Interaction with guests
As much or a little as you would like; it’s your holiday! We love meeting new people and hearing of your travel experiences and equally enjoy helping you with any questions you may have about our area. We both work locally and on our own property so we can be there if you need us. Although the Cottage is close to our own home it is screened for your total privacy.
Other things to note
Although in a rural setting, the Cottage is within secure fencing so is suitable for younger children.
We are happy to share our two bikes, which can take you on a great winery tour, possibly not an extreme mountain biking experience!
Southern New Zealand is world famous for our amazing night skies and stars. Most nights it is quiet enough to hear a 'pin drop'.
Normal daily agriculture activities are part of the rural lifestyle....this can include spring frost fighting (wind machine) tractors and machinery.
**While we advertise as a two night minimum, we are happy to discuss a single night if there is a one night 'gap' in the calendar, or your travel schedule limits you to one night stay (surcharge may apply) **
Relax and make yourself comfortable, the world is a bit slower here. Children are welcome, we are also happy to discuss accommodating your well behaved pet.
Smoking outside only; we are in a very high fire risk area so smokers please take care. Please be considerate of our lovely neighbours and keep it quieter from 10pm.
On our small vineyard and orchard, normal daily agriculture activities are part of the rural (URL HIDDEN) times of the year this can include wind machine, tractors and machinery. We ask that you acknowledge and observe any relevant heath and safely information we share with you, thank you!
Hi we are Anne and Steve...we live in the small artisan community of Bannockburn, the most inland town of equally small NZ! We enjoy local and other cultures and the company of our guests; equally whether we are spending time with you or knowing you are enjoying quiet time to yourselves. We welcome travellers to our special part of the world from near and far to our little piece of paradise.
