It's modern with a few traditional twists, mixing old and new styles, with a fab cooker and a well equipped kitchen. There is geothermal heating and a multi fuel boiler burning stove. For hot water, stove fires need to be burned daily (coal, turf, sticks/wood and firelighters will be left).
The house is self- sufficient with all modern appliances including TVs/gas cooker/electric oven/dishwasher/ microwave/espresso coffee machine/washing machine/dryer. There is a mobile/Wi-Fi signal from various spots around and in the house.
Peace and tranquility awaits you in this modern house in the heart of rural Donegal. However, if you should seek the hustle and bustle of village life, this property is a short drive away from a number of villages including Dungloe, Ardara and Burton Port allowing you to relax and soak what country life has to offer with lots of sheep, goats, cows and horses in the near proximity.
The house is located near Toome, Lettermacaward among relaxing surroundings on the country road off N56, 12km (10 mins drive) from the nearest village of Dungloe and 15km from Glenties as well as within driving distance to all other popular Donegal attractions like Gweebarra Strand and Portnoo, Ardara village, Maghera beach caves, cliffs of Slieve League, Glenveagh National Park and Castle, Errigal Mountain, Donegal Town, Malin Beg and Horn Head.
There is ample parking for multiple vehicles in the large driveway in front of the house.
Interaction with guests
We stay in touch with our guests by email and text, but we value their independence. We have family located nearby who will be on hand to help in case of any emergencies, and keep a caring eye. We would interact with guests as much or as little as they like.
