Many thanks to your helpful staff and flexibility. The hotel is in a great location for visiting the temples and botanical gardens of Kandy. Great swimming pool and garden.

Very friendly and attentive staff but we found the pool to be dirty, the fan in our room not working. A good spot to explore the 3 Ancient temples and Botanical Gardens but not Kandy. Misleading note about free Tuk Tuk to Kandy on listing left a bitter taste in the mouth. Won't be rushing back in a hurry.

We were completely amazed at the location when we drew in to the property, it was sensational, our welcome to the establishment, the care and politeness of the staff was exemplary. Whilst our driver decided not to stay we were also very impressed that you would have been able to provide him with accommodation and meals at no extra cost to ourselves, which maybe of interest to others who might be thinking of staying with you. The chalet was equipped with more than we would ever have expected, including a Jacuzzi, which we never had time to try! We adored the little extras including tea making facilities, although it would have been great to have had a bit more basic tea, rather than just leaving us specialist teas, i.e. Jasmine/Green Tea. We chose to do our sightseeing during the day and come back to taste the delights of the cuisine and their dishes of the day. Our first night there was a candle lit dinner on the lawn outside the main building and we were bowled over by the wonderful dishes that appeared for us to sample along with all the other guests who had chosen to do the same. All our meals were lovely and we particularly enjoyed the Sri Lankan omelettes each morning and the array of fruit that was also served to us for which we send many thank yous. We realise that not all Sri Lankan accommodation provides or even allows alcohol, however it should be noted that if you want to drink beer or wine you do need to buy it on your way up to the property, they do not mind you drinking at dinner and there is a fridge in your room. We are also so grateful to the member of your staff who showed us round the estate, which is clearly the pride and joy of you all, his knowledge of the different plants/trees and the spices that are abundant there and his natural enthusiasm were wonderful. My husband was also thrilled to have the opportunity of being able to cool off in the pool in the evenings after our days out sightseeing. We cannot thank you enough for your very kind hospitality and think that you have the most wonderful business, which we are sure will go on from strength to strength and will always be a place we treasure for its experience and will hope to come back one day to your lovely country and perhaps to your property for another fabulous pampering. Anyone who has the opportunity to stay here or is thinking of perhaps a stay should book immediately you will not be disappointed.

Very much enjoyed our stay here - it was like absolute paradise compared to the centre of Kandy. Our hosts made us feel really welcome, and the food was amazing (although at times there was way too much of it) Would definitely recommend staying here for a couple of days to have a break from the city.

Our stay at Athulya Villas was one of the highlights of our trip to Sri Lanka. This is a heritage villa with a lot of character. The hospitality shown by the staff (especially Thilan) was top notch and he was always willing to go the extra mile to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. This a perfect getaway for people who want to stay away from the bustle of Kandy and enjoy a laid back stay.
