We were a party of 5 adults and 2 kids and the location and house size were good for us. The kids loved the hot tub, and the views are stunning. The house keeper met us, as arranged, and was very helpful when we had any questions. Would say the house does need some items addressed to make the stay better than 3 star overall. These include: lack of a dishwasher, locks are required on bathroom doors, lack of decent crockery, malfunctioning fridge, the ground floor bedroom has some damp on walls and hole in floor covered by a rug. We had to ask for some more towels, as only 6 towels were provided initially (needed these for the hot tub). There is a big disparity between the bedrooms eg: One bedroom has an ensuite but the downstairs bedroom/ bathroom has no proper shower and is very basic, so this may be an issue for a party of adults sharing.

Ah! One of the best views in Ireland (and we know the country and its regions well!)--and it isn't only one view--it changes magically with light, time, and weather. What an incredible spot, for both staying in and enjoying the environment, and for visiting the many delights so close by. Larry's place feels at once a luxury, spacious retreat, and a place to call home. Both he and Goretti, his local caretaker, couldn't have been kinder and more helpful. We felt very well taken care of, and contact for questions, before and during our stay was convenient and speedy. We have already talked about coming back for a longer stay to savor this most unique roost--and the jacuzzi--which is superb both day and night! I am missing the place just writing this comment...

This has been our first time at Beara Vista and will definitely not be our last. Larry is a very sincere individual and tries to ensure all your expectations are met. The property is very spacious and the house will easily cope with 6+ people. The main lounge has the most spectacular view over looking Bantry Bay and the coal fire provides the perfect atmosphere on days when the weather is unsettled. We were very fortunate in having a couple of fantastic sunny days and hours was spent in the hot tub whilst several bbq's were had overlooking the bay. The view from the house and hot tub will easily rate with some of the best in the world. Beara Vista has not disappointed. It has been an extremely relaxing holiday and even our two kids loved it to bits, we will be back!
