This waterfront lower level private apartment in a two storey cottage is on a quiet boulevard with a spectacular view of Lake Vernon, close to the town of Huntsville and Arrowhead Park, and is within easy reach of world renowned Algonquin Park. - If you are looking for a true Muskoka cottage experience, this is it!

The space
Self-contained apartment separate from the upper floor.
Contains a queen size 4-poster bed;
spacious living & dining room area;
a tub/shower combo in your private bathroom;
a full kitchen including a microwave and portable dishwasher;
Netflix and excellent free wireless internet service.

Guest access
Down by the water, you'll find traditional Muskoka chairs and a table with chairs to enjoy a dockside meal (seasonal).

You are welcome to swim in and around our sandy beach and dock, but no diving is allowed as the water is shallow.

You can launch your canoe or kayak steps from your private entrance or rent watercraft and equipment from a local outfitter’s business in town or in Algonquin Park.

You can even cast your line off the dock to try your hand at catching Rock Bass or Pike!

A scenic walking and cycling floating boardwalk section of the The Great Trail (formerly called the Trans Canada Trail) on Hunter's Bay minutes from your door, which takes you all the way into town following the water's edge (seasonal).

It's a 5 minute drive to the town of Huntsville, which offers a variety of restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and ice cream shops including gift shops which specialize in catering to visiting tourists.

Local indoor and outdoor theatres, art exhibits and tours, and multiple art studios in an around the area.

Grocery stores are a mere 5 minute drive into town.

Arrowhead Park and it's famous torchlit skating trail is 10 minutes from your doorstep and you're only 35 minutes away from the West Gate of Algonquin Park, which is a must see with it’s many scenic trails, lakes and rivers, museums, visitor’s centre, art gallery and gift shops.

Enjoy the scenic sunrises and sunsets dockside in the company of the loon or blue heron and the soothing sound of the lapping lake water. Whether it’s swimming, canoeing, kayaking, sun bathing, barbequing, Bayshore Cottage is truly a wonderful place to relax and play.

Winter offers a variety of local trails for
downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, winter fat bike, and skating.

My husband Ron and I are folk who love to meet new people yet, due to COVID-19, I will welcome you by phone in order to highlight the features of your rental space.

We live year round on the upper floor of Bayshore Cottage so will be readily available via cell phone or text messaging to assist you should the need arise. As this is our permanent residence, we will be sharing the waterfront space during your stay.

Brochures and a guidebook are provided about local restaurants, events and activities for your interest.
