Nestled into the hillside on the edge of town, Tully Cottage is perfectly located to combine beach and bush access with the peace and privacy of our 6 acre rural property. Here you can enjoy the comfort of a boutique self contained cottage set amongst extensive gardens. The location is close enough to duck into town to sample the local produce and eateries, but far enough to escape the hustle, curl up with a book, or settle in with a glass of wine in front of the cozy outdoor fireplace.

The space
The cottage has two separate bedrooms and an open plan living/dining room with a very well equipped kitchenette. A welcome basket of breakfast supplies is provided. The lounge has a comfy sofa which is perfect for curling up to watch movies on the smart TV. The bathroom and laundry have all amenities including hairdryer, washer/dryer and iron. Folding doors open out to a private deck which provides the perfect space overlooking the garden to enjoy your morning cuppa. The BBQ and beautifully crafted chiminea are ready for a peaceful evening enjoying the outdoors. Wander the gardens to discover abundant fruits in season and say hello to our rooster 'The Colonel' as he watches over his flock. If you arrive home after dusk keep an eye out for the local Bennett's wallabies and pademelons along the driveway.

Tully Cottage is located 2.7km from the centre of St Helens. We are at the end of Tully Street and the house cannot be seen from the road. It's a quiet semi-rural area.

Myself and my wife Gaye are new Tasmanian residents, having recently fulfilled a long-term plan to move south. I am Victorian born and bred, and Gaye is a long term wanderer from across the ditch in New Zealand.
We share a passion for the outdoors, which has largely manifested itself in long periods spent wandering the world on our bicycles. We maintained a home base in Anglesea, on Victoria’s Great Ocean Road, for many years; but have also spent time in Darwin, Albury, New Zealand and Canberra in between various expeditions. When not out exploring the local roads and trails on our bikes we also enjoy kayaking, hiking and swimming. Since arriving at Tully we’ve been spending a lot of time in the expansive gardens and discovering the joys of veggie gardens, fruit orchards and chooks.
