Please review the details. We have lots of notes there for you!

The Space

Lovely Artist Studio/Home in the Mission District of San Francisco. Multistory private apartment with Kitchen, Bath, Living Room, Loft, Washer and Dryer, Private Deck. Accessed through Private Garden. A true oasis in the Mission District of San Fransisco walking distance from Bart and Restaurants, Coffee shops, Cafes and Bars..

Accessible from SFO and Oakland airports from Bart. Just take the 24th st station to 18th St. walk down 18th to Folsom and hang a left. It’s the large Green building halfway down the block with the “Allied Box Factory” written on the outside.

Guest Access

Private kitchen, living room, bathroom, bedroom with queen sized bed and private deck. There is a garbage and recycling room in the adjacent building. Go through the courtyard and down the hallway to the parking lot. On your left is the paper recycling dumpster and the garbage room is there as well for bottles, compost and regular garbage.

Interaction with Guests

I have two studios in the building. Most of the time during the day I will be at my metal shop and can be reached easily if there is a problem. I reserve the usage of my art/wood studio which is attached to the kitchen for day use only. I will likely be in there during the weekdays until 6 pm. There is a semi transparent wall that separates the kitchen and the studio with a locked door. There is a separate entrance that I will use to access the studio space. I will not come through the living space while you have it rented with out your consent.

Getting around

Bus Route within a 100' of front door, Rapid transit via Bart to airport several blocks away. Easy to walk around to a great assortment of restaurants, cafes, bars, grocery stores and music venues.

  • Great spot. Exactly as advertised. Lorenzo was a great host, very accommodating to our schedule, and offered a bunch of amazing suggestions for us first-timers.

    April 2014
  • As our first airbnb experience, Lorenzo's gorgeous condo has now set the bar very high and has us excited to use airbnb everyplace that we visit! We absolutely loved everything about our stay - central location, room to spread out, outdoor space, impeccable cleanliness, and a creative artistic decor.

My husband and I were in SF for 4 nights to visit friends and explore. This home was an amazing alternative to a hotel and allowed us to really feel like locals. You do not at all need a car in this location - walking, biking, public transit, or taxis (or uber, lyft, sidecar) are easy options. But parking is easy enough if you do have a car - you just have to be very aware of rotating street cleaning days. And Lorenzo was great about bringing this to our attention. We loved having a handful of places (coffee, food, drinks) literally right outside the door. Then within a few short blocks there are tons of options on valencia. And when we wanted to go further to meet friends in surrounding neighborhoods it was super quick and convenient to get there one way or another.

The converted factory turned live work lofts complex is a respite from the buzz of the city. After entering the lush green courtyard then Lorenzo's unit, you are transported to an artistic oasis that most SF dwellers would covet. When returning from a long day of walking or a night out, we welcomed having a bright, open, comfortable home in which we could relax and rejuvenate for the next outing.

I could go on and on about all of the fantastic aspects of this home. But the photos, description, and reviews sum it all up well. Lorenzo was the perfect host and provided us with all the best comforts that both a hotel and a home could offer. Will definitely recommend to friends and our next trip to SF we will hope to stay here again.

  • The house is beyond beautiful, full of Lorenzo's cool art. It gets tons of light and I could't recommend it more highly.

  • Bring a TV or tablet. Otherwise a visually appealing place to stay, well-stocked, lots of sculptures, art, nice patio, great kitchen...3 floors...Folsom can be a little loud in the early morning, but i'm a light sleeper.

  • Stayed here several times. Comfortable and unique space!

    January 2014
  • Lorenzo's apartment is beautiful - incredibly tastefully designed and decorated, clean and well stocked, and perfectly located near the Mission and all points in SF. Lorenzo was super easy to deal with - arrival and departure were simple and communication prior to arrival was always quick and friendly. I would stay at his place again on Folsom without a second thought.

  • I had a great stay at Lorenzo's place. It was everything he described it as and more. Couldn't ask for a more comfortable place in a great location. He was easy to communicate with and even provided some home-made chocolates on my arrival. Five stars is not enough. I will be back again.

  • This was a wonderful place to stay for a week while I was in town for work. It was secure, private, and pleasant. I most appreciated having a full kitchen that I could use to avoid eating restaurant food every night. Lorenzo was a great host, responded quickly to inquiries, and incredibly thorough with his house information.

The location is great as well. Under two miles to the convention center and close to grocery stores and good coffee.

  • Lorenzo's apartment was terrific and in the heart of the lively Mission District. Lorenzo went out of his way to make the stay work well for us, finding a cot for our baby, providing chocolate and wine and more on arrival, and giving us tips about the area. Highly recommended.

    November 2013
  • The place was fantastic! Could not have been a better experience. Super cool apartment, super cool neighborhood, and fantastic instructions / guidance / setup. Flawless! Thank you Lorenzo.
