What a wonderful place to stay! Vista de Ria is perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday away from it all. Pat and Nick were lovely hosts, they live in the house below the apartment and are on hand for information and advice if you need it. Situated right on the salt pans of the Ria de Formosa it is perfect for bird watching ( we recommend an early morning walk to see a vast number of birds), walking (20 - 30 minutes to the nearest small town Fueseta - beautiful beach, amazing fish restaurants, boat trips), swimming and relaxing. It was very hot when we were there but you could hire bikes and cycle along the coast which would be amazing, the cycle path looked very flat and well maintained. The apartment is lovely, it had everything we needed, thoughtful additions such as beach towels, parasol, cool box etc were great. The kitchen is well equipped so you can cook your own meals if you want to. There is also a BBQ on the terrace. The two twin rooms with their own bathrooms were lovely, great showers, comfortable living area all kept cool with fans. Our only warning is that whilst we were there the Mosquitoes were out in force and delighted in feasting on us! We would recommend taking plenty of insect repellent and cover up if you want to walk in the evening! We would recommend a car to explore the area, the house is quite remote. But potentially you could probably get a taxi from the airport and hire bikes / walk into Fueseta and use the train up and down the coast. If you are looking for nightlife or entertainment this is definitely not the place to stay, but if you are wanting complete relaxation and a beautiful place to stay this is perfect!

Hi All, Yes we know about the car part operators they do operate in all the car parking area's even supermarket car parks sometimes, seems be sign of the times. When they approach us we wave them away and park in another spot, that is if one is free. Glad you had a good time and now back to work refreshed.

Excellent communication in the run up to the trip... Patricia had plenty of useful information about the local area and airport transfers etc. I also appreciated their offer to do some basic shopping for our stay as we originally weren't going to hire a car. Sadly, I was unable to make the trip but my friends had a lovely stay and said how welcoming Patricia and Nick were. Thank you both for being so accommodating, I look forward to seeing your part of the Algarve in the near future!

Pat and Nick are wonderful relaxed hosts and their apartment is a real home from home. Despite the soaring temperatures the apartment was always peaceful, cool and comfortable. We have had a wonderful holiday, enjoying daily dips in the pool, beautiful views from the terrace and easy morning walks out to catch the wildlife on the Ria. Plenty to do and see in the area too, including the Saturday market in Olhao and scenic Tavira. With two teenagers in tow, we were also very grateful for good wifi!

Excellent location, far better than going west of Faro. (Which we have done many times). Extremely peaceful and relaxing. Pat and Nick are very good hosts and run the apartment to very high standards. Would definitely recommend and may well visit again. Enjoy!

Patricia and Nick are a very nice couple. They keep Vista da Ria apartment in great shape, spotless clean and were welcoming whitouth being intrusive. The view from the balcony, where we had our meals, is really awesome. The all place is very quiet - if you love to wake up with the birds singing this is the spot. The apartment is as showed in the photos and in the description. We got an atypical heat wave in June (40 degrees celsius), so the pool was excellent to chill out - inside there are fans to keep it a bit cool . There are several wonderfull beaches nearby, but you need a car to get there or to go shopping in the near town of Olhão or Fuzeta, were you also find some really good restaurants. We loved the place and hope to be back soon.

Patricia & Nick made us feel really welcome at their beautiful villa. The apartment had everything we needed in order for us to just turn up and relax! Pat had left us a welcome pack which was ,much appreciated. The place was incredibly welcoming and nothing had been missed. Towels provided, cool box, ice box , parasol. We literally just needed our clothes which meant no baggage issues for our short trip. The place was great , the pool fabulous and fuseta itself was great and really traditional.
