The space

We provide an exceptionally quiet, comfortable, eclectic and picturesque, b&b in the Adelaide ("Tuscan") Hills. Our two storey sandstone home has lots of light and is settled in a beautiful one half acre garden where you can sit, walk, rest and recover. It is cooler here than on the Adelaide plains.

We have two separate rooms listed in Airbnb. This listing is for Blue Wren. This east facing bedroom is the most even temperatured room in the house. It is downstairs, opposite the bathroom. It is very spacious and has views over the front garden. It has an over head fan, fly screens, queen size bed, with electric blanket, and a room heater.

There is a large bathroom opposite this room with bath, large shower cubicle and toilet. Bathroom essentials and a hair dryer are provided. There is another extra separate toilet. These are shared facilities.

We serve breakfast in the breakfast room. It consists of a choice of cereals, fruit in season, home made yoghurt, toast, home made jams, variety of teas and real coffee. If you choose, we can breakfast with you and chat.
Let us know if you have special dietary requirements.
You can make a cup of tea/coffee any time in the kitchen. Otherwise, the kitchen is not available.

Local Area

Four eating places are a 4 minutes walk away, and, another five are a 4 minutes drive away.

The international airport, coast and city are 25 minutes drive away. All of them can easily be accessed by bus, tram or train. You can purchase a Metro Ticket on board and this lasts for 2 hours use on bus, trains and tram. The Adelaide City Transport system is effective and efficient. Many guests have coped easily without a hire car. We can pick you up or drop you off at the airport for $25 per trip.

Pleasant surprise upon arrival. The accommodation was well above what I would have expected. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners. Always willing to put themselves out. Extending my stay was no problem for them. I would happily stay again. Andre

The interesting architecture, the sounds of many varieties of birds in the mornings, the great gardens and the warm and genuine hosts. Highly recommended.

Les and Ruth are kind and welcoming hosts in their beautiful house, set in a calm and peaceful neighbourhood, but only a short cab ride down into the city. Highly recommended and thanks for a superb stay.
