My place is within walking distance to University of Scranton, Geisinger Hospital, TCMC, Downtown, & Nay Aug Park. Also, a 10 minute drive from Montage Mountain and other small towns around.
The neighborhood is called the Hill Section and is filled with old historic homes - It is quiet, but really close to everything in the city. I nicknamed the neighborhood "pleasantville" because it is so cute :)
This listing would be ideal for a traveling nurse/ doctor/ resident/ rotating med student!
Interaction with guests
I would be more than happy to help you in any way you need and will be available should you have any issues, concerns, requests, or needs :)
Other things to note
We do have a friendly orange tabby kitten ( 1 year old) and a small dog (shitzhu) who live in our home. They do roam free but the AirBnB room is closed so they are not in the rooms. If you close your door, they will not bother you.
The kitchen and dining room are shared spaces. Feel free to use plates, bowls, cups, utensils, and pots/pans. If you use something wash it or put it in the dishwasher. DO NOT put the knives from the knife block in the dishwasher, please hand wash them.
Please do not use any food that is not yours.
No unapproved guests.
There is a lost key replacement fee of $20
Please observe quite hours between 10pm - 9am. If you will be returning after 10pm please be as quite as possible.
When coming and going please remember to lock the front door.
Also, Be mindful of the cat and dog, especially when coming and going since they try to sneak out. do not let them outside or into the basement.
Laundry is available for you to use in the basement. Please remove your clothes from the laundry in a timely fashion.
Street parking is available on the entire street. However, the best place for you to park is in front of the white house with the wheelchair ramp (2 houses down, next to the church).
Trash and recycling are located on the left side of the house.
Please leave behind the towels and toiletries we provide.
Report any issues that may arise with the house when you notice them. If something isn't working we would be happy to fix it.
Let us know if you need anything during your stay. Also, feel free to ask any questions about the house or the greater Scranton area. We are glad to help make your stay as enjoyable as
My husband and I are both professors at the local university in Scranton, PA. We love reading, food, watching cooking shows (goes along with food, I guess), and our neighborhood.
