Interaction with guests

However often as necessary. I usually travel overseas and out of state, so I am not usually available. However, there are times I will be available. That is why the bad review from the kid who had no money for a taxi, left the bad review; because she had to take 4 buses to get to my unit and I could not accommodate to pick her up from North Seattle, I was in Italy, quite hard to get from Italy here in short notice. I do have an international number I will provide guest to reach me in case they have questions.

Booking with Gloria and communicating online was odd. But whenever we spoke she was lovely. Unfortunately, like the previous guest she asked that I gather the key from an elderly woman's home, that is about 5 miles from the condo, and back in a little neighborhood. As we were set to arrive at 10pm I was very uncomfortable with that. So I expressed that to Gloria and we made arrangements for me to come the following day so I could gather the key in daylight hours. Mrs. D was very sweet, and clearly a wonderful friend to Gloria. That said, I was so glad to not have been sneaking onto her porch at 10pm. And her house would not have been all that easy to find in the dark. So, I hope that Gloria can work out a new key exchange system. The condo is super cute and has very luxurious towels and bedding and is bright and so conveniently located with a Whole Foods right in the bottom of the building. It was perfect for my 15 year old son and I. I was able to drop him early for camp and come back, do some yoga and chill before getting him back. There is no TV, which I loved!! My son and I were able to hang and visit. There is a hot tub and workout room in the building as well, which we didn't use but looked really nice! I think this is a great place for the price and I am glad I didn't get discouraged by the online discourse we had because we really did love our stay here.

My boyfriend and I loved our stay at this beautiful Condo. The place was clean, quiet, comfortable and everything described was there as is. The location worked well for us, it was conveniently near a grocery store. The host left the keys of the place to an elderly lady named Mrs. Dee. She was very sweet and welcoming, although she wasn't very aware of the process, we informed her a bit of the business. Everything went smooth throughout our stay, although there was a lack of communication with Gloria, it was hard reaching her at times. It's a great place for a short stay. Wish we could've stayed longer!

This place was amazing and we loved every moment. We were able to make a fresh meal out first night there after a trip next door to Whole Foods. Everything was perfect. And we loved picking up the keys from Mrs. d she was amazing and it was totally an appointment arranged by God himself. Thanks so much for letting us share your amazing space. Will stay again GORGEOUS VIEW FROM BALCONY AS WELL.

I want to start out by saying that the unit that my boyfriend and I stayed in was very nice and clean. There were a few red flags along the journey though and I hope for the best in future bookings for this space because it is a nice space. I thought that traveling to a 90 year old woman's home to pick up and drop off keys was strange because this woman really didn't understand what was going on. This old woman's husband died at the end of 2011 and she has been living in the neighborhood since then without a lot of company and surprisingly doesn't know too much about Gloria. She asked me how I knew Gloria and I told her about her business online, but I had never met her. I would have liked for our host to have had her picture on the website and more verifications of her identification and bio to make me feel more comfortable. All I had was a phone number and heard her on the phone, and of course the old woman "mrs. D". The unit has photos of children and a few other people. And the wifi network is labeled Karla so that led me to wonder if this unit was hers or another woman's. I have no idea. I felt uncomfortable with the calls and messages I was receiving as well because she seemed to want to know a lot about the space, while my boyfriend and I were trying to enjoy our time together after 8 months of being apart. It was a little unsettling to keep getting texts about my new instructions about cleaning the house before I left, and to need to send pictures of what the space looked like when I arrived. It was clean, but I really felt like she should always check into the unit before a new guest arrives. I still never met her, and I felt a little awkward cleaning before my departure. I was suppose to be enjoying myself, but I felt stressed, searching the space for paper towels and wondering how exactly everything should be. don't get me wrong, I think a good guest should do certain things to leave the space tidy, but I don't think it was my responsibility to do the laundry for the bed, or take out the garbage and little things that anywhere else would kindly provide for you so that you can do what you came to do. I didn't mind, it just wasn't exactly what I had in mind after working a cruise ship job the past 3 months 7 days a week 12+ hours a day. I served many guests and did enough housekeeping for others every single day. I just felt that the listing should be much cheaper if the listing is solely providing the space. There's access to the gym and hot tub and parking which is nice, but it really isn't her facility she is sharing to...
