2 friendly and cosy rooms in 150 year-old farm house. Wooden floors, double-windows, comfortable furniture - and many books. Little fairy garden. Ideal starting point for holiday trips in Bavaria + Kaltenberger Knights’ Tournament each July.
Very generous long-time stay discount - ideal for students (fast WLAN).

The space

There is a lot of originals from 150 years kept. Enjoy a journey through time. And enjoy fast WLAN at the same time. This mix of tradition and modern times is what we call 'laptop & lederhosn' in Bavaria.

Guest access

Private rooms of host and guests are very well separated in different parts of the house. Separate WC for guests. All the rest is for common use: kitchen, dining room, bathroom, garden.

Interaction with guests

Support and information is offered at any time - if wanted. So the guest determines the degree of contact.

Other things to note

Dear smokers, smoking is possible generally only outside. Sorry for no exceptions.

This is a beautiful old house and Therese is a wonderful host. She picked us at the train station and when we arrived to the house, we were treated with Bavarian pretzels. The house is old but renovated and in good shape, eclectic decor, comfortable bed, huge bathroom and cozy kitchen and dining room. There is also a table in the front yard which is green and lush. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee superb (I live in Kenya and I'm picky when it comes to coffee). Therese is a great host, always there to assist when we needed her, but not intrusive. Apart from being a great host, she turned out to be a great company too (which I enjoyed since I was there with two seven year old boys), with interesting stories to tell. She even gave us a ride to the Kaltenberg Castle (that's why I was there with two boys, I was taking them to see the knights at the Kaltenberger Ritterturnier). The village is peaceful and quiet, the only noise were the bells from the nearby church, but the crisp morning air puts you back to sleep easily.

Where do I start? My stay with Therese was great!! She had everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable, it felt like home. The home was very old fashioned and the neighborhood was very safe and quiet. Therese is an excellent host and I'm sure anybody that stays with her will be happy. She made our experience an unforgettable one. Thanks again Therese, I'm sure I'll see you again when I return to Germany :-)

My trip to Egling was very nice. I am traveling with bicycle to villages and small towns around Egling, all with the help of Therese. She kindly help me know how to travel with bike around and to Munich. The house is very good. This is my first time to enjoy somedays in farmhouse. The room is spacious with a private living room.

My friend and I stayed with Therese for a night in August as we cycled through Bavaria, and we cannot speak highly enough of the welcome we enjoyed in Egling a.d. Paar! Therese (and Ferdi the cat) welcomed us with open arms and made us feel right at home. Therese's 150-year old farmhouse is full of character, and our bedroom/living area was spacious and comfortable. We got a taste of traditional Bavarian cuisine in the guise of Therese's beer garden and a delicious breakfast to follow the next morning. Therese is a hostess that goes above and beyond and we would love to come back again!

Empfehlenswert!

Response from Therese:
