A charming, detached, thatched cottage dating from the late 1800s, and refurbished to a high standard in 2005, nestled in the lush green countryside of County Roscommon.
This quirky cottage makes a unique and cosy getaway, with views over the surrounding fields. The open plan living area of this cottage in Ireland is bright and welcoming, with a stable door and well-equipped galley kitchen.
A lovely cottage in Roscommon, ideal for a romantic or family break.
Close to Lough Rea.
The space
This traditional Roscommon cottage makes a unique and cosy getaway, with views over the surrounding fields.
Note: This property is surrounded by farmland so your pet must be kept under strict control at all times when outside.
The open plan living area is bright and welcoming, with a stable half-door, electric stove and well-equipped galley kitchen.
There is a double bedroom on the ground floor (there is a slight step up to this room), as well as a bathroom which included a bath and shower.
The characterful twin loft rooms are perched in the eaves, looking over to one another, with semi-circular windows and a real hideaway feeling! In keeping with a traditional Irish cottage, the loft rooms are accessed via a spiral staircase and a ladder, respectively. Both loft rooms are open, without a door, in typical cottage style, but they do have privacy curtains. Due to the spiral staircase and ladder access these rooms are not suitable for young children, elderly guests or those with limited mobility.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire house and 2 outdoor garages which contains a utility.
Very large garden and orchard is also included.
Ample parking.
Other things to note
Good Wi-Fi available.
Bed linen & towels included.
Basic cleaning products included.
Toiletries not included (apart from toilet paper & handsoap).
There is a washing machine on site in one of the outdoor sheds.
