Surrounded by acres of privately owned green fields, only 5 minutes from Center Parcs, close to local pubs and award-winning restaurants you can also enjoy a range of outdoor activities (fishing, walking, cycling, kayaking and horse riding). An ideal base for exploring the Royal Canal Greenway, Ireland's Hidden Heartlands or the Wild Atlantic Way.
The space

With an open plan design working seamlessly with the old and new, the blend of cut stone, oak and glass features make this a unique and attractive living space. Whether working from home, quarantining/self isolating or a simple break from the routine, this space is for you. Combined with three comfortable bedrooms and a self-catering kitchen, there is so much to be enjoyed in your new home away from home. Cozy up by the fire with a good book or hop into the rain shower for some much needed R&R.
Allowing for a flexible bedroom configuration, depending on your requirements, we offer you a high level of comfort with a choice of three Super King beds, 6 singles or any other combination that works for you. All rooms are furnished with 100% Egyptian high thread count cotton bed linen, and superior quality pillows, duvets and towels.
Other things to note
We do charge for Electricity and Heating Oil usage for stays over 2 days. There is a €8/day surcharge for two people and €4/day/person for each additional guest. This charge can be settled at the end of the stay.
We do not charge for children under 12. Please do not add them in as guests as the AirBnB platform does not allow us to put a zero rate for this.

The house gets it name from the grey heron, one of Ireland's most distinctive birds symbolising stillness and tranquility, and a regular visitor in our area close to the Barry River. In fact we just recently photographed it sitting silently on our garden table next to the river - check the gallery!
