden & Guest House with Mountain Views, located near Red Rock Canyon. Just a short drive to Strip, for World Class Entertainment, Dining & shopping. Perfect base camp. The space

New to Airbnb, please read the bottom of the detailed listing description 'OTHER THINGS TO NOTE'.
The spacious separate private guest house, has one bedroom with queen bed, one bath (access thru bedroom), Living room has a trundle bed that makes into a queen bed or two singles. (real beds). The kitchenette is well stocked with most necessities and includes a full sized refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, toaster oven, single cooktop, Keurig single cup coffee maker and regular coffee make.

OUTDOOR LIVING SPACE
French doors off the living room opens out into a 3,000SF enclosed garden, Koi ponds, courtyard and lawn with multiple seating area's.
The main house is on the other side of the huge courtyard/patio, is where the owner lives.
A huge BBQ Island with a commercial Infrared Grill/Rotisserie, outdoor dining area, there is additional seating on the raised patio.
On the North side of the patio, the sounds of the waterfall and bubbling water of the gardens two Koi ponds contributes to the tranquility of the space. The Spa is located above the ponds. The Spa (Hot Tub) is not available during hot summer months.
Depending on the time of year (season) you might also enjoy some fresh fruits and vegetables from our Organic Garden.
Relax in our large soothing private Jacuzzi hot tub under the stars. The built-in ozone filter helps keep the water sanitized and clean.

Guest access

Outdoor Spa (hot tub not available during hot summer months) , Courtyard/garden with BBQ Island, Outdoor dining area, Koi Ponds & waterfall. Private road (gravel/dirt) leads to Large free parking area & Guest House with private entry. We must meet you down the road to guide you in the first time. Great base camp for your fun excursions. Additionally, there are hiking, biking trails, parks nearby. No resort or parking fees.

Interaction with guests

We offer directions and suggestions. Our interaction depends on guest. We meet you upon check in, and give you a brief tour. Always available to answer questions or resolve any issues, while respecting your privacy to enjoy our property. We are not a traditional Bed & B and do not provide breakfast or maid service. We can offer suggestions to great restaurants and markets. Since we live in another house on the property, our paths may cross during the daytime hours, as we need to maintain garden etc. For those interested we offer gardening tips. Learn how to grow your own food.

PLEASE READ BEFORE REQUESTING TO BOOK! If you are NEW to Airbnb - please provide a PROFILE , BEFORE making a request to book. Host, wants to know who our guest are. This private property is part of our home so we have different standards than a hotel.
At a minimum, A picture of you,not your dog or cat. Write something about who you are, like jobs, hobbies and who you are traveling with. We may require ID at check in. A novel of your life story isn't necessary; introduce yourself! Just write about what you think someone meeting you for the first time would want to know. An email, phone number, offline ID, and state the purpose of your trip and who you are traveling with. Omitting profile or having no reviews will be considered when others are requesting same dates. Verified ID & credit card information is held by Airbnb & only profile and contact information is disclosed if you book with us.
This is part of the TRUST & VERIFY process and helps both Host & Guest feel more secure, by knowing something about each other. Please plan to arrive at a reasonable time, and no later than 10:00 PM unless approved. We are not a hotel that has 24 hr check- in. We must escort you to property the first time, due to location. We can not allow another from your party to check in first, as this would violate Airbnb policy and our rules. Due to our location, our internet service has limited broadband and speed so is for general use only.

