Pitch up in a picturesque 15-acre cider orchard at Bowhayes Farm Camping, a fantastic base for exploring Devon with Sidmouth and Exeter both in easy reach.
This tranquil, site offers semi-wild camping with beautiful surroundings, set close to a hamlet and within extensive farmland. Check out the farm shop for snacks and drinks too!
There's plenty of wildlife to spot on-site, including badgers, foxes, rabbits and deer. Wider afield the beaches and great walking trails are only a few mins away.
Other things to note
This is a working farm, be aware of tractors, machinery and other hazardous equipment. If it looks dangerous don't touch it!
As a working family farm, safety and your enjoyment are paramount.
The booking is for a single regular pitch (inc. 2 adults - min age is 13yo).
Arrivals
* Admission is only permitted after registering at the Coffee Shop.
* Late arrivals must notify the farm office as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to resell your pitch.
* No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
* There is no reception at this site. Please check in at the Coffee Shop instead.
* Bookings cannot be amended within 2 days of arrival. Modifications are subject to a £10.00 fee.
* A motorbike can be brought instead of the car that is included with your booking.
General
* Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
* In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
* Please note that the shower & toilet facilities are unisex.
* Public areas are non-smoking.
* As we live on-site please respect our private and business areas.
*Quiet hours must be respected between 9:30pm. and 8:30am. During which - Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume.
* Refunds within the indicated cancellation period are only possible if your pitch can be re-sold.
* The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
* The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.
Occupancy
* No hen/stag parties permitted.
* No additional guests.
* No pets without prior notification (Camping).
* No pets in the bell tents.
* No under 13yo.
Pitches
* Please note, pup tents are to be used for storage purposes only. Guests may not use them for sleeping.
* You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.
Reception
* Reception is unmanned after 4:30pm. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.
Safety
* Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
* Firearms are not permitted.
* Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
* Open fires are prohibited.
* Please do not touch or feed the animals.
* Please don't 'play' on the farm machinery or enter the working areas.
Vehicles
* No guest vehicles in the orchard.
* No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit.
* All cars must be parked in the designated area.
* No vehicle movement between 11:30pm and 7am.
Visitors
* Visitors are not permitted on site
