As mentioned in the listing the actual accommodation is the former stables next to the castle. Castle is being renovated at the moment but there are absolutely no disturbances because of that. We were a group of seven and a baby - we cooked in the place, saw the goats and had a really lovely time. The place was redone in a very modern way yet combining it with the old atmosphere from before. It is one of the more interesting Airbnb places you can stay! And you can make discoveries at every corner of the place. Thanks again!

This house is a very dangerous place to walk around in the dark. Light switch's are not located where one would expect. Could be anywhere in a room. Stairs are all lob sided, no railings. Cold showers only. Or if the water tank works, only 1 person can shower out of your group. 1 towel per person. Living room furniture should have been replaced 25 years ago. Dishes were all hand me downs or bought at a flea market. I would really like 1/2 my money back.

Response from Stev:
I am very sorry to hear that you were a little disappointed. Yes it is a huge coach house and you can get easel lost in the building (360m2). However it kept its original charm, if you’re looking for a peaceful, very spacious, charming place, in the middle of a historical setting, with a castle which we are renovating, we welcome all of our guests. Stairs have a railing, and the pictures even don’t represent its true beauty! 3 Bathrooms are fully operational with of course warm water. But we do not offer the luxury of a Boutique Hotel. For a couple or a "small group" the house, due to its size is and can be a bit overwhelming. When a larger group arrives, its just this that makes the place so special and pleasant.

An architectural experience. The Carriage house is HUGE -- and well suited for a large party seeking calm and serenity. (We were only two adults and a teen, and were overwhelmed with all the space!) Our host was lovely and passionate about the restoration of the Historic Chateau which the carriage house sits next to. We stayed for two nights and found our stay a welcome reprieve from the noise and high energy of our city life. The local village is very picturesque and you can drive to the sea in about one hour. The kitchen has everything for self catering and in the warmer months the garden must be a wonderful place to spend time. Expensive but an experience.

we had a lovely time in this cottage . the owners communication by email ,text and telephone was great. it was very reasonably priced for a spacious property. clean ,well equipped and had plenty of hot water. 10 of us stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed relaxing in the large lounge , using the bbq area and exploring the grounds. we missed out on meeting the owner, as we had gone to the coast for the day. this was a shame as we would have loved to have learnt more about the chateau being renovated in the grounds. We would definitely use this property again, Thanku for sharing your home with us,