Our goal is for you and your guest to have a wonderful relaxing stay, and enjoy all the amenities we have to offer. All communication regarding these rules must be done on the Airbnb message center.
We reserve the right to decline any guests if we feel the accommodations are not suitable for your needs, or if the acceptance of a reservation would violate any rules set forth in this agreement. Please rest assured that the following rules we ask you to agree on are not for arbitrary reasons.
By paying for accommodations for the Guest House, you and your guest(s) necessarily agree to the following:
CHECK IN/OUT - Check in time is 3:00pm and check out is 11:00am. Guests shall vacate the premises at the date and expiration time stated in your reservation. Do not use GPS to locate property, as it is often wrong for our location & will not take you to the RIGHT entrance to access the guest house. We also must meet you away from property and guide you in the first time to avoid you getting lost & disturbing our neighbors. We may require ID for check in. Please, no late check in's, and only the one making the reservation must check in first.
PARKING/TRANSPORTATION: You must have or rent a car to rent this listing. No more than two (2) cars may be on property. There is no public transportation in our neighborhood. We do allow Taxi's, or ride sharing such as Uber/Lyft services on our property. No take-out delivery is permitted.
KEY The key must be left upon checkout. Keys not returned will result in a charge against your security deposit to change locks (re-key) all doors, at your expense.
SECURITY DEPOSIT- Minimum $150 deposit. Airbnb holds the credit card information, and all payments are made via Airbnb. You will be responsible for any, and all damage that exceeds the amount of deposit.
NO PETS - Although we love animals. We have lots of open garden area that can not be protected. We have recently adopted a sweet Golden Retriever mix that is Allergen/shed free. Allergen free, trained and well behaved older dogs with kennel will be considered and must be pre-approved. No cats or other animals. Other restrictions and pet deposit may apply. Discuss with us first!!!
LENGTH OF STAY 3-7 days min/ max
CANCELLATION POLICY - Strict. You must read and understand this policy.
CLEANING FEE - A $45 cleaning/sanitizing fee will be assessed on all rentals. Please pick up after yourself, take out the trash and do not leave dirty dishes. We are on a private well and septic tank, so please do not flush tampons (wrap up and dispose of in trash). If you leave the place in disarray, we reserve the right to charge an excessive cleaning fee of $45/hr after the first hour. Minimum stays are three nights.
FURNISHINGS - Furniture, towels, bedding,robes, mattress pads, pillows, pictures, utensils, appliances, TV, sound bar, DVD player, lamps, or any other property supplied with the rental must remain at the property. DO NOT MOVE FURNITURE.
ESSENTIALS - Sheets, towels, bedding, robes, hair dryer and basic toiletries are provided with the rental but are not changed during your stay, unless previous arrangements are made. Additional charges may apply. Please, no hair dye allowed. Washer/dryer available for guest staying 5 days or more.
OCCUPANCY -No third party rentals. This is a separate guest house with one bedroom with a queen bed,one bath, living room, & kitchenette, perfect for two guests. Bath is only accessible through the bedroom. The guest house has a trundle bed (pull out) in the living room that can sleep, one additional guests,(2 single beds or 1 queen) $20/nt per guest after 2 guest. Children are considered guest & will charged $20/nt. If accepted, they must be supervised at all times. No children allowed in hot tub. Only authorized registered guest(s) are allowed on premises.
If you are looking for a "Party House", this is NOT the place, and you may NOT use it for parties, events, or photo shoots. Violation(s) of house rules will result in immediate termination of the reservation, and forfeiture of all fee's. We do have outside entry/driveway video surveillance for safety.
We do not authorize the use of our address, as your mailing address. DO NOT BRING ANYONE OR GIVE OUT OUR ADDRESS TO OUR PROPERTY WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION.
HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE - Ramps,& wide doors only. The shower & toilet is not equipped.
ELECTRIC - INDOOR FIREPLACE/HEATER/AIR CONDITIONER - Please turn off or down while you are out. Please DO NOT run Air Conditioner or heating with windows or doors open, and turn off or down while you are away from the property.
FIREPLACES - one wood burning outdoor FP is available for use, except during high fire season or windy days. Guest(s) must be able to watch and attend the fire the whole time it is burning, and thoroughly extinguish it before leaving. Firewood many not always be available, and can be purchased at most stores. Two propane fire pits are available and must be turned off after use and/or before leaving the property for any reason. Please follow instructions for safety, and do not leave unattended.
BBQ/GRILL - is also run by propane and the same fire safety precautions apply.
If you need help on the use of anything, please ask. It will be our pleasure to help. Gas must be turned off after use, or you will be responsible for a refill, if left on.
GARDEN- Please feel free to sit outdoors and enjoy our peaceful garden dining area and courtyard. Also, fresh organic veggies (seasonal) may be available. We will offer whatever is available during your stay.
HOT TUB - The hot tub instructions will be shown to you by the owner upon check in. Use only plastic cups for drinks, while using the Spa. The heat for Spa may be turned off during the day to conserve energy, or if you do not intend to use it. Do not add any oil, bubble bath, oil, soap or anything else to the water. The PH is checked daily, and bromide is added as needed for sanitation. The Spa has an ozone filter, as well. No children allowed in Spa. Spa is not available for use during our hot summer months when temperatures are 100+ degrees.
Always use caution while using the Spa area.
OWNER - We live in a separate house on the other side of the shared garden/courtyard.
We try to give you privacy, but we have to perform maintenance of the garden, which we try to take care of when you are away.
PROPERTY ACCESS: You must follow directions for access to property Quiet hours are midnight (12) to 7 am. You are free to come and go to property as you wish. DO NOT RELY ON GPS or disturb our neighbors.
SMOKING - NO SMOKING in the Guest House! Guest(s are welcome to smoke OUTSIDE ONLY.& must use an ashtray. Make sure all butts are extinguished and do not use paper cups or put out on the ground. Fireworks and firearms are not permitted on the property. Above all, please respect our property and our neighbors!
FREE WIFI - We are on a dish and have limited broadband, so NO downloading or streaming movies or YouTube! NO uploading of photos. FREE WiFi is provided for general use only, such as checking email, flight, and general information. While high-speed internet is not available in our area, it is adequate for general use. We have a BLUE RAY/DVD player, and movies can be rented at 'Red Box'.
ACTS OF GOD - Owner shall not be liable for events beyond their control, which may interfere with Guest(s) occupancy, including but not limited to, Acts of God, fire, strikes, acts of governmental agencies, war or inclement weather.
INDEMNIFICATION and HOLD HARMLESS - Guest(s) agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Owner for any liabilities, theft, damage, cost or expense, whatsoever arising, from or related to any claim or litigation which may arise out of, or in connection with Guest(s) use and occupancy of the rental property, including but not limited to any claim or liability for personal injury or damage or theft of property which is made, incurred or sustained by Guest(s). The person booking the rental will be held responsible for all guests in his/her party. If you want to invite short term visits (no overnight visitors) from friends or family for any reason, you must have pre-approval from the owner. Do not give out our address to anyone without our approval. All guest(s) if approved, must be registered, and all house rules,indemnification, and hold harmless agreement will apply to anyone brought on property. Any disputes must be resolved through Resolution/Arbitration.

