Suzanne and Robert were the ideal hosts. They were both very helpful and friendly. The house is very charming in a quiet yet tranquil and scenic location. The ultimate relaxing get away! At the same time it is very close to the Cliffs of Moher , Doolin and the best place to surf - Lahinch!

We adored staying at Suzanne and Robert's home. It is just a short drive from Doolin, Lisdoonvarna, Kilfenora and Ennistymon - a perfect location for exploring what west Clare has to offer. We only had to drive 10 mins to Doolin Pier for a day exploring the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless, spacious and comfortable. Suzanne and Robert were very welcoming, warm, and friendly. They provided us with plenty of recommendations for places to eat and things to see/do in the area. Breakfast was delicious each morning and set us up for our busy days sight-seeing - Thanks, Suzanne! Of course we have to mention Oscar the dog, Panther the cat, and the 3 lovely sheep who made the stay even more enjoyable. We will definitely be recommending Suzanne and Robert's place to any friends and family looking to explore the west and we look forward to returning ourselves in the future.

Suzanne and Robert made us feel very welcome and we felt "at home" almost immediately. Good standard of accomodation, ensuite walk in shower is a plus. Rural location but only a short drive to local attractions and or towns. Breakfast was lovely, freshly cooked and served by the smiling Suzanne.

In short, great location, fantastic house and even better hosts. Robert did the woodwork in the house himself and it's worth taking the time to exam the skill that has gone into making a house as gorgeous as this one. We were also lucky enough to be able to hear Robert play music during a session in Kilshanny House. Suzanne is also a great host who entertained us with many funny stories and has her own delicious take on the Irish Breakfast. Later Suzanne was good enough to share a salad with us which was extra special as it came from her own garden. The area the house is in is also quite bucolic and you'll have a great time wandering around the backroads that show Ireland at its best. Overall, 10/10 for friendliness, comfort and the beauty of the house.

Suzanne and Robert made us feel very welcome. Before the visit they sent us a map how to find their house what was really helpful and nice. They gave us very good tips and advice for activities and how to get around. The house is lovely. We loved the peaceful and quiet location of it and especially the dog and the cat :). We really enjoyed our stay and the little chats with Suzanne and Robert.

Suzanne and Robert were great hosts, they really made us feel welcome in there lovely cottage and garden. We went cycling and walking in the area and they were very knowledge of places to go and things to see. The next morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast prepared by suzanne. The landscape around and nearby in the burren is stunning. Altogether it was a great experience. We will definitely be returning.

We stayed at Suzanne and Robert's house only for one night with regret that we couldn't stay longer. The area is truly magnificent. Robert was a great host, always ready to give us useful tips on what is worth to see in this beautiful area. While he was making a delicious breakfast, his extremely sociable dog Oscar was keeping us a company :-) We really enjoyed our stay and definitely will come back again - this time for longer. Thank you Suzanne and Robert!

Suzanne, native of the Burren, is a Footcare Practitioner, an avid walker and cyclist and would be happy to give directions for the best walks in the area. She is a keen reader and loves to cook.

Robert plays Traditional Irish Music on the button accordion and is often out playing at informal sessions, and can advise guests where the best music will be on any night. He is a keen woodworker, his work is showcased in the house and in the O'Connor's Ice Cream Parlour in Ennistymon which Robert & Suzanne ran as a gift & home accessories shop until recently.

Suzanne and Robert have a great knowledge of the local flora and fauna. They keep Zwartbles sheep on the two acres around the house, watching them from the conservatory is a treat in itself.

Suzanne and Robert will help make the most of your holiday, whether you want to be active or just relax in and around our beautiful home.
