Great location

If you’re looking for serenity, peace and quiet, you've found it situated on a private lake at the end of a mile long driveway amidst a 250 acre estate. Built in 1929 as the garage for "Lakefalls Lodge", Snowshoe Cabin was completely renovated and expanded in 2006 into a luxurious and cozy home with modern amenities.

The space
The cabin is ideally suited for a couple looking to escape the urban rat race. The Lakefalls estate offers offers manicured lawns abutting acres of forest and water. Enjoy swimming, miles of hiking, canoeing or simply relaxing indoors or on the deck while surrounded by natural beauty. (There is no charge for use of the canoes and kayaks.)

In the winter time, the trails for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are hard to beat. (Two pairs of snowshoes are in the cabin for your use.) The radiant heat will keep you toasty warm. And there is a wood burning stove to keep you even warmer and a Solo fire pit on the deck - with an abundance of wood provided for both at no charge.

The house has a fully equipped modern kitchen and a propane grill on the deck.

While Lakefalls is located deep in the woods, it's just a 20 minute drive to Keene, NH which offers lots of great shopping and good restaurants and bars.

Note: Dogs are welcome (with the exception of pit bulls and Rottweilers) but there is a $50 per dog charge that will be applied before or on arrival.

I am semi-retired from a large sign and display company based in New Jersey, which I founded 30 years ago. I love traveling and have been to many countries around the world. As I eased into retirement, I took up mountaineering with a passion and have now climbed the highest peaks on seven of the eight continents (7 + Oceana), including Mt. Everest. I hope to be climbing the eighth (Mt. Elbrus in Europe) in the near future. Other likes are biking, music of all sorts, great food and meeting new people.