Everything was great and as good or better than as described. We had our own apartment, with private access to the hot tub, lovely outdoor garden area, grill, and outside seating. Air conditioner worked well, kitchen was well equipped, and a really nice book of attractions and personal recommendations for groceries, restaurants, and attractions awaited us. We will go back again when we are again in the Las Vegas area. Especially well suited for those who want to get as far away from the "strip" as possible. Here you are right up against the mountains on real acreage.

Hospitality is an art that Cathy and Ed has revived and modified for the 21st century travelers who appreciate the simple yet finer things in life. I very much enjoyed my stay. It's on my top 3 go to places in Vegas to get way from it all.

Cathy and Ed's place is neat little find in Vegas, easily accessible from the airport. It's reached on a short rocky gravel drive and abuts open land and the red sandstone hills. A nice retreat from the Strip. The casita is colorful, clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. Our visit coincided with a heatwave, and the AC kept it cool throughout. It is quiet at night although you can hear an occasional airplane, not loud enough to bother us. Cathy is a wonderful hostess and will take good care of you from the first contact!

What a beautiful, peaceful and wonderful place. Cathy and Ed went above and beyond what the average host would do. The guest house was well put together and maintained. I really enjoyed the fact that this was away from the hustle and bustle of the strip but close enough to everything that we needed. The privacy that I was able to have is priceless. Their yard was green, serene and clean. Perfect for mediation if you're into that like I am. This was my first time ever on AirBnB and it was superb. I will definitely stay here again in the future. Seeing the natural wildlife was the cherry on top. I highly recommend staying here.

Kathy and Ed are so friendly and wonderful and think of the little things that will make you feel comfortable. They were flexible with our arrival and were very accomodating. The yard and putside area is even better than the photos and the hot tub was clean and so relaxing. Would highly recommend staying here if your looking to relax. Will definitely stay again if it's available
