Mountain view is 1110 m above sea level and is a beautiful log cabin/staff cage at Haugastøl, with a stunning panorama view over Ustevann and Hardangervidda National Park. Hallingskarvet is seen towards the North. Here's the sun from early morning to late night. The cabin has Rallarvegen and magical Hardangervidda as the closest neighbor. There is a short distance to Geilo and Ustaoset to the east, and Hardanger to the west.
The cabin has nature right outside the door, and you can take advantage of the countless trails and trails in the area

The space
The rental cabin is part of a larger log cabin. It consists of a two-story staff cage plus kitchen and spacious bathroom/sauna. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a fireplace stove on both floors, as well as panel ovens and heat pump.

You can park a car outside the cabin between June and November. In winter (November - June) the road is winter closed, and there is then a parking lot at Riksvei 7, and it will be about 800 meters /10-15 minutes to walk to the cabin.
In winter we recommend to use skis or troughs to get to the cabin. It can be very deep snow, and because it is not possible to see where the road goes when it is covered with snow, we recommend using eg. GPS equipment and headlamp to locate. We'll send out the coordinates to the cabin before they arrive. We also recommend coming in daylight as it is much easier to find the cabin.
There is a transport-pulk available at the cabin for guests to use. There is also a snowmobile taxi in the area.

If you come by train to Haugastøl station, it will take about 45 minutes to walk to the cabin.

There are trails and trails to stunning untouched nature right outside the cabin. There are also several fishing waters in the area around the cabin.

Be aware that the cabin is above 1100 meters altitude, so the weather can get rough, cold and windy sometimes. Good clothing/equipment is important.
It is a beautiful place, with long beautiful mountains and possibilities for long walks on skis. There are great groomed ski slopes 20 meters from the cabin that go into the mountain.

We want you to bring linen/towels yourself, but if this is not possible or convenient, it is possible to rent this for 100 kroner per person. If you want to rent, you must let us know in advance. Duvets and pillows are of course included as standard.

You'll need to clean the cabin before you leave so it will be ready for the next guest.
