Inside Yosemite National Park! 35 minutes from Glacier Point and Yosemite Valley destinations, and close to hiking trails. Beds: master bedroom with 1 king size bed, bedroom with 1 queen size bed, bedroom with 4 bunk beds, and a study with a sofa bed that sleeps 2. Full kitchen and large deck with barbecue, so you can eat dinner and watch the sunset from up in the trees! $361 for 2 guests; $28 per night per each additional guest, plus cleaning fee. 11% county tax included in price.

The space

Hummingbird Raven is in the park, but outside the bustle of Yosemite Valley so it is quiet and peaceful. This house is ideal for groups of family and friends who want a nice house to come back to after a long day of adventure.

This main living area of the house - kitchen, dining area, living room, and master bedroom is downstairs and reached by a spiral staircase. Note: the spiral staircase may not be suitable for elderly people and small children. Upstairs is one bedroom with a queen-size bed, one bedroom with two bunk beds, and a study with a fold-out sofa bed that sleeps two. We have a beautiful large deck with a barbecue and great view of the forest. We have a DVD player and large DVD library in the living room.

Hummingbird Pines House can sleep a maximum of 8 - 10 people.

Yosemite West is inside the Park boundaries, so it's a perfect location to enjoy Yosemite (20 minutes to Yosemite Valley and Glacier Point, and close to various trailheads). It has the advantage of being very close to the Badger Pass ski area, and being at a higher elevation than the Valley, which keeps the temperatures more comfortable in the summer months.

Please note that we do not have wifi or satellite TV, because trees around the house block satellite reception from the South sky. There is no cell phone reception in Yosemite West (there is spotty cell reception in Yosemite Valley).

Minimum age of renter signing contract: 25.

Guest access

Full kitchen, deck with barbecue, extensive DVD library.

Interaction with guests

We can be reached by phone or email during your stay. We have maintenance staff to help with house-related emergencies during your stay.

Other things to note

We don't have wifi or satellite TV available because of trees around the house block access to the South sky. There is no cell service in Yosemite West, but there is cell service in Yosemite Valley. We do have a large DVD library.

We have a phone for local calls. If you will need to make long distance calls, please purchase a phone card from the store in Yosemite Village or on your way into the park.

Hi, this was our second stay in Peter and Michelle's wonderful holiday home and it was even better than we remembered. Their home is really well located to access all the wonders of Yosemite. The house is very comfortable, clean and and well equipped, with a great BBQ and lots of dvds, board games and books for passing time after dinner. A great escape. John

We had a wonderful stay at Peter and Michelle's place. The place is in a great location for Yosemite - we were so thankful to be so close to everything. Its very private and peaceful. We loved spending time on the deck in the evenings and enjoying the last few hours of sunshine. The space itself is great - lots of room, we really enjoyed the open plan living area which enabled us to cook and socialise at the same time. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the whole place extremely clean. Communication with Peter and Michelle was great -informative and very clear. We definitely took the tip from a previous review to shop before entering the park and this worked perfectly, and meant we could really make the most of being in Yosemite for our entire stay. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Great location in Yosemite park, lovely setting amongst the trees. You need a car to be able to get to the valley and most of the main hikes but it's only a 20 minute drive. Great directions provided by Peter and Michelle, they were quick to respond to all questions. Would definitely stay again.

Wow - what a great place to stay. Clean, tidy, well equipped and central to all of the main Yosemite attractions made this the perfect location for a family holiday. We would highly recommend this property, it had everything we needed, with plenty of information about hiking trails and all of the main tourist spots.

The location was lovely, clearly we were in Yosemite, which is beautiful. The cabin was nice and the deck was lovely. One recommendation would be to offer soap in the bathrooms, as we had nothing to wash our hands with besides dish soap in the kitchen, and the nearest store is over twenty minutes away. Additionally, the stairs are very steep, which was not very toddler friendly and difficult for my mother as well. Am unsure if this is listed in the description but is understandable in a cabin on a hill, so we supervised and made it work. The main issue is we had to leave a day early due to a health emergency of one of our party members, and nothing was offered in the way of reciprocation. I understand the owners are in it purely for profit, but offering some sort of refund for the night would have been the right thing to do, since we did end up staying three of the four nights at 445/night.

Response from Peter And Michelle:
On our listing, we clearly say the following: "Note: the spiral staircase may not be suitable for elderly people and small children." If Christina had let us know that she'd be traveling with a toddler and her elderly mother, we would have recommended that she stay at our other house, the Hummingbird Pines House, as there is no spiral staircase and there are two ground floor bedrooms and a bathroom, making the house much easier for elderly guests. Our cancellation fees are similarly very clearly stated on the house listing: "100% cancellation fee if cancellation occurs within 30 days of arrival date, 95% refunded if cancelled dates are re-booked by another party."

Peter and Michelle's home was a wonderful place to stay in Yosemite! The Valley and Glacier Point were easily accessible from Yosemite West. The sunsets from the porch were spectacular.

We have visited and loved Yosemite for many years, and are thrilled to have two vacation rentals in the park.

We love Yosemite for hiking, climbing, skiing, wildlife viewing and spending time in nature. Please feel free to email us with questions!
