Ian's Cottage has been lovingly renovated and converted from a small barn into a beautiful little holiday cottage set in its own garden with breathtaking views across the fields to the Mendip Hills - not a road in sight! It is the perfect retreat for couples and a great place to unwind. Although it is small we believe it has all the comforts that are essential for a relaxing break. The location is rural and secluded yet only a few minutes walk to the fabulous shops and country pubs of Wedmore.

The space
Sleeps 2 comfortably. Open plan living/dining room with log burner and electric heating to keep you cosy in the winter months. The first basket of logs and kindling is included, thereafter it can usually be purchased on site. Enjoy catching up your favourite programmes or films on the Smart TV. Books, games and cd's are also provided. There is a large comfortable sofa in front of the fire and a pretty little dining table by the the window overlooking the next door field. Well equipped compact kitchen. Bathroom with shower over bath and plenty of fluffy bath towels. Underfloor heating in the kitchen and bathroom. Please note that the doorways in the kitchen and bathroom are slightly lower than normal as it is an old building. Narrow wooden stairs lead to light and airy beamed A frame bedroom with king size sleigh bed with memory foam topper for extra comfort and dressed with crisp cotton bed linen. Dressing gowns and slippers are provided. There are stunning views to the Mendips.

Guest access
The cottage is reached from the parking area by climbing 12 steps and following a stone path across the private lawned garden. The small sheltered south facing terrace is a real sun trap. Outdoor furniture and barbecue are provided so that you can enjoy eating al fresco in the summer, as well as sun loungers for relaxing with a good book and glass of wine on a hot summers day.

Other things to note
Mobile signal can be a little patchy in Wedmore.

Weekly rates available if you make a 7 night booking.

"Lovely relaxing stay we didn't want to leave! Fell in love with the cottage and area."

The cottage is approximately quarter of a mile down a farm track which is easily accessible to all but the lowest of cars.

The cottage is on the edge of the Somerset Levels, renowned for it's National Nature Reserves which attract birdwatchers from all over the world. Whether it's the amazing aerial acrobatics of vast murmurations of starlings in the winter months or performances of the musical variety at Glastonbury festival there is something for everyone to enjoy. This is an excellent area for cycling, golf at the local and very friendly club, cider drinking, fishing, clay pigeon shooting, walking and even retail therapy at our local designer outlet shopping - Kilver Court in nearby Shepton Mallet and Clarks village in Street.

Ian's Cottage is within a 5 minute walk of the village of Wedmore with a good selection of shops selling local produce and three village pubs all selling good food.

Within a 15 minute drive are Wells Cathedral, Glastonbury Tor and Cheddar Gorge. The seaside resort of Weston super Mare is a 30 minute drive and the beautiful and vibrant cities of Bath and Bristol are 50 minutes by car.
