Response from Susi:
Oh I love Totnes, not been for years, but I used to work in Torquay and have (had?) friends in Capton not seen for ages - will try to find an excuse to visit :) Forgot you didn't have breakfast - sorry about that!

Great place and very friendly and helpful host. The view from the room is amazing and the room was very clean and well looked after. There was a lovely selection of things for the continental breakfast too.

We enjoyed our stay at Susi's. A very comfortable room with a lovely view and a good breakfast. Susi was very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. Hebden Bridge is a nice town and we enjoyed being able to walk in in the evening for supper.

Great communication and attention to making the stay special. Lovely touch with providing food for breakfast, even with my need to avoid gluten and dairy.

Susi's place is up a hill, which most of the houses in Hebden Bridge probably are but it's just a 5 minute walk away from town. There is parking in front of the house which is ideal. The room is ideal with a wonderful view over Hebden Bridge. It is at the top of the house up 2 flights of stairs. The room had everything we needed, enough room for our clothes, tea and coffee facilities and a lovely en suite. The room is in the roof space of the house so watch your head on the sloped ceiling, my partner kept banging his! Susi is a lovely host and laid out a number of options for breakfast. She chatted with us and made us feel very welcome but left us to eat. Susi's home is really nice and definitely ideal for visiting Hebden Bridge and I would definitely consider booking again if in the area.

I first fell in love with Hebden Bridge about 30 years ago, and like so many people, planned to stay a few years and then realised there is nowhere else like it and I couldn't leave! These days I'm lucky enough to also spend a few weeks a year in my 'second home' in Tucson Arizona, where my partner lives.
I work two days a week as a GP in a neighbouring town and also do some work from home, plus occasionally cooking mexican burritos and quesadillas in my kitchen to sell in Hebden Bridge. I am a member of a fantastic local drumming group called Drum Machine, so I'm sometimes away at gigs at weekends.
I love travel, and recently discovered Air BnB-ing myself, I've stayed in many in the last year, from Ireland to Mexico, all so different. I'm fascinated by meeting new people and getting to know the amazing places where they live.
I'm keen on music (though not much of a musician myself) but you're welcome to play the guitars, piano or ukeleles
