After reading your review, I feel that in future it might be appropriate for you to stay in more conventional accommodation, such as 4 or 5 star hotels. In that way, you would be less open to disappointment.
It appears that unique homes such as mine are not suitable for your needs. My apartment has been thoughtfully and tastefully curated with authentic and original works of art and furniture, nearly all of which has been carefully sourced by myself in markets, antique shops and local galleries. It is also scrupulously clean and very well equipped to provide comfort and warmth for my guests.
This is obviously of less importance to you than a slightly run down hallway. Also,
I have never received a complaint about noise of any kind.
I notice that you are the only guest in my 3+ years of successful hosting who has had their high expectations dashed. I would respectfully suggest that before you write negative comments about popular and conscientious hosts, you might give your potentially damaging remarks a little more consideration, and exercise some objectivity.. After all, most people do not share your extremely high expectations, and are very happy with their experience in Dublin's inner city where they also receive friendly service, good value and local insights provided in my own guide to Dublin.
