This is a stylish detached architect-designed 3 BD house with an enclosed sunny garden in a beautiful village setting. It has a spacious 30-foot living room/kitchen with high ceilings and an open fire. A second lounge has a grand piano, guitar and ukelele for those in a musical mood and an easel for budding artists. The house is surrounded by glorious country walks and 500 yards from excellent pub/restaurant. 4 miles from medieval Lavenham and ideal for coast, city and countryside days out.

The space
It's an ideal space for a family holiday, or for anyone wanting a short break in rural tranquility, with its large main living area and separate second lounge with doors onto the patio and garden. The property sits behind a lockable gate for the security of children and pets. There's a table and chairs in the garden, and beyond the fence is free off-road parking for 2 cars. We also provide wi-fi and an unlimited log supply for the fire.

Hartest is one of Suffolk's most picturesque villages, and the house is just off the green which is surrounded by charming colourful cottages. This quintessentially English village offers beautiful walks through undulating countryside, the perfect relaxing getaway location. It's a short drive to the antique shops and tea rooms of Lavenham and Long Melford, to historic Bury St Edmunds and to the National Trust's Ickworth Park with its wooded dog-friendly walks and children's play area. Less then an hour away is attractive Constable country and the museums, shops and sights of the famous university town of Cambridge. The delightful "tourist route" of the A1120 takes you through Suffolk's pretty villages to Southwold and Aldeburgh on the coast.
