Your vacation or business retreat has parking a few feet from your door. This six-unit building is owned by your hosts, with long term tenants screened by them.

Full Housekeeping very large studio apartment. It Sleeps two on King Size bed in Bedroom Area, Four on two Convertible inner-spring full size futon sofas in Living Area.

Kitchen with available seating for six.

Bath with shower.

HDTV with Cable and Broadband Wifi.

This is a diverse melting pot neighborhood "small town in the city". Very convenient location, well-equipped kitchen.

You can walk to everything, this unit is at the downtown of a small town that turned into a suburb.

Also an express and regular bus stop transit hub for five bus lines is one half block away! (See list of bus routes below.)

Grocery, Drug Store, Dollar Stores, Convenience Stores all are within three blocks.

Movie Theater, Bowling Alley, Pool Hall, Library, Medical Clinic, Parks and Churches all within three blocks.

You are even walking distance to parks, including a golf course!

Near Downtown Minneapolis. Easy North Suburban access. At the edge of the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District. Just a few miles from University of Minnesota.

Near all the arts and cultural amenities that the Minneapolis area offers.

Just 23 miles from the Airport and Mall of America, four miles north of Downtown Minneapolis and the University of Minnesota. Two miles south of the intersection of Interstate 694 and Central Avenue.

Coin Laundry one block away. (Long term rental can have access to coin laundry in building.)

We want to emphasize the accommodations are cozy, but fully appointed. The unit and decorating is quite eclectic / arty, which is why we use the term "Bohemian" to describe it.

RESTAURANT NOTE: You can look up restaurants that use an independent DELIVERY service, you have your own room service!

Scott & Jenna do not live in the building, but are always available by cell phone in case of emergency. (We have been property managers for over ten years, and have helped people in just about every situation!) '

If renting this unit or others in the city of Columbia Heights we do need you to send us a photo of the Drivers License or other Identification CONTAINING the LEGAL NAME for ALL adults (18yrs of age and older). It is a requirement of the city to do a background check. We do NOT charge for the check. We do NOT have to send it to the city, and frankly we don't care... but it is paperwork we have to do and because it is mandated by the city we are allowed to place it here as a requirement which Airbnb will enforce. Because Airbnb will not allow an attachment, send to (EMAIL HIDDEN)

1. Smoking is NOT allowed inside the building. Smoking is allowed outside only. Please dispose of cigarette butts properly and be careful with the use of fire.

2. People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of guest.

3. All of the units are privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.

4. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order

5. Only use appliances for their intended uses. Guest agrees that Internet access will not be used for illegal or illicit purposes and indemnifies Homeowner against criminal and civil prosecution for such conduct.

6. Pets are permitted only with prior approval, are generally limited to service animals, and the Pet Addendum must be used if a pet will stay at the unit. Note to those with allergies: cats reside in other areas of the building and dogs may have stayed in the unit in the past. Please keep in mind we thoroughly clean with HEPA type vacuums and all linens are laundered after every guest.

7. Parking: There is usually no limit to parking on the street near the building. NOTE that in winter, there are “Snow Emergencies” declared and your car must be off-street. NOTE that maintenance crews may prohibit parking, please look for signs. Consult with management regarding where to park at that time. Off street parking is generally
limited to one vehicle(s), however two vehicles may be parked one behind the other in the reserved space. Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.

8. Housekeeping: While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service or laundry is not included in the rental rate. It is an option, however. Please ask about for cost. Please ask if you need beach towels. We do not permit standard bath towels or linens to be taken from the units.

9. Hot tub or jetted tub (if in this unit). No children are permitted to use any tub without constant adult supervision. When using the public beaches or tub, remember there is a certain health risk associated with all facilities. For instance diabetics should
not use tubs for extended periods. The timer on the tub should be the maximum time of individual use. Use at your own risk. Our housekeepers sanitize tubs prior to your arrival. Be careful in using a jetted tub. There must be adequate water, but not too much water. Please do not overfill, there is no drain in the bath area .

10. Fire. Candles use is not permitted inside the unit: Any outdoor firepit, gas barbecue or candles may be used with caution. Ask for assistance and instruction before using for the first time. Do not leave a fire unattended. Ask for instruction if you have not used these items before, or if they are not identical to those you have used in the past.

11. Underage Drinking ./ Illegal Drugs: Guest(s) agree not to allow anyone under the age of 21 to consume alcoholic beverages on the premises. Resident(s) agree not to use nor permit the use of any non-prescription drugs on the premises.

12. Disrespectful Behavior: Guest(s) agree and understand that certain things won't be tolerated, including (without limitation) disrespect of property, property owners, neighbors, or company management. Guest(s) shall be respectful at all times. In the event of disrespectful behavior, guest(s) shall be liable for an additional $500 fee.

13. Holdover: Guest(s) agree and understand that they must vacate the premises upon expiration of the rental term date and time of day (11 AM unless prior agreement). In the event Resident(s) remain on the premises after the expiration of the rental term, Resident(s) shall be liable for standard rental rate plus $200/day additional fee until the guest(s) voluntarily leave or are evicted from the premises by the authorities.

Jenna and Scott were quick to offer a substitute room when the one I had requested was already booked. It was located a few blocks from a restaurant my daughter was going to be celebrating her 40th birthday - perfect. Older building. Bed comfy - galley kitchen and freshly painted bathroom had new towels. Because of location and ease, will use again if coming to visit with friends! Thank you ; )

Scott met me when I checked in and was flexible with my check in/out times, which I really appreciated. The neighborhood is simple but definitely felt safe, along with easy parking behind the building. The unit is definitely a basement space that was converted into an apartment. It is spacious and meets the essential needs of an apartment, but not much more than that. We appreciated the cable and big screen TV.

We very rarely cancel a reservation. We are working hard to make sure that does not happen. We purchased software to update our calendars on all 30+ websites we are listing on, including our own, but unfortunately, it is not working correctly. This winter / slow season we are going to try again. In the meantime, we answer the phone 84 hours a week, and respond to emails as promptly as possible. Old timers know that Airbnb used to facilitate Internet based anonymous phone calls, but have stopped doing that. We are happy to chat by phone or email with anyone, and work to respond as promptly as possible.

The basement studio was as expected. Jenna left a note on the door leading into the complex and the unit, making it very easy to find the right spot. Jenna and Scott were quick to respond to questions or issues. The one advice I would give to future stayers, is if you are expecting the target gift card noted in the description, you should tell them up front. I didn't receive one.

Fabulous hosts and very responsive to questions and concerns. The apartment has a roomy kitchen with lots of dishes. The water pressure was fine in the bathroom. The location is very close to the #10 bus, which is high frequency. Altogether a wonderful stay and would do it all again!

I didn't get to meet Jenna but Scott was a wonderful host. Very helpful and easy to work with. I look forward to staying with them again! The space was very roomy and the kitchen was great. Shower is dark and a little small, but overall a great stay in a safe neighborhood!
