We had a great stay in Hugh's wee cottage. It is perfect for a couple get away for a few days and is surrounded with lovely quiet surroundings. The atmosphere is beautiful; quiet but the nature and hens clucking in the morning was so relaxing and very therapeutic. Ben was a great wee visitor both morning and evenings and was such a quiet calm pup. The cottage is well equipped and great for home cooking. Skibberean is only 10k away and has some lovely cafes and a selection of good supermarkets. We really had a relaxing and peaceful break and would definitely recommend this spot. Top class

We had a lovely stay. The traditional stone cottage and its grounds have been beautifully restored to create modern, comfortable accommodation. Hugh gave us a warm welcome and a fascinating tour of the animals and crops. I'd imagine young children especially would be delighted by the pigs and ducks. There's something great about standing in your kitchen looking out at the hens that laid the eggs you had for breakfast. A car is essential, but with so much to see and do in west cork this is an excellent base.

Hugh and Caroline were very welcoming and friendly while also giving us our privacy. The accommodation is very cosy (the wood burning stove was amazing) and well equipped. The property is ideally located for exploring West Cork being 30 minutes from Skibbereen, Bantry and Clonakilty. I would highly recommend the accommodation for relaxing breaks and romantic getaways.
