Beautiful wooded stream side location in a peaceful setting yet close to all North Clare attractions. Very comfortable house with spectacular interior details. Great walks and cycles from the house on quiet back roads.
Access to living and dinning areas, the utility room, and a south facing conservatory that is warm even on a rainy day in summer. Watch the sheep graze.
Interaction with guests
Suzanne and Robert are very sociable. Robert is an accordion player of Traditional Irish Music and would be happy to point guests in the right direction to find the best music. Suzanne is an avid walker and will help our guests find the walks that would be most interesting to them.
A quiet out of the way spot, yet easy to find. Just off the main road (N67). Kilshanny House Pub just is down the road. Doolin, Lisdoonvarna, Kilfenora, Ennistymon, Lahinch, Liscannor, the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher only minutes away. A map to our house will be sent by email attachment to our guests.
Nearest Public Transportation is Lisdoonvarna or Ennistymon, so our house is only suited to people with their own car.
Other things to note
Clothes washer and drier available for a nominal charge
Give an approximate time of arrival the day before your reservation. Book in before 19:00.
Make yourself at home, but please no smoking inside. Please close the gate to keep animals in and out.
Cancel up to 5 days before your trip and get a full refund, including service fees.
Suzanne, native of the Burren, is a Footcare Practitioner, an avid walker and cyclist and would be happy to give directions for the best walks in the area. She is a keen reader and loves to cook.
Robert plays Traditional Irish Music on the button accordion and is often out playing at informal sessions, and can advise guests where the best music will be on any night. He is a keen woodworker, his work is showcased in the house and in the O'Connor's Ice Cream Parlour in Ennistymon which Robert & Suzanne ran as a gift & home accessories shop until recently.
Suzanne and Robert have a great knowledge of the local flora and fauna. They keep Zwartbles sheep on the two acres around the house, watching them from the conservatory is a treat in itself.
