An oasis on the high desert of Southern Idaho, River Ranch Retreat offers 60 acres to wander along rustic paths through trees, orchard and fields next to the Snake River. The cabin has a great view of the river, a full kitchen, and is cozy and fun.

The space

It is a delightful stop along the Snake River where our guests can take walks, have a fire in the firepit, or sit in the shade and watch the river go by.

Guest access

View of the river, rustic walking paths, a firepit with rock benches.

Interaction with guests

We live in the country, and some guests like privacy, others like to visit. We want our guests to be happy.

Other things to note

Over 150 years ago the Oregon Trail crossed the Snake River at Glenns Ferry, about 5 miles from here. The Three Island Crossing is now a State Park and a big part of the history of Idaho.
Trains are also part of the history of this area. Glenns Ferry used to have a round house and a beautiful depot. For over 130 years trains have been going past this area, including what is now the River Ranch, where they still blast their horns as they cross our lane.
This is a working ranch, so from time to time there will be machinery and animal noise. Being it is in the country, you will also hear coyotes, and many birds.
An Additional note: Duck and Goose hunting season begins October 17th and extends through January 31st. On any given day you may hear gunshots from across the river or down river any time from sunrise to sunset.

Location, location, location is what this Airbnb is all about. If you need some R & R head here and chill out on the porch or by the river, the only sound being the insects or occassional train passing. The cabin is well equipped and clean and the bed is very comfortable and the air conditioning was very welcome. There is a porch all around to sit and admire the view. We didn't get to meet Pam or the family but communication was good and checkin easy. A great place for a pit stop and rest.

We loved the place! The Cabin was a cosy delight. The kitchen is really well set up with condiments, coffee and tea, and other extras as well as dishes, glasses, flatware, cookware, etc. The BBQ on the deck is ready to use, and access to swimming in or just enjoying the SnakeRiver just outside the door.

(URL HIDDEN) Are you kidding me? From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the sweetest yellow lab who escorted us in, to the moment we had to force ourselves to leave; this ranch was just amazing. It truly is a retreat. Pam has taken the time to really make her compound a cozy and enjoyable place to rest and play. The cabins are right on the water, where the fish jump next to the massive fire pit where you can stargaze at night. In the morning I made breakfast in the kitchen which had everything I needed including coffee, creamer, and the most delicious English muffins. We were so sad we had to leave, and hope to be able to come back in the future. Don't miss this awesome experience.

This is not your average motel stay! If you are looking to enjoy a quiet get away off the beaten path... This is your place! Pam is wonderful and the property is beautiful. Riverside views every morning, QUIET, and the cabin itself is charming and fully stocked with a fully-supplied kitchen and fridge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!

This was a perfect get away. Pam has thought of everything. We fished off the private dock which was lined with tiki torches. There were two fire pits. We truly enjoyed our stay.
