Hello! This is a listed building, previously two houses which has been converted into one. This is a large house with one wing being private to you.
If there is anything you need during your stay, we will gladly help!
This has been listed as an entire house, but you will actually be living in one half of the house, with your own front door.
You will have a private bathroom with toilet, sink, bath, shower and underfloor heating.
You will have your own double bedroom with comfortable double bed, large chest of drawers, mirror and hanging rail.
Your private living /dining room has a dining table and chairs, tea and coffee making facilities, a drinks fridge, 3 couches, a fireplace, Cable TV and piano plus wifi.
we also have a FOLD UP single bed for a third guest which we can put in the double bedroom or living room.
Wi-fi is accessible in the living room./ dining room and kitchen. You have access to the kitchen (washing machine and dryer) and to cook with the AGA. All crockery and glassware etc. is available to you as is space in the fridge.
As seen in the photos, there are two front doors to the house. You will live in the second house and have your own entrance to this with a private set of keys.
There is very easy transport from the house into the city, but if you are bringing a car, there is on street parking nearby but spaces can be limited at times.
Interaction with guests
We will gladly help you in any way we can with suggestions of things to do in Edinburgh, directions and recommendations and of course we are always open to conversation.
Other things to note
Just to note, we have a lovely cocker spaniel and a cat. They will not stay in your side of the house, but you might see them in the garden occasionally.
All we ask is that you keep the house clean and tidy and please leave your outdoor shoes in the hall to help with this.
You are very welcome to use the kitchen for cooking meals but please use your own dining area (and not the kitchen )to eat in and wash up after you. Thank you.
No smokers Please.
I am lucky enough to live in the most beautiful house in Edinburgh ( at least I think so). It has an amazing garden that lies on the river of leith and has a huge amount of plants, flowers and fruit trees. I work as a botanical artist, selling cards and gifts at The Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh and various National Trust for Scotland properties and my garden is a constant source of inspiration for me.
I have lived in Edinburgh for most of my life and know my way around very well. The house is pretty well central to everywhere in Edinburgh, so if you are a visitor, with my knowledge of the city and the location of the house, getting around should be very easy.
You will be living in one half of the house with your own front door and access to the kitchen. I live in the other half and will be on hand if you need help with anything.
Please feel free to get in touch if you want to know more and I look forward to meeting you if you if you decide to stay.
