This lovely daylight basement is very close to Manito Park, which has a beautiful flower garden in the summertime. The bedroom is cozy, and there are lots of entertainment options in the living area. Jane has done a great job providing a kitchen area and some amenities for breakfast & snacks. Our only note is that the neighborhood was fairly noisy during the daytime, and her energetic dogs are pretty talkative and rattle along the hardwood floors overhead, so some nap times were difficult for our little one. Otherwise, we had a great host, a warm stay, and even a surprise visit from local wild turkeys!

Response from Jane:
My neighbor who works full time has been building a car port at the weekends and making use of daylight hours before the snow comes. I think he finally succeeded in finishing this past weekend.

Wow! This is the type of place that when you walk in, you try to figure out what the special touches are that make it so nice. I was in Spokane for a week of business and really enjoyed a home instead of a hotel. $28 at Trader Jones's and I had my food for the week. If you have the time, head on over to the park just ten minutes away for a lovely walk. I highly recommend Jane's home.

Jane's place is exactly as advertised. She is a warm and lovely woman, and her Airbnb reflects that. Jane went out of her way to assist me with finding a necessary resource, which I very much appreciated. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Jane's place is adorable, clean and well kept. She provided some food/snacks which was wonderful! Her place is very close to the park and in a nice little neighborhood. As she mentions, she has dogs. The place is downstairs from her main house. I slept on the day bed and could hear her dogs between 5:30-6:30am. As an early riser it didn't bother me. My parents were sleeping in the bedroom and they never heard the dogs. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Lovely, quiet accommodations in a charming neighborhood. Jane was very welcoming. The furniture and decor have a unique designer flair. We enjoyed the wide variety of books. The queen bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the spare blankets and pillows. Kitchenette was well supplied with attractive tableware and a variety of breakfast food, snacks and condiments. The bathroom was pleasant but compact, which was fine for us, but would be difficult for a very large person. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay.

I live upstairs with my two Jack Russell's and an old bossy Dachshund!
I came to live in the States from England 33 years ago and have lived in California most of that time, Palo Alto and Laguna Beach. I moved to Spokane 9 years ago and opened Taste Cafe with my daughter, which we ran for 6 years. My daughter and her husband now own Luna restaurant up on the South Hill and I help out with the flowers, inside and out.
I love good food, wine and conversation, walks with my dogs, gardening, movies and the Pacific North West.
Spokane has changing seasons, easy driving, lakes, parks, countryside, affordable housing and a relaxed friendly atmosphere. I will go as far as to say, it's the nicest place I've ever lived!
My motto is: Bloom where you're planted!
All are welcome here.
